Jasmine Rose

The actual notes I saw their rep on Instagram comment back are "Sweet orange, green leaves, peony, bergamot, magnolia, jasmine, rose, iris, and sweet musk" I wish I had known there was a green note before ordering so fingers crossed I like it. Update! This is a really pleasant fragrance. Nothing ground breaking and a bit light but I really like it nonetheless. It starts off with light soapy florals and bergamot. I really see the Amazing Grace comparisons. Of all the floral notes Peony comes through most then rose and jasmine. This is a very youthful rose verses a mature one. Then a very slight mandarin note comes out with a very very slight green leaves note but as someone who doesn't love strong green notes its not overly done. As it dries down the musk note becomes more prominent. This actually reminds me slightly of a much less complex version of my favorite perfume of all time, the original Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker (not the reformulated version). There's nothing not to like here except its pretty light and you need to definitely reapply after a few hours but at this price point I personally don't care. If you spray your clothes it can make it 4 hours. Also this may be one of the safest blind buys I've ever come across. And since I ordered from the Good Chemistry website directly they sent me a free car air freshener with this scent with my order which was nice. Thanks good chemistry

I think it's been two years since I found this, I use it interchangably with Amazing Grace. It's very much a stripped down, oversimplified Amazing Grace, which is pretty nice. This is what I reach for if I'm feeling fatigued from base notes, the musk is very soft, quiet, and airy, whispering but still noticably present, the same is true for the fragrance in its entirety. It projects well without calling attention, and has very good staying power. It reminds me of how Amazing Grace first smelled to be as a kid, which was when I fell in love with AG. I spray it on my linen at night, it makes my bed feel more refreshing. It's also natural. Couldn't ask more of a $20 perfume from Target.

I am beyond ecstatic that they brought this back! I just found it again at Target! Love love love this scent. It is a beautiful, soft, feminine Floral. For anyone missing this and sad that they discontinued it, it is back at Target. 6 or 7 years ago when I discovered that it had been discontinued, I searched and searched as well for a dupe and could never find anything that compared. Thank the fragrance gods it is back!

I love this fragrance. It reminds me of Amazing Grace and it has more staying power than the current reformulation of AG. A very feminine, pleasant, and non-offensive floral. And because I'm a fan, I'm sure this line of fragrances will fold in no time.

I got the solid, stays very close to me without projecting which is what I wanted.

I love the scent but it doesn't last very long.

I've fallen in love with the Good Chemistry line and currently have 9 of their fragrances (all of which I blind-bought based on notes and online reviews). There are two (Cool Glacier and Vanilla Orchid) I've reviewed and will be passing on as they are not for me. The rest of the fragrances I either like or love. The Jasmin Rose is a pretty scent-- very wearable, office-safe, clean, fresh, and floral. As others mentioned, I smell the rose more than the jasmine. Neither one is my favorite scent, but I wanted this fragrance since I figured the blend of the two would be nice, and I wasn't wrong. Rose is a very tricky scent and can be a major MISS if not done well. Those describing this as a "shampoo" scent are not far off. That's what gives it that "clean" smell. JSRBeatles, you are not wrong, there is a sort of aquatic note in this fragrance, hence (again) that clean smell. Bottom line, it's a safe blind-buy purchase, but I would recommend testing it if it's available in a store near you.

Amazing Grace dupe right here. Jasmine Rose smells bright and cheery; ultimately it wasn't worth the investment for me because I already have a huge bottle of Amazing Grace that I will realistically never make it through. This is an easy-going fragrance, but to me more like a lovely shampoo smell than anything else. Even though the Good Chemistry line of fragrance (by Illume, the company that does all those yummy candles for Target and department stores like Nordstrom) has yet to reel me in, I'm still pleased at a launch at Target, complete with testers, so I can play with fragrance whilst on my harried mommy errands.

When shopping at Target a couple of years ago I spotted this line and was happy to see that it was a natural fragrance brand and decided to give their line a sniff. This was the one I liked best. It reminded me of Loves Musky Jasmine which I wore a lot in high school in the 80's. I bought a roller ball, used that up and bought another which is almost gone. It opens w/ a touch of citrus, then goes into the floral notes and settles down to a skin musk scent. Very pretty, feminine and youthful.

Call me crazy, but does anyone else detect a slightly aquatic note among the florals here? I'm reminded a little of the aquatic nature of Laila from Geir Ness.

This is the most old lady dated scent I’ve ever smelled. Is it the rose overload? Or is it the jasmine? Either way it’s not suitable for anyone under 60 imo.

Searching and searching for a dupe for this. My kids are almost sadder than me that I can't find it...they think it's "Mom's scent." I've worn it for years and am so bummed they discontinued it. I've tried Amazing Grace (the regular, jasmine, and bergamot) and while Amazing Grace EDP is very close, the musk base note isn't the same. I can hardly detect any musk in AG, but Jasmine rose has a clean, fresh, light musk on the dry down. Not heavy, heady or too sweet. The rose is not cloying...I feel like I got a bit more jasmine, but maybe just overall, a delicate floral. I sure wish others would post if they have found a similar scent. I don't think this smells like Quai's MP, either.

I am so glad I bought the body spray. This smells so amazing. Soft, jasmine and rose. You can definitely smell the rose in this spray. I will be purchasing the perfume from Target. I own Magnolia violet but I can't stop smelling the Jasmine Rose. Plus you can't go wrong with $24 for a bottle of perfume that doesn't consist of harsh chemicals and has essential oils in it.

When I bought this a few years ago, I absolutely loved it, but since then, the rose has matured into a super powdery rose, which isn’t my favorite. It’s definitely a mature floral scent that doesn’t work with my body chemistry. The scent is pretty linear to my nose - rose, powder, and jasmine.

This has become my work fragrance. I get more rose than jasmine, but that's ok. This is a nice slightly aquatic, soapy, fresh rose...but not a rose water scent. Work friendly, not loud and I doubt this would offend someone.

This is nice, it's very much a shampoo floral. More rose than jasmine. Very bright and office safe, like clean hair and good manners.

This is like perfect dupe for Quai's Melrose Place. It smells like freshly shampoo'd hair!
