Queen of The Night

This is adorable. And addicting. It really smell like a real fresh big fat white flower. Actually smell a lot syringa, and jasmine, with that trace of milky sugary gardenia/thiare I also notice in the other Grandiflora: Madagascan Jasmine. Here that jasmine/thiare/gardenia combo is even more almondine praline vanillic, very gourmand. This perfume really make you breathless, maybe to someone can be disturbing. I can't stop sniffing. I do not sense a lot juniper, just that sort of green lymph effect you find in real flowers. I have got Queen of the Night plant in my house. I can not say this is exactly the same smell, because the flower smell half like white lily and half like a cadaver, but I love this scent.

I really liked this perfume. It’s a perfectly feminine white floral. I smelled mostly jasmine and bubblegum-y tuberose. Though, it is really well done and smells amazing. The longevity for me was moderate and sillage was good for the first hour, then not as good for the 5ish hours I could smell it. It made me imagine walking through a garden of thousands of green leaves and white flowers. If white florals is your thing, give this a try!

I love everything this Australian house does. This scent is an aldehydic white floral dedicated to flowers that bloom one night a year and die in the dawn - great analogy with my partying patterns, I go out big once a year and dead by morning. I also like how it tells a story: aldehydic at the start, sensual, juicy floral in the middle and woody musky by dawn.

This scent resembles a beautiful, tropical garden full of lush leaves and heady flowers. It's very floral, warm and sensual. I find it just captivating.

I don't have a reference from the plant itself, but my understanding is the accord here is meant to be as close as you can get in perfumery to the smell of the bloom. This opens with white florals, which remain throughout the wear, and pink peppers/citruses, which fade quickly. Eventually the fragrance settles to a musky dry down where something like creosote (?) is present. Not sure there, but the desert-like smell reminds me of something in El Cosmico from DS&D. Overall, this wears about 4-6 hours. Worth a sample for the uniqueness alone.

First, I found this scent needs to be given a bit of time. On initial spray and 15 mins after, I was not a fan as there was a note that was not bad but just didn't really like (can not figure out which note it is) and the clove stuck out too much for me. It started to really change and continued to for 30 mins, and became nice. I do not like it enough to buy a full bottle and the note that bothers me is still there a smidge, but I could see others really liking this scent. I would give it a "really nice" but on someone else.

The notes are so well blended, the Syringia is captured perfectly, it really smells very natural, this is a stunner! On the drydown, it gets very woody, spicy floral it is a very alluring animalic floral that is so unique, I cannot think of another perfume like this. This reminds me of my youth, summer midnights, moonlit night with night blooming white flowers, burning incense .. it is atmospheric for me. I must add I truly feel this would satisfy those seeking something unique, dark, mysterious and seductive.

This starts off very sweet on me, almost like bubblegum. This softens after a while and then it becomes a lovely floral scent. No flower is particularly prominent, it smells more like walking into a garden or florist and having all the sweet floral smells mixing together. I don’t get much of the incense, woods or amber on me; maybe a touch in the drydown, but predominantly it’s a floral scent.

Queen of the Night opens as a canonical white floral: breathy, ethereal, elegant. Like many others, but they’re all good in my book. The floral has a particularly “watery” or “ozonic” quality, and within a few minutes that abstract air-and-water vibe predominates. (Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour mentions Helional and cyclamen aldehyde, chosen for their fresh, transparent effects.) Queen of The Night is definitely an “aquatic floral”, heavy on sleek synthetics and comparatively lighter on actual jasmine and orange blossom extracts. It’s an aquatic floral done right, sheer and fresh but never harshly chemical. Kind of like a gentler L'Eau d'Issey. Or like the Ormonde Jayne florals, which have a similar transparent, liquid lightness. The base is a sweet, clean floral nectar, making for a graceful soft landing. Queen of The Night, I think, is ideal for times when you want to smell pretty without giving offense. Hardcore white-floral lovers like myself may find it a little tame, but there’s really nothing to complain about.

Wow! One heck of an amazing floral that hits you between the eyes. I couldn't tell you if the aldehydes hit you first!! It's so rich and deluctable. It is sweet yet it smells natural. It is not like any floral I am familiar with but I do so want to be present when QotN blooms on that single night in july. I've got a plant in my greenhouse and I managed to miss the event!! It's a beautiful white floral bouquet with a touch of chewing gum that although intoxicating floats around you and never overwhelms you. It softens and rounds what could otherwise be screechy white notes. It's blooming hard to pick out individual notes as so well blended. The florals recede with time and then I am more aware of the cinnamon and musk on the dry down. I get an image of marshmallows in my minds eye. I think that's because of some powderiness. It closes with the musk, pepper, orange, cyclamen and juniper now much more evident. Sadly I am not so fond of this stage so probably I will pass on going fb. I don't know what my chemistry does with these notes but it's almost skanky. I get very good longevity and sillage.

Queen of The Night by Grandiflora features a heavy floral scent with hints of amber and smokiness. The fragrance feels outdated, reminiscent of old classics that haven't aged well.

I've tried this before, but I recently tried it again in case I remembered it incorrectly. I did not. This is a very watery floral that smells exactly like a perfume I already own. Not surprisingly, it's Desert Queen, which is an olfactory recreation of the same flower as Queen of the Night. Desert Queen is made by Once in a Bloom in Scottsdale AZ. A bottle is less than $50 and it's a beautiful scent. I've owned it for years and it's still as fresh as new, and as fun and uplifting to wear. It smells more concentrated than Queen of the Night, and it's definitely a soliflore. If you love the citrus and aldehyde notes, Queen of the Night is more for you. Queen of the Night brings to my mind, also, Nocturnes de Caron, with Selenicereus wittii replacing the jasmine.

White and midly sweet floral. This is a combination of sweet and white floral. The dominant is the Lily of the valley with big doses of ylang, aldehydes, and orange blossom, with some slight jasmines, cranberries, sandalwood, and orchid. However, the musk comes quite clear after 10 minutes leaving the Lily of the valley and orange blossoms conquering the scene. I just despise the Lily of the valley and musk blend and this fragrance is presenting the LOTV and musk blend in the right way for the ones who love that 2 notes in particular.. so it's not for me but I recommend the ones who loves white floral to try it. Edit (30th Aug 2019) This is quite fresh cut floral. Jasmines, ylang, orange blossoms, syringa, and lily of the valley. Very white floral blend.

This one packs a punch ladies. Not for the faint hearted, this may be the perfect daytime fragrance for a femme fatale. It boldly announces your arrival yet is spared from being overtly vampish with a heavy touch of floral powdery innocence. The aldehydes scream “me first” as usual. I get a lot of powder (although Orris musk or violet leaf aren’t listed) Its a heady dry floral with great Sillage and longevity. One spray of this unique well crafted blend is plenty. Best tested before purchasing as it is rather unique.

I'm afraid I must have the same kind of chemistry as "Smellme11" below me. After 3-4 wears of my sample, I get a stale sort of smell here and I much prefer lush and fresh smelling flowers on me. I definitely don't get any of that with this perfume. I smell a very faint hint of bubblegum in the beginning which is nice but the staleness just stays with me throughout, unfortunately.

An amazing garden. Not sure if I would buy it. Update 12-28-18 Well, actually I changed my mind. The floral opening reminds me an amazing garden, but as this fragrance settles, an amazing musky woody presence comes to settle in my skin. This perfume evokes the comforting memory of raining day with your lover! Sensual but in a quite intimate way! Love it!

This would be such a gorgeous, lush floral if not for the blast of Iso E Super. I really wish companies would disclose when they use this ingredient so that those of us unfortunate enough to be sensitive to it wouldn't have to waste our money on samples. Floral lovers who don't have a problem with Iso E Super should certainly give this a try.

You are a moth that collects nectar from night-blooming flowers at the end of your nightly shift. Your face is covered in cool creamy sweet nectar from all the flowers you visited. You decided to take a break and chew a bubble gum. Meanwhile, some of the creamy nectar dries out and turns into sweet powder which sets on your wings.

Very unique and sweet smelling, almost narcotic. I can’t tell if it smells like any particular white flower and I don’t find it too jasmine smelling, it’s just really well blended. Longevity is 8 hours. Had to get a full bottle due to its uniqueness

I used to witness the bloom of queen of night (that only last one night) once when I was child. Surprisingly, this fragrance does remind me of the real flower to some extent even though it is achieved more likely through composition.

The dominant note of this floral mish-mash to my nose is stale orange blossom. There is also an unrelenting, sickly synthetic (aldehydes/musk/juniper?) note(s) that give the entire composition a plastic, artificial smell.

This is not light floral, rather a heavy gigantic jasmine cloud that just intoxicates you. Very cloying. Not office friendly in any sense, just a bomb... Definitely not for me... Do NOT blind buy it.
