Cherry Oud

Whoa, this is a wild ride. The plasticky cherry in the opening is the principal point of interest but it changes quite quickly in the start of the drydown to a deeper, more redolent of cough syrup note that lacks any kind of sweetness. What you are left with is a rubbery, latex smell that is on its own not appealing in the slightest. It is a huge, powerful fragrance that needs to be treated with great care and that isnt very enjoyable until it dries down fully. This doesnt happen instantaneously, and takes around half an hour to fully take effect. Once it dries down, you get a leathery, oudy base that carries the fruity accords in the latter stages, and where we see the blessed sweetness of the rose floral notes for the first time. Here it does at last start to behave itself and come to heel. This is a blind buy I am torn on. I like it, but as of today I'm not sure why I'd ever wear it over any of my others in my collection. The latex note carries from top to bottom here and never fully leaves in the drydown and I wish it would as it makes this smell more synthetic and harsh than it needs to be. I should write it off as no good but weirdly it has this call in the drydown that makes me want to keep it. I don't know why. This is the first fragrance Ive ever come across that I like and dislike in equal measure for different things, but that has an addictive nature that makes it hard to put aside. It has an unusual appeal in that you want to keep sniffing yourself because you dont like it, but also because you do. Don't expect juicy sweet cherry here. I think it is "oud with cherry notes" rather than "cherry with oud accords" as the cherry is quite subtle and is never anything more than dark and a little sinister. I can imagine DC villains wearing this. I wonder if it will grow on me after a couple of wears and some months of maceration, let's see. Leather and woods with a funny, and yes, also medicinal, cherry twist!! It’s not the fault of cherry scented products that cough syrup manufacturers chose that flavor for their medicines decades ago, and that now, every person around the globe can find cherry scented products reminiscent of medicine... it’s just a fact of life I guess... the same happens with cherry sodas, I love Cherry Coke, others swear Dr Pepper is much better, and yet, people who hate the flavor say that both taste like cough syrup... and that’s just fine... thankfully, there are different flavors, or in this case, different scents, so that everyone can find what they truly like. And I do like cherry!!! So I love this perfume!! It’s a perfect match of syrupy Cherry, lovely Leather, and a very clean and woodsy Oud. By the way, the cherry is nowhere near the cherry accord from Tom Ford, while that one is sparklier and clearer, the one contained in this perfume is darker and more mature... on the contrary, the leather does bear a big similarity to the very successful, and very lovely, Tom Ford accord. Just so you can picture this perfume in your mind, it’s like Ombré Leather with a dark cherry accord on top. (A lot of dark cherry) The rose and the fruity notes I don’t quite get, I imagine they are very well blended. It’s completely unisex, regardless of leather and woods usually being associated with men, this perfume is so fun and mysterious that any women who wears it would smell amazing. Being so dark, it’s much better suited for cold or mild weather. Regarding the name... Cherry Leather would be a much more accurate moniker. Projection is moderate, with good sillage, and longevity of over 10+ hours. A delicious cherry, leather and woods perfume!!

I tread carefully with any oud scent, as I find the note to be very powerful and myself to feel overwhelmed by it easily. I'm assuming my nose is too inexperienced with it. It definitely is a scent that I prefer on a man under most circumstances. So, when testing Cherry Oud, even though I love almost everything Guerlain produces, I spritzed it on the back of my hand once. While still wet a slightly medicinal note wafted up from my hand, so I waited for the drydown. What I got was a sweet cherry (not overbearingly sweet, mind you) and very soft rose anchored by a velvety, warm woody base. A cherry turned serious. Oud turned playful. A beautiful harmony. Encouraged by this experience, I put more of the fragrance behind my ears, on my writsts and one spritz underneath my pullover. I found myself sniffing my hand continuously - couldn't get enough of the smooth, creamy, fruity, slightly floral mix of notes. Were I to guess, I would have said there's sandalwood in it, too, which isn't listed. It does have this fine quality, the tender and velvety feel, though. After a while, the cherry gets weaker and eventually completely fades from my skin. What remains are the warm wood and slight rose petal scent, a certain sweetness, but not sugary - just beautiful. Very cozy and elegant. I tried this a couple of times and each time was enchanted by Cherry Oud's beauty. After a couple hours, if I don't respray, I like putting on a different scent and find this fragrance to be a beautiful base for that, adding depth. From the L'Art et la Matière series, this is among the ones I like the most. Others would be Musc Outreblank, Rose Chérie and Angélique Noire.

If I had to describe Cherry Oud in one word, it would be DIVINE. My fiancé and I were just going to buy a couple of lipsticks, but the SA showed us this perfume, and HE actually insisted on getting this one for me - that's how much he liked it! This is a sexy yet elegant fragrance. You get a juicy dark cherry in the opening, and then it evolves into a luscious, warm and woody vanilla. This has now become a staple in my collection, and I feel so luxurious and seductive every time I wear it! The price point is heavy; still, you only need a few spritzes to smell great for hours! Even after showering, the oud note lingers on me. A warning comes with this review, though: this is one of those fragrances that you cannot really perceive on yourself throughout the day, but other people definitely do, so be careful when re applying as it may be too much. Sillage is great, and longevity is amazing (more than 6 hours for sure). Considering the price point, do you absolutely need this? Not at all. Can you splurge on something that is great quality and unique? I'd say go ahead. My advice would be to buy directly from Guerlain stores, as getting a perfume from their private collection is a great experience: you can customise the bottle's lid, ribbon, and you algo get engraving for free. Packaging is great, and they give you lots of samples and cute little gifts (they gave me a sleep mask, a pouch, and a skincare headband). Would totally recommend!

It is a shame that this fragrance is so ridiculously expensive because this is such a great fragrance. Cherry Oud is, as far as I know so far, the only fragrance to combine leather, cherry, and oud. Guerlain did an amazing job with this scent. Although I enjoy the scent, I do not find it worth the price, even with the bottle engraving, customizable caps, and high quality of the fragrance. $700 odd Singapore dollars is not worth the price. The longevity on this, although I did not try it on skin, could be well over 10 hours, I could even see it going up to 12 hours. This blend is seductive, and masculine, perfect for date nights, and formal events. I would personally wear this to a millionaires only masquerade party, since I'd have to be a millionaire to afford this. For an alternative, I think Tom Ford Cherry Smoke, although not similar, would give off the same effect, for $300 odd Singapore dollars less. Guerlain's mainstream line also provides an alternative to a cherry fragrance, with L'homme Ideal Extreme, if you're able to find it. Overall this fragrance is a great date night, anf formal scent, but is way overpriced in my opinion. Solely a Wintertime, or Autumn fragrance

Cherry Oud Cherry Leather Cherry Leatheroud So ... I'll start by saying what, in my opinion, this marvel is not. "Cherry Oud" is not a gourmand cherry, it is not sugary or flowery, it is not cloying or citrusy, it is not in alcohol but above all it is not just oud, "Cherry Oud" is also leather, and it is in the same, identical measure. And it is, probably, the first cherry that I truly feel like defining as unisex because oud and leather embrace it, showing a new and different face from the magnificent Pazzaglia and Ford, or from the exceptional "Cherry Punk" (whose leather totally takes over the cherry, almost forcing it to retreat). Here cherry, oud and leather chase each other without ever prevailing and the fruity notes, together with the roses, become the "trait d'union" that gives the fragrance that touch of a thousand and one nights that I personally adore. For me it is an absolute olfactory masterpiece.

I've been on a big oud kick lately. I took a vacation for the first time in years last week, and went to the fancy mall that's a few hours away, to try fragrances. I got to try so many amazing fragrances, that I had never even seen in person before. One of the ones I really wanted was Guerlain Cherry Oud. I was trying to take notes and not decide in a hurry, so I don't spend all of my money on fragrances. I tried to buy a bottle of Cherry Oud immediately. The only reason I didn't get it was they didn't have it in stock. I ended up buying a bottle of Roja Sweetie Aoud, but I loved Cherry Oud and Montale Oudmazing and a few others, like Xerjoff Alexandria II and Bond No 9 Nomad. I had just bought a bottle of Louis Vuitton Myriad last week too. I love oud, especially combined with sweet scents. It's been really fun to see my fragrance collection grow, since I got into this hobby about six months ago.

Oud and rose is a combination that’s not in short supply in the fragrance world. I’ve personally been looking for just the right product with that scent profile to add to my collection. During some recent travels I had the opportunity to test out Cherry Oud. And, Readers ... we have a winner! Overall, Cherry Oud offers up that classic oud/rose combination. However, it gives the classic a twist with the addition of the cherry note. While others (based on reviews here) seem to not have much luck picking out the cherry, I have no such issue. On my skin, the fruitiness of the cherry adds an uplifting quality to the fragrance. Oud and rose tend to feel heavy, dark, and thick of my skin. While that’s still somewhat true of Cherry Oud, that cherry note adds a welcome touch of sweet tartness to the mix that really helps Cherry Oud stand out amongst its peers.

I think this is a straight unisex frag. The oud and leather add masculinity to what would be a lightly fem leaning cherry and rose top. It's very good on skin, extremely classy, and the cherry note will remind you a bit of lhomme ideal edp but that's it. The quality difference is apparent, and I own and love the ideal edp. This one really impresses the more you wear it. Definitely more of a dressy profile, but able to be worn in business casual situations as well. UPDATE: This really grows on you. It's simple, but beautifully blended. Performance is wonderful. I cannot understand people saying they can't find cherry in this. The cherry is rich and realistic and almost syruped = but not too sweet. Maybe other cherry notes in fragrances are sweeter and more synthetic/candylike? This is a cherry heavy rose and oud scent. Eminently classy and upscale.

Cherry Oud? More like powder Cherry Oud. Guerlain has been one of the houses I've been curious about ever since I got into perfumery and it's wonders. This one being one of my first introductions to the brand is definitely a new one on my nose. First it just starts off with a deep, medicinal cherry and a very strong oud note. I used to not really mess with oud because of its fecal and animalic notes in other fragrances; but this one looks to be really smooth and balanced and I'm actually falling in love with its composition. This one dries down to a powdery, rosy oud you would find with something like Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst but alot more refined. I think this one would mostly shine in the cold to be honest, because wearing this one in the heat is a death sentence. 10/10.

Finally got it, since a year or so I smelled it and wow I fell in love, since I got many perfumes from the house. Honestly the perfume is something you can’t smell in every place it is uniqe DNA and well blended and the house of Guerlain has done incredible work in it cause you can feel the ingredients are so so pure and come on we know how Guerlain are so experts in their work. I definitely love it even more than TF cherry smoke because it’s cherry oud and it’s obvious from the name you don’t need to explain anything about the smell, I would give fragrances of Guerlain 10/10 but the price is so mind blowing so I will give it 9.8/10 because of the price, and definitely recommend it of you have fu*** high credit.

Very sweet fruity opening, I do get the sour cherry more than anything else mixed with the rose notes, well blended here, I can detect the leather slightly but I'm not picking up the oud at all, I'm hoping that the oud is more clear cut in the dry down, I'm used to oud ispahan and leather oud for context as my oud fragrances, I like it very strong almost 'barnyardy' would use it as its the only scent with cherry that I own, but it's not going to be replacing any of my daring oud fragrances any time soon. Hoping for good maceration to improve the performance. 6.5/10 very fruity, nice leather Notes, oud too toned down for it to be in the name (been on for 4 hours, will report back if I notice any changes)

Absolutely amazing fragrance, blended beautifully. A stunning cherry note that starts bright and zesty and gradually becomes an undertone of a cherry aid like note, but the posh kind, complimenting the rose in the mid, it’s like they’re dancing together. The Oud and Leather creating depth and personality. It’s one I can’t stop smelling, addicting, inviting and one of the best date fragrances out there. I had no choice but to buy a 200ml bottle. Despite some reviews here making me wonder otherwise, this is not a very challenging fragrance, at least to my nose, the oud and leather are very approachable, it’s kinda like Les Sable Rose, the blinding Rose Oud by LV - only Cherry and not quite as much depth.

Didn't realise that I actually love the leather note till I tried Floral Street Black Lotus and now Guerlain Cherry Oud. I was trying all the L'art L'matiere seriei at the counter, but most of them didn't sparkle me, until this one! I was so pleasantly surprised with the interesting combination of fruity cherry, mature leather and oud. The BA so nice that she gave me a vial to try at home. It's something I'll buy when David Jones or Guerlain has some promotion campaign go on.

My absolute favorite complex cherry. I get all of the notes and evolves and opens up wonderfully on my skin. I suppose you should test it because some people only get cough syrup while others only get leather. I wore a few sprays from the tester to a classical music performance when it was still cold and got compliments and questions about it. Seemed to last awhile and at full strength for at least 4 hours. It's on my fb list, but not in my budget just yet.

Wonderful. Strong. Delightful. Medicinal oud. Performance only so-so as it does not last that long. Cherry, rose and oud nicely blended with none of the notes overwheming the others. Cherry is a very mature and interesting one, not young nor sweet. There is definitely powdery rose to it. Reminds me of Velvet Rose & Oud of Jo Malone. This perfume starts out as extremely feminine while drying down to something more musculine. Very interesting indeed.

This is truly a masterpiece of Cherry perfumes recently launched! For those who love perfume in the accent of Lost Cherry from TF but want something darker and more seductive, you must not miss this one. Sweet Cherry, lovely Rose, smooth Leather, and a very clean Oud. What a perfect combination. It also gives a bit of medicinal and boozy vibes. Lastly, Please try it on your skin, not a blotter. The performance is completely different.

firstly, I want to let you all know that I absolutely hate cherry frags. this one however, only has a slight fruitiness which makes this so amazing. it’s true, people complain that the fragrance is mostly leathery with just a hint of cherry and ironically that is what I enjoy about it. got it for well below retail, so I’m certainly biased. there’s no damn way I’m ever paying retail price for this, anyways 9/10.

Waaay less cherry than I expected, hardly any fruity vibes at all, a woody cherry. Don't get an awful lot of rose either, its mainly Oud and leather to my nose, with a hint of sweetness. It smells classy and expensive, well blended and exactly the way I like to smell. Tested out one spray on my wrist and it was clearly detectable 11 hours later. reasonably subtle sillage.

I'm not usually a fan of cherry nor oud, but... this is amazing. I added it to my list of recommended frags for my partner, since she likes cherry. We finally got to a guerlain store where we could try it, and... it's something else. It smells so good, and I kept getting whiffs of it in the air throughout the whole day. The price is definitely steep though.

Hot take but in my opinion this is better than oud maracuja, it's really well balanced with good performance for me, but Guerlain need to chill out with their prices because they are way too high. I don't get at all the medicinal vibe some of you are getting and imo if it was like 250~ euros I'd consider buying it. Very unisex, classy yet playful.

I absolutely love this fragrance. The cherry opening is smoky and rich. It disappears after about half an hour and then the leather takes over. I can barely detect the oud, but that’s OK. Projection and sillage are moderate on this one, but the projection is a good 7 to 12 hours. It’s intimate, and it smells expensive because it is.

I first sprayed cherry oud on my arm and I thought it was too dark in the opening, Later that day I smelt my arm and holy it was amazing. It smelt like a perfect blend of cherry and dark chocolate. I would say it lasted for 11 hours. Now This is my main Fall / Winter scent and I will recommend it wherever I go. 9.7/10

This is so beautiful. Cherries, roses .... All grounded by an oud that has worked well with the gourmand notes. I don’t usually like strong oud but this is lightened by the cherry and fruity notes it’s so beautiful. It does remind me a little bit of Tabac Sahara, just way more mellow and feminine.

I really love this one. So sweet and lovable. The mix of cherry and rose is so appealing and leave a very nice sillage. Like most Guerlain parfums this tends to be somewhat powdery so it makes me feel pretty whenever I wear it.

I guess I'm lucky because on my skin the cherry stays the whole time. It's cherry, oud and some smokey leather on me. Excellent performance. I love how it smells but I find it a bit linear, it doesn't evolve much.

i'll never forget the moment i first sampled this. i wanted to get a full bottle but i only managed to get a travel size :( not mad about it bc its not something id wear everyday but i finally got it!!

Atrocious opening. Drydown is very pleasent. An oud lover will like this but I cannot bear that opening. EDIT: Nvm the opening is bearable and the drydown is actually delicious. Love it.

Based on the notes, this fragrance aims to bridge playful gourmand brightness with the brooding intensity of oud, creating a composition that feels both seductive and luxurious. Whether Cherry Oud manages to strike that delicate balance or leans too heavily into syrupy sweetness or oud-driven weight is what we’re here to uncover. Let’s step into its crimson warmth and begin. Opening: The opening is woody, leathery, and fruity. The primary notes I get are oud, leather, cherry, and rose, with oud and leather taking immediate command. From the first spray, the unmistakable aroma of natural oud announces itself—dark, potent, and noticeably funky, but never veering into full barnyard territory. It has that textured, animalic depth that only high-quality oud can produce. Close behind is the leather, which leans animalic and rugged rather than the polished designer leather you find in something like Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather. Supporting these heavy hitters are the cherry and rose. The cherry offers a sweet, juicy brightness, though still very much beneath the weight of the oud and leather. It’s deeper and richer than the cherry in something like Lost Cherry—less confectionary, more macerated. The transformation from bold, masculine oud to syrupy, cherry-rose femininity is striking—and unexpected. Performance: The initial projection within the first hour is enormous, easily filling a room and leaving a dense, heavy scent trail my wake. After a few hours, the performance remains remarkably steady, nearly as strong and full-bodied as it was when I first sprayed. Around the 8-hour mark, projection softens a bit to roughly 3–4 feet, with a lighter but still discernible trail. Cherry Oud finally settles into a skin scent around the 10-hour mark. Overall, the performance is excellent and very much in line with Guerlain’s L’Art & La Matière standards. When to Wear: Cherry Oud is a fall/winter fragrance suited exclusively for evening wear. It’s dark, heavy, and opulent—perfect for formal events, special occasions, or nights when you want to make a strong, luxurious impression. It is, however, far too intense and ornate for casual settings or office environments. Blind Buy: Cherry Oud is not a safe blind buy. The opening features bold, unmistakable oud that will immediately put off anyone who isn’t accustomed to or fond of natural oud profiles. Additionally, the dry down shifts dramatically into a cherry–rose dominant accord. If you’re not a fan of strong rose notes, or if you expect the oud and leather to remain front and center throughout, the dry down may disappoint. Sampling is essential. Final Verdict: Cherry Oud turned out to be a very interesting—even confusing—fragrance experience. It opens with a bold, masculine punch of natural oud and animalic leather, softened only slightly by hints of cherry and rose. Yet as it develops, it shifts into a thick, syrupy cherry–rose composition that leans decidedly feminine. In that sense, it truly straddles the line between masculine and feminine, earning its place as a unisex fragrance—just not in the way I initially expected. The performance is undeniably impressive, and the craftsmanship is clear, but the dramatic shift in personality, combined with the very high price point, keeps it out of contention for my personal collection. It’s a striking, memorable fragrance, but ultimately not one that aligns with what I’m looking for. Oud Cherrie Opening of this one is very tasty cherry With deeping tone of leather, the blends is beautiful. And the scent progress it is develope into the way I think yes it kinda ok, I can deaf use it. However, as scent progress future.. It much reminds me of “Santal Noir” by Dior? It is a bit difference as Guerlain leans powdery and softer but Santal Noir leans more Musky and sweeter. The vanilla of Guerlain helps over all feel. Make it softer. But it might just too close? Not really sure, i think you should test yourself. ————— Side by side comparision. (The same day) Yeah, it is fairy similar. Rasberry Ketone is rich in both fragance. benza Aldehyde. Create cherry. The both shared red fruity feel. Only one thing that save Guerlain is gerlainade from Rose, Tonka and Powdery Vanilla. Very enjoyable. Might got FB. ===== Update 1 on April 22, 2024. Times went by, I think I was gonna grab this as another pick up in upcoming May. But I think I will be grabbing less than other offering from the brand. It is good cherry oud scent one but I don't know.. I just gravitate to oud less and less, I prefers something that I can a bit more everyday. ... pass to reconsideration. ===== Cherry Oud (Revisit note on May 5, 2024) I think the word “Cherry Oud” In this context, means loose interpolation of “red cherry color oud” than actual cherry & oud. From my 2nd perception I do get a smell of how this fragrance should be worn by a lady with “Almond shape nail, lacquer with Red Cherry color”. It’s one of femme fatale scent. I receive the whip of Cherry but more like Cherry syrup; transiting to cherry rose feel coat on powdery note in Guerlain style. then deeping to leather/amber note as time pass by. I still think this quite similar to Santal noir but that one is more rosy and muskier. I think this is quite sexy. No this is not similar to black perfecto. This not contains musk and patchouli But I think both are to close... Santal Noir and Cherry Oud. It’s way too close. ===== Re-asset note on May 8, 2024 Opening : Cherry color red oud, on amber base. Sweeten. No tight, airy almost willow. Opening 8/10 Deveope : Musk (!?) I don’t notice this when I compare to Santal Noir, leathery soft oud. This it is really recall Le Petit Robe Noire, Black Perfecto in the way this is more well done... Sexy and beautiful, but too modern for Guerlain’s dna. Maybe or maybe not. Why I think I will rushing put money in this in the first place.. I really do need Further Assessment need. Middle : 7/10

I ordered this sample by mistake, and thought I ordered ‘Oud Nude’. When I realised, I wasn’t mad, because I tought that a cherry would be sweet and innocent. Boy, was I wrong... This is a big blast of a fragrance which really dominates a room, and for such a long amount of time. Both the sillage and longevity is in the extremes. After I just sprayed a tiny spritz on my wrist, my partner smelled it downstairs, and even days later it was detectable on my keyboard. Yes, keyboard! Probably because of how I have rubbed my wrists over it whilst writing down my notes and this review (; Anyways, no other pefume have ever done that for me! The actual scent is a very velvet-y oud with a tart cherry finish. The rose and leather are seamlessly blended, and together they play to eachothers’ strenghts. It really feels like a grown up cherry perfume. It is warm and comforting, but at the same time bold and edgy, unlike the other ‘typical juvenile cherries’.

This opens with a punch of leather in your face and some oud and sweetness in the background. After 10-15 minutes, cherry and rose take over, still the leather remains quite noticeable. The drydown is a smooth sweetness on a leathery base. The leather here is not suede, it's a leather jacket. This is strong, with a spray behind the neck, you have enough and this is how it smells best. It can also be used for layering, under Santal Pao Rosa, it gives it quite a bit of depth and attenuates the sweetness . This is nothing like any La Petite Robe flanker. If you want to get more depth on the Petite Robe, you can also use it by layering with Cherry Oud. I have a bottle full of this, and the first time I poured it on, I wanted to cry. But let it sit for a few months, and more nuances of pink and cherry will appear, much more exquisite. Cherry Oud is 100% unisex

The opening, when a sour cherry shyly dances around an oud accord, is quite lovely. After five minutes, the leather appears and from that moment onwards, I can recognize the DNA of Les Absolus d’Orient and La Petite Robe Noire. As I already have several bottles of those lines, Cherry Oud cannot excite me much. Furthermore, the fragrance has an overall light sharpness that gets a bit annoying after a few hours. I also perceive Cherry Oud to be quite linear and I honestly expected a technically more elaborate development. It is essentially a leather / oud combo with a sour background that is supposedly the cherry note.

This is earthy oud and smoky leather, reminiscent of freshly-rolled tarmac or charred toast. The rose note is strong and jammy in the opening, cut through with sweet-but-sour cherry liqueur. Oud, birch tar, rose and cherry, the notelist almost identical with the experience but I'd list the leather specifically as birch tar. Cherry Oud has a gorgeous fruity, smoky inflection and its sneaking up on me. As someone generally uninterested in oud this plays superbly on my skin. The full-on rose fades leaving the oud to softly fill out, accented by rose and sour cherry. Beautifully blended as you'd expect from Guerlain.

Quite intoxicating. I couldn't stop going back to sniff it again. I don't think the cherry is strong at all - I got more of the leathery, chemical notes. But there's something mesmerising about it. That being said, I don't know if this would be considered a crowd pleaser - my friend who's more into florals absolutely Hated it. Edit: too leathery on my skin, but not in the strange complex way I found interesting on fabric/paper - actually smells quite boring on me. Excellent for layering with other cherry fragrances though. In the end I gave away my sample - it deserved a more loving home.

Smells like poison cherries. Pretty dark and ugly. You need to be a proper witch to wear this one, is what I'm thinking. Yet it's a wonderful perfume and I really do like witches. I'm trying to hate it because it's the most expensive perfume I've sampled yet, but I'm rather liking it. This will look stunning on a lady dressed in black. Henna dyed dark red long messy hair, black dress, black overcoat, black dr Martens, dark brown lipstick, stark posture, fiery eyes. That kind of dark elegance. Nothing cheerful about these cherries, yet very intriguing and fatally attractive.

As an oud-gourmand lover I was dying to sample this fragrance. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed, and my main question is "Where's the cherry?". Sure you get a sweet burst of cherries for the first 5-15 minutes which afterwards fades into nothing, furthermore for an oud fragrance it's also lacking longevity. It still remains a hyped lovely fragrance, however I cannot justify the price. If you're solely looking for a cherry driven fragrance, please do not purchase it based on reviews.

i’m not a fan of alot of guerlains fragrances but this one is amazing! and i absolutely hate cherry scents!! it’s bitter with a subtle sweetness that calms it down and the leather notes work perfectly with the cherry and woody scents. i can smell a slight smokiness to it.. kind of like a bonfire smell? it’s really nice, would be amazing for a winter night

A barndyardy-animalic pair of leather and oud, a very slightly sweet dark cherry and a noble rose accompanying them. I would get angry at those who use this expression, but I want to say it myself: ‘Sex in the bottle’ It's a mature fragrance. It's not for pretty, sissy, gentle souls.

I am happy that other people can trace notes of Rose and/or Cherry... unfortunately I can't. All i can smell is the amazing and well crafted oud - and I love it. it reminds me a lot of Oud Ispahan and the Uncompromizing Sohan.

A smooth blend of very dry and earthy oud wood mixed with some tender sour cherry and dark vanilla in the base. It’s quite a heavy and radiant scent - just a couple of sprays are enough to fill the whole room.

Initial spray is a bit sweet ans alcoholic cherry. The drydown is a very clean leather oud that still keeps the sweetness from the cherry. Has the base scent that many Guerlain perfumes have

It's fine. That's about it. Super overpriced for what it is. I get a lot more cherry than oud. Starts off with a fresh realistic cherry, but dries down to a sweet candy-like cherry.

it's ok, for the price, was expecting to blow my socks off. it is well executed, decent quality but lacks originality.

Guerlain Ouds First impressions - Cherry oud : opens up with cherry and some nice cardamom . Rose soon appears and cherry remains in the background. A nice leather in the base with some cypriol/ oud. I like the drydown. It has a slightly lipsticky/make up leather feel. very good performance. I need more time with this. i'm not a big fan of the cherry/rose combination. - Oud khol: Incensy leathery soap. opens with a burst of soap from the aldehydes. smoky almost charred form the incensy, sharp cypriol/ oud and leather. It remains soapy for long . I don't get the praline . very good performance. I'm not a fan of it. - Oud Nude: it's from the 24 gold / kalemat/ Raghba family of fragrances but its smoother and with better quality. Really nice raspberry, almond, vanilla and wood . Gourmandish, Delicious sweet fragrance . A hint of smoke. It's my favourite out of the three . excellent performance.

Honestly, I liked it at first, but got nauseous from it after. I got the EDP and the second you spray once it immediately fills the room with the scent of cherry. So at the top you smell nothing but pure dark cherry, which is lovely. After about 30 minutes, the cherry goes away and you are left smelling the leather and Oud with a touch of flowers. After a while it started getting my nauseous after hour 3. I couldn't stand the leather smell in it. Oud I don't mind when it's blended well with fresh or spicy scents, but when paired with leather it's just too much of an unpleasant smell form my liking. A pro of the EDP is that it does last very long, Even after I scrubbed in the shower I could still smell a hint of it on my wrist. Props to Guerlain.
