🛑GUIDE REVIEW🛑 🛑EVERYTHING ABT BAMBOO THAT U NEED TO KNOW 🛑 I do like this scent a looottt but there is a lot of misunderstoods about it let me discuss everything to u guys 212 NYC is my signature scent and i do own also the 212 se6y so im pretty sure i know exactly everything about 212 NYC Gucci bamboo edp doesn’t smell similar to 212 nyc but the bamboo edt one does 212 NYC has a super peppery spicy lily note that I don’t get here but i do in the edt one Dont get me wrong its spicy but more like a creamy waxy baiser volé cartier type of lily In the edt i get jasmine and musk really noticeable and it makes it really close to 212 NYC In the other side the edp bamboo has a creamer less spicy lily than the edt did u get it guys ? I like the bergamot it does uplift the fragrance so much in the heart cus it stays citrusy until the base comes through and the fragrance turns to creamy lily+ylang and sandalwood with no citruses which i think makes this fragrance soo tricky cus u may like the first hour but after that u’ll be lift with a different scent that u may don’t appreciate just like i did It does smell fantastic in the first minutes when the bergamot turns a bit more subtle It doesn’t smell close to any chance chanel flanker and doesn’t smell similar to Romance RL I sprayed it on a scent strip from yesterday and now im smelling it i do kinda get the similarity between bamboo edp and 212 NYC but absolutely not as much im pretty sure the edt smells way closer but still gorgeous mix of xreamy waxy lily (baiser volé) and peppery lily ( 212 NYC ) Its a really unique scent u need to be a patient floral lover to appreciate this scent It lasts pretty long i do 8 sprays on clothes and it lasts all day and projects perfectly the first 2 hours But can’t deny it’s a light airy scent if someone is wearing a stronger fragrance than yours and u both were in the same room no one will smell u unless u hug them {My updated review} Hands down to my favorite Gucci fragrance 👏🏻 I FREAKING LOVE the lily note here its ssoooooo good I usually dislike most of the lily scents cus im REALLY picky when it comes to lily lily can smell either like the best florals ever or dusty pollen mess For example I severely dislike the lily in scents such as PLEASURES INTENSE ESTÉE LAUDER Or even TRUTH CALVIN KLEIN So much pollen and wax and muffled and suffocating But gosh i love it so much here and in 212 NYC by CH Its so airy floraly fresh a bit creamy and a bit like jasmine No wax or pollen or green here And heck that bergamot was SPOT ON Without the bergamot the scent may turn a bit heavy The bergamot shuts the hell down any waxiness may come from the lily And the ylang is just like a cherry on top Even the ylang here is soo soothing and balanced In terms of smell i prefer the EDT but i ain’t gonna sacrifice the projection for the sake of smell this does smell amazing either I don’t mind the moderate projection it last a good 5 hours on me i like it A HUGGGEEEE LOOOVVVEEEEEE I’ll update if i knew anything more about this scent I appreciate ur time 🤍🤍

This one I love her!! i have repurchased already on my third bottle but not because this is my favorite fragrance , it is simply because it is SO wearable I have to deal with a hot and humid city everyday getting to work so this gucci bamboo is working overtime to uplift my spirits while I'm tortured by my environment . it's so inoffensive and pretty for work , coworkers who openly gag and rebuke perfumes have complimented this , the freshness cannot be denied , also the overall projection is low BUT i have found it totally depends on where i am and the temperature , when i am outdoors she is very quiet , but once i step into my AC frozen office building , on the elevator etc she comes out again , this is not the type of summer fragrance to wear to the beach or while doing any exerting things , this is meant to be experienced by people you briskly walk past in the boardroom or while at the mall. It doesn't mix with sweat well , it just fades away. Overall the sillage and longevity leaves much to be desired but the bottle isn't too pricey so i think it's manageable with resprays. The bergamot is the perfect note of freshness to start with it's kind of reminiscent of the kind of jasmine-lemon barbershop aftershave your arab dad would come home smelling like, the ylang-ylang which comes after is truly the star here tho , it's light but creamy like that half sip of foam at the top of a non alcoholic Pina colada and reminds me of an expensive shampoo . Unfortunately I don't know how to recognise lilly in this , in other perfumes i feel lily gives a slight floral funky smell, which i could not find (and did not miss! ) in gucci bamboo. The fragrance overall feels like soft curves , theres no sharpness but a satisfying citrus floral white musc balance . This is a woman who smart and put together , unpretentious . She's got her journal and calendar neatly filled in and well balanced. Feminine but not really girly, i think this would also be great for those who are into wearing mens freshies and cologne type scents but want to try something more fem. It's not too complex a scent , it's well balanced and does it's job nicely . It's something that would fit right in a capsule wardrobe, it's a staple basic freshie 👍

It did not charm after release I thought it something lightweight without much character but I received it as a gift and decided to try it in summer. And it seems a perfect setting for it. It is gentle but with clear character and very present without being strong or overwhelming. Perfect for applying it in the early morning before going to the office. It opens refreshingly with zesty bergamot tones that together with lily give a watery bamboo impression. It is floral at heart, the lilies are gentle and only their best part, ylang mellows the flowers a bit. It is still a bit heady thanks to lilies but in a sensual, clean way. It is elegant. Professional. For a lady that does not like nonsense yet won't stand loud scent for her days and still has her feminity intact and wants to enhance it. It feels a bit aquatic. Now that I wear it - it feels better on than Gucci's Bloom and Gorgeous Flowers series. Better than many offerings. Better than Acqua di Gioia. It might have competed with it. Brings to mind elegance of Fan di Fendi and delicacy of Premiere by Gucci which is also a perfect everyday scent for the office. The romantic floral part reminds me a bit of Yohji by Yohji Yamamoto. His flowers also work so subtly but delectably in summer. But it is also a perfect signature for a romantic, gentle and feminine soul. It feels fresh on, leaving a gorgeous floral trail. Romantic evening? Perfect for it. Now that I have a bottle I am impressed. There is a need for such scents. Waking us up, dressing in flowers, caressing with base. Calling it a masterpiece is not an overstatement. It is quite dreamy. If I was to wear it daily, I would be happy. It is this close to a perfect floral. Oh, it reminds me also of Boss Femme, too. But better. It becomes skin scent after 6 hours but I catch wafts of it after 9 hours. And I feel it in the morning still, floral with buttery sandalwood.

I wore this to someone's wedding once. At our bengali weddings, we hug it out a lot because we meet people in the community that we haven't seen for ages etc. So I kept smelling this beautiful clean woody smell, wafting about here and there, to the point I kept asking everyone what they were wearing and trying to sniff them again (much to the discomfort of others 😂). Anyhoo, I knew i just HAD to have that smell. That perfume. Whatever it was. Throughout the 5 hour wedding I kept getting wafts. It was only until after I came home and was getting changed, I got the wafting of this gorgeous woody spicy, clean sandalwood smell again. The same smell i couldn't detect where it was coming from throughout the whole wedding. It was ME all along. I just fell in love with it after that and was soOo happy that it was me and I had a bottle of it sitting safely at home. It was a gift in case you're wondering why I hadn't discovered what it actually smelt like. I hadn't tried it properly, all I knew was that it was a safe inoffensive scent at first whiff. And i hadnt really worn it anywhere. So.... LOVE THIS. Pesca by Reef smells a lot like this but without the strong ylang ylang note (which a lot of people dislike, but i dont mind it because the dry down is soOo worth waiting for!) And I have a 200 ml bottle of the Pesca Reef, so I am a happy bunny.🐰

This is a very pretty perfume. Its not sexy, its pretty. It isn't complex or groundbreaking. However, its very feminine and clean. Not soapy, but rather perfumy. Office appropriate. I wouldn't say CEO, rather accounting supervisor. I was horrified in reading the reviews that it smelled like cat urine, as not to say the vulgar word used. Good grief, that's a little extreme. That must have been some bad bottles that somehow turned idk. However, my experience is that its a fantastic little fragrance. I'm incredibly picky. I don't like too floral, or powdery, and this is a fresh bouquet of fresh white flowers with Lily being the star, but not in a bad way. Believe me I easily get nauseous, and this didn't induce a headache. The opening is my favorite, its a crispy bamboo illusion like, but beautiful Bergamot with department store perfume. I like it. Its a safe buy, I think. Buy a sample if you're iffy. All I can say is that the reviews scared me, but I'm glad I bought it because its a very pretty one if you want a quick clean, perfumy scent to run errands. It lasts a good 8+ hours. I sprayed it this morning, I've showered, am ready for bed and I still smell it a bit. Hope this helps ツ Oh, I read someone say it smelled like toilet. This one is seriously underrated. Almost no one seems to know about this gem. The bottle is beautiful, the scent is the best "clean girl" perfume. Many won't even notice it's an actual perfume, it's discreet in a good way. Suitable for work or situations where you can't wear a really strong perfume. It's completely inoffensive and is never inappropriate. It doesn't matter if you bathe in this, it will never be overpowering. Ever. I feel so clean and super calm and put together when I'm using this. A lot of times I spray this on me and my pillows before I go to bed, it's just relaxing and peaceful. I just purchased my fourth bottle, used up three 75 ml during this year. I don't even like freashies usually, but this one hit home. This is not too citrusy and soapy, it's just beautifully floral. I absolutely love the lily and ylang ylang in this. The absolutely only con to this is that it's very expensive. I mean, I'd get it if it was a powerful scent, but this is a light fresh scent. This price point is close to many different niche brands, which doesn't make any sense to me. I never buy this full price, I get it from like Ebay or something like that for significantly cheaper. I do make sure it's legit of course. But I do think this is such a gem and will keep repurchase this over and over. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Honestly, I don’t get why so many people dislike it so much. It smells great, really fresh, mature without being a “grandma smell”, and it’s almost like a "your skin but better" type of fragrance. When you spray it initially, it can be a little strong, but then it settles on your skin, and it’s not suffocating after that. It does last a lot of time in my clothes and skin, but it’s not really a strong smell, you’d have to actually sniff me to get a whiff of the perfume (that is, unless I wear a lot) I mostly get the lilies and sandalwood notes from the perfume, and I really like that. It’s really refreshing, and just what I was looking for. A lot of people mention that it’s “too basic”, but in my case, it actually stands out from what my friends tend to wear (they usually gravitate towards more “sweet” fragrances, and they use a lot of rose scented stuff too). It might be because of my age group, but it really does stand out. I’ve actually gotten a bunch of compliments on it, including today. I was in class, and I had just sprayed some of this on after lunch break, and my friend (who was standing next to me) asked if someone had just sprayed perfume because it smelled nice. When I mentioned it was me, she said it was a really good smelling perfume lol

EXOTIC & SPICY Pacific Garden. Opens with multi-faceted bergamot that has citrus, fruity, fresh, aquatic & sweet nuances. The opening transitions to a floral heart of lily and ylang that has plush, succulent, violet, peppery and sour aspects, resting on a vanillic amber-woody base. On the skin, I get faint pencil shaving touches, and the woody notes lean to incense-y wooden church pews. Moderate performance with a small scent bubble for a light, summer wearing experience. Contrast to Un Air de Samsara Guerlain: These have very different note structures, but the ylang-sandalwood combo has reminders of the Samsara range, in it's lighter, fresh approach. Un Air de Samsara has green touches and outperforms Gucci Bamboo, although GB will be easier to wear for some, and is more universally appealing. Contrast to Sira des Indes Jean Patou: These are different, but there are some similarities with spicy-sour white & yellow florals. Sira des Indes has more animalic touches and ouperforms GB, although GB will be easier to wear for most noses. Overall: Beautiful summer spicy scent profile, with moderate performance, this is the perfect scent to wear for adding some spice to your summer. I'm a longtime fan of the Samsara range, so t's a love for me. Enjoy!

Bamboo makes me think of strong women, like someone rich, or my mother when she was in her early 30s and I was a child. Or, the ideal girl whom I'd like to date. She'd be sweet, calm, adventurous, sexy, mature and powerful. There's mystery, fire and life in her eyes. I wouldn't be able to stop myself from constantly burrowing my nose into her neck and sniffing her. Just sitting next to her would feel like an honor. How does Bamboo smell like, then? It smells fresh, airy and dry. The fresh and airy quality comes from the bergamot and the white florals. The dry element comes from the sandalwood and amber in the dry-down. The femininity lies within the blend of these, as well as with the rest of the notes (vanilla, ylang-ylang). I agree with other reviewers that the smell can be associated with catalogue perfume or face products. This isn't a bad thing, nor is it the first thing you think upon smelling it. The average person would think of neither. Rather, there's something just so hypnotic about the smell... Oh-so-hypnotic. Gorgeous. Warm. Light. Rich. Inoffensive. Head turner. Immersive. Addictive. Clean. Creamy. Woodsy. Floral. The perfect woman. What more could you want for yourself, or your partner?

I accidentally bought a 75 ml bottle of the EDT first, and I finished it at a record speed (a couple of weeks!!) because it was so weak. I did really enjoy the scent though, so I purchased the EDP version this time around. They are very similar, but the EDP is deeper, has a creamy softness to it and has better projection and longevity than the EDT. The EDT is greener, fresher and more sparkling, but the longevity is crap unfortunately. I do like the EDP a lot, it's really good for daytime wear at work or in the heat when you don't want a lot of perfume. It's really nice and fresh, makes you feel uplifted for sure. It's really floral, and has a warmth to it as well. The bottle is beautiful, really minimalistic and classy looking with the heavy glass and the metal bamboo cap. Looks good on the vanity table. The only thing is that this perfume really is pretty expensive for what it is. I don't imagine me buying this full price, I bought this second hand at a very good price. I don't think it's worth that much money, so if you can get it with a discount or on ebay or something, that is definitely preferred.

Versatile and unique (yes really) beauty! My second review for this, that’s how much I love it! Still love it years later. So underrated. She gets called generic but at the same time there is noting actually similar in the ‘reminds me of’ section apart from the other iterations. This is like an updated Pure Poison with added Ylang and vanilla. The scents aren’t similar apart from the white floral-citrus-musk aspects but the effect is similar. It will envelop you in a soft scent-bubble of attractive feminine goodness. People (especially men!) will think you smell so good, and wonder if it’s your shampoo or laundry detergent. Lasts the entire day with perceptible sillage. This would make a great gift, layers well with any vanilla, great pick for both dates and work, and is suitable for most weather conditions. Very versatile. Get the EDP, the EDT is just a weak impression lacking depth and creaminess. There are rumors of this getting discontinued but the big retailers still carry it. I got backups but I hope they won’t actually discontinue it.

If your skin chemistry’s right for this perfume, then it’s nothing short of stunning. She comes off as basic but don’t be fooled. There’s more to her and you will catch delicate wafts and glimpses of her fragrant layers throughout the day. Everything comes together beautifully in a non-offensive, clean floral & ever so slightly powdery scent. A versatile fragrance with deceptively impressive longevity. Have had this for what feels like forever in my collection and it’s still one of my faves in spring/summer. A dumb reach for when I want something clean, feminine, put together, with an air of ethereal mystery. There’s an irresistibly clean, sea salt come laundry powder note which adds something unique to the white florals & ylang ylang. The sandalwood, vanilla and amber in the drydown does well not to overpower or compromise the freshness of the composition. I think Gucci Bamboo is a bit like Marmite for some, it’s either loved or hated. But I’ll always have space for her in my collection. A timeless beauty 🌼

I got this from a lady online with a bunch of other perfume as I collect hundreds of perfumes. Immediately it took me back to early 2000s. Then I remembered exactly Michael Kors Very Hollywood. I still have the bottle I bought before I went to Disneyland in 2011. It reminds me of summertime California warm skin, it has a rich vibe to it; an older classy woman would wear it. I am now that older woman LOL I always felt it was a little old for me before, it's a gorgeous scent. These almost smell identical, they have that fun summery vibe. I could see how it could smell like pee although I don't think it does. My nose is extremely sensitive to anything peewee lol I pick up the slightest scent that others never smell around me of anything. I'm glad I bought it it's a very rich wonderful classy expensive smelling smell and now I know I have a dupe for my Very Hollywood.🌴💋🕶️

(29 F. Combination skin, leaning toward oily). I have been sampling some fragrances for the summer, including Gucci Bamboo EDP. I was pleasantly surprised by how this turned out. Opening notes are definitely citrus, but dries down to a white-flower (as many have pointed out). Not a fan of citrus scents in general, but love bergamot, so it hasn't bothered me that much. I can pick up on the sandalwood, and a little of the ylang ylang, lily and orange blossom. I agree with FiligreeAngel that it is on the weak side (longevity, and silage-wise), but that makes it perfect for the summer. And, for someone whose skin is prone to projecting perfumes quite strongly, this is a bonus. Plus, it is one of those linear scents that can be layered, and I have been doing just that!

Just pulled this beauty from storage in time for the spring/ summer wardrobe switch. (Clothes, shoes, frags.) I’m purging a bit too, I’m an admitted over-consumer ... ANYWAY! This baby is spring in a bottle. It’s a florally, floral, white flower. I usually like my white flowers creamy or fruity, but this straight up lily for me, but it’s powdery in the dry down, which I love! This has to be one of the least talked about Gucci fragrances, I just happen to come across on clearance on one of the fragrance sites years ago, but it’s my absolute favorite of the house. Until the recent Gucci floral vanilla orchid, it was my only Gucci fragrance ever.

The first couple seconds after the initial spray were mildly unpleasant to my nose but it goes away fast. Then it’s a bright, tart, clean, yellow & white floral. I would have rated it as a nice fragrance but after a little while on the drydown it becomes a more powdery woody floral. I can’t help but think how much it reminds me of Tuscany per Donna from the 90’s (not the newer reformulated version) which is one of my top 5 all time favorites. After reviewing the two fragrance profiles I see there are many shared notes with Tuscany, actually, in fact every note listed in Bamboo is found in Tuscany except the lily. No wonder I love this!

I would describe this scent as elegant and crowd-pleasing. The bergamot lends a sparkling opening that acts as a bright counterpoint to the white flowers. For me, the lily takes a backseat to the ylang-ylang, but I know many people find the lily overpowering and unpleasant. It lasts up to 8 hours on my skin and dries down sweet and woody, owing to the vanilla and sandalwood in the base. Though the citrus-white floral scent has been done to death, I still really enjoy Bamboo for its simplicity and freshness. Is it a little bit boring? Maybe. Does it smell like a classy, rich woman on her way to amaze her company's shareholders? Yes.

It's such a beautiful fragrance. Bamboo EDP is one of the newer additions to my fragrance wardrobe and I am already halfway through the full-size bottle. Having in mind that I own quite a few fragrances, it's actually impressive. i just love it oh so much. It's perfect for the office or for hot summer days when one absolutely doesn't want anything even remotely sweet, but doesn't want to smell like one just took a shower or washed clothes. It's for those times when one wants to smell effortlessly sophisticated. It's a citrusy fragrance with a slightly leathery undertone, which makes it smell so incredibly refined-sexy.

Bamboo is a beautiful floral perfume with depth and character. It's not your generic floral. It's versatility makes it appropriate for work and for play. I believe you should wear what you love, no matter the season or time of day. Bamboo is a proven compliment getter, if that's important to you. It's certainly inoffensive, making it perfect for work as well as for play. I prefer niche fragrances, however, Bamboo has a niche quality. It's a safe blind buy in my opinion, as well as an excellent value for what you're getting. Longevity = 6-8h Sillage = moderate Definitely leans feminine

To me it evokes a lemon tart that is not too sweet decorated with som flower petals ! Not exactly edible but... It is creamy (almost buttery), slightly woody (not sharp), with a lot of bergamot balanced with a hint of sweetness. Super smooth blend, it's serious but cozy at the same time. Great for work or even a signature scent. It gives off this put together elegant lady. Perfect for fall IMO, wearable during winter and cool spring days, NOT IN THE SUMMER cause the heat makes in screechy, especially on skin. One of my all time favorites.

I bought it like weeks ago. At first,I regretted for buying this instead of gucci bloom. It took me a bit of works to get used to this smell. Surprisingly,I got compliments from my brother who never ever complimented about my other perfumes. I applied it in my room before i went out and left my room with air conditioner on. When i got back, my room smelled like the whole wood forest with floral scents. That’s when I fell in love with this perfume. Personally, I would recommend this to ladies who like fresh and airy scents.

I can’t remember if I’ve ever reviewed this. I’ve owned it for 5 or 6 years. Started with the EdT and now I just bought a larger bottle of the EdP for Christmas. Gucci Bamboo is an underrated beauty for sure. Out of all my perfumes, this one would be the “everyday classic” for me. It can be worn in any situation. It’s a beautiful, clean, fresh, citrusy but also floral fragrance. I feel like any age could get away with wearing this also as the citrus isn’t “too” tart and the florals arnt powdery. Definitely give it a try!

Bought this at the airport just because it was there, thinking I needed something fresh clean and light. And I’m so happy I did, because it’s all of these things. First spray when I opened the bottle was VERY citrusy and unpleasant. But after one day it changed and is round and softer. It’s a little nostalgic and yes, someone said it’s 2000 kind of scent and I agree. I enjoy it now that’s spring is coming. Not too strong, but I can smell myself for few hours after spraying. I like it a lot.

Is the name Bamboo misleading? Yes. Is it ground-breaking? No. Is it generic? Yeah, a little bit. But I can't stop smelling my wrist.... It's clean and fresh, I just wished it wasn't a skin scent. With the price tag it's not easy to overspray this one. The one thing I love the most is that the drydown is the same as the opening. (I hate perfumes that change to completely different scents after an hour or so). I would say this is a safe blind buy, and can be worn at any occation :)

A grown-up elegant perfume, perfect for spring and summer! A very "easy grab" kind of scent. The lily and ylang together creates a beautiful "tropical" smell. I imagine this would layer very nicely with a coconut scent or body butter! It can seem a bit heavy in the initial spray, but after 10-15 minutes it's beautiful. It's actually quite light. The only downside with this, is that it disappears rather quickly... I will buy a small atomizer to bring this in my purse to reapply.

I self consciously love this. I was so surprised to read from other's that this has a pee note. I don't pick this up on me at all, but I'm not sure if others do 😔 My bottle is older, from 2016. I thought it was so unique at that time when everything was either fruitchouli or floral and fruity. To me, this smells quiet and melancholy. Kind of sad and dark, but clean and soft. Maybe it is the lily making me feel this way. This lasts all day on me with softer sillage.

This is everything I've been looking for in a perfume. In this heat (South of the Equator), it is uplifting, refreshing, feminine, soft. I'd wish for a tiny bit more projection and silage, but that would perhaps go against the whole point of this fragrance. It's a little demure, elegant without trying too hard. A gentle gem. It's definitely something I don't see myself getting tired of so easily in Summer, which is the case for most of the scents I think I love.

This is such an elegant fragrance. It’s a lovely, creamy floral that remains soft, clean, and sophisticated. I think so many floral perfumes smell inauthentic and synthetic, (“too perfumey”, if you will) but not Gucci Bamboo. I do agree with other reviewers that calling this perfume “Bamboo” is confusing due to its lack of green notes, however this house really knows how to do florals well and I just love this so much.

I really liked this one, to be honest. Just after spraying you can really feel the citrusy notes and it dries down into a more of a calm and gentle, flowery-amber scent. Even though I really liked it, I'm quite disappointed by the longevity and sillage. After approximately 30 minutes to an hour of applying it, you can only smell it when you bury your nose into the place you sprayed it on. 💔

This is a love for me! I have always loved Gucci perfumes. I’ve owned, Guilty, Rush, and Bloom. I just got Bamboo, which I’ve always been so curious about. It’s a really clean, soapy, musky scent. So in love! I can’t believe the negative reviews about longevity, as this has lasted on me. I definitely believe that scents like this have to work with your chemistry. This is beautiful. ❤️

I used to hate this fragrance, I judged this fragrance because of the opening notes said that it smell like detergent, until this lately I discovered Gucci Bamboo has the nicest drydown, it's like an elegant creamy powdery smell, and the lasting power is so good, great smell that I finally bought one (I keep it for my wife birthday).

A beautiful clean, fresh floral fragrance with impressive lasting power / sillage (on my skin!). I really enjoy this for low effort days. It should be noted that I’m not a huge floral fan in general, but the sandalwood and ylang ylang make this a creamy floral which goes well with the freshness of the citrus. A favourite!

lovely everyday fragrance. smells remarkably similar to chanel chance eau fraiche... but with a delayed warmth that chance eau fraiche lacks. gorgeous in summer. like a silk headscarf in an open topped car on a sunny day. nostalgic, gorgeous. more to this fragrance than the first impression reveals.

this has a particular nostalgic early 2000s smell to me, i remember the department stores and avon page samples smelt like this. playing with a friends mum’s makeup counter smelt like this. and it’s so gorgeous. it’s clean, barbie, celebrity like. doesn’t quite fit the name bamboo, but i love it.

This gorgeous lily scent has this refinement to it that I have not been able to find anywhere else! The citrus balances out the white florals to keep it light while still keeping it grounded in the sandalwood. This scent was made for expensive brunches, cocktail parties, and late night emails.

Gentle sweet lily, not the heavy headache inducing one. To me it smells like a lily surrounded by greenery in a pond, aquatic lily. May be the name ” bamboo” is creating an image of a water lily in my mind, may be it is what is intended. Sophisticated white haze, very fresh and cooling.

Got pressured into buying this in harrods, but I’m so glad I did! It’s beautiful. It’s definitely one I save for special occasions. Received so many compliments on it whenever I’ve worn it, it’s fresh, floral, flattering and just smells “clean”. Definitely a good buy!

I gave this a second chance and it’s really good! To me it’s a green lily, not an intense lily. The dry down is creamy vanilla/sandalwood. I think this fragrance is pretty and versatile. I will wear this quite a bit. It is floral but a bit modern.

i dont know why peoplw dont like this.. The only word i can describe this is beautifull. Its not too sweet, it smells good, clean, confident. Its beautifull and inoffensive. i love spraying it on my clothes it smells really good and lasts so long

I was complimented that this scent makes me attractive, professional, feminine but also playful. It is exactly what I love. A hidden gem. Not too distinct, but overall very pleasant. It is my go to and hope it never gets discontinued.

This is so lovely, it reminds me of back in the day when i used to wear very irresistible by Givenchy or chance by Chanel. Utterly beautiful. I can smell the citrus but it's not sharp, it blends with the florals beautifully.

I smell absolutely NO pee note. I really tried to find it but i dont. I just smell lovely refreshing flowers and bergamot. Warm, soothing and increadibly beautiful. Im in love with this.

I love this EDP. If the longevity was better, it'd be a definite candidate to be a signature scent for me. I can't decide on a signature scent anymore. There are so many to love.

I bought this 10 years ago for my wife and she's just come around to it as her bedtime fragrance. It smells really 'pretty', very floral and a little sultry. I love it on her.

To me, this is a beautiful summer fragrance. It's not complicated. It's safe, summer simplicity. Great choice for your beach, lake or any other summer holiday.

Sweet yellow floral with a bit of a citrusy kick to it. I really enjoy it. It’s very wearable. Definitely a great pick for an everyday fragrance.

I love it, it’s refreshing and agrees with my skin chemistry. It’s citrusy and I definitely get the vanilla.

Update (4.17.2024): My original review was a first impression of a blind-buy, so now that I got to know this fragrance a little better I wanted to give an update. First, I changed my vote from "ok" to "like". I wasn't impressed at first but since wearing it more I have more respect for the quality of the product. This juice needs the warmth of skin to really perform at it's best. Also, it beautifully develops from a floral opening to a deep and creamy sandalwood dry-down with powdery, warm and sweet nuances. In other words, this fragrance is a lot more complex than it may seem at first. More recent releases aren't really doing that these days so I appreciate that. And the longevity on the skin is out of the this world (over 24 hours!). But it's still a little out of date without being completely old fashioned so my only challenge is wearing it often because it's not suitable for my lifestyle. But if you have more sophistication to your day-to-day lifestyle and want a scent that many people aren't wearing (I'm looking at you Coco Mademoiselle) then this might be for you. I purchased this fragrance today for a discount at a rack store and here are my first impressions: Firstly, this is a blind-buy purchase, however I have tested the edt version and I liked that one so I decided to get the edp thinking it wouldn't be that much of a difference. Well, I was wrong and the two are very different and Gucci Bamboo edp was not what I was expecting. I was expecting a fresh and modern floral scent with some aquatic nuances and maybe some greenness and woodiness (hence the name bamboo). Instead, I got a very classic floral scent with some woody undertones and a little bit of brightness up top with a bit of fresh spicy in the base. And it smells retro but with a modern twist but still classic. I like those types of scents because I find them elegant but I was thrown off by the packaging and appearance of the bottle it just gave a modern vibe. So, if you do not like straight up floral scents or old school fragrances or spicy scents this may not be for you. It's also a bit mature leaning and a little more business and elegant than young and playful. So, this one may not be for everyone but I'm happy to have it, although I think I could've lived without. I prefer the edt but this one is ok.
