Aqua Allegoria Lys Soleia

If I should be portrayed with a picture how Lys Soleia smells exactly on my skin, I so I would do...: This perfume like a glinting sunlight in a golden honey drop what is sitting on a blooming lily petal. This perfume is instantly captured and bottled sunlight.:) Lys Soleia is a beautiful and sprightly perfume. I'd call it diffusive and luxurious. So far,- next to Flora Nymphea-, this blend is another well-made and highly enjoyable floral scent from the Aqua Allegoria line.Currently two lily-based summer fragrance I have in my collection, one is Lys Soleia ( I just love the name:), another is Baiser Volé by Cartier,-and I really love them both!:) Lys Soleia is a realistic image of the sun drenched flower, it's a breezy white floral perfume with tropical facets. The scent very green and crisp during the opening but as it dries down it stays focused on the lily. The tropical flowers give a spicy edge to the breezy medley.The main chord is a sunkissed,creamy, honeyed lily smell-unexpectedly exotic and "gold-smelling".Before the whole thing settles down to a musky velvet, vanilla gives a spiky quality to the balanced sweetness. Lys Soleia is a remarkable and memorable fragrance, contrary to many white floral perfumes on the market nowadays. Is it true that this perfume intented for summer wear,I still would say this scent is could be too overpowering and headache-causing in hot weather.So I recommend to apply moderate or use it on the cooler summer days. I think, Lys Soleia takes a little more than I expected from a lily-based fragrance.It turned to be my new summer favorit, and on those cloudy days when I need a big dose of sunlight, definitely this perfume is that I firstly reached for. Aqua Allegoria Lys Soleia is a piece of art, a sunkissed, beautiful still life.

Update: GLORIOUS! Too beautiful for words. The heat here is quite hot with some humidity, and this perfume is thriving in these conditions. It doesn't smell like bananas anymore, just an incredibly gorgeous sweet floral. LOVE!!! Worth every penny and possibly the best feminine, summer fragrance I've smelled. Where most everything I own is a turn off in this heat (besides Juniper Sling and a few things that "will do") AA OWNS it! 2nd update-- Lemon! This perfume is amazing! I realize something different each time I wear it, through its various phases and depending on so many other factors--all sooo pretty. I asked my son, and he said, "Mmm," and "I would love for my gf to wear that." So two generations, right there! Going for a full bottle ASAP! ***Just layered one spritz Classique over a couple spritzes AA-- ooh la la! This goes to show you different conditions make a huge difference, so try things more than once! Previous thoughts: Banana Cream Pie. I get the lily of the valley, but it reminds me so much of a banana cream pie, it's uncanny-- the opening. It's not something you'll smell everywhere you go. Right now, I don't know what to think about it. I'll have to revisit it later, but at the moment, it feels too nicey-nice for my taste. That's Lily of the Valley, anyway-- pure and virginal (hence Christ being called by this flower). A beautiful flower, I'm probably too brash to wear it. Mmmm... but this drydown! Heavenly! I might manage to tuck away my skank scents long enough to give this beauty a go. :) Come to think of it, this might be the perfect fragrance to wear when meeting a prospective suitor's parents the first time!

Ohhh! I smell sooooo good!! Lys Soleil has been on my radar for such a long time. When I found a new bottle for sale at a great price, I immediately pounced even though I never tried it before. It is unquestionably my favorite summer "beach" scent of all time. Creamy and lush but never overbearing, the combination of lily and ylang with a touch of tropical fruit is evocative of the experience of visiting a tropical resort, but doesn't beat you over the head, screaming "beach vacation in a bottle". I see similarities with Terracotta, but find it has more in common with another favorite of mine, Annick Goutal "Songes". I love Songes, but actually prefer Lys. It smells smoother to me. No rough edges, everything blended well. It manages to be both slightly heady and yet light at the same time. This is my 6th full bottle AA (I have a mini Pampelune as well), and my favorite. Do not expect great longevity - it is an AA after all - but I have no problem respraying. I'll decant some in a small atomizer to reapply on the go. It's projection and silage are light but noticeable for about the first hour or two, then it becomes a skin scent. My only regret is that the summer is winding down and I won't be able to wear it much longer. However, there's always next year, and it's comforting to know that in the cold dark days of winter, I can spray some on, close my eyes, and mentally visit Bora Bora whenever I want! PS - I forgot to mention the light spiciness that emerges in the mid notes which I totally attribute to the gorgeous lily! I am swooning!

Finally saw Lys Soleia in a perfume store today. I instantly went to try it on a mouillette and exited the store while inhaling my first impressions of the scent. Lys Soleia is warm, very warm. As if you were wearing a tropical paradise on your skin. I immediately knew the scent reminded me of something but I couldn't place my finger on it right then. It wasn't until I left the shopping center that I finally got it: The scent of Lys Soleia reminded me of The Body Shop's legendary Monoi de Tahiti oil. In addition, it reminded me slightly of honey and tropical fruit. On my way back home, I just had to return to the store and spray some of Lys Soleia on my skin. It smells almost the same - maybe even a little richer - on my wrists (compared to the mouillette). About an hour and a half in, the scent is still very noticable. On the mouillette, however, the scent isn't that strong anymore after about 3.5 hours since the spray. It's still noticable but a lot less strong as in the beginning. Of course, since this is an EDT, I'm not expecting a lot when it comes to longevity. I had a friend with me and she described Lys Soleia as "smelling a lot like summer". I believe this is the thought a lot of people get when they smell Lys Soleia. I'm still not sure whether I'll be buying this AA (especially since I can just moisturize my skin with TBS's Monoi de Tahiti oil and smell almost identical, just milder) but it's definitely a good one. Even though I'm a fan of the AA scents, I wasn't expecting Lys Soleia to be this good.

WI am finally ready to profess my love, loud and clear! I. Love. Lys. Soleia! It is yellow. Pure unadulterated yellow. Lily to the max and I love it so! As others have said, it's like sunshine in a bottle. I'd feel totally comfortable wearing this all four seasons because it is both deep and light at the same time. I'd say it's like the rays of sunshine vs. the sun itself. It adds life to a dreary day and it plays off the light the sun shines down. To be fair, I often mix this with either pampelune or ylang and vanille, not because it can't stand alone but because it just gets along with everyone so well! Lily. Some ylang. A smidge of citrus. Airy musk. A dash of vanilla. I agree with others that the lily is slightly green and I believe that is what keeps this potion from becoming sickly sweet or cloying. It isn't the best in terms of longevity but that doesn't bother me because I enjoy spraying liberally. As far as sillage goes, I'd say it's arms length or even a little more. People compliment me and whenever I ask if it's too much, everyone says no. So spray away and enjoy heaven in a bottle. I know I will! Oh, before I go, does anyone know if this has been discontinued? If so, I must stock up now because I never want to be without my new summer signature juice. Thanks @Alex1984! You've provided me with a new twist to explore :-)

What a gorgeous tropical-floral fragrance! Rich creamy lilies, ylang and tuberose meld with a cool, fresh vanilla accord and just a pinch of bright tropical fruit. The palm leaf brings a refreshing greenness to the fragrance and blends seamlessly with the creamy florals. As someone who doesn’t usually enjoy tuberose, this combination of notes would normally run a high risk of turning bitter on me. Thankfully, this is a masterful blend of smooth florals and vanilla on my skin. Lys Soleia somehow manages to be light and airy at the same time that it is creamy, fleshy, and luxurious. It is sensuous in an understated way, with a delicate sweetness reminiscent of sun-warmed pollen. Wearing this fragrance is an uplifting experience that feels like breathing in a soft, cool breeze in a sunny tropical garden. There is definitely a kinship to the gorgeous Songes from Annick Goutal, but Lys Soleia is lighter, greener, and less sweet. Lys Soleia lasts reasonably well, considering its light, airy quality. After applying two sprays this morning, I was enveloped in a soft sillage for several hours. Having said that, you could also spray this more generously without it becoming heavy or cloying. This is my favourite Aqua Allegoria release to date - a beautiful and exotic floral that I will be wearing often this summer.

It is 7am and you step out onto your hotel balcony, somewhere in the Caribbean. Another day in paradise. Even though you slept with the AC on, the air steaming up from the lush gardens does not seem suffocating yet. A barely discernible breeze transports the sweet aromas from palmtrees and tropical flowers, that have been meticulously watered and tended to. You reach for a jug of water with lemon slices, take a sip, and visualize what the day might bring. A crisp white dress and some matching espadrilles are waiting for you - after that totally pointless morning shower (which at least it keeps you fresh until after breakfast coffee). Lys Soleia is the greens and flowers of a tropical island, captured just before they turn towards indolic in sweltering summer heat. It preserves that last moment of freshness before it all goes sweaty betty again. I will always associate this Guerlain with a holiday spent in Curacao, even though I bought Lys Soleia many years later. It is more of a "library" or reference fragrance for me, and the association brings some melancholy. I will probably sell my FB as I prefer sweeter tuberose frags for regular wear. Definitely a great find if you love tuberose and lilies, and are looking for a greenish tropical scent without sunscreen or coconut vibes.

I just received my first ever full bottle of this beauty today (it took some time for me to locate a good 100% authentic online buy) and I'm in heaven! This is definitely a summer scent for me, but I'm wearing this today - in the middle of the winter - and can't help but sniff my wrists all the time. Lys Soleia has that base that is so distinguishable for a variety of Guerlain's scents, that exact base that I love in my Guerlains. Lys Soleia is a warmer version of L'Instant and a slightly cooler version of Terracotta. A perfect combination of the two, just like katrinawhitney said before me, yet a beauty of it's own. And unlike many other Aqua Allegorias, this one is pretty powerful & longlasting. There is a beautiful combination of lily and ylang-ylang in this one with sweet and fruity notes carefully blended in. Just like a garden of exotic flowers in early morning summer sunshine. EDIT: I have to admit that the longer this scent stays on the skin the sweeter it becomes and for someone who is not that fond of a sweet lily explosion, this can definitely be too much. So, I do recommed testing this first before buying (even though I went with a blind buy, which was a success for me).

This one, along with Ylang & Vanille, is the best Aqua Allegoria to me. What a shame that they're both long discontinued. I'm not a huge fan of citruses, so maybe it's no surprise I like these sweet florals better, but on the other hand I can be a bit picky with my florals, so I didn't expect to love both so much. Lys Soleia is simply beautiful. It's not that much of a lily scent, more of a solar white floral vanilla. I do get lily, but the tuberose and ylang-ylang are stronger to my nose. All the flowers are very creamy, beachy and smooth, there is nothing sharp about them. They're beautifully blended into a bright and warm vanilla base, sweet but not too sugary. I really love the fruit accord in this. Some say it smells like bananas, which I would also love, but to me it smells more like honeydew melon ice cream. The milky kind. Or maybe melons with frozen whipped cream on top? Anyways, I find it magical in combination with the tropical, summery flowers. The scent feels rich and airy at the same time. I kind of regret that I waited ages to find a sample of this instead of blind-buying when it was still affordable online. Oh well.

I'd like to update my previous review, as the weather has changed and so has the fragrance. On a dry frosty day Lys Soleia offered no more irises for me but a well-rounded lily. It opened as a white lily scent, solemn and a bit tart, but gradually grew into the same summer sunshine glory as the other day, like a crispy summer morning turning into a bright warm day. The drydown was still fabulous. So was the fragrant cloud that stayed in the room where I sprayed it on myself. The subtle tender scent still coming from furniture and curtains vaguely reminded me of some white floral my mom had used back in the eighties for 'a night in the opera' occasion. No surprise I sprayed myself with Lys Soleia before going to the opera myself. Yet, it must have been too cold (precisely -20C) for the fragrance to work its magic and transform a winter evening into a summer morning. No more summer flowers this time for me, just spices and honey. A warm nice scent but it reminded me of gingerbreads and other spicy pastries I rather tend to dislike. Luckily, the frost subcided on the very morning and now I can revel in the golden lily cloud.

I fell in love with this fragrance yesterday, on a warm and humid winter morning. I had a heavy coat and a still heavier backpack on me. Yet, I felt like I had been dancing in a summer garden wearing a light floating dress. It started with a light wave so familiar I couldn't even say if I liked it or not, just that it was something of my very own past. It was like a tune from a far that you know long seconds before properly recognizing it. The feeling grew to the bridge of unbearable and I was already some time out of the shop when the realization hit me. I walked in a cloud of iris scent, not a sophisticated, elegant 'iris from the bottle' kind of scent but the true-to-life iris blossom from my mom's garden. It was the scent that launched me on an iris fragrance hunt some years ago. You stand on a garden path with your nose stuck into the wet petals of a newly blossomed iris. Each colour smells slightly different and you wish to prolong the scent for the days after the flowers are gone. By evening the fragrance grew more lily like and creamy but there was nothing amiss of its sunny loveliness.

I thought I had reviewed this one already, but I guess not. Lys Soleia is so delightful. She is not fresh, but she is not heavy either, just warm, pretty and floral. The lily/vanilla/tuberose combo hits you first and it is bright and bold. And there is something there that smells pleasantly warm and "dry". Like walking through a meadow at noon on a hot summer day. You smell flowers but you also smell the hot ground beneath your feet and the dry grass as it brushes past you. To me it smells like midsummer, walking barefoot through the fields on my grandpas ranch. Dry grass, scratching my feet and legs, grasshoppers taking flight all around us, as my brothers and I ramble down the hill to the creek so we could cool off. It takes me to a place emotionally that I love so dearly that I'm not sure I could ever be without it. I can't wear it everyday, but when I am homesick or just sick of winter, I can bring those memories right back. The dry down is just sweet vanilla and so comforting. What a lovely gem! I am surprised to see tropical fruits listed because I don't smell anything remotely fruity.

warm, spicy, seductive—a warm moonlit night in an Oriental garden, the air still heavy w/the perfume of lilies that have long since gone to sleep I totally surprised myself by falling head over heels w/the smooth creaminess of this beautiful fragrance in Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria collection. while Lys Soleia is classified as a fruity floral, on my skin it’s very floriental—exotic and slightly wild; no fruitiness whatsoever. I love florals, but I tend to avoid orientals and even florientals as they generally don’t work w/my body chemistry, so I’m beyond delighted that this one does <3 the lily, ylang, and vanilla are the most obvious notes on me, w/a somewhat linear drydown that reveals hints of musk. I usually don't care for vanilla, but this is subtle and elegant, not the artificial olfactory assault of some vanillas sillage is good for ~4+ hours on me, then it softens to more of a skin scent w/8+ hours longevity. I wear this in both daytime and nighttime, as it works well for both on me; but I can’t bring myself to wear it beyond September, and it stays tucked away until June (darn OCD)

At first it smells perfectly lily as it’s easy to imagine petals and pollen. It starts greenly like even men can use, but that is only for short time. The sweetness of gardenia, ylang ylang and fruits (I think lily + fruits feels like tiare) comes out and vanilla will smell as often. Nevertheless, because the contrast of lily white and green is still in the base, it's kept in refinedness, a beautiful fragrance all the way to the end. Changes in lily scent are fun, that is like changes from lily which bloomed in the flower bed outside to the lily scent in the vase in a room. Besides a fruit-like part, I don't feel much of the elements of "Soleil", rather quiet and dark, relaxing image. I feel it's more like the bedroom suits better than under the sun. I like this kind of sweetness very much because it is like I'm in a closed botanical garden with transparent honey laziness. It is not sweetness of the gourmand, and it is completely different from the floral vanilla like other typical perfumes. I bought this for spring, but I would like to use it in summer and winter as well.

Second test: I had this one in my swaplist but I decided to give it a chance, based on the reviewers. The first test of Lys Soleia was a disaster and I didn't like it at all". What I smelled was strong blast of green flowers with banana tree leaves. Today I decided to test it again. Yep banana tree leaves at first but after some minutes it begin to soften a bit and now I smell almost sweet flowers. I don't smell tuberese yet and I hope it stays this way. This lily is not the same as in Baiser Vole line. Here is the lily greener somehow, fresh cut and tropical. How could I have been so wrong about this scent? Ja, that's is Guerlain, one more scent of this house you must get used to before you fall in love with. I'll keep it till the summer, I think it will be lovely then. Spring is coming and outside is a perfect Sunny and cold day to take a walk. Under 4 degrees is Lys Soleia a wonderful scent, it is just perfect with wafts of semi sweet lily. It reminds Lys 41 Le Labo but fresher, more wearable and affordable. It was from hate to like but now it is in my love list.

This is interesting. Definitely a beachy scent. (A beachy Guerlain? Sounds funny!) Starts with a fresh airy lily- but that's just the first impression. After 15' or so it has been transformed to a gorgeous full bloom creamy ylang ylang. The lily is still present but more subtle and an interesting ''green'' note comes through. As time goes by, it becomes even more thick, creamy and sweet (more pronounced vanilla- ylang ylang and a hint of musk) Most summer scents are refreshing, but not this (except the very top notes) It's creamy and warm but not in a foody way of course. Makes me think of skin heated from the sun and sunscreen, calming composition indeed. I don't know why, but it brings to my mind the quiet, lazy summer noons of my childhood... Lys Soleia is easy to wear. It has a fattiness to it that rounds out the flower, abating any stridency. At the same time, it's very dry, almost dusty or sandy (but decidedly not powdery as we've come to know it). The name is appropriate, it does somehow smell sun-baked, like cracked mud or a sand dune. The flower itself is a little nondescript, but its color is off-white and bends in the direction of lilies. The overall effect is something not far off from some suntan lotions I have smelled, though without even a trace of the medicinal underbelly that those can have. It's uncomplicated, though, like most in the Aqua Allegoria range. Strictly linear, it holds strong and true for a surprisingly long time, at least six hours. It's a bit of a skin scent in the latter half but I promise this effect is a good one, clear and radiant as opposed to something you have to struggle to detect. Really a great example of what the Aqua Allegoria range is about.

I received this is a wonderful swap and feel I must review it even though I have only worn it twice so far. Lys Soleia must, MUST be tested on skin. I tried it on paper first and it smelled totally different than how it smells when worn on my body, which is not true of all the perfumes I own. On my skin, the non-sweet lemon opening is there but minimal, leading to a bright, sweet and clean floral with a milky green stems/green banana facet. Vanilla emerges in the drydown with the melon-like ylang and tuberose persisting in addition to the lily. I get 2/3 lily, 1/3 ylang-tuberose blend. People compare this to Songes but I would say that Lys is the day version, and Songes is for night, as Songes is more powdery, slightly more old fashioned, more heady, jasmine-centric and a little dirty. Lys is brighter, lighter, and juicier. They're both outstanding tropical florals in addition to being proper perfumes with distinct openings, middles, and ends.

Now here is something unique and something I could use in my collection, too bad it is discontinued. This is a softly green solar floral beauty. It literally smells like sunshine to me. Warm, soft yellow light from a kind and gently warm sun shines down on you as you stroll through a tropical garden filled w/ palm trees, ylang, and all manner of white florals. The sweetness of nature touches your heart, mind and soul. Any woman wearing this perfume will feel like a youthful beauty no matter her age. It is the scent of youth, beauty, this tropical perfume made for sweet dreams. Wear this to bed while playing an ocean cd softly in the background and you would feel like you were there for real. This is a beautifully done tropical floral perfume. Why in God's name would Guerlain discontinue this beauty? What a shame. I would pay a good price for this. I keep smelling my hand and I cannot get enough. It smells like Beauty itself.

Lys Soleia from Guerlain, another Aqua Allegoria line masterpiece! Although I'm very religious regarding wearing my perfumes according to seasons, ( only a few are in a whole year rotation) and at first sniff I would clasify this scent as a late spring, summer scent, I really love the lily aroma in the colder season, especially during autumn. The ylang ylang ads a tropical vibe, In fact I wore it a lot last summer during holiday evenings. It's warm and rich with a hint of freshness due to the citrus top notes, which makes it very suitable for both warm and cold seasons. I also find it very elegant, when I wear it I feel the need to accessorise it with some beautiful vintage jewelry. Very happy to have this beautiful scent in my collection! Forgot to mention, I wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy, it's quite strong, I dare to say a love or hate scent, I happen to love it and a little bit goes a long way!

My signature scent, the most beautifully crafted perfume I've ever had the pleasure of owning. I need guerlain to bring this back forever and ever. I want this scent in my shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions, creams, room scent, car scent, laundry soap; I NEED THIS SMELL TO BE EVERYWHERE IN MY LIFE. I literally can't get enough of it. The smell is white flowers, solar rays, fresh creamy palm leaves. Makes me think of being on the most beautiful tropical island you could imagine, without having a sunscreen smell at all. If anyone is getting rid of their bottle i will buy it from you, pm me i will pay for shipping. I literally don't care how much it costs, this is a perfume i cannot live without. Guerlain, if any of your staff ever read this, please, please i am on my knees begging you to please bring this back. 100/10 I love this perfume more than any other.

Lys Soleia wears so differently in warm weather than it does in cold. This was a blind buy this past February and was a big disappointment. I couldn't figure out what all the positive reviews were about. I tried it several times and it was so dull and flat on me. As the weather is turning slightly warmer, I tried this again to see how it will wear and I am so happy I didn't give this away! I'm finally getting the beautiful, creamy, sweet floral I've been reading about. The cold, flat lily that had me convinced I didn't like lily scents had transformed into this lush, buttery, sweet floral, and the ylang and vanilla finally made an appearance. I'm so glad I have this. Update: 7 hours later and it's still here :-) The fresh lily and bright citrus are gone and what’s left is the impression of the silkiest ylang-scented vanilla custard with traces of lily on top.

IN LOVE! Ladies and gent this is the perfect demo of well-blended white and yellow floral. Lys Soleia smells like coziness in a bottle with fresh lily note and well-disguised ylang-ylang. When that extra touch of creamy vanilla kicks in at around an hour... ahhhhhhh! I can use this day and night, sitting at home or hanging out with gal pals, or even on a date! Approachable, versatile, creamy, transparent, and a little bit tropical. This is everything I wanted my AA Ylang and Vanille to be. For folks that are chasing after that 1999 smell, you really aren't missing much, if not spoiled by an even better option! This has got to be one of the two most successful blind buys I made. I have a 4.2 oz bottle but I'll grab another one online since this is being discontinued. Oh! And I just started to smell musky tuberose after 2 hours of wear and it's also lovely :)

Oh Lys Soleil! You are such a frustrating fragrance for me!! I adore it and yet it just seems to vanish so quickly no matter how much I spray on. People can not smell it on me so I know it's not anosmia. My skin seems to go through cycles where fragrances seem to have decent longevity, silage, and projection, only to turn around and have my skin devour them no matter what I do to try and amplify and extend the experience. My review below will attest to my initial impression and love for the scent. It's just that I am wearing it today and getting nothing. I know AA's are supposed to be light and refreshing, but come on - your dealing with heady, tropical flowers here! Perhaps it shouldn't be part of the AA line. Nevertheless, it's still a beauty, and I really can't fault Guerlain for the fact that my skin just doesn't cooperate.

This was the first fragrance I bought after 5 years of not wearing perfume. It took all of 5 minutes to convince me at the duty free. I was a complete newbie then and it could have gone wrong, but no - it turned out to be an excellent purchase. The notes on here are very representative of the scent - lily, ylang, vanilla, so I'll talk in terms of impressions instead: Lys Soleia feels warm and golden and bright. Even though it is creamy, there is a certain spiciness. It's very easy to wear really and appropriate for all hours. It's perfect for summer, while I think that cooler weather kills it. Longevity is around 4-5 hours but I still get tiny wafts around 8 hours in. Sillage is average. All in all, I find it very alluring, so I always wear it on my birthday, when I know everybody will be hugging me - lol!

This is a truly wonderful scent. It opens with a blast of lily, ylan and some sweet tropical fruit. Most of the time I sense no citrus at all, sometimes a soft lemon. The floral remains and the fruit becomes a very realistic and not so ripe pawpaw/papaya. Later, there's a hint of coconut and Lys Soleia gets a bit smoky. Soon tuberouse and vanilla come in and the Guerlain effect is at its best. At first I get a L'Heure Bleue feeling, but by now it is all about Guerlain vanilla, so characteristic, so Guerlainish. Everything is veru ballanced out, no sharp corner left. Only a silky smooth floral that lasts quite long on me. For me Lys Soleia should be a unissex scent. It's very clean and elegant, at the same time. Comfortable. Luminous. Summer. Guerlain.

I adore this fragrance! A lush, sweet floral with plenty of lily and ylang. As many others have commented, it works nicely in summer. However, although it isn't listed in the notes, I get a strong clove kick, which for me makes this a perfect winter scent. The creamy, rich spice and sweetness reminds me of eggnogg! I love this on a freezing cold winter day, to invoke summer. Sillage is good but longevity could be better. Dies down fairly quickly to a pale vanilla. I'm interested to try some of the layering suggestions here. I love the look of a few Aqua Allegoria bottles side-by-side, and this juice in particular is a lovely golden tone which looks great adorned with the gold cap and 'collar'.

I just purchased this as a gift for my mother because she loves white florals and Guerlain is one of the most reliable names in perfume (I'm yet to smell a Guerlain perfume that isn't interesting or delightful). She bought me Flora Nymphea for my birthday recently and we both adore it so I decided to get her another from the Aqua Allegoria collection. I can definitely smell the lily, vanilla and tuberose in this, which is a really delightful, creamy combination. It's very summery because of the florals and the lingering citrus, but I find the creaminess would work well over winter too. Lys Soleia is absolutely gorgeous. If you can get your hands on it, definitely give it a go.

Amazing. Creamy, gorgeous, and smells like sunshine. I have to restrain myself from getting more than one bottle (I rarely go through a whole bottle of perfume) out of some wild fear that Guerlain will stop making it. I also reach for it less often than I want to for that reason - it honestly smells like sun on white florals, and is probably the first perfume to make me understand how beautiful lilies can smell. There's something sweetly vanillic underneath it all too, but not in a sickly way - just enough to add warmth. It smells like an illusion of golden, sun-warmed skin. Ughhh I might have to get another bottle just so I can spray with abandon this summer.

On my (endless) quest for new products and spring-time inspiration, I came across this "Zenith" of a summer fragrance. If Jil Sander "Sun" smells of late PM sun and/or sunset, this one is the mid AM to noon one and it just "glistens"! Very 'tolerable' use of tuberose that very often is just too much for me, but here just blends beautifully among the ylang-ylang, musk and vanilla concotion with the added tropical touch of palm leaf, white lilly and exotic fruits. Thiery Wasser is a genius and one of the best noses around today. BTW I find "Lys Mediterranee" by Frederic Malle is the male summer scent counterpart to this.

This perfume is really wonderful and plays with my senses. It's like sticking your nose down into a lily. Really! Then, as you lift your face from the lily, a little warm breeze carries over a whiff of sweet mint and it all swirls together smoothly. I know the notes don't include mint, so I don't know what seems minty in this- maybe palm leaf? Oh well. Rarely does a perfume give me an experience rather than a direct scent. Kind of magical. Very unique. When I try to smell it I can't...Then when I forget and move on to some other thought, the lily/sweet minty breeze swirls around me again. Very fun!

One of my favorite perfumes. A delicate white lily, surrounded by smooth ylang-ylang, palm leaf-which I imagine as a very subtle green, vanilla and a hint of fruits & florals. I don't detect tuberose and the citrus is there only to add brightness but the lily is the protagonist. I agree with other reviewers on the sun-warmed skin feel, though I'd wear it any time of the yr. Longevity on me is about 4 hrs. I just reapply after that. It does't project too much, which I like. @Sindri - yes! so like "sunlight in winter," and smelling it makes me happy, like sunlight on skin.

A tropical "green" fragrance, but definitely a warm green. Like the previous review says I am not the biggest fan of lily either but here it is just to balance the sweetness of vanilla and tuberose. Lys Soleia to me smells like a late morning, a sunny day in the caribbean or somewhere else pretty tropical. The lasting power isn't the greatest but maybe that's because I tend to reach for this on hot summer days! After 10 mins or so the lily disappears and it smells just like a lush tropical garden or greenhouse, banana included.

@Hipchick40: it's complicated with the Aqua Alegorias; they come and go with little fanfare. I heard it's been discontinued, but then again it's widely available in some places. In Spain for instance it's easily found, along Jasminora and Nerolia Bianca which are also rumored discontinued. My advice is stock up all you can because sooner or later it'll be gone. If Terracotta is available near you give it a try, as a similar alternative. Also, if circumstances permit, Le Labo Lys 41 is a very good albeit more expensive choice.

It is a masterpiece and I'm so glad I purchased a full bottle 10 years ago (I rarely buy full bottles). It's the most beautifully blended tropical, creamy yellow floral scent, balanced with freshness, dewiness and greenness of lilly, citruses, and palm tree. It reminds me of a time when I stepped into a flower shop full of fragrant, dewy lilies - it smells natural. I have dozens of fragrances but I keep reaching for it in summer. I can't get enough of it - it's mesmerizing. Nothing comes close. ❤️

This is a lovely, makes-me-want-to-take-a-vacation scent. Lily is of course forward in this composition but for an EDT, quite long lasting on me at 2 hours before turning to a skin scent. I do detect the vanilla but it's there lightly. With the addition of neroli and fruit notes, it means the vacation I'm on is in Hawaii or another tropical island. Looking forward to see how this projects in warmer weather. Edit: awesome Spring scent! It doesn't last long but no complaints. Stunning!

Soheepark, I'd give this about 5 hours longevity. Maybe a bit more? I have worn this so often I am finding it hard to really know. But it is soooooo worth it because the scent truly is gorgeous. I reapply once before evening. Sometimes though, if I spray it before bed, I notice it quite clearly in the morning still. Maybe it's because I don't move around much while sleeping? In any case, there are relatively inexpensive bottles on line. I'd go for it if I was you!

No pun intended, but Lys Soleia truly blooms in the heat. The opening is warm lily and creamy ylang-ylang which instantly evoke thoughts of sunny tropical days. There's a tiny bit of greenness to give it some freshness. As it dries down it becomes sweeter due to the classic Guerlain vanilla. This is "heavier" than the typical Aqua Allegoria, yet it is never oppressive or cloying. This is such a beauty and one of my absolute summertime favorites.

This fragrance is everything that I wanted Orchid Soleil to be. To me, it smells very similar but is much less cloying, yet still a dense, puffy, tropical suntan lotion effect, with a beautiful lily at the forefront. I can only enjoy these types of sweet suntan scents on hot days. It really reminds me of tanning at a beach or pool. A very sunshiny and joyful, elegant fragrance. Lasting power is great!

Tropical drink with a lily instead of umbrella cocktail sticks! This one makes me feel like being on holiday. Sun, tropical fruit, white flowers. Really sunny and fun composition. It's very sweet but not sickly sweet or sticky. I mainly detect lily and some sweetness that probably comes from the fruit and vanilla. No citrus whatsoever. In the drydown I also sense slightly musky undertone. *****

I am buying a (more??) back up when I finish this review! Whenever I can I fill the house with lilies, of every kind.Anyone who loves them will know the "after dark" smell they have that is almost narcotic.This is it! I almost swooned (nice ladylike saying) when I applied it, that fresh/but green/but creamy/ but sexy enveloping perfume...LOVE,LOVE,LOVE.

I just discovered this today, and it's beautiful! Don't be put off by the lilies - I'm not a huge fan of lily notes but the lily in this recedes after the first 10 minutes and gives way to a sweet BANANA note!! (On me anyway, my lovely local Guerlain lady agreed!) I got this on sale as it's been discontinued..... get yours quick!

Fresh and rich at the same time. I'm in love! I've always wanted a stargazer lily smell to wear, and here it is finally! I'm testing on a cold day and it's amazing though I suspect it will be more glorious in warm weather. So far, I adore the Aqua Allegoria perfumes I've bought. The prices are good and the quality is excellent.

One of the most beautiful fruity florals eve made. The tuberose is not dominant and is the slightly mentholated type, the lily shines in a duet with the ylang ylang. I am so glad they added palm leaf and lily and no coconut. Very classy, sexy at the same time, and fresh. And smooth and sharp. And everything. Looove it.

One of my favs in Guerlain. But it was a limited edition. Again only if the sales go through the roof they make it a regular assortment. and that goes for every brand. I have the benefit of knowing when they are limiteds or if they are going to be discontinued. SO if its something i truly love I stock up on it.

If you miss that scent, try: Aqua Allegoria Forte Bosca Vanilla Guerlain, almost (imho) the same. Solar core is the same. Well, good that at least Guerlain decided to keep formula and sell it once again 😁 i love lys soleila, I still have full bottle of it 🌞

I have found my perfect dry sweet Easter lily; perfection. It starts out a sweeter yet dry lily with a hint of fruit and ylang but as it dries down it get drier and all about the Easter lily with some light musk to support. I detect NO vanilla in this.

Not the type of scent i normally seek, but when i first tried , it immediately captivated me. It is so comforting, takes me to a blissful, happy place filled with sunshine. Quite sweet and girly but in a magical way. My first guerlain.

Divine white bouquet of Casablanca lilies with a hint of vanilla in the background, this fragrance lasts for hours on me. It has been one of my favourite summer perfumes this year, plus I love love the Aqua Allegoria bottles.

Beautiful!!!! I'm delighted! Fantastic! Real pleasure. Light like falling petals, filling your lungs with life. The first breath from spring, real happyness. Absolutly natural, not overdone, comes from the heart of flowers.
