Gucci Bloom

Oh my... Gucci Bloom smells flawless. Timeless, beautiful floral. So what if there are similar floral perfumes in the market...look at all the sweet gourmands and their endless cheap clones. This on the other hand is a high quality very intense white floral. It's such a balanced blend of tuberose, jasmine and honeysuckle, all united into one scent but at the same time you can definitely identify all of them separately. High pitched jasmine and the orris root adds a dusty powdered vintage feel. Bubblegum vibes, plummy, grapey and honeyed floral. With a green kick. To some it will seem linear and lacking notes, but really on skin it has enough facets so it doesn't end up boring and at the same time it is very happy to layer with other perfumes, trust me. Smells polished, groomed and powdered too. Not old-lady and neither teenybopper; this is the perfume for a young woman who wants to smell beautifully and stand out. Gucci Bloom is not overpowering but at the same time it does not go unnoticed either. Gucci Bloom and Twilly Hermes really stand out as new releases of 2017. Don't bother with the so called four-centric-white floral-young Gabrielle myth that Chanel is promoting, it's brainwashing: all they have done is a plain citrus floral shampoo juice and a huuuuuge advertising-mega-story-campaign to back it up. If you want the straight up white floral of the 2017 it's Bloom. If you want the youthfulness with a spice of 2017 that's Twilly. Truly an unexpected release. But we are so so happy with it. Well done Gucci, keep it up like that!!!

When I first sprayed this, I instantly thought of Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder. (My Beloved, my Beyond Paradise, has been discontinued. Estee Lauder's loss, how they can discontinue a unique masterpiece like BP and keep some Raid-smelling thrift-shop old-lady reject like "Private Collection" is beyond me. But hey, Estee Lauder, get mad at your income. Gucci's got us.) For those who complain about it smelling like early 2000's, you're right, but that doesn't mean its bad. Or exactly the same... because it's not. So, yes, Gucci Bloom does have elements of other scents from that period, as every art form has an era, music, painting, writing. Perfume should be no different. Gucci Bloom smells like the beauty of impressionistic paintings, with soft notes of Renoir's warmth when he painted women he adored. Mixed in are the gardens of Monet's Giverny, with each flower being evident. I can see the women of any age who would wear this, I am one. There's nothing wrong with having taste for something beautiful. It is distinctively feminine and although I don't know all the notes, there's a sweetness that's balanced by something tart, with smooth undertones that pull the flower compositions together in a soft glow. There's also something fresh, so the sweetness is lifted like a cool breeze in a hot room, so it doesn't provoke one of my mind numbing migraines. I have been looking for a new scent, since my signature Estee Lauder's Beyond Paradise was discontinued, and I found it. Thanks, Gucci :) See ya, Estée!

The most beautiful tuberose and jasmine perfume. When I first smelled this, I was transported to my younger years, spending my weekends at the Hindu temple and going to South Asian weddings. It smells of poojas and flower garlands, but also a dewy, British summer garden; so fresh yet heady, and photorealistic. The perfume equivalent of pinning a fresh garland of jasmine and tuberose to your hair. This sweet white floral echoes my dual heritage beautifully; perfect for summer days spent in breezy cotton dresses, in the British countryside; but also equally as perfect for when I'm draped in exquisite silk sarees. The perfume itself is quite linear, almost a soliflore. The tuberose is creamy without being heavy and the jasmine is intertwined perfectly with it, without being too loud or sharp like Mugler's Alien. It's sweet but in a green, floral way, without any gourmand or fruity notes to make it cloying. I think it's perfect for layering with other perfumes, to accentuate their white floral notes. I adore Givenchy's L'Interdit in winter and this feels like it's summery sister.

I buy a perfume for myself every year for Christmas and I got this one this year along with a less expensive one. I got the largest bottle. I having multiple samples of this and even a travel size, I have to say this in an elevated floral. I'd expect nothing less from Gucci. My signature scent for many years was the original Gucci Guilty and why this is not like that at all it has the same elevation of class and sophistication while being very feminine and soft. I'm a strong goth girlie, heavy on the girlie that lives in the south and I like a statement. I'm a lover of all the Aliens and Angels. This to me is just so beautiful and accessible. Highly recommend trying it. I wrote an earlier review that it's like sticking your head in a bouquet of flowers and yet it also is just so smooth and powerful but not so overpowering or sickly. Adore. Last year my signature scent or I guess the last few years was Utopia by KayAli and this has a similar vibe while being very different still in it's on class and bold. Looking forward to wearing this most days.

Ive just bought a huge bottle of this because its beautiful and smells wonderful on my skin. To my nose this is as good a perfume as a Dyptique and although the reviewers say its smells similar to Do Son, I think it has a vibe similar to Olene. This perfume is like an explosion of flowers on a summers day. The tuberose is perfect without being sickly or overly sweet and I smell beautiful jasmine alongside gardenia and an array of white florals. I find it strange that Gucci decided to release this perfume just before Christmas because it is summer in a bottle, but as soon as spring arrives again, this little beauty will come into its own. To sum it up, it is floral without the sweetness and fresh with a hint of green. The silage is decent and the longevity is that of any top niche perfume. This lasts all day on my skin and gets me many complements. Gucci Bloom is a floral lovers paradise and I applaud Gucci for creating this fragrance, which was so badly needed after many very ordinary and boring Gucci creations.

This is one of the most magical floral perfumes I've ever encountered. The first time I smelled it, I instantly thought of a photorealistic flower bouquet, like walking into a flower shop or through a fancy garden. It's been about a year now since I initially encountered this fragrance in a Sephora, but I'm still completely in love. It's one of the crowning jewels of my collection. I will admit, this fragrance is not complex and it's mostly tuberose. It's a white floral scent accompanied by a slightly green quality like cut stems, which I understand is not for everyone. But to my nose, which is addicted to anything white floral, it's a simple, elegant masterpiece. It really does smell like a fresh bouquet of flowers, stems snipped, and arranged in a vase. This is a perfect fragrance for Spring, as the white florals are more subdued in cool drizzly weather, although I will probably still wear it throughout the Summer months and maybe even into Autumn as well.

Hands down, one of my favourite perfumes. I find the tuberose and jasmine photorealistic, brings me back to my childhood when my parents always had these two flowers in the house. Such a beautiful feminine perfume, I honestly can't have enough of it! Absolutely fell in love with this perfume when I smelt it at the airport in Paris! Pretty iconic moment for me 💅🏾 An easy compliment getter BUT longevity is not as good as I thought it would be. It lasts for a couple of hours and then seems to fade away unless people are in the scent bubble, which isn't really ideal. A perfume this pretty should be long lasting and project more! Compared to the other bloom flankers, this is definitely my favourite and I am not fond of the other ones as much. Not really sure if I would repurchase only because of the longevity but I would love any dupe for it because I do love this profile oh so much!

Was gifted this fragrance years ago and have repurchased three times. A gorgeous floral suitable for absolutely any occasion imaginable. It's like a botanical garden from a fairytale universe, yet very sophisticated. I find it to have a very cold/cooling property to it almost like the flowers are slightly dewy, which I find makes it great for layering. It blends well with a lot of other fragrances in my collection and adds a cool, uplifting, invigorating floral touch to any fragrance combo. It does smell a LOT like Do Son by Diptyque however, I find Do Son to be slightly spicier and a tad more complex, and not as dewy or cooling. They both serve a time and place but Bloom is generally a safer choice for office and indoor spaces and definitely wearable for any season. I get complimented on it everytime I wear it.

This is so so so soft and pretty! Its lighter and simpler than the Gocce di Fiori flanker that I fell in love with (which comes across more lively and sharp) ♡ I get lots of perfectly soft and creamy jasmine with tuberose and honeysuckle~ the florals aren't sharp at all, and no screech from the jasmine! Its realistic to my nose and so well balanced~ The notes are simple, but that makes it perfect for an everyday white floral! It would be especially lovely in warm weather and can go from day to night~ If you like Tocca Florence, this is likely to be a hit! Its light and feminine, and feels like getting caught in a breeze surrounded by flowers in the best way ♡ I'm thinking of getting a full bottle, because it fulfills what I love about Florence but has more lasting power ♡

This is actually amazing. Compared to Do Son—which is a quarrel I keep having, a love that scratches and bites—Bloom comes differently. It rises like a morning you don’t have to defend yourself against. Smoother. More natural. As if someone simply placed tuberose on a banana leaf, still wet from the market, and let it be. You think it’s simple at first. Creamy. Almost well-behaved. But then—there it is. A raunchy femme underneath, half-hidden, smelling of skin and secret hours. No tricks. No constructed tuberose accord built from expensive little molecules trying to imitate life. Gucci Bloom uses the real thing: tuberose absolute from India. Raw. Generous. Unashamed. That is why it lives. That is why it watches you from the other side of the room and does not blink.

When I was 24, my boyfriend picked out and gifted me Gucci Bloom. At the time, I didn’t love it. The white florals felt powdery, and a little too mature. But I wore it to the office, and it became my most complimented fragrance. I finished the bottle. Years later, I have bought it again, and now, I get it. The white florals aren’t old-ladyish—they’re elegant. Gucci Bloom doesn’t smell like someone’s grandmother. It smells like someone with good and sophisticated taste. I credit this shift to Alien. Two years of wearing it, and jasmine went from something I tolerated to something I actively seek out in every fragrance. So yes, Gucci Bloom is firmly in my top three—alongside Mugler Alien Essence Absolue and Burberry Goddess. And it’s not going anywhere.

Very potent at first. Like you shoved your whole head into a bouquet of fresh jasmine & tuberose. It’s dewy & realistic. Once it settles it becomes more lush & creamy. It gives you that sweet, almost banana-like scent. It’s very straightforward & linear. Enveloping you in an enchanted garden of white florals. It’s soft, feminine & versatile. Best in spring & summer. Can be worn anywhere during the day & even for a date night in the summer heat. I love this perfume because it’s easy to layer with other fragrances and lotions if you wish. I once layered this is BBW lotion in sun-ripened raspberry & it was so good; I got a lot of compliments that day.

Perfumes are truly magical...I was under the impression that florals do not agree with me. And here we are... hopelessly in love with a perfume called Bloom. It is light and fresh, there is no vanilla or musk to weight it down, no woods to make it harsh. Just pure flowers, clean, creamy, yummy. And still, some may find it heavy because it projects and lasts like crazy. You have to love jasmin to love this perfume. My kids love this perfume on me, so does my husband and he is picky. I reach this one all year, for any occasion but I do believe spring is her season. This is one I will repurchase once my bottle is gone ❤️

A lovely, unassuming floral. Bloom is tame in my opinion, but in a good way. I have a strong affinity for tuberose which is apparent with Bloom but not at all overpowering, leaving room for jasmine to shine through. Well balanced. No, this isn't a complex wear. Its consistent and inoffensive. Perfect for day wear, equally appropriate for the office, brunch, or a more formal event. Another user noted that it reminds them of EL Beyond Paradise and I completely agree! Having been a Beyond Paradise fan in the early 2000s, it makes perfect sense why I would enjoy Bloom so much.

It's simple and beautiful and sometimes that's all that you need. Beautiful for layering and beautiful alone. It's definitely a mood booster and I agree that this smells purple (mostly because of the jasmine). I believe that the jasmine that is used in Bloom is the same jasmin that is used in Alien. I think that's the main reason why some people don't like this fragrance because it definitely has an animalistic essence to it similar to Alien. I believe that this is a safe blind buy if you love Alien. Otherwise I definitely recommend smelling this in the store.

Equally Easter Sunday service and New Year's Eve. Fresh linen and sweat. A wedding or funeral. Both natural and well maintained. A balanced scent of fresh mud, stems, and wood in the cleanest possible way. There is something sad about it? Perhaps it is the nostalgic aspects of it, but this makes it feel calm to me. This is a gorgeous perfume for young women as it is age-ambiguous and sweet without going overboard. It layers so so well with other musky oils to become more casual. Do not let the lack of notes here deceive you, she is versatile. 10/10

My very first designer fragrance, it was love at first sniff in the store. I was yearning for it for years as a broke uni student, then built up the courage and finally bought it - and this single purchase pushed me into loving and buying perfumes. Gucci Bloom was my number one, my first love, so no matter how many negative comments I see about this fragrance, I'll always love it and wear it with pride. I REALLY REALLY hope they'll never discontinue it, but just in case, I'll buy myself another 100ml this Christmas. Make sure I never run out of it.

A beautiful scent. Gucci Bloom smells like my wedding day. The white flowers in my bouquet, a cool summer afternoon, when the air is fresh just after rain. Feeling so vulnerable on the way to the church and wishing my late mother could have been there with me. But how beautifully everything turned up in the end, on one of the happiest days of my life. Starts green, turns into gentle, cool white floral. Longevity and sillage are good. Tears of sadness and tears of joy. Sunshine through the rain. I will cherish this scent forever!

Chic, chic, chic!! Bloom totally captivates me! A girl told me it's like a wedding. I feel it's like when you pour water into thirsty flowers and they suddenly bloom and start sending seductive aromas! It's like if you are the flower it self. It's intensive thought not overwhelming. Rich but light. Very delicate on skin. Totally exotic! I just miss a better longevity. Sillage is very high in the first hour and then it stars getting more and more discrete. I recommend it for someone who like white florals and wants to impress.

This perfume might not be the most complex, mind blowing perfume but it's grown to be the perfume people associate me with, as I wear it very often and it was my daily perfume for a LONG time. It is a true white floral fragrance with no bs. The jasmine does not last long on me (honestly, I can't smell it much) but the tuberose truly comes out and remains on me all day. I have come to wear this one mainly in the autumn and winter months as I find the floral notes to suit me when I'm not overheating, if that makes any sense.
