Guilty Pour Homme

I probably haven't been involved with fragrances quite long enough to realize what it is that garners all the animosity towards Gucci Guilty. Maybe, it's like Dior, a company that makes very original and stand out works of art type designer fragrances, suddenly went all out mainstream. Perhaps, this is viewed as "selling out", in some way. I get that. Before I was really into fragrances, I liked a lot of the Tom Ford created Yves St. Laurent stuff, then I found everything after he left L'homme to be, just not what I liked. I just didn't come into Gucci at their high point I guess. I found them now. I don't know what their old stuff smells like because most of it isn't available. When I got my nose on Gucci Guilty it was because I was in a store and compared it on an equal footing to many others for which I wasn't concerned with the brand name. My nose was my judge. I don't think this smells generic. Bleu De Chanel has become the Generic smelling cologne for me because there are so many that smell like it, Jimmy Choo, Acqua Essenziale, Sauvage etc. This one doesn't smell like Bleu De Chanel, so cross that "generic" description off the list. It smells really good, like almost fruity, but sexy. I have a yuuuge collection and I don't have anything that smells as close to this as all the previously mentioned one's smell to Bleu De Chanel. Seriously, this is a unique fragrance, unless you are comparing it to Gucci Guilty Intense which is supposed to smell like it. This stuff smells good, maybe familiar, but it is original. When my nose decided my favorite fragrance I was smelling at the store it was this one. Subsequently, I read reviews and tried to figure out how this one gets so much grief. I say just let your nose guide you and lay off the people running Gucci Guilty because your favorite perfumer left. Maybe this isn't your style, but it is someone else's, many other else's, and just realize a page has turned at Gucci. This is good juice.

I'm a little late to the party with this one. Just received my order of Gucci Guilty and a few flankers. I discovered this fragrance years ago when I had just only begun exploring the fragrance hobby. At this early stage I only shopped at Sephora and I think it may have been included in one of those sample packs that let you exchange a coupon for a full size bottle. I don't think I liked it very much back then, but smelling it now makes me feel some nostalgia. A simpler time. Now over 10 years later, I've smelled and owned a lot of different fragrances, niche and designer, different price brackets, and I think I've come round full circle. I really like this fragrance! I know people say it's boring or uninspired, and maybe that's true, but it's hard to argue that this fragrance doesn't smell good. Funny how tastes evolve over time. I can't really pick out individual notes, so maybe that's a testament to it's blending, or my poor nose. Either way, a bottle of Gucci Guilty and it's flankers can be had at discounters in the $60 range, which I think is a good value. I get about 4-5 hours of longevity with about an hour of sillage. Not a great performer, but at EDT concentration I'm not expecting much. It's good for what it is. Great for dumb reach, go out for a quick errand kind of fragrance. If you need it to last an entire work day, just go heavier on the trigger. I will review the flankers soon. Go grab a bottle!

I never saw the commercial for this fragrance, I guess because I almost never watch TV. So, the whole story about heavy marketing for this fragrance didn't have any influence on me. Anyway, after I sprayed it on my wrist I fell in love with it immediately! After it I looked up on Internet and I was shocked to see so many bad reviews. So, I thought maybe my taste for fragrances is really weird. Then I decided to listen to experienced users from Fragrantica, and I decided to test few of the fragrances with the most positive reviews. And guess what, I didn't like any of them! All of them were overpowering to the point of causing slight nausea. So, my final thought is: Most users who write reviews here are "fragrance fanatics" who LOVE to attract the attention of people on the street by wearing extremely strong fragrances. For me personally, it's a big turn off when I'm able to smell someone from the distance of more than couple of feet. My opinion is that only extremely attractive people leave good impression by wearing strong fragrances, and all other people look just funny by doing the same. For me Gucci Guilty smells incredible! It's masculine, sexy, warm, and nostalgic at the same time. Lasts pretty long on my skin, and it won't choke people around you. Anyone who smells this fragrance on you will come closer to smell it better. And that's what you want, right?

I liked this straight away. It seems very hated on, and since I've gotten my nose on it, I have no idea why. The performance, which seems to be everyone's biggest complaint, was at least average for me and definitely nothing that would detract from my opinion of it, and the scent itself is beautiful. It was instantly familiar to me, but I couldn't figure out what it reminded me of. The good ol' 'reminds me of" section came to the rescue: Only the Brave by Diesel, which I happen to like, and a bit of Allure Home Sport, which I also enjoy but don't own a bottle as I don't want to spend the money on it. That match with Diesel has received as many downvotes as upvotes, but I think people often mistake the "reminds me of" section with the "exact, carbon-copy" section. While certainly not identical, all three are similar concoctions sharing a general sweet, woody vibe. The lavender-focused Gucci seems a bit more mature and formal than the amber-centric Diesel, slightly less sweet and a little creamy or powdery. If you can get the 3 oz. bottle of GPH for under for a decent price, I think it's a good value and a versatile fragrance that will be liked by just about anyone who catches a whiff. And if you don't want to spend that much, you can get a 4.2 oz. bottle of Only the Brave for less than $45.

Hated on this when it came out because it was such a stark change of direction from their previous masterpieces. Bought it last year because I happened to sniff it in Hawaii and for some reason my brain attached some incredibly powerful neuroassociation to it being “the scent of Hawaii” — and yes, I know how ridiculous that is — and I have to say, as with all popular fragrances I used to be a hater of, this is a really well done, mass appealing little jewel. It’s such an easy dumb reach and smells great, lasts decently, and women really do love it. When I first smelled it my girl and I noticed how it was vaguely similar to Chanel Allure Sport, which is one of my all time favorites. It hits the spot when I don’t want to use up my good old stock of Allure Sport. It’s become one of my favorites for its comfortable and easy to wear scent, and it’s one of those that makes me feel even more attractive when I put it on. I notice it’s got a fairly low rating here, surely for the same reason that I initially hated on it — it’s not GPH or Envy. That’s not really a fair criticism to make of it. It’s a great one and still quite relevant today.

This is a very attractive scent! I have a small 1.5 ml sample and I'm really enjoying it. In the first few minutes it's very citrusy, and it has a handsome lavender and lemon scent that's very gentle to my nose, which gradually gains some vanilla as it develops. I pick up on a little cedar towards the end of its life the more I test it. It isn't brash, loud, or obnoxious, and I was slightly surprised that I'd like it so much. It very much compliments the wearer without being too attention grabbing. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme is a gentleman's perfume. To me, it feels sophisticated yet understated and well-mannered.This is such an alluring scent, but unfortunately it lasts about an hour to an hour and a half on my skin. The performance is a bit disappointing, but it doesn't subtract from the appeal for me. I love this fragrance and if I ever smelled it on another guy I'd definitely want to stand as close as possible to him. <3

Gucci Guilty is extremely underrated. It was pretty popular back in the day but the popularity didn’t last long. There’s nothing else on the market that smells like this and it is a huge slept on compliment getter. It really is the perfect every day, all season fragrance with a seductive edge. PERFORMANCE ISSUES: To the people who say the performance is bad, I think this may be a case of the sprayer on the bottle being weak/not putting out a lot of juice. Try spraying each spot on your body twice. This will give you the normal amount of juice that most other bottles will spray. I get fine longevity/projection out of this and my skin soaks up fragrance. I've also had luck layering this with either molecule 01/02 and that has gotten me noticed more and I've received unsolicited compliments on it proving it was projecting fine. No, the performance isn’t great but it’s serviceable. Hope this helps!

This is a great fragrance, in 2018 I ordered a bunch of 10ml decants so I can figure out what i like an order my first ever fragrance bottle, I received ysl y , dior sauvage, bleu de chanel, Bvlgari man in black, aqua di gio, versace eros, and gucci guilty. an out of all of those samples I really enjoyed the gucci scent so much that I instantly ordered a 90ML bottle, it is now 2 weeks from 2024 and I have about 45% of the bottle left an this scent will forever evoke nostalgic memories. I understand some people don't like it. But I've had multiple compliments and enjoy it myself. I don't wear it as much anymore as my fragrance collection has grown but it's always nice to wear once in awhile when I want to enjoy the scent or bring back great memories of old times. And it also brings back memories of loved ones that aren't here anymore I remember wearing it around.

I know Gucci Guilty Pour Homme has been out since 2011, but I just smelled it for the first time today at Sephora and it immediately reminded me of a cologne I have. I just couldn't remember what it was. I walked around the mall for over 2 hours sniffing my hand trying to remember what cologne it reminded me of and I finally figured out it smells like a cheapie cologne I bought from Marshalls last year called Renegade Iconic for Men. It's a round black bottle and you can usually find them a few times a year at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for less than $15. I love this scent! I gave 3 good sprays of the Gucci Guilty PH on the back of my hand and in less than 3 hours it was already faint. Longevity is below average, but the scent is amazing. If you want to save a bunch of money keep an eye out for Renegade Iconic at your local TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

I have a 1.5ml tester bottle and I can safely say that this is among the best fragrances I've tried so far. Bright lemon for the first 20ish minutes for me then it takes on those lavender and orange blossom notes that I don't find annoying like I usually do, it's tame on that front. The base smells great, classic cedar and patchouli mix with the gentlest vanilla note I've ever experienced (and I usually hate vanilla RELIGIOUSLY). Overall great scent, daily driver for pretty much any occasion. Longevity leaves much to be desired but it will get the job done, 6 hours on skin but surprisingly long on clothing tho, like 24 hours no problem. Projection and sillage are on the 'meh' side of things but it WILL get you compliments regardless. Solid 9/10, I'll get a full bottle soon enough. EDIT: Got a 50ml bottle :) Couldn't be more satisfied.

I tried this fragrance on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I don't understand why people in the fragrance community hate on Gucci Guilty. It's a beautiful scent, with notes of orange, vanilla, lavender, and patchouli, making it masculine yet playful. It's sweet enough to wear year-round, but fresh enough to stand out in the summer. It's a casual yet formal scent that would work well in an office environment. The fragrance is approachable, charming, and confident, but not pretentious. Although you may need to reapply throughout the day, it's worth it for the amazing scent. Gucci Guilty reminds me of a more mature version of a body spray I wore as a teenager, but with a grown-up twist. It's a generic but pleasing scent that will surely get compliments. I can't wait to buy the full bottle.

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme is one of the most playful and comforting fragrances I've worn. It's fresh, clean, and calming, with a youthful charm that never feels too serious. Man, reading through these comments makes me feel like the Sith Emperor in the original Star Wars trilogy. "Let the HATE flow through you!" I went to Sephora last night cruising for a new fragrance. I'd always seen these bottles, but always ignored them. Decided to try it out, and I'm so glad I did. This stuff smells freaking WONDERFUL. The comments that allude to Allure Homme Sport are spot on. This stuff smells fresh, just a bit sweet, and has this fabulous undercurrent of creaminess. I decided to let the hate pass on by me; I immediately went home and purchased the biggest, fattest bottle of it I could find on Jomashop. I can't wait to (proudly, mind you) wear this delightful fragrance. Haters gonna hate.

This surprisingly lasted for 8 hours on skin for me today, prompting this review. It’s a nice citrus lavender that dries aromatic and slightly vanilla sweet. Not cloying, not overbearing. Really pleasant to smell on yourself at all times of it’s lifecycle. I think it’s a great mature-casual scent to have. A 3 ounce bottle is going for 60 bucks now, which I think is a more than acceptable value. It’s far from anything special or showstopping, but not everything has to fit that category. This is an easy 7.5/10 and will have you smelling approachable, clean, and put together. Could be stronger, could be more unique, could be more timeless, but nothing actually being presented here is notably bad.

I understand this fragrance is not very popular around these parts. However, I'm not ashamed to admit this is the ONLY fragrance I've run through a full bottle of, and gone out and bought another to replace it. I don't know what it is about his scent, but I love wearing it. For me, it embodies everything good about Gucci: fresh, dark, clean, and luxurious. In a way I'm glad to see all of this adversity, as it means there will be fewer guys wearing this one around. I get great compliments on it, and feel like a million bucks wearing it. I own lots of great fragrances that, by all measures, are 'better' than Gucci Guilty, but if it came down to it, I'd choose this one over almost any other.

The fact a lot of people saying “absolute” is the best in the guilty line. Is wild to me. That scent no lie will have your average nose wondering who smells rancid. Stuff smells like stale chewing tobacco spit not joke. The Gucci guilty line in a nutshell -edt and black/essense is the best in the line in terms of smelling great and mass appeal women love and the average person and probably even the snobs on here will think you smell great if you told them it was some niche bs -parfum is strangely a softer version of the edt that doesn’t last... don’t waste your money -edp is great but it’s a certain vibe think not club but lounge trip-hop/downtempo all black night out vibes.

What is it with some of the ratings on here?! This should not be voted so low! The most office safe fragrance ever, it’s really good. I actually think the price is okay because the longevity and sillage is good with this although not a beast. It’s very safe some people will say boring but everyone needs something like this to turn to when they need it. It actually comes across to me like an iced floral fragrance, would be amazing on scorching days, good for all year round but I don’t think I would enjoy it on a cold winters day because of the cool iced feeling it projects. It’s mass appalling no one will be annoyed at smelling this

Brief. Yes it is like watching an ice cube melt. 2 hours later you are left behind with a skin butter milk/coconut sunscreen lotion. It smells ok on the sweeter side, floral and a bit leathery to balance the heavy sweet orange blossom. Over spraying might be necessary. This is overpriced for the same amount you can get something better. But if you want to spend the money and you feel curious I will recommend you to go test it at your local mall, sample it and then you will make your own judgement. But I guarantee you this one is kinda disappointing, mostly because of the longevity and performance factors. 6.0/10

On the first sniff you get a smile in your face. One of my mistakes when I started this hobby is basing a scent profile from the looks of the bottle. It's a hit or miss thing. The bottle looks classy. Opening is citrus floral. The smell is fresh. I remember CAHSEE. It dries down to a powdery floral spicy vanilla scent. With the combination of scents the floral accord isn't overwhelming and blends well with the others. A slight soapy scent is observed. Performance though is a weak 3-4 hours. Ok for resprays as you would welcome the sweet opening. A compliment magnet. 👍

Recently received a bottle of this from a friend as a gift. I'm very VERY pleased, this is NOT what I expected! This is a LOT warmer than I expected...I'm picking up a LOT of vanilla and I'm LOVING it!! I think I'll still layer this with my "Buttercream Vanilla" fragrance to amp it up even more. The rest of the fragrance is perfectly bright, warm and woody. It has my favorite combo of "Wood/Vanilla/Patchouli" the only thing missing is some pepper. Will post a review of it later this week when I wear it out layered with one of my vanillas...
