It’s maybe silly to add a positive review for something that has been hate-bombed, but I got the Vagina + Orgasm roller duo through their summer sale ($40 instead of $90!) and love the scent. I wish it came in a spray as I generally dislike and avoid rollerballs at all cost. But I bought my sister the candle and ceramic air freshener sort of as a joke, and the smell was so beautiful I had to own it! This is a lovely woody rose that reminds me a lot of Thin Wild Mercury’s Chateau (but obviously more subtle due to the natural composition of Heretic’s fragrances). I get the same sort of vintage armoire holding expensive lace delicates-vibe. I will absolutely buy a backup of this for something to wear out of the bath or with a really nice outfit. No surprise that it is sensual and cozy, but also very wearable.

Review from someone who's actually tried the perfume and isn't offended by vaginas. If you are . . . maybe just don't wear this perfume?!?! Modern rose with musky, leathery undertones and herbal, citrussy top notes. I do think it's very sexy and sensual. Very long-lasting.
- em inglês
1.32 is the note and certainly because of the perfume's name. I actually like it. There are worse names out there. @parfums d'obscurite - thanks, that's what I would like to say.
- em inglês
I hope we get more actress vaginal perfume scents in the future! I wanna smell Cindy Crawford's vagina too! 😁😁🤣

i love vaginer and i love the scent of this vaginer perfume ❤️ smells jus like my vaginer

Goop will never win over its skeptics, but I've enjoyed a number of their perfumer Douglas Little’s fragrances; he's been on my radar since I discovered the candles he put out under the now-defunct DL&Co home goods brand. The name of this perfume doesn't phase me - personally I find the brand's pseudoscience (jade eggs!) and exorbitant pricing ($66 jade eggs!) infinitely more offensive than any attempt at provocative marketing. If the "V" word really raises your hackles, then stay away I guess. Truth be told, though, this is a really nice woody rose, if not wildly original. It's predominantly woods and musks with with beautiful damask rose and herbaceous geranium, nothing complicated but very finely balanced. Feminine scents labeled as "everyday" contenders tend to be light and bright, and this is a slightly darker and heavier fragrance that would still work as a signature scent. For a pleasing, far-from-scandalous rose, one could do much worse than this.
- em inglês
Herbaceous citrus opening, dries to a geranium & woodsy musk. A cool/spicy autumn floral. Not unlikeable. I admit I'm unsure what exactly a vagina smells like, but I doubt it's similar to this. Anyway, the amount of sheer misogyny in these reviews are staggering and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. How immature you are to find such glee in the detestation of women's bodies. What would your mothers think.
- em inglês
Someone's overselling their vagina, noway it smells like roses and geranium! I do not get why everyone's so disgusted and offended though. It's only a tongue in cheek name and vagina is only an organ, part of half the population on earth, intended for sex, which itself is a beautiful act of passion and pleasure. Finding them disgusting is as childish as using them as curse words. 🌹

So, I’ve actually tried this. My coworker has it and wears it all the time, and I have used it a few times as well. As far as the composition goes, it’s not bad, but it’s not particularly anything to write home about. Cedar and rose with some bergamot on top. It does not have great lasting power (maybe two hours on me), but the sillage is pretty intense while it lasts. However, I would never actually purchase this. I cannot imagine having to explain to someone that I’m wearing a scent called “this smells like my vagina.” What’s next, a cologne for men called “this smells like my penis?” It’s pretty embarrassing. Also, if your hoohah actually smells like this, you should absolutely go to a doctor. Rating this as “OK” because it’s not an unpleasant scent. A little generic, expensive for what you get, not long lasting, and with a pretty déclassé name, but on its own, with a different name, it probably would be an alright fall/winter perfume.
- em inglês
@djedi strawman argument. i agree with everyone saying it’s a stupid name and stupid marketing stunt though, and gross (last thing i would want to be thinking about, ever, is goop’s freaking vag. like, how narcissistic do you have to be to think about that enough people in the world even care or want to know what your over privileged essential oil laden freaking vag smells like, let alone pay to smell it and EVEN WEAR IT?) and no matter how much anyone wants to try and romanticize these uhh...types of smells, nobodies vag smells like flowers. or anything pleasant and perfumey for that matter. no matter how many essential oils you put on it. in fact, i kind of feel bad for anyone who puts essential oils down there, must burn like hell, but then again if you actually take any of goop’s “advice” then on second thought, i don’t feel bad for you. anyway, ugh, yuck, gross. not because “vagina” but because *goop’s* vagina. between this and her stupid vagina-i’m sorry, “yoni”🙄-eggs, i just can’t. 🤢🤮🤢
- em inglês
It just smells like a cheap assortment of scented candles from Home Bargains. I’m quite certain Gwyneth Paltrow’s Mary doesn’t actually smell like this as much as she’d like us to think it does. It’s not at all unpleasant but it just smells like a very generic scented candles. I don’t know many people who’d be impressed or want to smell like this. Maybe some of my major scenthead friends but only if generic scented candles was the actual concept, not just the accidental result of trying to recreate the smell of the most sacred of holes.
- em inglês
Will never smell this. It depresses me that someone could’ve actually made this a great floral scent, specifically this could’ve been a beautiful lotus, lily, orchid, etc kind of fragrance. It could’ve been a bright opening that turns into a dark and rich sensual fragrance that could’ve like been an avant garde attempt to show the maturity into womanhood. But nah she just said “this smells like ass”
- em inglês
This is a pleasant, generic woody and lightly floral scent. At $45 + shipping for 10ml, it's bad value when there are so many better scents out there. The name is juvenile and narcissistic. Will the men's version be called This Smells Like My Balls?
- em inglês
And we thought TF FF was ludicrously low brow. Thanks goop. This is just plain gross and a cheap shot shock attention grab. FAIL. And I'm not an OBGYN or anything, but do they really ALL smell the same? (insert crude joke about taste here)
- em inglês
could it be possible to smell one's own vagina? I always have dreams to blow myself... I should give it a try, or try HARDER. or it's all about the vibrator??
- em inglês
Oh the commnts haha Sorry, Gwyneth, I'll pass darling Edit: "This perfume reminds me of" section is even BETTER lmao
- em inglês
Eye-catching advertising is the best way to hide talentlessness and show unscrupulous greed
- em inglês
nigga. ts smells like ohad nachum butthole mixed with noam simanis feces.
- em inglês
Stupid name! It's just to get attention. Unfortunately, it works.
- em inglês
who cares if its a joke. Its incredibly tacky. 🤢

The product of a sick perverted mind.

For all the folks apparently offended by the name of this fragrance, I have to say I'm much more dismayed by many of the 'reviews' posted below. From the comparisons posted (ham-fisted allusions to perfumes with names like 'slut', 'beaver' and 'ho' that bear no actual resemblance to this composition) to a few really revolting remarks I can't bring myself to quote, that seem to express horror at the human (female) body and, implicitly or explicitly, body politic. Apparently, plenty of people here have far less tolerance to a reference to a woman's genitalia than blithely repugnant examples of misogyny. My comments are not directed at everyone who has reviewed either the fragrance or its name disapprovingly, obviously, but I (who consider myself mostly un-shockable) was fairly sickened by some of what's been posted (and approved) here. And where on earth is your sense of humor? The name is clearly mischievous and actually rather self-mocking given the new-age woolliness of the Goop brand. It might help for people to keep in mind that, unlike Tom Ford's use of the word 'F**king', the word vagina is not an obscenity... unless that is, you consider it obscene, which is to say, by definition, something you can't (bear to?) look at. Unfortunately, it appears some people care more about unloading their pent-up vitriol at Paltrow and her rather weird brand than they do about perfume. Please take your aggression elsewhere and leave this site to people who are interested in keeping it a forum about fragrance.

She really is the very definition of "priveleged", but she knows who her customers are. As for the fragrance, it sounds very humdrum, but if it works for you, by all means, be in on the "joke" EDIT - I just want to add that I truly believe that those who are offended by the name are more offended that GP is associated with it. After all, we already have a few "shocking" names, from ELDO for example. Putain de Palaces? Magnificent Secretions? And don't even get me started on Tom Ford! While Fucking Fabulous raised a few eyebrows, he certainly wasn't attacked on a personal level the way she has. This was followed by Lost Cherry and Rose Prick. I may not be a fan of Goop, but it does strike me as somewhat hypocritical as well as misogynistic to find the word "vagina" so offensive, while Ford gets a pass for being cheeky. That said, I don't necessarily care what a perfume is called as long as it smells good, though I would draw the line at fragrances with violent names. I'm happy to see that "Rotting Corpse" isn't a thing. Yet.

I can hardly believe it but I think this is actually a serious proposition on her company's part. This is apparently what civilization (or Hollywood, at least) has now been reduced to. Unbelievably crass and insulting. Agents of her company are actually suggesting that I pay to smell an approximation of her vagina? What a horribly sick and demeaning marketing ploy - the monetization of sexual vulgarity, as perverse as that is, while inviting my participation. Who would have thought that we now have Frag Porn? What kind of mind thinks I should pay to smell their private parts? What does her company think of her fans (such as they are/were) to do something like this? What do they think of her? What does she think of herself to attach her name to this? What if a male Hollywood celebrity tried the same ploy? Would that be OK or be considered deviant? There is nothing cutting edge about this - it is simply over the edge.
- em inglês
People exaggerate, the name isn't half as offensive as Goop's "alternative healing practices" chicanery. But onto the scent itself: It's a thick, heady damask rose beautifully blended with woodsy ambrette and very green geranium. Don't get so much cedar upfront, at least not of the dry variety. More of a green, sappy woodsiness that's prominent in the mid/drydown. I sense a bit of incense somewhere in there too. Clean, subtle bergamot gives the whole experience a brightness. It's nothing particularly interesting, but it is well crafted and certainly a lot more natural-smelling than similar fragrances (suede-y rose) in the market. More akin to something like a high quality version of a Marshall's candle scent. At $45 for a 10ml oil, it's not as ridiculously priced as people are making it out to be. Distasteful? Perhaps. A disgrace to the art of perfumery? Not quite. Remember what Chanel did to the Les Exclusifs line?

I don't have a cat in this game, but I wanted to comment something. I don't mind the name. I think its kind of cute.. What if - You have been woo-ing a girl for a while and you can tell she has a thing for you too. You finally get her out to dinner and you tell her she smells good and she replies. "Yeah, this smells like my vagina." I think that would set a good amount of laughter and really set the night off. Not everything has to be doom and gloom, folks. I find a sense of humor makes for a better day than to be offended at everything. I am tempted to buy one for my wife just because of the name. Gimmick? Heck I don't know. At least it wasn't designed by Vera Wang... The "This reminds me of.." selections had me rolling. But, grow up! LOL I would really like an honest review of it to see if it is worth a buy for my beloved.
- em inglês
Some of y'all are so corny and BORING and need to unpack your fear of vaginas, point blank. Heretic was giving the rollerball away for free during January. I love Heretic fragrances. I would highly recommend getting a sampler pack or purchasing second-hand, since they are pricey and meant to be reapplied through the day. As for the juice, it's a very lovely rose scent. Nothing super special, but excellent for layering. I paired it with Vyrao's Georgette (a pepper-heavy mature rose) and Tom Ford Vanilla Fatale and was super please with my results. TLDR - it's just perfume and 'vagina' is just a word. Keep your opinions about "vulgarity" on Facebook where they belong, with your hateful ugly cousins!
- em inglês
First off: Seriously?! Gwyneth, dear, I'm afraid you're full of sh1t. :) Secondly: IMHO, this marketing ploy is merely crass & low-class vs. sexy, edgy, or anything else it was intended to be (see also: "This Smells Like My Orgasm" candle-ugh). Thirdly: It's *VULVA*, ffs! I'm tired of the terms for women's anatomy being used incorrectly! Calling the external female genitals a "vagina" is akin to calling the male penis and scrotum a "urethra." The vagina is an *internal* organ-which, if healthy, really doesn't have much of a smell. PLEASE stop perpetuating this ignorance! Can you tell that this really p1sses me off?! >:(
- em inglês
Imagine if it was the other way around. A fragrance called ''This smells like my Penis''. The creator would be deemed a creep, pervert, and psychopath. But since it's Paltrow, even though there are people opposing this nonsense, as they should, there's still people out there who think this is all fine and should be possible. All in the name of some kind of ''empowerment''. It's good to see people on Fragrantica are adverse to this type of marketing, but unfortunately many people will find this ''stunning'' and ''brave''.
- em inglês
This comment section is truly hilarious. I hope you aren't the same ones talking about how sensitive the younger generations are? From the blatant misogyny, to the comparisons of vaginas to armpits and feces (you should tell your sex partners to go see a Dr. btw), to the just plain childishness of acting like vagina is a curse word, I don't know what's worse. Yes, duh, it's a stupid marketing gimmick, and I love that it clearly worked on most of you to get you this riled up about it!
- em inglês
Bored rich woman makes safe natural perfume and rails against "vagina phobia". Ten points to Goopendor. Even if this smells pleasant, and it looks like it could be fairly inoffensive (let's face it, Gwyneth's yawni is not something that is ever going to smell otherwise), Vagina Goop is just clickbait to get more rich women to her How To Be A Better White Person site. Even if this was the best scent on earth, there are classier and more exciting natural perfume houses to explore.
- em inglês
I got into natural perfumery and sampling during the Covid lockdown and haven't looked back. I found out about the Heretic line and checked out their website. I never did sample any of their scents because I was turned off by their marketing campaigns and the names of the perfumes. Seemed like a cheap marketing tactic to me and rather gross. If you have to be that provocative to sell perfume then maybe the fragrance in the bottle isn't that good.
- em inglês
OMG lol.. I cant find one comment on how this actually smell's.. I mean sure its kind of stupid, but lost cherry is like that and, like, who cares? I cant believe how upset this name makes people? I guess maybe there is a real sensitivity there? Personally I think its kind of funny, but not in such a polar way, like I have to go get it, or want to burn her house down lol.. Geez, I have never seen such an uproar about such a trivial thing ;)
- em inglês
People assume people don’t want to buy this because of “misogyny” or fear of vaginas! No I don’t want to buy from a pseudoscience website that has sold women vaginal steams (that burned them) and yoni eggs with materials that lead to BV and UTIs! If you actually love women and vaginas, don’t support a woman who has caused damage to them!
- em inglês
I'm loving this commentary :D I imagine this to smell like moth balls, a dusty breeze and old flowers. Symbols of the precipice of menopause coupled with frantic desperation - that one last chance to blow all the bells and whistles to lure in the seed :D Come on Gwyneth! You've had two already! Time to close up shop! :D
- em inglês
She's quite the biz woman. People are definitely going to buy this just out of curiosity. And I love how when you read the name of the frag and the brand name without any commas or hesitation, it reads "This Smells Like My Vagina Goop." If that's the case, someone might wanna make an appointment with a gyn STAT. LOLLL.
- em inglês
Whose vagina does it smell like? Whomever is wearing it, or the person that created it? 🤔 I feel this may be an essential thing to know as there's definitely a lot of ladies whose vaginas I really wouldn't like to smell. I'd buy this just in the hopes somebody, anybody, asked me what I was wearing.
- em inglês
Finally a clone fragrance that has specifically spelled out its inspiration in its name. Probably not very many members here that have tested the original enough to compare. Somehow I doubt this is a worthy replacement for putting one's nose on the real deal. 🙃
- em inglês
"There was this blind man, right? He was feelin' his way down the street with a stick, right? He walked past this fish market, you know what I'm sayin'? He stopped, he took a deep breath, he said... *sniffs* "Woo! Good morning, Gwyneth!" - Afroman
- em inglês
People are talking more about the name than the actual fragrance. The name caught my attention, now I want to read some actual reviews to see if it’s any good, not a bunch of comments b!+çh!ńg about how the name offends their sensibilities 🙄
- em inglês
Thanks Fragranticans for comparing this to such gems as "Old Dry" "Beaver" and "Sushi". Serves her right for the ridiculous name. I couldn't imagine wearing this and answering when someone compliments the fragrance and asks what it is.
- em inglês
This is a perfume by Heretic. The candle was by Heretic and sold by Goop. Paltrow did not make the candle nor this perfume. It does not smell like Paltrow's vagina. Sheesh! Do any of you have reading skills?
- em inglês
Imagine being that person at a fragrance sales counter...”Now try this, it smells just like my Vagina “ !!! I don’t know if I should laugh or feel really disgusted that THIS is actually really a perfume.
- em inglês
Came here for the comments. Was not disappointed. Wonder if they will make a Ralph Wiggum-inspired scent called "My Cat's Breath Smells Like Cat Food"? Truly, we live in an age of miracles.
- em inglês
Oh these comments made me laugh. I think GP looks amazing & I admire her business sense but this is just stupid. And worse, crass. I’m starting to think Douglas Little is a total perv.
- em inglês
I think the name might be better in French, as many perfume names are. Perhaps La Puenter de ma Chatte? There are a lot of good translation options out there. Have fun!
- em inglês
Ugh, cant even get reviews about the scent without scrolling and seeing misogynistic old people 🙄 get a life, it’s a name for a fragrance, it’s not ruining your life.
- em inglês
The people of Fragrantica would do well to learn that just because they disagree with one woman, does not mean they are allowed to be misogynistic in the comments.
