Petit Guerlain (In Pink)

I unfortunately don't know how the original Petit Guerlain compares to this since I was pretty "petit" myself when that one came out! I was four years old back then, I'm TWENTYfour now. Not so "petit" anymore I guess.. LOL! One good thing about getting older though - experiencing perfumes!! Okay.. enough with the rambling, let's get on to the actual review! As I said, I don't know the old version, what I do know however, is that this new rendition sure is one beautiful, fluffy little scent! The perfect child's scent indeed! Wearing Petit Guerlain instantly makes me feel like a carefree kid again! The sky is bright blue, with big, white clouds and I don't have a single worry in life. Simply an unmatched feeling. The compostition of the notes makes Petit Guerlain smell so natural, so clean and oh so "carefree"! This is THE scent of clean, white clothes drying in the sunshine, if there ever was one. It's a very "yellow floral" type of scent, but done in such a light and comfortable, comforting way. The honey lends it just the tiniest smidge of a natural, warming sweetness. It's like resting in a field of mimosa and orange blossoms with bee hives nearby on a clear spring day. Adding the pistachio note was a really clever strike, since it actually smells like clean skin here! Just like that of a beautiful baby. The longevity might not be the best, but I wasn't exactly expecting it to be either. Considering the kind of scent this is however, I think it performs more than well enough, since I do get roughly six to eight hours of wear time. Sillage is pretty soft, but it works in this case. Petit Guerlain is exceptional, and it sure exceeded my expectations! Thank You Guerlain.

I adore this sweet scent. It’s simpler, soft and sunny (think very soft yellows, oranges and baby pinks blended together), while maintaining that distinctly elegant Guerlain DNA. TBH, I wouldn’t spray this on my little girls. I spray it on myself!

Blue and pink are identical fragrances. I love this fragrance- I love the (soft plastic) dolls head note from the mimosa- touch soapy. This is what I perceive the differences are between vintage and modern Petit Guerlain: The vintage is more floral; mimosa dominant with soapiness which makes the fragrance feel clean but not shampoo-y. The citrus notes add a soft tartness to the overall scent but they’re quietly humming in the composition, so is the lavender. I do pick up the Jasmine but everything is soft and sleepy-hazy. It’s a sunny day with fluffy clouds passing by. Whereas the modern Petit Guerlain is clear skies and sunny and orange blossom dominant. There is a verdancy to the composition. Sweeten by filtered honey and a barely perceptible pistachio. It’s also clean and fluffy from the musk. If the two fragrances were colors: the vintage is muted yellow like maize and the modern is pastel yet soft yellow like canary.

This is review for Petit Blanc. It is very gentle musk perfume which has a slightly thick texture probably because it is alcohol free. I bought it because I wanted a perfume like Musc Outreblanc which we can’t get in Australia. This is a powdery and soft musk but it isn’t clean or soapy. The gentle florals and musk are really reminiscent of baby products but not in an overwhelming way. I think as an adult I need to douse myself in this to get any projection and I like close and quiet perfumes. However thats ok because it’s a big bottle. On the bottle- it’s the classic bee bottle which is another reason I bought it. Overall I love it, but I guess I’ll get through it pretty quickly. But it will last until my next trip to Europe when I can buy Mysc Outreblanc.

My little babies are back!!! I love it... I previewed it before on the original bottle's page... PS: The two bottles have the same fragrance... the blue is directed to boys and pink to girls...

The blue and pink are slightly different. Both are fresh, light and lovely but the pink is more desirable. I wear this on vacation, it’s so gentle but a wonderful skin scent for the summer.

I spoke too soon. A closer look at the label shows the name is indeed "Petit Guerlain." Vie Cafe had it right.
