After a couple of months of owning/wearing this, I feel ready to review this phenomenon. My mother was gifted a set of this scent plus a few other minis (mini perfume, mini soaps, mini handcream) and she regifted it to me without ever sniffing it - best luck of my life! I felt at first that the scent was good, but nothing to write home about. Oh how wrong I was! It is perfect for winter/fall: a warm, inviting, woody scent that makes anyone want to bury their nose on your neck. It's almost a shame that the version I have is travel-sized, since it means I usually bring it whenever I travel - and I mostly travel for work. The ideal occasion for it in my head is a fall date night (pasta and wine), you spray it lightly over your clothes, but once you remove your jacket and scarf, your partner can't help but be seduced by its scent mixing with your unique skin chemistry. The downside is it doesn't last as long as it should, but for the price it is worth getting a mini for your bag.

It opens up with a lovely citrus, after just a few minutes you can smell woody notes. It's very nice. In my opinion, you can wear on any weather. When I first tried during summertime the smell was different, I would get a lot more of the wood and amber in the opening, now I'm trying on the winter and it is a lovely citrus start, comforting and clean with the wood in the back.

This is gorgeous! Very unisex, comforting, sandalwood forest vibes. Feels intimate. I think this would be great for layering.

I tested it in-store and was quite impressed. I had never really taken the time to try it on skin before, especially since no one ever talks about it. But in this test, I found an extremely comfortable, versatile, and well-balanced citrus woody fragrance. Here we have a Sicilian lemon wrapped in a base of sandalwood and iris, giving the composition a drier, powdery feel, with a light amber sweetness and some spices in the background that balance everything very nicely. This combination of lemon and sandalwood vaguely reminded me of Allure Edition Blanche, not to the point of calling it an inspired version, just a similar olfactory direction. Well... as a first impression, I think it’s a good perfume. Nothing mind-blowingly great, performance is okay too. I actually expected less since it’s not widely talked about, but it definitely has its value. I might get a bottle later to test it more thoroughly and form a solid conclusion. 7/10 (for now)

Na minha pele esse perfume vira um bomba em dias mais úmidos, vai de cada um se gosta de ser percebido de longe ou não, eu prefiro algo mais próximo e de me sentir cheiroso comigo mesmo, então dou preferência para usar ele em dias mais secos, você sente um amadeirado muito forte, como um móvel antigo de madeira nobre com um leve toque cítrico do limão, acho que não é um perfume pra comprar no blind pois esse amadeirado pode incomodar um pouco, no meu caso na vez que eu usei ele no clima úmido ele chegou à até me dar enjoo pela potência, em dias mais secos uso ele tranquilamente una delicia e de qualidade incrível, nunca vi nenhum perfume que se parecesse com esse

A very nice example of this type of a woody & ambery but, at the same time, fresh and summery perfume. Expedicao manages to have a clearly woody base without becoming the least bit aftershavey or wintery, and it has enough citrus and floral sweetness (and sweetness from the vanilla in the amber) on top to counter the dryer base. Very pleasant indeed and nicely blended - anyone could reach for this in the summer and feel refreshed and it’s sophisticated enough not to become boring. Very good balance with sharpness from woods and spices and the sweetness. Light so not a great longevity.

This is the closest thing to Gypsy water that I've found so far. I'd say 98 percent. Far more SI. Ilar that Tocca. It's stronger but doesn't last longer than GW.
