The ozonic notes help make this an airy vanilla that reads as slightly fresh. It’s very cheerful, uplifting, charming, and whimsical! Overall, it’s a really gorgeous vanilla, and one of my top favorites! This is one of the most beautifully uplifting scents that I own (and I have a collection of a few hundred, so that’s saying something!)! It’s just such a cheerful and happy scent! It really does actually make me smile anytime I smell it! I absolutely adore it, and I can never get enough of it! It’s such an easy reach, and would really make a wonderful signature scent! It’s also one of my most complimented fragrances! I swear everyone really does seem to like this one! My post office lady even instantly loved it so much that she had me go back home right after I left to make her a decant! This feels quite feminine, and can easily suit women of all ages. I think it works best during the spring, summer, and early fall, but can definitely work year round also. I think it’s fitting for any occasion from casual even to fancy, and works for work/school too. I get excellent performance with Flora Gorgeous Orchid. The longevity is excellent, it lasts throughout the whole day without needing reapplication. The projection is strong, it radiates out several feet from me. It feels bright, happy, cheerful, and charming. It’s a fresh and airy vanilla, but it’s also sweet, and somehow even cozy. It’s delicate and powdery, but also has a kind of creaminess to it. It’s basic, linear, and rather simple, yet somehow unique. It’s like its uniqueness comes from its simplicity. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, and never cloying. If sunshine and happiness could be bottled, this is what it would smell like! I bought this as soon as it was available to pre-order from Gucci, and I was apparently one of the first people to try it. Oh my goodness it was so very beautiful to me! It’s been just over a year now, and I still love it just as much as I did from the very first sniff! This is easily the best of the whole Flora collection! This has actually ended up becoming one of my top favorite vanillas! I absolutely adore it! It’s one of the few fragrances that I keep a backup bottle of. It’s also one of my most complimented fragrances. Everyone just really seems to love this one! This is perfect as a fragrance to wear everyday, and would make a lovely signature scent. It wears beautifully throughout the entire year, and feels suitable for women of all ages. It’s a super easy reach that works for all occasions. The bottle is really beautiful, it gives the perfect vibe for the fragrance it holds. Also, the spray nozzle works wonderfully, it always sprays evenly and the perfect amount. This fragrance is one of my favourites. It is my signature. Perfect for winter or cooler weather but also all seasons of the year as it would make the perfect spring and summer vanilla as I would classify it as more of a floral vanilla, it is equal parts flowers and vanilla to my nose. It is very unique and one of a kind. It smells very comforting, feminine and sexy. It is a very sweet powdered musty smelling vanilla which I think is the blend of vanilla and those ozonic notes and gives me a strong scent of floral potpourri with dried roses ect which is a very unique scent that I’ve never smelled in perfumery and makes it very feminine and etherial. It is quite strong but at the same time, those ozonic notes and orchid also make it very airy and delicate. I also get a similar vanilla vibe in here to Burberry goddess but a little less sweet and more floral. I feel like I am laying in a meaddow of orchid flowers in the spring time with the sunshine beaming down. This fragrance would be perfect for picnics wearing a flowey spring dress, think a tumblr floral meadow mood board. It is also amazing in winter to give you a little spring cheer and that vanilla and powdery mustiness is very cosy on a cold day. I have never tried another fragrance with ozonic notes so I love that it has such an interesting note added into a vanilla blend. I am a beauty therapist and I am obsessed with the smell of the ozone setting on the facial steamer and hot towel cabby. It is used to kill bacteria and it really reminded me of that scent which is very relaxing to me like getting a nice relaxing facial and steam. It also gives it a humid, crisp, clean slightly metallic scent kind of like the atmosphere after a thunderstorm. Think of laying in that sunny floral vanilla orchid meadow as it is now about to storm and you smell the humid and crisp atmosphere around you and the smell of rain on its way. A lot of reviews say it doesn’t last long but on me it lasts all day and even into the next day sprayed only on skin, one of my longest lasting fragrances. -airy -floral -vanilla -heavenly -magical

So many strange perspectives of this below. This is not like Burberry goddess because it has no lavender, the similarity is vanilla. Many perfumes have vanilla that doesn’t mean they all smell the same. This is also no green. Maybe slightly because of the florals but it is sweet. There’s no banana note but the way vanilla is done here and in my opinion it’s the vanilla orchid note i believe is what creates this illusion of a banana ish scent. To me it reminds me of the little yellow banana runts candies. With that said i don’t feel this is juvenile like most candy style perfumes can be. I do find this to be a sort of casual elegant easy type of perfume. It’s definitely not like “ a generic every department store perfume”. That’s a very generalizing statement. The closest I’ve smelled of this is Lataffa Atheeri BUT it is not exact as that one has a bit more of a heaviness in the base/ dry down that this one doesn’t have and i believe it’s the amber wood note. Personally i really love this one and to me it does stand out in my collection of over 150 fragrances both designer and middle eastern and even some niche ones as well.

this was the first perfume i ever bought and what pulled me into this hobby. the bottles for the whole gucci flora line are so pretty and enticing that i test stripped every single one, but this is the one i chose. i have always been a bit put off by floral-forward scents, but this does not read that way to me at all. it is sweet and vanilla-leaning in a way that felt really unexpected, but completely up my alley. it comes across clean and bright, like a spring morning. i love applying this if i have to go anywhere early! instead of a cozy vanilla it's more energetic to me. i am honestly in love with it, and i know i might be a little biased since it was my first and the bottle is just so beautiful... i did not go into this expecting to start a perfume hobby, i was not even sure i would buy anything. but out of all the test strips, this was the one i put on my skin. by the next day i was back at the store buying the full bottle. it really felt meant to be.

I really, really love this. A sunny, bright and creamy vanilla. There is a crisp quality to this I can’t quite place. I sense a little musk? Regardless, it’s beautiful. I do not get any banana, instead, I get vanilla with some kind of yellow floral and a green note in the background I cannot identify. It’s my favorite from the Gucci Flora collection- though I think it’s better suited for spring/autumn, not summer. It can be a little too sweet, at least for hot and humid weather. I’ve never owned a full bottle from the Gucci Flora series, but this one might be my first. Absolutely lovely. Extremely long lasting (8+ hours on my skin) Silage is moderate to heavy- do be mindful when you spray. Edit: I understand why people might smell banana. There is a fruity, creamy quality to it- but I think it’s mostly a very sweet, musky vanillic floral.

I absolutely adore this scent, despite it being rather simple and linear it reminds me a lot of fresh mornings in spring. I personally get a bit of lemonade when I smell it on my skin but others have told me it smells very floral with an underlying tone of vanilla which becomes more prominent once it dries down throughout the day. I normally prefer gourmand scents, but this hits just the spot between gourmand and fresh for me and I've fallen in love. It's a great everyday scent for spring and summer (and warm fall days) that I think anyone regardless of age (or gender if you're a man who prefers florals) can wear. Longevity is surprisingly decent and the silage is good enough to not be overwhelming unless you drown yourself in it. If you like soft, feminine, floral, happy, sweet, fresh yet cozy scents then I recommend gorgeous Orchid!

Love it! Sweet fruity vanilla, cosy yet fresh. I could still smell it on my skin next day. I don't smell banana, more like a melon like scent. I used to have the Atheeri by Lattafa, that perfume caused me mayor headaches and nausea, despite me liking the scent, there was something off. Later I found out about the gucci one, and was expecting banana, but after smelling it, it immediately reminded me of the Lattafa one, so I was expecting the headache and nause to come, and it never did. This perfume is just perfect, some say it is not unique, however I find it very unique in it's own right amongst my 30ish perfumes. Maybe I am not a total connoisseur but to my nose Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid is delicious, clean, sweet and long lasting.

I came across this scent by total accident as a sales associate at Ulta recommended the Gucci flora line to me. The purple bottle smelt like candy and soap and the pink bottle smelt like musk and soap. But WOW I fell in LOVE with this one. I sprayed so many things on me but there was something catching my nose, and it was this!! Instead of sunscreen scents for the summer, THIS IS IT. Honestly to me it smells like a creamy but also powdery but also soapy/fresh lemon with vanilla in the background. I’m so shocked that there is no lemon in here, if I didn’t know any better I would say it’s the best lemon perfume in the market! I snatched up a travel size of it and it’s going to be my scent when I go to Spain in the summer. I love it.

I expected more, however later I realized & appreciate it as it is. When I looked into my collection I have lots of perfumes & of course vanilla too, I realized that all the vanilla I have is either very intense gourmand or one with spice. I don’t have a good everyday vanilla that isn’t offensive, nor too gourmand or spicy. I also realized majority if not almost all, are very cold weather coded. I realized, this with its simplicity, gave me a good no brainer, easy grab vanilla for spring & summer or any day really. I can layer it for more character, or use it with a body mist as a good simple but beautiful everyday vanilla! I got it 50ml for 53€ on flaconi Easter sale & im very happy & confident with my purchase.

When I spray Gucci Orchid, I kinda imagine fruits, such as bananas (maybe banana pie?) and passion fruit. I smell vanilla, as well. It is very sweet, may not be hot-weather-friendly, it is a bit heavy :) I just loved this perfume as soon as I smelled it! People smell it from me quite actively, it has a good projection. This scent gets me compliments even from people who do not like any fragrances :) Longevity is nice: my skin makes perfume evaporate fast, usually, but this one lingers to me for 5+ hours. Not a safe blind buy, seems a lot of people find this one too generic (I strongly disagree), but definitely worth to test it out! People around me and I all love this beautiful orchid.

I thought this was nice - albeit a little simple - at first. But that sentiment evolved with each sniff and it became a love within minutes. Really pretty. Delicate and feminine. Airy, bright, and creamy. Not too sweet. Enveloping. A perfectly balanced floral gourmand. The vanilla here reminds me of the vanilla in Black Opium Le Parfum. To my nose, this fragrance smells like Black Opium Le Parfum with its coffee taken out and the florals turned up. Fairly short-lived on my skin. Lasts much longer on clothing. Fortunately, I prefer the way it smells on fabric. It’s definitely something I wanted in my collection, but the bottle’s so unappealing to me that I opted for the travel spray.

on the initial spray the orchid notes are very prominent. it's a fresh white flowers vibe. not cloying at all and sits very close to the skin which i find a shame because this scent is so refreshingly floral, if the sillage was higher it wouldn't be imposing at all since it's a very lowkey (but unique) scent profile. i found that the dry down is even more gorgeous because the vanilla notes really start to shine, but again not in a way that is too much. beautiful scent and beautiful bottle. all the bottles from this range are gorgeous. definitely going on the wishlist. my only gripe is that i wish it projected further, but it could be a good layering perfume.

A Vanilla Sundae... whipped to perfection! Light, airy and happy! If loving Vanilla in a warm climate is a sin, this is the prefect remedy for making it a guilty pleasure that deserves its own scarlet letter! Additionally, while Flora Gorgeous Orchid is being compared to Burberry Goddess, the Orchid fragrance accomplishes what few fragrances out there have managed to do... lift the heavy weight off of Vanilla’s shoulder and turn it into an ozonic light weight love letter to the ingredient. In a world filled with heavy gourmand fragrances, take a leap of faith and rediscover a familiar note in a fresh light... Vanilla!

This is the best fragrance I have ever bought. If I were to restart my collection, it would just be multiples of this bottle. I would literally bathe in this. It is a nice blend of a floral and vanilla. The vanilla with the ozonic accord gives it a nice, whipped, wispy-sweet vibe, and the orchid adds a clean, crisp finish that brings a touch of elegance to the fragrance. It's like the essence of vanilla, not the smell of vanilla; like the vanilla is there, but you need to catch me, so you keep smelling it and get addicted to it.

Yes, this is a pretty simple fragrance, but the lightly floral ozonic notes make this a very clean and fresh vanilla which is pretty unique. This is sweet but has no cloyingness, and it's a safe vanilla for those who like fresh scents and a safe fresh scent for vanilla loyalists. If you’re looking for a typical warm, gourmand vanilla, this is not for you. If you love clean fragrances but want something a bit sweet and vanilla-centric, this is perfect, especially for warmer weather when sweet fragrances can become suffocating.

This scent reminds me of creamy vanilla, not too sweet, just perfectly balanced, mixed with soft floral notes. I can’t even imagine what real orchids are supposed to smell like because the potted ones never really smell like anything. But there’s something magical about this perfume that makes me think of beautiful orchid flowers... luxurious, feminine, and delicate. Someone said it smells like flowers after the rain, and honestly, I totally agree. This Flora feels like pure magic and I’m obsessed with it. 🩷

On me this perfume leans heaviest into the ozonic notes with some florals. If I try very hard I can maybeee detect the vanilla but it’s definitely not strong. On a friend of mine this went to straight vanilla-only on her skin, so it’s very dependent on individual chemistry. On me it smells very unique, like flowers after the rain with some floral sweetness. It’s my husband’s favorite on me. Sillage for me is moderate and longetivity was good, I could smell it on my skin the next day.

I have had this on my wishlist since last year and finally got it. I've been testing it for months through samples. It's worth it! Everybody thinks they smell bananas. Y'all this is the ozonic notes that give a (water)melon, 🍈 like a salty type of vanilla vibes. It's a salty, summery, beachy vanilla 🏖️ and I can for sure imagine that vanilla orchid note 🌺, but let's be honest: it's vanilla and sea breeze 🌬️. That's what we get! I think this is a beautiful, delicate feminine scent that is underrated for its quality and originality. Unlike most fragrances where vanilla is found in the base note, here the fragrance opens with it. No harsh or sharp “alcoholic” top notes, just this beautiful creamy floral vanilla. There is a banana note that emerges, which I find appealing. It’s a gourmand fragrance but mature and not too sweet. A truly gorgeous and addictive minimalist perfume.

i'm not a perfume connoisseur and i only sampled this because miley cyrus was promoting it but i was honestly taken aback by how good it smells. i'm a little shocked that people don't adore this perfume because it's one of the best smells i've ever smelled in my life lol. i bought a second hand bottle because it's very expensive but it's one of my favourite perfumes ever. my only critique besides the price is that the scent doesn't last all day.

It absolutely reads as banana, not full on banana pudding but a more green banana, sweetened by vanilla - banana has a slight floral smell (to me anyway) rather than all out fruity. I don't smell fruit, especially not banana. It's actually the best of the four Gucci Flora Gorgeous line, definitely. Though, I do want to own Magnolia as well. I mean, I have smelt a banana, this is not that. It's like a refreshing vanilla. It's like a vanilla sky, a fluffy refreshing scent cloud that swirls around you all day. It is long lasting. It is strong. But it isn't cloying or heavy. It's light and brisk and charming. Somehow the scent seems cool in my nose. Idk. I freaking love it. It's wonderful

I tried it at the store, but it smelled like banana cream. But I got a good deal, and my boyfriend said he liked it, so I bought it. When it came, I loved it right away. It smells so warm and unique. I love it, and I'll totally buy it again. It's more mango-y now instead of banana. I don't know; it's such a unique vanilla scent, and I love it.

Personally, I adore this perfume; the scent makes me feel like a nymph napping in the sun on a rock by the sea. It's simple yet lovely, soft, almost comforting in a way that only nostalgia for the sea can evoke. It smells like skin after you've just come out of the sea and dried in the sun. Longevity is pretty good too. That's a 9/10 for me.

The best perfume I’ve discovered in recent years!! It’s divine — I don’t get any banana note, and I also don’t find it gourmand (I usually don’t like gourmand). To me, it’s a sweet floral with vanilla, absolutely divine! Longevity is moderate, but it feels like a garden of orchids with vanilla. Perfect! A blind buy success.

Gorgeous is the name and gorgeous it is. This is an absolutely beautiful salty vanilla floral. It’s what I wanted Vanilla Salt from EB to smell like! The opening is a soft, vanilla sugared orchid petal floating on an ocean breeze. It dries down to an addictive sweet but fresh, light floral dream.

This is my favorite heavy-floral-vanilla perfume. It smells like a ripe mango at the first sniff, and it suddenly turns into an orchid, peony kind of flower on a vanilla base. The vanilla fragrance in this perfume is not exaggerated, but properly light and sweet, so you can use it in summer.

It’s an absolute love & I normally don’t gravitate towards aquatic scents. Uplifting, feminine, bright & overall a happy fragrance! I actually layer this with Killian - Princess and get a lot of compliments when I do! On their own they are perfect... But together... priceless! 👌🏽😍

I enjoyed this perfume. I agree that it's quite linear, you don't smell a complex pyramid; yet, it does its job with a honest longevity. Despite the salty and ozonic note of this vanilla, I find it very suitable for fall or winter either, more than warmer seasons.

If this didn’t come in a Gucci bottle, you could tell me this was a niche perfume. Reminds me of The Employees entry that says “The first scent to leave my memory was the smell of outside, weather, gravity ... the last smell to leave my senses was vanilla.”

I absolutely love this perfume. It smells like creamy mango to me. Nobody else describes it this way so I'm not sure what is up with my nose but I love the way it smells. It is a perfect summer scent. Sweet, but to too sweet, and fresh in a fun, flirty way.

Was gifted this for my birthday and I love it for summer. Fresh and ozonic vanilla. Though I have tried and bought many vanilla forward fragrances I think this doesn't smell like any of the others in my wardrobe so it's definitely got a place.

this is so lovely! smells just like when you’re in a garden on a warmer day in spring and you just manage to catch the smell of flowers on the crisp breeze. the vanilla is beautiful too, very light and delicate, never overwhelming. love it :)

I love, love, love this! The vanilla is soft and inviting, and dries down into a beautiful floral orchid. Lasts a pretty long time but I wouldn’t call it a beast mode fragrance. Definitely worth picking up if you like floral vanillas.

My my, there is finally a Gucci flora I absolutely adore! Surely there must be ylang ylang in this fragrance, or some other yellow floral together with that lovely vanilla. Absolutely lovely! And that's all I have to say.

Ok. Hear me out. The more I wear this the more it reminds me of Coty Vannila Musk. Remove the Banana accord and boom it’s CVM almost (to my nose) 95% similar. I top off mid day with CVM and get compliments every time.

To experience this girl at her best, try wearing her during a late summer, early fall balmy day. She favors this warmer weather at the end of summer. Any other time she’s off putting and kind of sickening.
