Lumiere Blanche

This perfume has turned into such a lovely surprise. I didn't think I would like it as I am not a fan of Orange Blossom. I find it is a note more suitable to masculine based scents. On first spray it is overwhelmingly Orange Blossom but give it some time and I don't know if it is the mix with Tuberose but it becomes something really special. I could sniff my arm all day at this rate. Two hours later and there is this delightful concoction of creamy floral with the sweetest Mandarin Oranges. Holding it all together is a soft skin musk, gorgeous and perfect in every way. I am really glad I tried Lumiere Blanche and gave the Orange Blossom a chance. First perfume I have tried where the citrus Mandarin Orange takes centre stage and stays there. I love the smell of Mandarins.

This is your classic, very pretty, sunshine white floral that I enjoy very much. At first I found it's resemblance to Giorgio to be off putting, as I had grown to loathe that scent from years of over exposure in the 80s, but when I spray lightly - 2 sprays MAX - I find that the things I disliked about Giorgio fall back and the "California vibe" which I love (and is done so well by Van Cleef and Arpels "California Reverie" for more money and far less performance) comes forward. I'm an East Coast woman, wearing a French perfume, and feeling quite LA Chic while doing so. Far from necessary, but delightful to own nevertheless!

I love this scent. It smells almost like the original Giorgio which is a fragrance I love. A beautifully blended mix of orange blossom, tuberose and soft musk and the longevity is great on me. I seem to enjoy quite a few of the Gres fragrances and have good luck with my blind buys from this fragrance house.

I picked this one up in my hunt for a natural orange blossom scent. Unfortunately, the tuberose us much more dominant than the orange blossom--gives it an almost astringent quality. This is definitely safe for work but you must really like tuberose--and sharp, crisp tuberose. I'm conflicted because I like it but it's not what I was looking for when I bought it. I think the comparisons to GBH are fair but this is definitely not as sweet.

Veryvery creamy on me! The musk was nice but quit prominent second to tubereuse so I resold it. But its a nice ckean white floral, give it a try!

Lumiere Blanche is probably the one out of this collection that I really didn't need. I have a lot of white florals, but I wanted the set, so I set out to find a bottle and did for a good price. I can see why this is compared to Giorgio Beverly Hills, but this is much softer. In fact, on skin, it reminds me of laundry that has hung out to dry in the hot sun. My sister loves that smell, and I am going to test this out on her in August when she comes home to visit. If she likes it, I will give her the bottle. Out of the 4 in this line Lumiere Blanche is my least favorite. The other 3 are really great. If you like the smell of fresh laundry that has been drying out in the sun kind of smell on your skin this is that smell. Edit: 6/7/22 I keep smelling this perfume and it is a strange one. At times it comes off as a Giorgio Beverly Hills type of scent and others I smell laundry straight out of the dryer or dried from the sun. I get the comparisons to Dior Pure Poison as well, a perfume that I was not over enthused by. My husband says it smells nice after it settles down for like 10-15 minutes. Becoming a skin laundry musk scent. As I said above, I will test it on my sister in Aug. Hopefully she will end up loving it and I can give it a good home. It is a pretty bottle, all of the bottles from this collection are very nice. It is a shame this perfume didn't capture me like the others in this line did. Edit: 6/20/22 I keep revisiting this hoping I will end up liking it but the more I smell it the more I know it isn't for me. The peach in here is very green, the florals have a creaminess to them but it is only slight, like the florals are of a quickly grown hot house variety. It is almost like they have little life. This is a very stark perfume, starkly white, blinding. It might be a little to California for me a Yankee from PA. If anyone reads this again and wants this perfume PM me I will send it to you for the shipping cost and no more. I would rather it have a good home and be enjoyed.

Like others here I also get Giorgio vibes and I was sure hoping I wouldn't as I never like that scent, aside from thinking it was obnoxious. I just wasn't crazy about the composition as a whole and the way it smelled. But this is much, much lighter in comparison, which should be a good thing, except this has a high alcohol content or some chemical in it that makes me think that. It could just be the weird peach note that makes it smell that way. It then takes an unfortunate turn and dries down to laundry detergent on me. Fortunately, this all happens over the course of about 2 hours where it then mercifully disappears. If you like the scent of Giorgio but didn't like the volume of the original, then just get the latest version. It's no longer screamingly loud; doesn't smell like alcohol or dry down to laundry detergent and performs much better than this.

Lumiere Blanche is a very nice surprise, I like it a lot!! It goes on rich, a bit thick in the top notes, but beautifully feminine and luminous, .the tuberose and orange blossom works great, the orange blossom softens the tuberose, so if you don't like too much of it, like I dont like tuberose scents, it is enough of it, not too much..in the base there is a lightness and a soft almost sweet vibe, with the peach and the mandarine , so although it starts with a punch, it gets softer and even prettier in the base...I don't see any similarities with Coco Mademoiselle, which is oilier and bolder...I much prefer Lumiere Blanche!! Great creation, classy edge, yet very easy to wear, more suited in cool weather..

I don’t get any of the orange blossom, white florals, or tuberose, on me this is a sharp, unisex scent with musk undertones.

Fragrance Review For Lumiere Blanche Gres Top Notes: Mandarin Orange Peach Middle Notes: Orange Blossom Tuberose Base Notes: Musk Lumiere Blanche (White Light) is a soft citrusy floral. The tuberose scent is not screaming at you. It's subtle and soapy, freshened up and sweetened with the fruit notes of mandarin and peach. On me it was mainly the fruit and orange blossom. It has a delicate touch and it's very feminine. It's easy to wear and perfect to spritz on after your shower or bath. It's a pick me up scent that can take you through your day. Unfortunately on me it lasts a short time not long enough for me to really get into it. I wondered if the musk would help but it's mostly a soap scent with white flowers and citrus. It is very nice and it's a welcomed fragrance for spring and summer. It's a beach scent, too, a vacation scent, and even a summer party fragrance. The sillage is poor and no one can detect it unless they're actually kissing your skin. Very sweet, very girly, and rather tame but sometimes I want simple fragrances in my wardrobe. It doesn't always have to be those bombs with leather, musk, woods, oud, amber or incense. It's a deliciously sweet fruity floral fragrance. It's also a good alternative for Giorgio Beverly Hills. I happen to really love vintage Giorgio BH but this is very nice to wear as well.

I remember testing this a few months ago and it didn't remind me of Giorgio. I remember this was much lighter, without the retro vibe and more along the lines of Chanel Mademoiselle but not so sweet, very office friendly. I didn't care for it, found it wasn't too distinctive and was way too formal. I think I may test it again another day and see if my opinion changes. I also tested Lumiere Noir and preferred the Blanche one: Noir didn't strike me as "noir" at all, found it too sweet and more along the lines of Chanel Mademoiselle wich I dislike.

just got this in the mail today. bought it because i used to own giordani gold body cream, not the perfume, and remembering how much i love the body cream scent. from a single spray to the wrist i have to say that this is a STRONG scent on me, almost unbearable to breath it directly from skin. to tone the scent down a bit, i sprayed rubbing alcohol to the same spot and it turned to the scent of the body cream i used to love. will have to try on a different day on the performance.

Just washed white scarf drying in nordic wind... Clean and fresh tuberose and orange blossom combination with little fruit sweetness. Scent is soapy almost like laundry detergent fortunately with zero sharpness thanks to creamy musk. With this perfume you get classic and elegant style. It is winter alternative for Eau de Giorgio - which is thanks to vanilla great summer perfume.

A fresher, soapier, Summerier Giorgio. The soapiness on first spray reminds me of walking into a Mexican lady's house just cleaned with Fabuloso, comforting. That fades to musk mixed with a heavy, fruit juiciness, citrus and peach. Definite Summer wearable but more complex than an ordinary warm weather floral or fruity scent. Very different than what's out there now.

On me, this is exactly like Giorgio Beverly Hills, only it does not last as long. Don't get me wrong. I love Giorgio (I still wear it). But I when I buy a perfume I do not want it to be a replica of something I already have. Good thing I paid peanuts for it.

I just tried a white floral with mandarin, and I do not like citrus with white florals, somehow fruits and fragrances are just off-putting for me, at worst disgusting. So beware this one seems to be fruity, a fruity floral.

I am only interested in blind buying this because it reminds people of giorgio which smells so good to my nose! .hmm Im so curious in this one myself!
