an amazing versatile scent perfect for day and night wear. to me it's super powdery, floral and romantic. it has a parma-violet like smell but not overpowering and candy like. it's youthful and beautiful. the initial spray you get the super strong violet notes and as it settles through the day, it works into this super satisfying powdery drydown with the sandalwood. it works super well in cold weather and blooms the best there and longevity on clothing is superb - one of those you will smell days later! the longevity on skin is amazing too especially for an edt and does not need frequent reapplication. i find it can also be a super beautiful and romantic spring time scent due to its floral composition. it does struggle in high heat and can be very overpowering if you're not into that. it's a very unique scent that to me evokes imagery of a young, fearless woman, she's adventurous and playful. to me it has the similar vibe of britney spears fantasy but it's more mature and classy and less childish. if you're looking for a unique floral perfume that's powdery and beautiful i'd absolutely buy this.

I'm very happy&I'd say hype is true,this is far from old smelling,it's very Feminine light&airy barely sweet in the most perfect way&lasts longer than,alot of my other edp concentrations I own,very well made put together &smooth,I love my bottle with my nice name engraved for free♡my son loved it&kept saying mom you smell good,he's in elementary so this is not outdated@ all! I'm so happy this is how a Feminine fairy would smell! Not very sweet not to floral just blended very nice,it's not Sexy it's pretty&soft&great for everyday,in my opinion,lovely!! This was one of my first perfumes ages ago and I loved it. I had the old formula in the flower-style flask (such a shame they discontinued that beauty). The past couple of years I often tried it again in stores, but it was so different to what I remembered to the point that I was starting to think I used to have some kind of flanker instead. Recently I bit the bullet and bought a new style bottle (mostly because I had received a gift card and had to spend it on something), but I was still not convinced. Util I finally tried it on at home and I instantly recognized the beloved smell. That goes to show how different something can smell on skin and on paper. It's a very powdery and clean smell that last a good while. So glad I have this in my arsenal once again

I love it. It’s very nostalgic for me, as many women around me used to smell like this in 2000s, but it’s not outdated and I can wear it and feel myself in it. Very comforting and cozy, but also feminine, elegant and even somewhat sexy (but that’s debatable). It’s floral-powdery (not dry), a bit sweet and has something like a berry dessert in it. Violet is very prominent, it adds some bitterness (especially in the beginning), but quite soft. And of course there is this wonderful recognizable Guerlain base, which makes most Guerlain perfumes smell elegant and feminine to me. The scent has quite positive vibes, I would say, but at the same time it would be appropriate for almost any occasion. For me it’s quite weather dependent.

Absolutely stunning. Delicate and refined. Insolence EDT opens with a sparkling, tangy fruity note blended with damp woods. A few minutes in, a strong, sweet, powdery violet emerges alongside a translucent iris. Although both versions smell very similar overall, compared to the EDP (which I’ve only tried via a dupe), the EDT feels brighter and slightly less powdery. Nostalgically, this scent reminds me of the perfumed leaves from collectible scented paper pads from the 80s that used to be swapped among friends, as well as the memory of scented, colourful ballpoint pens that were so popular at the time. A unique and sophisticated take on a powdery floral.

After 15 minutes it turned into this mouth watering sour powdered sweets smell. I get a lot of violets ( candied not fresh) and fresh tart raspberry. Definitely powdery but not very sweet fragrance. For some reason makes me salivate 😂 ( must be a good thing) It’s unique and I love it 🥰 It has some romantic and vintage vibe about it. ( the fragrance in the new spade top bottle) on my skin it lasts 4-5h on the clothes around 8-10 wchich is pretty good for edt. Update: I am in love with this fragrance and I can’t live without it 😍😍😍😍 I will be buying a edp soon as well 😍

So I received this instead of the EDP, it was a blind buy so I have no idea what i'm missing out on with the EDP, all I know is i'm okay with this because it smells exactly like parma violets and the website gave me a partial refund for sending the wrong one. It is very sweet smelling if you're smelling it straight from the atomizer but it mellows out when you're actually wearing it and more of the violet comes through.

I bought this as a treat for passing my driver's test Lol. It's a big girl perfume. This has been hyped for years online and I don't know why I ignored it when it was in the bee bottles, it was so much cheaper then. It's violets, berries and powdery notes. In the summer it might come off too powdery and metallic so it's better in the colder seasons. One of the best out there. 1000/10.

This is one one of the most delicate, soft and dreamy perfumes, sort of like an enchanted forest vibe. 🧚♀️💜 It starts off strong with the violet and iris and then turns sweeter as the berries kick in. I agree with the reviews below, when I tested the EDP version it was way too powdery in an unpleasant way, this is so much sweeter and feminine.

This is how I imagine fairy type pokémon smell like, beautiful violet, berries, vainilla and iris blend, last all day on me and forever on clothes, nowadays this scent stands out from the modern fragrances around, I will use it on cold weather because I feel it'll become a little heavy on summer. Guerlain's perfumes are always exquisite.

I took a chance and blind bought this from the Guerlain website and I’m so happy I did!! When I wear this I feel like I’m floating on a cloud of sugared berries and powdery violets. I feel so feminine and sweet wearing this scent!! Love at first sniff. I get the imagery of magical fairies and pixie dust. Amazing longevity.

I love it, it’s very similar to EDP but a bit more soft and airy. Ultra feminine, unique, with a retro vibe. Definition of pure class and heaven for powdery fragrances and purple flowers enjoyers 💜 If you like EDP but feel it’s too strong for daily wear - EDT is your girl :)

One of the favorites of a friend who passed. Smelling this makes me sad but I had to buy a bottle to remember her by. She loved all things purple floral and this is just the most perfect purple floral I can imagine. Unique while still being classically identifiable violet.

Very addictive. A have compliments wearing this one. It makes me feel good, it's a very uplifting smell. I wear it for a week, usually I switch perfumes every day, but this one stole my heart.

I tried both today and I prefer this one to the edp bc it's a tad less powdery and sweeter bc i feel the berries more intensely

Powdered violets and sugary red berries. This is beautiful and very feminine! I get a lot of compliments when I wear it.

This is a fairy tale fragrance. Think glass slippers, gowns, fairies, princes, pumpkin coaches, grand ballrooms and dewy, enchanted forests. Or your favorite makeup bag or cosmetic line. Insolence EDT is one of the most ethereal frangrances I've ever tested. It's a combination of makeup powder, powdered sugar, evening air and just a touch of strawberry and vanilla. It's VERY powdery in the way that only perfumes can be. Not quite a lipstick fragrance. It's more violet forward, sugary and soft and slightly cool yet comforting. Very Cinderella, or or the Fairy Godmother. This is surprisingly deep for such an airy fragrance. I believe that's the vanilla working its magic. This isn't a super potent vanilla, either. It doesn't overpower the other notes, which could have easily been the case in a lesser formulation, since violet is such a delicate note. It kind of reminds me of the vanilla scent of Besame lipstick. Insolence EDT also surprisingly strong. This is a princess, not a damsel in distress. It has impressive sillage at just under arm's length, and really respectable longevity, at about seven. For an EDT to work as effectively, if not better, than most EDPs on the market, that is really something. Guerlain truly is a perfumery apex predator. And this isn't even the original Insolence EDT formulation. I'm not familiar with the OG Insolence line, but if it's anything like this, then I can see its cult status. One spray and I want to get decked out in the most fabulous gown ever and go in search for my own "happily ever after." Word of caution, though–this is a sweet but powerful fragrance, so don't overspray. A little goes a surprisingly long way.

Powdery sweet violet and iris with a little bit of tonka~ I get more tonka and sandalwood the longer it dries down! I wish I got more of the berries to brighten it up, but I love how gentle and airy this scent is! Its a slightly cold scent, but like a dreary day and not the icy chill of winter.. Not something I'd usually buy in-store (I bought it blind), but I love that its so different from other scents I own! Insolence is ultra feminine in a vintage perfume way, like a porcelain doll covered in a thin layer of dust with a soft sunray illuminating parts of her ♡ It isn't quite sexy, but there is something intimate to it and it wouldn't be out of place on a date~ Overall, its so dreamy and fairytale-like! It's somewhere between youthful and mature? I don't see a tween being into this, but maybe someone into coquette or vintage fashion in their 20s-30s? It absolutely doesn't scream "grown-up" either! Perhaps its "insolence" is a refusal to abandon girlhood?~ I like it best in mild weather, as its a bit too powdery for me in the heat! Its not the most "me" scent, but one I'm happy to try on when I want to curate a specific mood or style ^^/

This a lovely and beautifully blended fragrance. However, it was somewhat disappointing for me. I wanted those candied violets and berries, but what I smell is a quick shot of violet with some red fruits that quickly disperse within seconds. I'm left with a buttery smooth, bread-like, iris. In fact, it makes me oddly hungry but not over a candied aspect, but over the bread. In the late drydown, there is a delicious vanilla, but I have to press my wrist to my nose. That faint vanilla may be my favorite part of this fragrance, it's so yummy. I wish it was louder. It is an iris forward perfume; this may be due to my skin chemistry and the cool, dry weather. Perhaps other people do primarily get the violets and fruit. It is a beautifully done iris, but I already have a couple of iris forward perfumes and was not looking for another. Despite not meeting my expectations, Insolence is my first Guerlain, and I'm impressed with the quality. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who enjoys the buttery and powdery facets of iris.
