Rosa Damascena

If you are on a quest to find an alternative to Stella EDP look no further. This is it. The opening is a bit different with some citrus fruits coming out but the middle and dry down is Stella all the way. Keep in mind that this is a cologne so the performance is shy. What I do is decant to a small atomizer to re-apply during the day. Plus the bottle is huge. Amazing finding if you love Roses 💕

I blindly bought this cologne and I was a little skeptical because I don't like patchouli, but don't worry about it if you're like me: the patchouli is barely there :)

The bottle is lovely. I can detect both roses and peonies. A shame it's a cologne, because it doesn't project much and becomes linear after some time. Safe.

It’s a fresh musky rose with subtle sweetness. It smells like this traditional “rose water” used for dessert infusion and some cosmetics. It’s nice and light. I believe that it has some woods in the base, because it becomes slightly “darker” in a while.

as with every frag from the brand, the smell is very faint and takes 15 seconds to emerge from the alcohol smell after spraying. it's nice: candied rose and subtly floral and green.

A musky rose w/ a vague sour note. Faint skin scent, no sillage. Shades of Stella...which I wasn't fond of either. Both have a semi-medicinal note that ruins the rose for me. 🥀😕

Saída bem alcoólica, que depois se esvai e dá passagem para uma coroa de rosas frescas. Por ser uma colonia, a duração não é lá essas coisas, mas É UMA COLÔNIA!

Without a doubt, Granado is showing the powerful house that Brazil is in terms of developing fragrances. Rosa Damascena, to me, is a bouquet of fresh red roses and peonies that someone threw in your direction for you to catch and you caught it! Fresh flowers that were recenty harvested and are still a bit humid with dew drops. What a design! It oppens with a citrusy side where I can detect the grapefruit and the mandarin orange but this side doesn’t last long on me, the floral side appears loudly. There is definetely some parchoulli in the very deep but it’s there to enlighten the flowers. A very soft cloud of musk is here too. It’s a cologne and I easily apply 20+ sprays on me! Today I applied something between 7h05 and 7h10 AM and now is 7h35 PM, I returned home from the office, took I shower and I still can smell it! Of course, not with the same strenght but there is a trail here. Beautiful creation, with a long lasting performance and a moderate sillage on me. It’s natural, profound and the peonies here reminded me a little of Annick Goutal’s Quel Amour!, which was amazing! I absolutely loved it!

Since I’m an orphan of Stella... this is my pretty enjoyable, quite lovely makeshift... very similar in my opinion. I love it.
