High-rise shadows and a breeze that feels like it's travelled a thousand miles just to hit your face. You feel it in the shift - leaving shade, stepping into light that's sharper than expected. The air changes temperature. Something lifts off you without asking permission. Not gone. Just... not needed anymore. That's exactly how this opens. Immediate, bright, earned rather than decorative. Sharp bergamot catching the edge of something greener - geranium, maybe - but stripped of softness, stripped of ornament. Brisk and focused. A quiet confidence that arrives without performance or hesitation, just presence. There's a herbal spine underneath pushing through early, barbershop-adjacent for a moment, but it doesn't linger there. It knows where it's been and chooses not to stay. Then it settles into the skin. Lavender and coriander - not pretty, not nostalgic, structural. The coriander adds a dry, slightly angular edge that keeps the whole thing upright. There's a moment where it could fall back into something safe and recognisable. You feel it hover. Then cardamom cuts through - not sweet, not soft, just enough dry heat to make clear this isn't about comfort. It's about direction. The base moves slow and warm. Tonka, vanilla, cedarwood swirling together into something that approaches gourmand sweetness without ever collapsing into it. Cedar keeps the lines clean. Even as it softens, it holds its shape; there's a sense of forward motion all the way through. Nothing static. Nothing is settling too comfortably. If there's a tension - and there is - it's in how fast that initial brightness goes. The first hit, that sharp expansive opening, doesn't stay as long as you want it to. The transition happens quicker than expected, and you notice it. Part of you wonders if it could've taken more risk, stayed out in that sharper air just a little longer. But maybe that's not what this fragrance is about. Maybe the point is the movement, not the moment. It feels like evolution without announcement. Masculinity that doesn't brace itself or defend its edges. Keeps what works. Let the rest fall away quietly. You don't wear this to stand still. Vibe: Crisp morning air, cool light on skin, tailored wool already in motion. Performance: Reliable and warm - the freshness fades faster than you'd like, but the core holds steady and distinct throughout. Fit: You wear this when something in you has already decided to move, and you just need the rest of you to catch up. Beautiful old school fougere definately masculine leaning.reminds me of barbershop.. Opens up with bright and lively high quality bergamote. Lavender appears during the drydown. Settles down to a nice blend of soft woody notes, touches of citrus, tonkabeans and spicy touch...Brought me back to the 80s..

Nice one! It’s herbaceous, fresh, sweet and even fizzy. Also a bit soapy. Lots of different facets in this scent. It’s quite bold and radiant too. I feel like it’s an homage to a classic male fougere but made in a really beautiful modern way: My ig: scent.guide

An interesting take on the fougere genre. Not in the least "barber shop". Cardamom is the star of the show, which, when combined with tonka bean and vanilla, give the fragrance a cozy, slightly sweet warmth in the dry down.

Not sure why people say this isn't unique. I've smelled HUNDREDS of perfumes of all brands and have yet to come across anything with this particular blend. Cardamom is my favorite note, but in this one it blends seamlessly with something else - I'm not sure if it's the vanilla or the tonka bean - and they create this soft, cool, caressing, sweetness - that is hard to describe. There's something almost syrupy about the texture but it's not too sweet or gourmand or sticky. The bergamot, geranium and lavender seem to add a freshness / herbal quality that is pleasant and neutral - doesn't feel overly sharp/bitter or green but just a hint of something alive - of the plant family. I'm not even sure what "vibe" this gives off. It evokes notions of optimism, positivity, spring, and brightness. Imagine drinking some sort of sweet cocktail in a garden cafe by the river when it's 18 c degrees out and cloudy but the sun just started to shine through the clouds. I find this one perfectly unisex. Men can easily wear this but should be aware of the softness of it. ### UPDATE: unfortunately this is not as impressive on skin as it is on paper. on skin, the dry-down comes quick and it becomes a more annoying vanilla, losing the balancing facets - as it takes over the entire thing.
