Tales of Amber

The most recent release from Goldfield & Banks is Tales of Amber, which I first smelled at a launch event at Perfumology some weeks ago, an easygoing but classy blend that smells like a spicy, resinous, orris-laden blend that seemingly reminds some of Dior Homme or Dior Homme Parfum, but which I regard as both easier to wear and more comforting than either, something that stands out positively but can easily be sprayed a bit to excess with comfort. Additional supporting notes that add freshness, sweetness, and color are orange blossom, cinnamon, and (the resins) labdanum & oud. It manages to be sharp but not too heady, provocative but not overbearing, plentiful but not a distractive powerhouse, very good performance but not among the strongest of the house, from what I recall. Its retail pricing is among the highest of the brand (as with most of the extrait collection, which is a higher price point than the EDPs that comprise the majority of the house’s catalogue) at $319 for 100ml, with a travel size of $63 for 10ml, sold in the US at great boutiques like Perfumology. As always, the travel size is a very nice option to try before buying a bigger size, particularly since there is not a more medium-sized (i.e. 30, 50, 75ml) available. This is among the most wearable and versatile fragrances in a very wearable and versatile house, so I could see it being an example that someone could wear abundantly to warrant a 100ml size. Overall, I’m really impressed with this and it might be my very favorite of the line to date. 8 out of 10

It’s really not mass appealing, not a safe blind buy. Personally it’s not for me, I don’t like clogging undertones. I don’t know how to explain. I do see the charm but I wouldn’t wear it. It’s very sweet and clogging, a little bit heavy. I could imagine a man that likes leather jackets and motorbikes wearing it, but he’s not a biker but more a city handsome boy. Or a woman that has a lot of confidence, and maybe younger people that are really into oriental candles, clothes and that style. Although it is not for me, I do think it’s a good fragrance, and as it dried down it became less clogging and more sweet almost smelling like my mom’s make up from the 80’s. When I think about it I associate this perfume with the 80’s although I am born in the 90’s, this is just how I imagine it. So take it with a grain of salt.

The very first review of this fragrance here says "very similar to Althaïr, but lowkey better." I can only agree with the latter part of this statement. This smells NOTHING like Althaïr. But to me this is better. Definitely reminiscent of the Dior Homme line, the same lipsticky iris note being the main character for the opening at least. It then beautifully transforms into an earthier, kind of "stinky in a good way" scent. I'm absolutely memorized by this scent, and although I love so many G&B fragrances - this is the most unique and special one in my opinion, beating Silky Wood (both OG and Elixir), Ingenious Ginger, Bohemian Lime, and rivaling Sunset Hour and Pacific Rock Moss. Masterpiece.

Wait is this low-key really good? At first attempt, I got a screeching iris totally out of solution. Left a note to self “confusing scent tbh. not terrible not great.” Upon a second attempt, I got smooth salty cinnamon resting on a resinous base that never becomes overly vanilla or gourmand. The ambergris dry-down is a little addictive here. I see comps to Althair which I don’t really get (fwiw I get that much more with Silky Woods Extrait), but I maybe get some Oajan here. Frankly, I like it better than Oajan, on account of being less sweet and more woody. Not prepared to call it bottle worthy, but what a turnaround from first sniff. May have to keep a tester on hand throughout the winter.

This is incredible stuff. Starts with a buttery orris with cinnamon spice. It's not lipsticky to me. It's more buttery, a bit earthy/rooty, definitely powdery and very very smooth. Then as it settles you get a realistic orange blossom and this saltiness from ambergris that peaks through. The mix is unique and to me it smells so addicting. The drydown is a sweet but not syrupy or dense amber with a hint of vanilla/smokiness from the oud. You still get the saltiness from the ambergris and a whiff of orange blossom here and there. The sillage on this is gorgeous. I was told multiple times how delicious I smelled. Longevity and projection are superb. A home run from G&B. Love.

For the first few seconds I thought, "Wow... rich, thick, delicious amber." It immediately reminded me of Clive Christian Blonde Amber and Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic. Then, only a few seconds later, it suddenly twists into something much drier and dustier, reminding me of Imaginary Authors fragrances like O, Unknown! or even Cobra and the Canary. That transformation was very unexpected. Luckily, the dusty effect softens during the drydown, leaving behind a pleasant amber sweetness with just a hint of that artistic, paper-like dryness. Definitely more interesting than I expected.

Smells like a sweet driftwood. The Oud here reminds me of Tom Ford's Oud Wood. It smells like a piece of powdery, salty, and sweet driftwood washing up on a beautiful Australian coastline and drying under the pink and orange sunset. Very beautiful scent and nothing quite like it in my collection.

Reminds me of DHP , even more clone Fomos garys den , but drydown is different and more pleasant. Labdanum is dominant here , iris is more background. Overall very nice scent , but not for everyone's cup of tea.

Very warm and comforting with a salty touch. And, yes, just a little trace of a femme fatale's lipstick left on someone's cheek... I love it!

Goldfield & Banks is the best and most innovative Australian fragrance house, and this is a unisex amber fit for the gods.

Got my nose on it already, very similar to Althair, but lowkey better.

Tales of Amber was launched in 2025, and its fragrance was created by perfumer Suzy Le Helley (Symrise), under the creative direction of Dimitri Weber, the brand's founder. The brand's new perfume is part of the Botanical Series, following great successes such as Silky Woods, Purple Suede, and Island Lush. Unlike these three previous ones, which came in lacquered bottles with 24k gold, Tales of Amber comes in a blue that falls between Cobalt blue and Bondi blue. The inspiration comes from one of the most fascinating materials in perfumery: ambergris. Influenced by the encounter between the ocean and the arid landscapes of Australia, the fragrance builds a dialogue between mineral warmth and golden resins. It is classified as ambery-woody and, like Silky Woods Elixir, comes in the Extrait de Parfum concentration, this time with 30% essential oils in its composition. To create a fragrance that portrayed the purity of New Zealand ambergris and a sensuality that captured the scorched earth, sunlit resins, and mineral-warmed skin, notes of New Zealand amber, Base de Laire Ambre 83, two types of Oud, orange blossom, iris, and cinnamon were combined. But before proceeding, I need to talk about Base de Laire. Do you know what Base de Laire is? I'll simplify it a lot here, but I suggest you research the subject further, as it's part of the history of perfumery. Base de Laire was invented by George de Laire in 1878 and is a pre-made fragrance accord, like perfume bases. It is created from a mixture of synthetic aromatic substances with natural raw materials. There are several Bases de Laire in the Symrise's (Fragrance House) palette, and Tales of Amber uses one of the most classic, Ambre 83, which contains the first combination of a natural ingredient (labdanum absolute) and a synthetic ingredient (vanillin). Well, when the Tales of Amber fragrance touches the skin, a mineral freshness emerges, bringing a sensation of seaweed with soft flowers. Here, don't be surprised if you notice salty facets. There are days when I feel them more strongly and others, not so much. I also feel a vegetal and fresh touch, which blends with a soft, rounder cinnamon, and with the peculiar brightness of orange blossom. This one, then, is very noticeable. As time goes by, earthier and slightly powdery facets emerge, and at this point, we notice that the iris butter has decided to make its presence felt. We have an elegant powdery effect mixed with a subtle resinous warmth. On me, I can still notice the orange blossom bringing brightness. In the drydown, the New Zealand ambergris note confers a salty and animalistic aura, extremely refined, enveloped by the balsamic creaminess of the Ambre 83 base. And the oud adds animalic density and a light smoky aspect, creating a warm and sensual trail. The result is an amber that doesn't rely solely on traditional sweetness, but explores contrasts between minerality, burnt resins, salty skin, and powdery softness. The fragrance oscillates between comfort and mystery, evoking warm landscapes and salty wind. I think it's essential to bring up a point here: many people confuse the ambery aspect (of ambergris) with the amber-like accord (whose characteristics are warmer, reminiscent of honey or benzoin, and the name comes from the fossilized stone, which is the base of Oriental fragrances). Tales of Amber retains the animalic, sensual quality and the staying power of the first, but some people find it not "oriental enough." However, those who understand raw materials and know the scent of amber, now synthesized, will gain a deeper understanding of this construction. Tales of Amber has moderate projection, settles quickly on the skin, and its longevity is excellent. The olfactory signature of this perfume is sophisticated and captivating, as well as very unisex. More than revisiting a classic accord, Tales of Amber reconnects perfumery to its elemental origins, transforming raw material into sensory poetry. I liked it a lot!

At first spray I thought that this was very salty. Probably the ambergris hit me right off the bat in the beginning. But as I started smelling it more I get a lot of orange blossom mingling with oud, warm spices, iris and labdanum. Unisex in my opinion a man or a woman could wear this. It kind of reminds me of a male counterpart to my bottle of Providence perfume companies Divine but with iris. It has that really musky orange blossom floral woody profile that that one does. But I prefer my Providence perfume companies Divine to this. I think I will give this to my husband to wear if he will wear it. As it dries down the labdanum becomes somewhat dominant. This is actually quite sweet in my opinion and I'm surprised sweet isn't higher up on the accords listed above. In fact the sweet accord isn't listed at all which surprises me. Are we getting so desensitized to sweet perfumes that we don't even realize what we are smelling anymore? The vanillin really becomes prominent as this dries down even further and for me it becomes a basic salty vanilla if you want my honest opinion. I was expecting more. This is a nice fragrance but I don't see it as anything all that special. Another basic woody, salty vanilla in the end. Somewhat male leaning I suppose. If you like woody vanilla's check this one out. The oud is very mild as well there isn't really anything animalic going on here. This is a very safe release from a house that is supposed to be niche. A salty mild oud labdanum vanilla. My husband likes this and will wear it. He is more of a vanilla lover than I am. Oh and BTW if you think this fragrance is powdery at all You're crazy. More orange blossom than Iris in my opinion. And it becomes a salty, mildly woody vanillin bomb. Bad? No, but not the mind blowing amber I was expecting. Chanel Le Lion 🦁 is a million times better in the amber department. Edit again in the far dry down this reminds me of Paco rabanne Olympia. Very, very salty vanilla. It was better in the beginning when it reminded me of my favorite orange blossom perfume Providence perfume Divine but it was still nowhere near as good as that wonderful perfume. They used quality orange blossom in this. The iris takes a hike quite quickly and the salt and vanillin take over everything for my nose. My husband likes it better than I do. Sample goes to him.

Tales of amber has been on my radar for a while now, I recently tried it and I’d definitely say it’s a tough one to love. Off the bat, there’s hardly any amber at all. The rich, oriental, sun-drenched amber, that is in my mind the de facto profile of amber, is nowhere to be found. The star here is a sweet iris, sweet to the point of a bubblegum-like vibe you’d find in something like Prada l’Homme Intense (I think the DHI comparisons are a bit of a stretch, this is much sweeter). I was pretty disappointed, until the dry down when that missing amber started to poke its head out. I adore traditional amber, it has this unique quality that never fails to invoke an emotional response. It’s gorgeous but has a sort of droning, spacious “resonance” that feels slightly unsettling and lonely, like nostalgic memories from a far away place you can’t remember. Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan and D&G Amber Sun execute this flawlessly, and are what I consider to be perfect reference amber scents. While this doesn’t quite hit the mark, the labdanum provides a similar effect with a lovely dirty, almost incensey scent. The labdanum amber base reminds me a lot of Misfits by Arquiste, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the sweet designer vibe remains rather prevalent the whole time and sort of clashes with the rest of the fragrance, so I’m not sure if this is a love for me. It really does just smell like you took Misfits and injected it with a massive dose of Prada-style iris. It generally does smell good and is pretty unique, I’d say it has potential to fill the void of iris fragrances in my collection, but I’d never spend $250 on this. I’ll sit on my sample and try it a few more times until it hits discounters then maybe pick it up.

Tales of Amber is a unique scent you won't find any other fragrance to compare it to (even though some try) as its niche in every sense of the meaning. The opening while pleasant leaves a hint of mystery that begs a person to ponder what exactly the dry down is going to bring and with that transition comes some voodoo magic as the scent profile warps and twists the notes under your nose bringing forth a truly stunningly gorgeous fragrance man has ever conjured up. Performance is really really good with great longevity and decent projection with a sillage that leaves an enticing trail. If you're looking for a great affordable niche fragrance thats on par scentwise with anything houses like Creed and PDM have to offer then start with Goldfield and Banks they produce some amazing fragrances.

Imagine a sliver of rich, resinous amber warmed by sun and sea air. Tales of Amber unfolds like incense glazed in warm amber, kissed by salty marine air, and carried on warm winds until it settles into skin like a mineral-rich echo. There’s a subtle floral softness beneath the resin, a powdery iris and orange blossom that calms the animalic edge. It’s beautiful and intriguing, sensual yet grounded, with that strange, salty ambergris shimmer that blurs the boundary between earth and ocean. It feels like a gentler, more accessible riff on the deep, leathery warmth of YSL 37 rue de Bellechasse, but with its own salt-kissed, ambergris heart.

Beautiful fragrance. Opening reminded me of the cinnamon in Eyes Closed but this is much deeper and more complex. Projects well, long lasting, more masculine leaning imo. Althair is sweeter with gourmand touches whereas Tales of Amber has more emphasis on the rich woody-amber notes. On my skin, the ambergris was in full force after a few hours of wear - not sure about the ethics surrounding the ambergris used? Excited to see how this frag layers with others!

I agree with some of the other comments on here about screechiness. Although interesting, it is harsh and quite medicinal after the dry down. Nothing wrong with medicinal but you gotta be in the right mood. If you like anything about this perfume but wish it were softer round the edges get your nose on Penhaligons Legacy of Petra, which has some similarities (at least to my nose) but it is much softer, more vanillic and pillowy.

Tales of Amber from Goldfield & Banks by Perfumer Suzy Le Helley is a cozy ambery iris fragrance. The opening and mid are very inviting. I feel like this is iris done exceptionally well. Suzy Le Helley is a remarkable Perfumer with quite a range of skill. The base of Tales of Amber is robust, I could see this being signature scent worthy, since it is not too overwhelming and yet very sophisticated.

As other people have mentioned, the opening if definitely more interesting than the drydown. The drydown, in my opinion, is quite powdery, vaguely sweet, not unpleasant, but nothing very unique either. I am happy with my 10 ml, don't think I'd want to buy a full bottle. Anyway, is quite elegant and unisex, nothing bad to say about it.

It's not a bad scent, but it reminds me of too many things, it was probably put together from these. The orange blossom from Myslf. The lipsticky iris from DHP/Xerjoff Apollonia and Givenchy Society...that earthy slightly smoky vetiver and creamy iris with that ambery/vanillic drydown. I smell all of these in here.

If Dior Homme Intense were to release a flanker like this, I’m sure it would be heavily criticized with comments like ‘it’s basically the same thing.’ The DNA is very similar — not bad, but not different either.

I had the pleasure of trying it yesterday. The perfume smells great. Longevity is easily 12+ hours, and the projection is also very strong. It’s more suited for fall and winter days.

Amber and oud with a soft spice glow. Leans masculine but feels elegant, balanced, and smooth on skin. Warm, polished, and wearable. Not too sweet, not too heavy.

If you want to get an idea of how this smells, I’d describe it as a bit sweeter and more ambery take on YSL 37.

I had been wanting to try this for ages and a friend traded me a sample. I’m sad to say I’m disappointed in this one it wasn’t what I was expecting at all. I’m either totally nose blind to this or the performance is just meh as I can hardly smell this at all. All the notes are usually what I love in a fragrance but this one to me sits close to my skin. I’m not sure what others have to say about it yet. My mother is very vocal on my fragrances so I’ll see if she can detect it either way her spidey senses. Totally unisex fragrance, none offensive but for the price point I want the notes to shout from the rooftops not fade onto the background and I’ve already been wearing it for the day.

Very interesting fragrance. The opening to me smells nothing as described in the note, instead it reminds me of the chalky flintstones vitamins. As time passes the flowery (grape to my nose) notes get replaced with warmer cinnamon and oud notes. To me this feels like the hours between watching the sunset and starting up the fireplace, a cooldown before a moment of warmth. All things considered, this isn't for me as I prefer more woody or even leathery scents. Projection is alright, if a bit close, but longevity is pretty good, lasting throughout the day.

This review is of a retail 10ml NIB. I have let it sit a couple of months, but I should have sprayed it to introduce some air. This is the worse atomizer that I have experienced. I now understand the waxy lipstick analogy that people give many fragrances like Prada L'Homme and Dior Homme. All I smell is lipstick. There is no sweetness or amber at all. This is horrible. I will revisit in a couple months to see if it maserated any. I can't even give this a rating as it doesn't smell anything like a fragrance.

After being very impressed with some of G&B’s other offerings, especially Bohemian Lime, I’m perplexed by how “meh” Tales of Amber is. What I get is some powderiness with a hint of amber. That’s it. Not a bold, punchy amber as the name would suggest - just a faint, generic ambery vibe. I’m genuinely surprised at how little there is going on here - and not in an interesting, minimal way. There is no planet in which this price point can be justified considering what you get. Hard pass.

I was expecting high quality amber to the likes of L’air du desert or amber sultan, instead left super disappointed by a huge synthetic bomb of molecular amber woods and iris. If you like those ultra projecting frags you’ll like or potentially love this. It’s pretty simplistic and designer smelling. What got me to try this was all the stellar reviews from perfume shop employees! Honestly cant help but feel like it’s all just paid advertisements lately.

Opens salty, a bit musky, and waxy. Over time it has a slightly sweet scent and is ultimately a very way profile overall. This scent is very light, not overly rich. Airy overall and again kind of waxy of you get right in it and faintly vanilla. Not so much a powdery iris in this case. Was hoping for a bit more of a rich/dense and radiant amber perfume.

Tried today. There is something oily used on the blend that I can't stand, its cloying to me at the point i had to wash it and scrub it, which is rare in me (only happened with lli sancti and LO exploud) color of the bottle is cool though. Not blind buy safe

I bet most people who voted for DHI or 37 Rue de Bellechasse have never smelled any of them. So sad what this website has become! If you're buying ToA thinking you're getting Oud, you're fooling yourself. There's no trace of genuine Oud in here. Iris and orange blossom opening. Nothing to complain about so far; I actually like it.The drydown is a complete let down for me. It smells resinous, spicy, and woody(NOT OUD-Y). I also get a synthetic quality, probably amberwood. I found it here in the UK for £85, and I'm thankful I sampled it first, bc even for this price, It isn't worth it, imo.

Lovely at first, but sadly this one turns on me. It opens warm and smooth, but the mossy, ambery, oud-leaning base quickly takes over and becomes heavy and uncomfortable on my skin. Well made, but definitely not for my skin chemistry — sample first!

Dissapointing release. Powdery, earthy, dirty smell - no ambers whatsoever. Comparing this to Dior Homme parfum is a blasphemy.

I had the chance to try it yesterday, after a while it seemed to me that people who smelled of stale sweat were constantly passing by me. It wasn't the people, it was this perfume, I've never smelled such an ugly smell in my life, and what's worse is that it lasts a long time. Disappointing, the first collection from 2016 was the original, it didn't look like other perfumes, and later on it was some kind of Arabic imitation. I found information that natural ambergris from New Zealand is used in this perfume, which would mean that this is why it is so intense and for me personally deadly.

- Surprisingly orris heavy for the name. The strong everpresent makeup-y iris makes it IMPOSSIBLE to not think of the Dior Homme DNA, not sure if that works in favor of a perfume with Amber in the name. - Very slightly animalic ambergris is the second star of the show, gives the whole scent a seductive touch from start to finish. - An impressive cinnamon stick note was the standout for me, not making this gourmand, neither feeling like dusty cinnamon powder. It's overtaken by the orris note for quite sometime, leaving me a little unsatisfied though. - Orange blossom is there, but nothing that you get if you go in blind. People who are reminded of Althair probably last smelled it on a strip three years ago, or took a guess from the notes (sorry). - Labdanum and vanilla complete the experience, while still being a bit flooded by the orris, even in the drydown. - Lasts a long time, more than 6 hours, but doesn't scream (and you can't go very heavy on the sprays with a powdery scent). Performance is more in line with Gentleman Reserve Privee, it's there but is it really there? - Easily beaten in presence (and amberiness) by the new Dior Homme Parfum in a different-hand-same-sprays test. I know everyone is supposed to hate that one, idc I like the take on the DNA - Not crazy expensive for what it offers. The bottle alone is an extra reason to get it, so beautiful! - Much love to the house for the availability of 10ml (beautiful) vials, samples and discovery sets.

Not a particularly coherent scent. Dominated by two accords - labdanum and iris, but to my nose not utilised in a way that works well. The former skews very balsalmic; not a neutered amber with loads of vanillic sweetness. This is medicinal. Then the latter is the sort of rooty, smooth, powdery iris you have in the likes of Volnay's Perlerette or Chanel's Misia. The two in isolation are quite well done. The combo though is just sort of muddled. The overall effect somewhat reminds me of Jo Malone's Myrrh & Tonka (not in smell, but in concept - and similarly poor execution). Not particularly evocative, and there are far better fragrances to be spending your money on at the same price point. Also, as an aside, I really don't see the comparisons to DHI/DHP (two perfumes I've worn since release). Maybe a vague resemblance to DHP at times, but overall not alike. I think they were attempting to create something similar, but got the blend wrong.

Wearing this on a cold windy day was nice for a while! I got a semi sweet amber & sort of this vision of a salty skin accord which would prob be the musks & slight animalic accords listed! This reminded me of one I have called Bond No 9 Dubai Amber! I thought It was quite sexy getting wafts of it in the wind for maybe 3 hours During that time I didn’t get the other iris fragrances this shows to be similar to, That is, Untill the 5 hr mark This changed & it wasn’t a change for the better, Unless you like feminine fragrances! This turned into an iris & powder bomb perfume!! No longer any tales of amber in this one! It had such potential at first & was weird how it went from really good to something all together different. But that is just an opinion comming from myself who doesn’t feel as if baby powder & Iris is a good mix & that’s all I get in the end of this one

I have never wanted to try anything from this house & couldn’t tell you why & Now believe I probably haven't missed much! I don’t know what the hell to think! I’m trying to figure out what little I smell, & other than some faint dirty vanilla? I’m looking at the notes to see & I read animalic oud & iris!! That doesn’t sound good to me. Does anyone else think those two go together? But I’m not even getting that..To try & be fair I could be anosmic to this fragrance Because my main criticism is that it’s weak & was sprayed generously all over & nothing good, Nothing bad, Overall, Nothing to see here

This is gorgeous, and absolutely not masculine, or at least not so much that I won’t be wearing it. Beautifully complex, there’s a lot going on but in an interesting way, rather than a mishmash of notes. The orange blossom and moss opening is so appealing, and the cinnamon and orris mid notes are so delicious I want to lick my arm. But then I almost want all that to be over, because the dry down is unbelievably good - vanilla and complex amber, with a hint of oud and the remnants of the cinnamon. I’m getting an FB as soon as it comes out, and eking out my sample until then. Bravo, G&B.

Kinda disappointed and didn't really get much from this - but on my mind were the last few amber fragrance releases hand some of my favorite oldies, that I have and recently smelled by TF Amber Intrigue, Roja and all the Nuits, R Cavelli wood iris and blood iris, Dior Homme Intense/Parfum etc.. and this just felt so faint and delicate - that I think I should let this sit a bit and come back to it.. It's gotta just be me. This is more soft like Black Tie and more Elizabeth Arden soft to my nose.. but I'll come back if anything changes.

Perfect mix of SHL panthea iris and Goldfield & banks mystic bliss.... very creamy buttery orris/iris with an obvious woody element to it. This is what every iris scent should've been but could never do right, not finally goldfield & banks has perfected the iris dna and so far this is the best iris on the market and i'm not even a fan of iris. Forget about the name "amber" it's not really an amber fragrance, think of this as a flanker to mystic bliss just in a different bottle/name

Orris butter and amber. The "Reminds Me Of" section is spot on. Quite similar to Francesca Bianchi's The Dark Side but a bit more commercial, as if it's been mixed with Gentleman Reserve Privee, so it's a bit lighter, woodier, more makeup like, not as musky but still honeyed and slightly lived in. Not groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination but still a great perfume, very sensual, warm and enveloping.

This is serious juice. When I say perfume , I think of a scent such as Amber Tales. Reviewers here has already said the clever stuff, Buttery Orris, Iris, natural sweetness, light smoke and powder with little Vanilla. Wouldn't say it is a crowd pleaser, my coworker kept asking me if I can smell the smoke in the air, I told him it is my perfume. I would probably buy a full bottle of this. Beautiful

i'm only occasionally gobsmacked by a new fragrance. is this a masterpiece?... no, but it's pretty damn close as far as 'ambers' go. the kisses of both cinnamon and orris do not overwhelm, with the ouds and moss adding a perfect counterbalance over the ambergris anchor. the musk and vanilla hover above in a tiny cloud. and all so adeptly blended. yes, it's just that good.

I saw a well respected fragrance creator say this was his top fragrance of 2025, as a big amber fan & G&B fan I wanted to like this, but if you slapped this in a prada bottle you wouldn’t tell. Is signs of that mossy oudiness but is mainly just lipsticky iris, not much amber going on. Well blended but not what I expected, would rather wear silky wood/sw elixr
