Gucci Guilty Intense Pour Homme

I am shocked at the hate for this fragrance in the previous reviews. Went shopping today to see what I might be in the mood for and ended up picking this fragrance up after an hourlong visit and many comparisons. Thei scent is linear. It starts with lemon mixed with woods and a pronounced patchouli. Gradually, the lemon gives way to lavender accented with patchouli and other spices. It also becomes more of a woody spicy mix. Even so, the lemon remains in the background coloring the scent. The lavender also has a key role to play. Despite the predictable pattern, the particular mixture of the elements varies, sometimes even between sniffs, as each of the accords waxes and wanes. The dry down is, in my view, a rich, seductive mixture. While others seem to have issues with longevity, on my skin it lasts forever. It has been 10 hours since I applied it at the store and, while it is a skin scent at this stage, it is still quite noticeably there. During its earlier stages, it projects well and smells woodsy and spicy. I bought this one following head to head skin tests of the complete line of John Varvatos, which it crushed in terms of projection and longevity. The only negative, to me, for this scent is that it is very popular, and I prefer not to wear scents that others are wearing. My suspicion that this popularity is, in part, responsible for some of the hate on this fragrance. Bottom line: If you are looking for an interesting woodsy and spicy scent, this one fits the bill nicely. Definitely worth a look.

I've absolutely fallen in love with this stuff. I can't get enough. I was sniffing paper at Ulta and initially thought this one's brother just stood out a bit from the others, so I thought, yep, if I was to choose I'd probably choose this one, but I wasn't buying, and really wasn't that impressed, I just thought Gucci Guilty was better than the other waft's I whiffed. Then though, it stayed in the back of my mind. I started thinking I wanted another juice to add to my collection. I went to another store that has way more options and whiffed a bunch of stuff I saw get rave reviews. Then, I saw the Gucci Guilty and wondered how it would compare. Darned if it wasn't still better to me than even all these greatly reviewed scents. Then, I saw the Intense version. Had to compare the two. Lo and behold, Intense was just a more potent stronger example of what I liked about the lesser strength brother. Still though, I had to repeatedly go back and forth between the strips to decide. Heavenly, I pulled the trigger on the Guilty Intense. It won the shoot out. Now, I'm wearing it and loving every moment. This stuff is much better to me, than any reviewer has indicated. I have no idea why that is. Most stuff I tend to agree with the majority of reviewers, but I really think this stuff should be lauded over La Nuit, or any of the Chanel's, or Dior's. It's just a pleasure to smell on yourself. I don't have any fragrances I want to smell my arm this much with. I love this stuff.

This has been my favorite scent for my entire time dabbling in fragrances. Granted I only wear it during the fall or winter because it is a beast mode fragrance, but it's a fantastic scent. I recently wore it for the first time in a couple of months because Fall has just begun and I was still blown away by the performance. I applied it at 11:30 am and I was still getting whiffs at 8:00 pm and the projection is fantastic as well. I really enjoy the Gucci Guilty scent DNA because nothing else smells like it. Sure, it's a take on a modern day fresh scent for a younger man, but that's perfect because I am 20. What I love most about this scent is the "dark" / "mysterious" vibe that it has. It's a fresh scent, but I can only guess that the combination of lavender and amber give this a "dark" / "mysterious" vibe, and the ladies eat this stuff up. Scent: 5/5 (great scent, unique) Longevity: 4.5/5 (great longevity) Sillage: 4/5 (very good projection) Versatility: 3/5 (great for the fall or winter because it's strong) Compliments: 4/5 (fresh with a dark vibe. the ladies love it) Age Range: 18-35(ish) Overall: 4.10/5.0 You cannot go wrong with this stuff. Be careful to not over apply this though because it is quite strong and lasts a long time. I recommend 2-3 sprays, with 4 sprays being the max. I apply 1 spray behind each ear and 1 spray either on the front of my neck or the back.

Absolutely love this fragrance. I have a bias since this was one of the first fragrances on my journey as a fragrance hobbyist. It has sentimental value to me. But, Gucci Guilty Intense is fantastic regardless of my history with it. It's indeed a step up from the original and more intense in scent and performance. I do find the original as being just ordinary, but this Intense ticks all the boxes for me. Love that lavender/citrus opening. I equate this with Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. I feel it serves a similar purpose: a great smelling, fresh, modern attention-grabbing scent that's hard to dislike for the wearer and everyone around. Unfortunately the mockingbirds will repeat the dogma that Gucci Guilty sucks because it's not Pour Homme 2003 or Pour Homme 2. I agree that those are masterpieces, but let's not hate a good fragrance over poor marketing decisions. If Guilty Intense were in an Armani Code bottle, or YSL Y flanker, people wouldn't shut up about it. Seems like this has been discontinued. Must secure a backup before prices hit the $200+ mark. I'll always have some on hand to remember the earlier days. Love this stuff.

I'mma be straight up, this was one of the first ones I bought as I got into fragrances because I always thought it was cool as a kid walking into Sephora and seeing the prices for just some "perfume". I have both this intense version and the original Gucci Guilty Pour Homme. I admit I am a fan of the scent. Its refreshing, light, and boosts my confidence. I don't know why. The citruses and lavender are blended well, this scent was created for mass-appeal, and that is where I do get where dislike/hate is directed towards this line. But I personally believe that no one is going to complain if you are wearing this. The bottle is really nice as well. I'd recommend this if you can buy it at a discounters for a good price. Performance for the intense version is pretty good, I would say average. 4+ hours consistently on my skin while projection for at least an hour. Superior to the original GG, so I do prefer the intense version (But they do smell 90% similar). Won't change your life, but you'll smell good :) Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 6.5/10 Scent: 8/10 (Love it, but it is not special)

Back in 2011, I found a strip ad that was for Gucci Guilty Intense. I opened up the strip and it was LOVE at first sniff. I held onto that strip for the longest time cause I just loved smelling it that much! I eventually broke and bought a small bottle and have adored it ever since. Sadly, I drifted away from it as I loved to sample new fragrances. Few days ago I ordered a very small bottle to see if the love was still there. I discovered that it never left. The moment I smelled it again, no fragrance I owned meant anything. This is the scent for me. I smell it and it's just perfection to me. I know that people say it smells generic and cheap but to me it's amazing! On me the projection is strong and the longevity is great! It really always depends on the person. The scent is slightly sweet from amber, which I think is mixing with that touch of lemon. The woody notes are there to give it a good backbone. I can never get enough of this fragrance!

This was my first fragrance I ever owned. I believe I was 19 or 20. I was visiting my mom and her boyfriend had a few fragrances at the time and I had a date that evening. He told me to go spray some and see if I liked any. When I sprayed this one I loved it. I put it on and I told him this one is amazing. He said keep it. I was shocked and happy. The date went well. I had another experience with this fragrance as well. I was at my job at the time. Myself and 3 other guys and one female were standing in a circle talking. The female (who was good looking) just stopped mid conversation and said one of you guys smell so good. She went around the circle and got to me. She said yep it's you. I knew then that fragrances make a difference. Sad this is discontinued. Good memories.

Reminds me of the Gucci Guilty Pour Homme. I don't have it myself but rather, I have the Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme. I love the Gucci Guilty line despite all the negative comments or reviews on here. I was a given 4 small samples of this, two sprays on the next, one on each wrist. With the nature of my jib, it involves a lot of hand washing technique and I must say, this perfume really sticks to my skin regardless of how many times I wash my hands. I even get compliments from my patients and colleagues saying I smell good even after a 13 hour shift. I need to buy this and the Gucci Guilty Pour Homme to complete the line. One of the best out there!

What is with all the hate towards this spectacular, sexy, sweet fragrance. Gucci guilty intense smells of a sweet flowering tree alongside with bursts of fresh citrus that eases the nose and then takes over with its intoxicating scent. Sillage and longevity are both amazing I sprayed this on my skin at seven in the morning and it was still going at it after the whole day I showered at ten so well over twelve hours even projection was still clouding away of course not as strong as when first sprayed but still for someone to smell you from twenty feet away after nine hours and drools over the fragrance, that is nothing to complain about. ;)

I agree with Edward.shebar, Gucci Intense is addicting. I am no expert and can't detect any particular notes but I'm continually sniffing myself. I'm usually not attracted to scents like this, the colognes I like normally have tonka, coffee and vanilla. To be honest, the only reason I tried this was that the initials resembled Batman. For a cologne that is bashed on, why can't the stores keep it stocked? I got the last bottle left on the shelf and I'm planning on getting another bottle. Lasts all day and then some.

I loved the way this smelled when I sampled it at Macy's . When I got it home, it still smells great. The top note is good, but the dry down is awesome. I love the spiciness. The bottle is unique, but the cap can be hard to remove. My only constructive criticism I can give, is to improve the first spray note. If this smelled like the dry down,I'd have bought 3 bottles.

Gucci Guilty is a good fragrance, it ́s so aromatic in the style of Bleu of Chanel. Its lavender, orange blossom, lemon and patchouli does of this fragrance a good choice for hot weather, coriander and mainly amber give a warm touch. Certainly is a little synthetic, but it ́s a good choice for office work and outings with friends. The longevity and sillage is medium.

I get a fresh patchouli not very dark I’d even say this is more of a spring summer scent than gets credit for I still find the original maybe a touch better and both are extremely underrated the opening of every Gucci Guilty throws ppl off the rails so much they don’t wanna take the full ride ..... wait the 30 min and smell how beautiful they can develope

This is a strong fragrance, to me it has a good longevity, maybe my skin or PG goes well with it. This will make heads to turn to look at you, when you pour this on you and get to a public place, this will make that people look at you as the attention center, if you're shy or don't like to catch the attention my advice is that you do not wear this.

I particularly like the amber and slightly spicy drydowns in each perfume. It offers great longevity and projection. I will never understand negative comments, personal preference is important. Explain why you don't like it, don't attack. Don't do that with any perfume. Every perfume can have its likes and dislikes.

i absolutely ADORE this cologne! i was searching for something for my boyfriend for Christmas and i stumbled upon this. I know that it will smell very different on him but on my skin, it is a very subtle, very sexy and very intimate scent. It is absolutely incredible and I'm tempted to buy a bottle for myself!

Top tier juice for sure! Wife's fav and a straight panty dropper no doubt. I own all the Gucci Guilty's and this is the go to weekend stuff and never fails. Most complimented juice in my arsenal and for good reason. Do yourself a favor and grab a bottle, better make it a big bottle...trust me!!!

Really loving this stuff, I just don't understand the bad reviews but to each is own. Smells so good, projection on skin not the greatest but spray on clothes it last for a whole week!

One of my top 5 scent DNAs. The lavender and coriander, together with the orange blossom (recently up-and-coming, see the YSL MYSLF line)--just divine.

Not bad, although I have problem discerning the difference with the regular version. They're too similar, both in the notes and longevity.

This should be the intense version of the original, but somehow I find this to be lack of projection compare to the original..

It's a nice fragrance that has an minty, earthy, citrus scent profile. That can turn heads...during the warmer times. I'll have to keep this in mind and try it again during the late spring. Okay so being thoroughly underwhelmed by the original I thought I'd better try this one and guilty black just to check I hadn't just dismissed the entire range off hand. First of all this fragrance is pleasant, very pleasant indeed I love the lemony sherbet opening and subdued gentleness of this fragrance, I can see why it would be a good crowd pleaser as to me at least, it's the dictionary definition of 'inoffensive'. It is VERY similar to Zegna Forte to me but lacking in one crucial area.... depth! Forte has more of a Tonka/tobacco/honey thing and this takes it a level above Guilty intense but other than that massively similar. The drydown of the Gucci just gets lemony softer and more powdery and longevity is poor and projection is non existent really stays close...where as the Zegna has a much deeper more sensual dry down and is by no means a beast but lasts a little longer. Basically if you like this fragrance and the original (which I do to an extent) but want something yet more 'intense' check out Zegna Forte.

This is one of those fragrances in my collection that always seems to pull me back in every time I start to think about moving on from it. It has a knack of just doing everything you need in a fragrance good enough across the board. To me, It has a pleasing scent profile, and no less than 8 hrs of longevity on my skin, I like it better than the original due to the fact that it is a much better performer. It's a good 3 season scent, and provides a nice 1-2 ft scent bubble for 1-2 hours. (2011 bottle) It has a fresh but dense vibe that may not rock your world or garner many compliments, but it just smells nice. I have come to appreciate it more now 13 years later since it smells different compared to what's being released now. It's not a must-have for every collection. But it is unique enough in my collection to keep its spot and get worn once or twice a month. As for occasions to wear, I primarily wear it in cooler weather months, and mostly for the office.

This is Gucci Guilty EDT with an ambery and chocolatey patchouli base. I wouldn't call it totally generic, but it's been done before, it's sort of in the style of Paco Rabanne Black XS 2005 - it's a pretty good twist on the original DNA overall. All year-round and every occasion (maybe not the dressiest, because it can come across as playful), has great longevity (I could clearly smell it after 7-8 hours) and the projection is moderate to heavy for about 2 hours. Just like most discontinued fragrances, it's not worth the inflated price, but if you can find it for the original retail price or under, it might be worth a shot.

A decent fragrance !! Definitely a "LIKE" but not impressive enough to be a "LOVE" !! Opens with a citrusy-lavendery smell.. After a while this citrusy-lavendery smell weakens but stays in the background and is taken over by a note that is spicy, very ambery and slightly floral.. I find the smell quite smart and manly.. Can be used for both formal and casual occasions.. Depending on the weather, the smell lasts between 5 and 6 hours on my skin.. Projection is confined to about a six-inch radius around my skin.. Can be worn all year round but my personal recommendation would be fall or winter nights...

Fragrance Journal Entry #91 Such an iconic fragrance, back in the early 2010s everybody was wearing this stuff and everytime i smell it i get taken back to those much simpler times and in essence that's what this fragrance is..a reminder of happier simple times. It has this unique sort of green barbershop feel to it and it's incredibly sexy. Biggest drawback despite this being the "intense" version has always been the performance, moderate at best. This is one i no longer wear but like to smell from the cap for nostalgic purposes. Rating: 7.6/10 Blind Buy Safe? YES

People bash the Gucci Guilty line, and I understand why, but just because the Gucci Guilty line isn't unique or any different than the other Gucci fragrances, it doesn't mean that this is a bad fragrances. I quite like this, it lasts for about 7 - 10 hours on me and the sillage is great, not too powerful but not too weak, and the scent is a more intimate, intense version of the original Gucci Guilty pour homme. I will admit that I own much better fragrances, but this isn't a bad fragrance at all, especially for beginners to the fragrance game. 3/5 stars

A high-quality aromatic lemon scent. It smells incredibly refreshing — perfect for summer. I can’t even explain how much I love the coriander note in this. I also fell in love with that same note in Zen, and here it’s just as beautiful. It adds this cool, slightly spicy, elegant twist to the citrus. Honestly, it’s such a classy fragrance — fresh, refined, and long-lasting too. ی عطر لیمویی اروماتیک خیلی با کیفیت. بوش واقعا برای تابستون رفرشینگه. نمیتونم بگم چقد عاشق نت تخم گشنیزم توی عطر زن هم عاشق همین نت شده بودم. واقعا عطر باکلاسیه و ماندگاریشم عالیه

I'm guilty in enjoying this fragrance. Is it the best fragrance I've ever smelled? No. Is it in my top 5? No. But it doesn't need to be. It smells pleasant, it's versatile and it gets me awesome compliments. A more refined version of the original and a people pleaser. It has also dropped in price, and while it's still not super cheap, it still comes at an acceptable price. I guess this is my guilty pleasure as far as "political correctness" in fragrances goes. But hey, fragrances are subjective. So sample it and make up your own mind. 7.5/10

I actually like this one. If you're a fan of sweeter fragrances, this may be up your alley. Silage and performance is NOT so intense, instead the scent profile is more amped up and sweeter compared to its older brother. I feel like to get most of this one, it must be used RIGHT when you enter a function or going somewhere. Synthetic and can be a little scratchy at times. Easily all year round in indoor environments, may be good for the spring, summer NIGHTS and autumn days outdoors.

Very pleasant fragrance. Soft,a bit sweet and elegant. Projects very well. To me, it is almost unisex. Certainly not generic. It's really unique. One of the best male scents out there. This is for a modern,a bit artsy young man. Dominant notes are orange flower, amber (liquid and sweet, not powdery ) and lavender that adds a nice herbal touch. It's very well blended. I am positively impressed. Final Note : 9,5/10

I find this to be a fairly bold scent, but not too strong. I wore it all summer and really enjoyed it. The blending is excellent. However, I found that, despite its initial strength, the projecting power of the scent fades quicker than expected. Fortunately, the remaining scent lasts many more hours. Be careful not to use too much; one spray is enough for me.

To be completely honest, it’s nothing too crazy. I love a fresh cologne though, and this fits the profile. It’s one of my run of the mill colognes personally - as i can just throw it on and live with my day. I’d reccomend but, imo if you wanted something super fresh and good for your value just go with a classic nautica voyage.

For me Gucci Guilty Intense is much better than the original. Yes, it's more intense than Gucci Guilty, lavender, patchouli, and orange blossom are more prominent, and the addition of amber and coriander adds value to this composition. Tried this one today along with Guilty, it was ok but nothing super spectacular. It was much better than Guilty which I did not like. Overall honestly this one is fairly boring and kind of a let down, however this is still gonna make the like section since it is somewhat pleasant and wearable, but isn't for me. 5.5/10 overall

It's hard not to love this considering how versatile and mass appealing this is. It's not a monster performer, but it's smooth and sleek and gets the job done. You can wear this to the office or to the bar. If you wear it to the bar, you will need a few extra sprays and you are sure to get compliments from the bar maid.

Not one of my favorites but something just won't let me sell it... Definitely agree with the 'Synthetic' comments, however, on my skin that only last for about a half hour. Once the alcohol burns off and the notes interact, it smells pleasant. I consider it a fun scent. Don't wear it enough to comment on performance.

Fragrance enthusiasts discount this fragrance because it was made to be a pleasing, mainstream scent. There is nothing wrong with just smelling good. If you want to smell good and get a lot of compliments, this is a great scent. If you want to smell like a forest, burnt tires, or incense and celery look elsewhere.

I really like this one, it is really sexy! I am a girl, and only tried it on myself, however (got a sample at the mall and couldn't resist!)but I plan on giving the sample to my bf and seeing if he likes it. I love the crisp, citrusy yet slightly spicy top notes--I think I like it even more than the women's!

My husband favourite fragrance. I like it too but it does not last long. I know the smell fading away after 1 hour and he gotta spray again after that. Nice fragrance but the longevity is very bad. And here in Malaysia, it's expensive too!

Probably the most underrated flanker of the guilty line. This is nice to wear on a crisp day. Good longevity from this I get about 8 hours. This is by no means unique but if you want to just smell good then this is any easy grab

The top notes are energtic and inviting leading quickly the the orange which stay around a while mixing in the soft base of patchulli. The dry down is mystical rock and roll with a orange crush. Its haunting. I like it.

I dont get all the hate this fragrance is getting,theres nothing special about it but i dont think its that bad,i think its suitable for anytime any weather
