Clean, fresh florals ~ when I say clean, imagine it's refreshing greens with a tiny hint of floral...maybe white floral? as someone who adores L'Ombre Dans Leau, I can resonate with this one. Im a sucker for anything PEONIES but I dont get much peony in this one? nonetheless, I LOVE IT, and im considering to buy a bigger bottle. I feel Gucci always does bring out the best in their perfume line..(also Gucci pls bring back Gucci Parfum II and Gucci by Gucci EDP) UPDATE: this is my new signature scent. im bummed that it is sold out in my area and the waiting list for this perfume is now 2-pages long! i just love it so much i spray it on even before going to sleep. when i do spray it on my body, i'd take numerous sniffs on myself coz i love smelling it on me. people complimented me many times and i feel the perfume sings to me and calling my name hahaa..it's haunting as its name suggests! Oh GUCCI PLS DO NOT DISCONTINUE IT! UPDATE Feb 2025 ~ im still loving it. it's a gem, a rare find, it's 2025 now and i havent found any perfume that smells like it. =) also , i just discovered that Gucci Tears From The Moon won the 2023 Fragrance of the Year - Universal Luxury Category ... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

This is quite unique, I don’t think I can compare it to many fragrances, few that come across my mind that are slightly similar but yet still different. HFC Dancing Queen but it’s stronger than Gucci and slightly sharper, Gucci is much softer yet still has that slight spice sweetness that I remember from HFC. And also Kingkydise Laurent Mazzone Parfums but I think this one has more musk and citruses so again I do prefer Gucci over this one as well. Tears of the moon is very gorgeous, and absolutely ultra feminine fragrance and first fragrance from Gucci line I actually truly love and wear. I think the Lily of the Valley really adds that green quite note, softness and uniqueness to this fragrance that differs from other peony center fragrances. Also I would classify it as clean clean fragrances, it definitely has some slight spice and sweetness to it but just perfect amount not to be overwhelming. One down side is I don’t think it’s great performer, I get may be 4-6 hours before I have to reapply. All in all love it and definitely happy I bought it.

I love this scent, happiness in a bottle! It has a lightness and carefree vibe that is quite special, while being very sophisticated. The dry down reminds me of getting whiffs of a luxurious body cream from your skin throughout the day. It was on my wish list for years and I put off buying it because I let others’ opinions that it’s a high price point for this profile put me off. I eventually found it second hand but I wish I had bought it sooner - even though the notes might look generic, there is something special about it to me. If you like something, trust your gut. We are all different, and it not being worth it to others, does not say anything about what it will do for you. The joy I get from this scent is so worth it! Lasts fairly well on paper and skin and the bottle and box are pieces of art. I see similarities with Armani Privé Pivoine Suzhou, but they are each their own thing.

I finally got this in the mail! its a lightly powdery delicate dry rose scent to me. When I say delicate, I mean very delicate which may bake it lean feminine however there is no sweetness to this. Im getting less Peony and more Rose as the notes say Peony but it a very natural floral oil and not an imitation of a floral note. This is not a strong fragrance at all more of a skin scent. I do like this a lot thought, however it may not be a crowd pleaser or compliment getter.. you will never bother anyone with this even if you spray 100 sprays. Its a white linen type of scent but maybe fit for a queens bed... it does remind me of royalty. A white satin pillow of a princess or queen :) Very fluffy and dry like a coconut husk type of dry but balanced out with the natural light floral oils in it. Really worth trying if you like light, delecate white T kind of frags.

Admittedly, I’m a sucker for any floral. But this has to be my absolute favorite. I wore Coach Floral on the daily for years, and this is her more sophisticated older sister. It’s not at all an aged floral in my opinion, it’s very light and I’d say friendly for nearly all ages, while some florals can smell dated or age you. It’s a very fresh scent, you’re paying a lot to smell like you just took a shower and lit some candles, sprayed some rose water and walked through a garden of jasmine. It’s a very pretty scent, but quite light. There is no sweetness to it, it’s a dry floral scent. Fades nicely, and lasts many hours, but more of a skin scent than one you could smell projecting a mile away.

Just like a gentle morning kiss or an innocent evening peck, this fragrance arrives without any fanfare to simply envelop the space around one’s body with its close to skin notes while making its arrival a sensual happening. The subtle peony notes take the center stage while the balance of the floral notes provide their supporting rolls in perfect harmony and create a symphony meant for one... intimate and reserved for the seldom few who get a chance for a closer encounter! A journey to the days gone by and yet still ahead. A precious gift from another world... a tear from the moon!

It has Feathery light kind of creaminess you'll get to beautiful florals notes. It is one of the most exquisite, elegant dainty floral delicately blends. its like melting naturally sweet floral dessert on my skin. I feel like if one of the floral note got amplified, the beautiful blend will be ruined. It changes my mood every time i wear it. I think it will make the bride look more ethereal and radiant if she wears it. The downside is it's price and longevity. I have to test them more. Please make a more affordable, better longevity version of it.

Such a gorgeous floral perfume. It’s very well blended and I can’t pick out one flower over the other. It’s delicate, has the perfect amount of sweetness from the florals. There is just a touch of powderiness. It’s a very feminine perfume and I always feel pretty when I wear this. Longevity and sillage are moderate, but for how airy and light it is, it performs surprisingly well. Every time I’ve worn this perfume I get compliments, it really is so very pretty.

This is an ethereal beautiful soft floral scent with very light citrus notes and a powdery feel. I agree with the previous reviews that it is not long lasting on my skin and does not have great silage beyond arms length; however I do find it to be potent for the first hour it is on. Definitely recommend a smell. Added this to my collection as I didn’t have any lily of the valley fragrances, and I also needed a new spring freshie.

I tried this at Gucci yesterday and from the scent pillow they had I got a delicate feminine cloud of powdery white linen in a light perfectly delicately blended way... "whoa, amazing" was my impression. I had to order it because they were out but I cant wait to get it. It could be a game changer which is why I forked over the 350 for it. To be contd.

Smooth and creamy white florals. Dreamy yet elegant at the same. This can be worn for any occasion. The subtle and delicate nature of this perfume requires multiple applications throughout the day. Smells best when applied on skin. 9/10.

It smells amazing. Really dewy and the right mixture of fresh and flowery. However it doesn’t last long and the price tag is just insane so I can’t justify buying it...

Unique and feminine scent. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too light and definitely overpriced.

I don't expect designer brands to stop making Peony fragrances, given that they sell exceptionally well. But I do hope that the perfumers try to present the note in a novel and refreshing setting. Gucci Tears From The Moon and Creed Wind Flowers are two recent releases from established brands, both prominently featuring Peony. The Creed plays it incredibly safe and does absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, delivering a floral, caramelized perfume laying on a gigantic base of coumarin. Typical pink floral. You've smelled it hundred times before; you know which scent I'm talking about. The Gucci however, does start somewhat disappointing, but as it dries down I discover a wonderful take on Peony. The contrast of a floral note with lily-of-the-valley reminds me a lot of Dior Lucky, but not as much "zesty" and more delicate. What I LOVE about Tears From The Moon is that I smell next to no sweetness in it. Sure the peony itself does have a sweet accent, but it comes off in a totally natural and floral manner instead of a sucrose-type sweetness that I'm not really fond of. As far as relation to the moon goes, I'd say this resembles a waltz under the moon: peaceful and elegant but still with some energy, rather than a quiet alone stroll or romantic dinner under the moon which are more melancholic and mellow respectively.

This one from this line stand out to me maybe because of it simpleness, has a very sweet light floral scent, but it kinda nostagic in a way that makes me think about that one time I went to a picnic to watch the night stars in the cold forest that I didn't have. Anyway in a more simple term I think it's simple, skin scent, blooming flowers, good for everyday wear, suitable for those that want a soft, leaning feminine sweet light floral scent. But would not buy full bottle because of the price

Despite the beautiful bottle and name of this perfume, this is not in any way celestial or emulating "tears from the moon" in my opinion. It is a beautiful light peony rose fragrance with very subtle clean soap like nuances. There is something slightly watery about it. It's light, pretty, and feminine. I don't think it was at all worth the price because it's expensive as heck. I bought it on sale and tried a bit before eventually returning it that month.

the name does not match the smell. this is a rich, soapy, almost syrupy feminine floral. very “fresh out the shower” as someone said below. it’s a basic shampoo scent and may be too sweet for some, but I think it smells great and most men would love this on a woman.

Starts off pretty generic and messy Drys down to such a boring fruity floral something in the same family as irresistible givenchy and Attrape-Rêves LV Im a big fan of muguet an I absolutely don’t get any Its not bad but the price point is unbelievably ridiculous
