Idylle

I haven't tested any of these kind for a while so it is a good reminder today how these scents smell too, I mean, feminine and classic type, also Guerlain itself. Of course I wouldn't wear it when going out but enjoying one "secretly" at home is almost like a treat :) It has mostly rose in it but something also turns it to a bit yellow direction, whatever it is. White flowers? In my experience it's not / not really that but I am not a professional nose either. Lily of the valley is my nr. 1 smell in the nature to smell once a year but I only read about it as a note in Idylle here in the FR page's list of notes: there's none of that in this scent, at least to my nose (or my tester has lost something). I definitely can smell it in some others like Yves Rocher Muguet En Fleurs and Byredo Inflorescence, my two best LOTV scents which present this amazing princess of flowers (that is, the highest rank) from two different perspectives. I also see peony as a note but it's not here and I know how peony smells, there is a small bush of them blossoming at the moment in front of my house, and this too belongs to the top 5 of all flower scents. Almost forgot: at least from my original plastic tester the very first opening smelt like plastic :) But that disappeared in a minute and took the sweet rosy tone afterwards. One more thing, more general. The previous commenter mentions baby wipes. I have seen this comparison many times in reviews along with other such like bug spray or toilet freshener or dish washing liquids. I don't really understand these comparisons because they are mostly done for a negative association and they give the impression that the smell is bad -- but bad because of what? That's the puzzling part to me. Is it bad because 1. the mentioned everyday commodity has a similar smell and that thing is cheap and that same cheapness is presented in the perfume? Or, 2. even if the everyday's commodity smells good, it's just the similarity that makes it bad? So the producer of those common things has made a wrong choice and has used a scent that is too good for that thing? So the everyday things should not have any of scents at all, and if they have, the worse they are the better scents they have used because then people connect the real perfumes with those good scents in the everyday stuff? I don't really understand what's going on here. I can totally imagine that many cheap perfumes share the same cheap base with those cheap everyday things and both can be not pleasant scents (they smell like petty attempts to smell good or smell like a certain flower) -- in this case the comparison works, I understand it. But if the everyday thing smells good then why is this taken as a bad thing when the same good smell is present in a perfume? I would rather like it then, no matter the source and I would refer to the similarity in a good sense. Anyway, I doubt Guerlain can be really accused in using cheap stuff that's been used anywhere else -- unless that "anywhere else" thing is also made by Guerlain or any other designer company and typically costs more too. I barely use anything that smells strong in my household (except perhaps air fresheners that are supposed to have smell) and prefer all those things and chemicals not be strongly scented so I haven't acquired those negative connections. It's just my opinion and experience, I wonder if Fragrantica has ever written about this problem.

I am so crazy about Idylle I almost don’t know where to begin. I’ve tried and rejected so many rose perfumes - Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, L’Artisan Parfumer Drole de Rose, SJP Lovely, Stella McCartney Stella etc - because some element of each was not the rose I wanted it to be. I still feel sad remembering the disappointment of the lovely rose fragrances from Les Parfums de Rosine: La Rose, Rose d’Ete, Roseberry, Ecume de Rose - gorgeous, gorgeous perfumes that would have been my idea of heaven, except that on me they had very little sillage or staying power to speak of. They may be beautiful fragrances, but when all you can smell after an hour is a faint trace, the fact is you are going to be disappointed. I was feeling like I was never going to find a rose fragrance I could make my signature .... and then I tried Idylle. I almost wasn't sure at first - I couldn't quite believe what my nose was telling me. Surely there had to be a flaw somewhere? But no, there isn't. I tested it at my nearest Guerlain counter for several days, and was so impressed I bought the biggest EDP. I'm in love with Idylle. For me it starts out with a burst of sweetly soft and romantic florals - jasmine, freesia, lilac, lily of the valley - a very sweet, clean, happy opening. But after that initial floral burst, it quickly loses the girlish sweetness and settles down (in about a half hour) to a luxurious but subdued, warm musky rose that stays true and strong on me for the next 7-8 hours, with very satisfying sillage that keeps on surprising me with the occasional whiff of its lovely understated rosy chypre heart. I couldn't ask more of a perfume than that. Guerlain’s official description refers to "the scent of cashmere on the skin," and that is exactly how it feels to me. Elegant, warm and luxurious, but quite understated. A truly beautiful fragrance I will be in love with for a long time to come!

Last year I made a successful blind buy with Idylle Love Blossom, so I also wanted to get to know the original Idylle. I was a bit sceptical, as I'm neither a big fan of lily of the valley, nor of fragrances that are similar to Narciso Rodriguez For Her (EDP/EDT). In my opinion this is quite atypical for Guerlain, no Guerlinade here. But it's beautifully blended, just like most of their other releases. I guess they're the only house that can make a scent like this work for me! Idylle is indeed similar to the NR For Her line. It uses the same kinds of musk and patchouli. But the notes around them are different. This has a nectar-like, warm and honeyed floral accord that feels very springy, as if it had golden pollen floating around it. I don't smell a lot of lily of the valley, more rose and lilac, but I think the clean dewiness of LOTV might balance out the musk. In the opening, the litchi and raspberry add a lovely juicy freshness that only lasts for a short while. My problem with the NR For Her line is that the musks turn kind of dirty and very overwhelming to my nose after a while. It never happens with Idylle. The scent always keeps the fresh floral notes besides the musk, so it stays clean and polished all through the drydown. The overall feeling I get here is romantic, but also put-together. It makes me think of a strong-willed woman who likes to wear flowy floral dresses, soft pink blush and long wavy hair. As I already have Love Blossom, I don't need this, they are very closely related. In direct comparison, Love Blossom is a little less musky and more focused on the beautiful honeyed lilac. I have only tested this from the bee bottle, no idea if it smells different in other versions.

Wow. I have no idea how I hadn't encountered this fragrance before, especially in my hunt for a fresh green rose-led floral following the loss of Lancôme's Miracle So Magic, which I loved. I'm also a big fan of other Guerlain scents, especially the Mon Guerlain range (the Florale flanker being among my very favourites). My introduction to Idylle was smelling it on a neighbour and immediately asking her what she was wearing. She very kindly gifted me a bottle, and it is gorgeous! I was afraid I might repeat my experience of D&G Light Blue, which smells intoxicating on others but like a Glade air freshener on me. Luckily, Idylle works well with my chemistry, and it smells really sophisticated. The rose note is the strongest initial hit for me, and it's definitely a youthful, sweet rose, balanced by the green and other sweet notes. I'm not a fan of prominent patchouli notes (it's even too strong in SJP's Lovely for me); the patchouli note here is subtle and blends in beautifully with the fresh green notes. I'm curious to see if the litchi note emerges more in the development, as it is one of the most prominent notes I picked up when I first interrogated my neighbour about her fragrance. My continued obsession with Miracle So Magic is somewhat satisfied with Idylle's lily-of-the-valley and rose top notes, as well as the musk. Idylle also reminds me just a little of Joy by Dior, but without the mysterious, headache-inducing note that made me ultimately decide against purchasing that one. When this bottle of Idylle runs out, I'll likely buy it again. It's a safe blind buy for a person of any age who likes a green, rosy floral.

If gold had a scent, it would smell like Idylle.. That's how I describe it whenever people ask me what Idylle smells like - PURE GOLD, like its bottle! Another masterpiece by Thierry Wasser! Oh, this perfume is so underestimated and I don't even know why. Only a few people actually know this gem by Guerlain, and it causes usually a hate-it or love-it reaction... I particularly love it, for many reasons... 1. It's one of the rare perfumes that you can wear both in warm and cold days. Very versatile because it's floral but at the same time the strong patchouli and musk base notes (I can find a little bit of amber in it, too) make a very warm dry-down. 2. It's so feminine, and chic, and it can be worn both by younger and older women. Like I said, it's very versatile, and it is really noble to my nose... 3. Jasmine here is GORGEOUSLY placed in the middle notes... Together with Bulgari Jasmin Noir this is a perfume that shows how beautiful a Jasmine note can be... What I find beautiful about this perfume is that, to me, Jasmine is the center of everything... the Rose and other floral notes, together with the musk and patchouli notes work as a 'frame' to enhance the beauty of the Jasmine, which, to me, is the star of this perfume. If you want something different, unique, ethereal and strong at the same time, give this piece of gem a try... Idylle, like the name very well describes it, is completely dreamy and poetic, something only a goddess would wear. IT SMELLS LIKE GOLD!

Idylle took me by surprise! I acquired a bottle of this from my best friend and I love it. My shrine to Guerlain keeps growing and giving. That is not a bad thing either. At first this juice reminded me of Estee Lauder's Pleasures which I cannot wear. The strong astringent smell which is ever present in Pleasures chokes me out. I was wrong to judge Idylle. I did because of reviews here and also because upon first application it is explosive of Lily of the Valley and Freesia making it rather astringent. However, thankfully I waited for Idylle to develop and within minutes the Rose and Jasmine notes kicked in to create a more creamy and romantic dimension. At this point I also picked up the Patchouli earthiness. I also detected the fruits Litchi and Raspberry which are not overly sweet but which bring a very subtle sweetness to the bouquet. As Idylle settles down I pick up even more florals like Lily and Peony. I also detect some of the Musk which is not over the top but beautiful. The dry down is creamy floral with a bit of sweetness and musk. I would say this juice is sophisticated and very feminine. I also am reminded of Chloe Chloe(2009) but this is not nearly as soapy. It is unique for Guerlain being both modern yet romantic. I would say the sillage is heavy for the first half hour than on the dry down it is moderate to light. It lasts for almost five hours on me. I give Idylle a 10/10.

At last I could buy a fb 100ml tax-free in a town close to Switzerland! I was so happy! I bought Idylle and my bf bought original Stella for me! So I went back home with two perfumes I love and I wear both! Both Idylle and Stella smell slightly different on my skin according to days. Or maybe it is just my nose, I don't know. I like Idylle more when the musky edge comes out stronger and lily-of-the-valley is tamed. Thanksgod, raspberry is not so obvious that overpowers the rest of composition as it happens with so many perfumes with raspberry in them. I just wished that rose and jasmine were stronger than other flowers. It's true it reminds of NR, but they're all different in a way like variations on a theme and a variation can make a totally different effect, like in music! Idylle smells fresher in the beginning and it goes sweeter and sweeter till the end when it smells sweet snuggly musk, not dirty at all nor super-laundry clean. Just perfect. Lasting power could be a little better for an EdP in my opinion, but I noticed that when I don't smell it anymore on myself, others keep smelling it, so be careful! all in all is a much more modern and simpler Guerlain, not one that provoke upsetting reaction on their own, but it's a very well-made perfume. I'm very happy with my fb now!

I recently sampled this and spent several days analyzing it, wearing it constantly. First, how nice it is when that happens, a love at first sniff. Of course, that does happen, but then usually for me, love goes wrong. What I primarily like about this is the lily of the valley. It's delightful and soft, not in your face the way some are, such as Jessica McClintock. Idylle is also, to my nose, considerably different that NR's For Her, which I have. The pronounced muskiness of For Her is absent as is the strength. Idylle is softer, although not powdery, fresher, cleaner, lighter. I much prefer it. The whole business of thinking something is LIKE something else is tricky, it can make me not want to try Another one, but it's often not that way. I read over and over how Lovely was a less expensive version of For Her, so I bought it, disliked it and never got around to trying For Her, thinking it would be the same. Eventually, I did try it and loved it. Idylle is that way, it's unique in it's own way and worth trying no matter what it's compared to. It's beautiful.

Just got a small decant of the edp. Pretty much what I expected: a rich floral bouquet of which I smell mostly the lily-of-the-valley and rose facets, with some purple and white flowers mingling. A hint of green in there. It's less fresh and a little more ripe smelling to me. I can see the NR for Her reference but that one never worked for me-too much orange blossom and I found it headache inducing- in any concentration. Also not a fan of NR musk. Similar also to SJP Lovely and EL Pleasures. Feminine wedding-type scents, and this is the richest and least clean of the 3. Lasts about 4-5 hours on me, which is plenty since it's pretty linear. All-in-all, I think Idylle is just plain pretty, with a Spring-like optimism but still displaying warmth and could have come from any house. It's not identifiably Guerlain, so if you're getting it blind, I wouldn't expect much in that respect. I'll wear my decant happily on occasion, I'm sure, but probably don't need a bottle, but who knows?

Here just to agree with anybody who says that this doesn't smell anything like Narciso For Her EDP . It really doesn't. For one, Narciso For Her EDP never worked on me - while this smells grand. The rose is totally different in For Her and the patchouli dominates more and is less warm and honeyed overall. Not really any point me going in to the ins and outs, they don't smell alike to me at all. Then again, people seem to think that Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parke r is a grand dupe for fans of For Her also, which has always baffled me considering that Lovely is a lavender scent and For Her obviously isn't. Urgh... Big fan of Idylle when it was first released, i.e original formulation. Didn't like the later formulation(s?) and have not tried the beehive/honeycomb bottle variant (yet). This was glorious though, fruity opening, lovely musky rose and lily of the valley, shares something of Pleasures by Estee Lauder but is much smoother and not as fresh and crisp in character as that.

This perfume did what I swore could not be done: it made me like white florals. I grew up smelling White Shoulders on my mother. There were other equally nauseating white florals popular back then as well. They all reminded me of funerals and old women playing bridge. I decided to take a leap of faith and blind buy Idylle. I figured why not because Guerlain has never disappointed me yet. I am so pleased that I did. It’s so pretty! It’s definitely captures that indescribable Guerlain-ness that I’m so crazy for, with all these layers of beautiful florals weaving in and out of it. Guerlain figured out a way to balance all the usual heaviness of white florals with a fresh and yummy musky patchouli at its foundation. I think Idylle is just so universally timeless. With white florals having a real moment right now, I’m glad Idylle is in my collection.

This scent smells like falling in love with the person of your life. A beautiful composition of flowers (rose, lily of the valley), fruit (raspberry, litchi) and musk that lingers delicately on the skin - I loved Idylle since I first smelled her. It smells utterly fresh, feminine and sophisticated - with a slight naughty side from the musk. It is my "summertime" version of Narciso For Her (EDT) - lighter, more fruity and fresh. Unfortunately the longevity on this one isn't amazing - a couple hours or so, but I think that ties into the delicate nature of the perfume - anything stronger would take away from that. I would say this is a safe blind-buy - hard to see how many people wouldn't enjoy this one. At the same time, it's not extremely common - another thing I love about it. I think I will wear this for years to come.

Right out of the gate, I found this scent intoxicating--lush floral, although not as much rose as I had expected based on recommendations I've read here. Still, I didn't mind because the substantial lily/jasmine/white floral notes all work in such elegant harmony. Unfortunately, it loses that complexity quickly on my skin, and I'm getting less of the other notes and more prominent lily/powder combo as it dries down. I might enjoy it more mixing it with rosewater moisturizer or rose oil... UPDATE: So I mixed this with a little of the Annick Goutal Rose Absolue sample that I had and LOVED/am lusting after the combo. Just needed to kick up the rose note a notch or two and suddenly it made the Idylle sing. Am getting full sizes of both and am also going to experiment with other less expensive rose notes.

I got this beauty in a blind trade. I like white florals but was skeptical from the reviews. Yes, it's Guerlain. No, it's not Shalimar. But just like every perfume from the house of Chanel cannot be No. 5 nor can it be Coco Mademoiselle... this perfume, while not "innovative" is a gorgeous and luxurious scent on its own. Some people have reviewed it as nothing special (because they expect more from Guerlain) but I disagree. It is rich in lilac and rose and it very beautiful. I feel rather lovely when I put it on. It makes me feel... special and loved. It is very deep and rich. It just received a valuable spot in my top 10. Perfect for warm and hot weather! Move over Chloe Love story.... you've got some summer/spring competition in my beloved collection.

Guerlain Idylle is Guerlain's happy time scent. The EDT is a light touch of floral fruitiness and the EDP is a slightly heavy, albeit tangy, pear scent with lovely additions of jasmine and maybe melon. The first time I properly wore this out was to work, I got so many compliments. I don't usually gauge a perfume's quality based off of compliments... but this made me feel so good. I'm not always used to compliments from fragrances, but when I do get them... they're invariably Guerlain scents post 2000. I don't know why, I just can't seem to get them from the classics. Oh well, as I said - that doesn't matter to me. This is just tops, absolutely beautiful. Would even repurchase. I have the 2009 version, so hopefully not much has changed over the years!

So I own this as well as narcisso R for her. And they're basically two sister's. They smell so similar yet so different. Idylle is the happy sister when u smell her u feel like ur in a heaven. It's so flowery yet it doesn't smell like a grandma but like young classy girl or a woman. I can see it worn by all ages but preferably for young souls. It's fun. Sadly not that long lasting. You will b missing it on yourself and the smell while not that strong. It's still a crowd pleaser. The rose in this one is green and fresh. It's well complimented with the white musk. I recommend anyone and every perfume lover to try it. I'd say it's a safe blind buy but some ppl get overwhelmed by the lily of the valley smell. Smell 9/10 Sillage 7/10 Longevity :sadly 7/10

This was my first blind buy ever and it was a lucky one. The scent is reminiscent of opening an ornate gate to a sophisticated garden (you know, the ones with white pavilions) on a Friday morning in early spring, just when the weather has got warm enough to switch from one's winter coat to a light spring jacket. It's an absolutely timeless fragrance, floral and youthful, yet classy and effortlessly upscale. If you're headed to any place where you need to impress important people, wear this – it'll give you a boost of confidence. The sillage is very subtle, the scent sits very close to the skin; longevity varies, the head and heart notes vanish within the space for two hours, but the base notes stick around for several more.

NOTE* Blind buy, old formula/bottle EDP Idylle is a watery crystal rose comet with a big tail of majestic lily, musk & white flowers mixed with fruity stardust entering Earth to destroy humanity ps. For people who try a fragrance once and go off the first experience...learn to investigate and experiment with fragrance. Most of the time you just need to spend time with it. Your nose needs to "grow" into a fragrance. TBH, I have not liked any of my Guerlains upon first sniff. I learned to stick with them and really learn them and guess what, I have 17 Guerlains now. Guerlain is my favourite house specifically because they push you to get deeper into their creations by making scents that REQUIRE time to appreciate.

Idylle is a watery crystal rose infused with lily, musk, and white blossoms, as well as delicious stardust. Rose tincture, Freesia, Litchi, and Raspberry are the top notes; Lily-of-the-Valley, Jasmine, Lilac, Peony, and Lily are the middle notes; and Musk and Patchouli are the base notes. I'm over heels in love with Idylle. It begins with a rush of beautifully gentle and romantic blossoms and a really lovely, clean, cheerful opening for me. It rapidly loses its girlish sweetness and settles down to a rich yet warm musky rose that stays true and strong on me for the following 7-8 hours, with very gratifying sillage and the odd whiff of its exquisite understated rosy chypre heart!

I got Idylle as a gift from my grandma in early summer, I tried it and thought it was nice. Flowers, lots of flowers. I wore it a couple of times the next few days and each time I would get deeper into the scent, and each time it appeared more complex and feminine. I fell in love! and in a way I think it's the best to fall in love- slowly, surely, step by step...cause then you know it's true love. I wore it once later during summertime as I went out to dance with some friends. A friend of mine hugged me during the night, inhaled the scent from my hair and exclaimed: "You smell like a chest box full of flowers!" Loved that moment! The name says it all, this scent is...idyllic!

I love the simplicity and elegance of this perfume! It is a sophisticated floral and even though the composition consists mostly of the "classic" floral notes - Lily of the Valley, rose and jasmine - it's always playing beautifully on my skin and sometimes seems to have more depth than other perfumes with richer components. On my skin it works wonderfully. Idylle is a fragrance that won't overpower you - it will complete your style and linger in the background, occasionally coming forward in beautiful whiffs of gorgeous yet calm floral scent. Not to mention I absolutely loved the original bottle design and it is such a shame they decided to change the bottle.

Some say this is too mainstream for guerlain, i don’t agree. As a fan of Guerlain house, if i blind smelled this i wouldnt guess this was a guerlain. Non powdery floral bouquets, but it still has the undeniable quality of the brand. Most beautiful, very well blended pure floral i’ve smelled. And i’m a white floral lover, i’ve smelled much. Longevity is moderate to long lasting, very well for a pure floral. Great sillage, got me compliments on the very first day i’ve put this on. Narciso for her vibes present but Guerlain did it better, immediately goes in my top 10. Cleanest, most elegant floral ever.

Kbot sent me a mini bottle of Idylle. I admit I was skeptical at first as my nose (And chemistry) does not typically do well with white florals or "green" scents. That is gloriously not the case with Idylle! I love it's gorgeous powdery floral aroma. It's faintly green with prominent Lily of the valley and jasmine. I don't detect much fruity raspberry or lychee except when sniffed from the bottle. I love it enough to purchase a full bottle and possibly make it my signature scent! Hopefully someone will swap me for a full bottle of this precious juice before it's discontinued.

I wasn't expecting to like this so much. I picked up a sample of both this and Duet Jasmin-Lilas and thought that I'd prefer the latter. I was looking for something that smelled like the complex florals at the opening of Amouage Dia Woman without turning into all aldehydes. And this comes really quite close (though not as sparkling and complex). This scent is romantic, lovely, and feminine. I love how the rose rounds out the other florals without totally dominating (though it's definitely a main player). It's gorgeous, I just wish it was slightly more complex.

Oh idylle! It is wonderful to have you back in my collection. After my bottle was stolen, I have missed the luscious roses drenched in musk and fruits that enlivens and sparkles my day/evening/whenever I wear it. Sprayed onto my clothes, the musk-drenched rose and top note fruits open with wonder and delight, accompanied with the various flowers in the heart and further grounded by patchouli in its earthy sweetness. I have the original teardrop bottle which is super luxurious and beautiful in my wardrobe.

This is stunning. L.o.v.e. It. It is more like Cleopatra by Tocca, than NR for Her or Lovely, but they all have that kind of zesty(patchouli), musky, lily of the valley thing going on. (And when I say that, they at least smell like they have LOTV, I didn’t cross check the notes). This is gentle, soft, while NR For Her is “POW, in ya face.” I love all four fragrances I mention here, this being my new favorite. The EDT version of this is also gorgeous. I will always have both versions in my collection.

Many years ago we had a neighbor whose scent I always found interesting at the time, if not my cup of tea at the time. At the time I would've described it as a musky/earthy rose. Fast-forward and I come across Idylle. It hit me right away, this is my former neighbor's scent....and now I can't get enough of it! I love this!!! And the fact that it reminds me of my sweet neighbor who sadly passed away is a sweet beautiful comforting bonus to me. I agree, it is similar to Narciso.

Idylle is beautiful. It opens up tart, almost boozy, and quickly transitions into a musky floral teetering between modern & nostalgic without assuming either. This phase doesn't last long though. Patchouli then emerges and blends with rose and lily of the valley for an elegant, fresh timeless floral. This isn't a sweet fruity floral however it's absolutely feminine, demure (noticeable but doesn't scream for attention), and alluring. Projection is good, as is longevity.

There is certain similarity with say for her and lovely. I reserve for her and lovely to winter since it may come across too heavy esp in office. But idylle is lighter, clearer. I can wear that in winter autumn and spring. I just love love the scent that for her lovely and idylle represents. So elegant so soft sodelicate so vulnerable and feminine. I am glad to have idylle so I can wear something very seductive outside winter!

Pretty in pink... This is such a pretty perfume. I bought this after deciding I needed some rose in my life. And who doesn't? I don't tend to go for straight-up floral scents these days but Idylle was too lovely to resist. A rich, realistic rose bouquet. Finely crafted, smells suitably expensive. I only wish it had more staying power. This is one of the few perfumes I own that needs topping up midway through the day.

This is probably the best flowery scent out there - a bit similar to J'adore, but less synthetic. The dominant note is the rose - and what a beautiful rose it is! - but I can also smell lilac, peony, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine and very subtle patchouli. The fruity notes are almost undetectable, which is a good thing imo! While its sillage is relatively soft, it lasts for hours and hours. Well done Guerlain!

A beautiful floral fresh scent, that smells some what like chemical? But it's perfect, it changes through out the wearing. You won't get a head ache with this perfume, in fact you'll be missing it, You'll want to have it on❤️ Long lasting & worth having! Guerlain makes good scents. Just gotta find the ones you'll enjoy :) Idylle, samsara edp, la petite robe noir (will always have a place in my collection.)

I feel this fragrance is quite soothing somehow and find myself reaching for it often before bed. I can see the similarity to Narciso Rodriguez because this is pretty heavy in the musk department and also has a gorgeous gentle rose accord. Where Narciso has an almost metalic quality, Idylle is softer and has a bit of sweetness added. Overall, I would describe this perfume as being warm and cozy.

I have this fragrance right now. I love fragrances that start with a flowery note and last with a powdery/musky note. Perfect fragrance for spring. But I use it in all seasons :D If you spray it to clothes, it stays 2-3 days on it. But on skin, it stays for about 3-6 hours. Btw I am 23 years old and I think this fragrance is suitable for a large age range. My mum uses it sometimes.

Such a gem. A bit musky, very feminine, decorated with all sorts of beautiful flowers. Understated and elegant, this Guerlain beauty opens with a blast of spring, lily of the valley and Lilac, green and bright, and then mellows with the musk, freesia and the pink florals, toning it down to a warm weather summer. I personally would like more of that spring, but I am not complaining!

Musk, Musk, and Musk. This is a predominately a musky perfume, the floral notes are not as distinct. Reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez For Her, and Maison Margiela Replica's Lazy Sunday Morning. It's clean, simple, unique and addicting! It is a all-season scent, wearable day or night. Longevity is great but doesn't project far (won't disturb others, perfect for office).

Today i received my Guerlain Idylle blind buy as always. When i sprayed it on my wrist i was really enjoying it. It’s sophisticated scent, classy, elegant and beautiful. But wait a minute... this scent reminds me of.. Gosh... SJP Lovely which i used to hate it 10 years ago. I might change my opinion about SJP Lovely now.

Beautiful!! It is musky like the Narciso Rodriguez perfumes, but it is not exactly the same - I find it fresher and greener, the lily of the valley and lilac being quite prominent, and opens up with more tart fruity notes, like raspberry. Sweet, pretty, and comforting. So easy to wear and billowy.

I’m sad to say that I’m sure they reformulated it with the new bottles. I just bought a new bottle with the bees and it’s nothing like the original Idylle. Guerlain has always been my favorite perfume house but I feel like we’re starting to lose them too. Just too sad.

I got a vial and it was love at the first sniff, it's a very beautiful, elegant, I felt like I was sleeping on the bed of flowers. I sprayed it on my scarf and I still could smell it 3 days later on my scarf. I finally bought a full bottle and I just LOVE this beauty.

Perfect name, perfect house, perfect bottle, perfect opening, perfect dry down, perfect aura. Just one problem for me. On my skin it smells exactly like N.R. for her, which I already own, so it's a crying shame. Maybe edt version is what I should consider testing(?)

Very nice and trendy in a very beautiful bottle. Can be used for different occasions, inofencive, but edgy at the same time. To me this will pair well with a leather jacket in spring time. Good addition to any collection.

This is not a perfume. this is a scent that has so many layers and dimensions, it changes through the day,still lingers in my hair at night.. it is still there in the morning, its almost like it fused with my body... wow

Another blind buy and I am very pleased I don't think it weak at all I have the older shape bottle maybe that's why very close to nr but in my opinion better silage. Musky rosey goodness I love it! 10 out of 10

I just discovered it and it was love at first sniff. Such a lovely floral spring scent. Fields full of flowers, a clear blue sky and sunshine. All in one bottle. Soft and delicate. Very feminine. Love it.

It smells like living sambaguita jasmine flowers with gossamer strands of gold woven through its leaves. When Venus visits the mortal world, she wears this fragrance.

This makes me think of a floral version of NR for Her. I absolutely love it! Another Guerlain win for me. It really is my favorite fragrance house.

One of my personal favorite fragrances ever,very elegant classy refreshing and noble I just love and been using it on and off scine it's release :)

@momo, maybe you have Idylle EDT, not EDP. Eau de toilette bottles don't have metal coating
