Siargao Escape

If you’ve been around long enough, you’ve already smelled this cologne. There have been countless iterations of this profile from Bench, Penshoppe, Prescripto, Aficionado, those local “perfumers”. It’s summer appropriate, versatile for day and night use, though there are better options from the company for night-time perfumes. That being said, this is an elevated version of that lime-forward, slightly woody scent. The white florals at the heart is a good contrast to the citrus at the top and the synthetics at the bottom. It would’ve been preferable for the perfume to let the neroli shine a bit more, but it’s hardly a problem. The line of sea salt is even reminiscent of Le Sel d’Issey. A nice freshie overall. Performance is much better than the price suggests, but it’s only available in 50 ml bottles so there’s still a compromise in how much you’re going to want to spray. But it’s 30 USD and often available at a discount.

Have a bottle of this and have used it a lot of times. Perfect for warm weather. Scent-wise, opening is very limey and salty reminiscent of the sea. However, the drydown is a bit polarizing because of the added seaweed note. Performance is amazing on clothes lasting for more than 8 hours with moderate sillage allthroughout. 8/10
