Rose Amira

This is a very expensive fragrance commodity. I've had the luck to wear Rose Amira and Oud Essential for five days because the pharmacy I frequent has them on sale near the register. ("On sale" they are still over USD 200 in Switzerland.) I've already posted about Oud Essential being a very handsome and pleasant fragrance but over the five days my appreciation for Rose Amira on my other, hairy, male, arm, has grown daily. First of all, I concur with other reviewers below who praise its longevity and projection. It performs on me, too. On skin as well as clothes. Of course this is the kind of plush purring patchouli that smells so nice on hairy male skin. Not only are the rose and patch well done, the frankincense is essential to the blend, calming, and adding a bit of spirit. Rose Amira has a long lasting very lovely dry down. It's not powdery rather velvety and slightly sweet. It would be a mistake to assume this really is for women because I think it may better suit men. Yes, it really is an oriental blend, with nods to current Arabic styles, and rose is a pillar of Arabic perfumery for men. The price fits a luxury commodity and I dare suggest the price conscious consumer is going to push back and find the ways to explain how this "isn't worth it" and I agree. It's not worth it, if the price is a challenge. That's the way luxury works, nowadays. Luxury products mostly offer pleasure nowadays when the consumer doesn't wince - at all - about the cost. This is because luxury products have mostly declined in quality, with few exceptions, and prices have risen. But luxury products can still offer pleasures - to the appropriate consumer. Rose Amira is 250 USD on high streets in Switzerland. (Amouages are 400-500!). If that's not your range, find a lovely fragrance for 30 USD, or 60 USD and don't fret about these overpriced commodities. I know this product is not for me, for example. Yet I would wear both of these fragrances, alone and together, with great happiness, if I received them for free. No quibbles whatsoever. They are lovely. I think I would drain the bottles quickly, too, if money was not a factor in the experience.

I'd like to get this review right because this fragrance initially, it's not I expected at all when it was recommended to me by a sales associate at the Duty Free in the Honolulu International Airport. #RIP I was expecting a light, airy rose sent as I hadn't experienced the magic of Guerlain before. Rose Amira is a dark woodsy rose that one could appreciate if they're a novice to different, niche fragrances the way I am. I've had my bottle for a year and I feel like it's more appropriate for crisp fall or winter days when you want to feel warmth in your lungs. I brought it to Philadelphia and New York City and I was right. But here in Hawaii, we generally experience the hot and humid or rainy, windy days. So I just wear it when I want, and I'm okay with that. The thing I appreciate most about this scent is that I don't go nose-blind to it. It takes a couple of hours to go nose-blind to? But even then, by the end of the day, I can still smell hints of the one spritz I used on my skin. Where you spray it definitely has strength and staying power. If I want the fragrance to be a little lighter, I walk into the spritzed cloud. I know that people I work with are sensitive to fragrances and/or may not like this fragrance so I usually like to be mindful of that and spray the fragrance for me in this way. In short, it's too good.

I agree with everything @rene.saller said below. She is spot on. This is similar to Ungaro Diva but with an amplified rose and a more "modern" spirit. Rose Amira also has that bee sting honey bite that Ungaro Diva has. Absolutely stunning and great value for $$$ in my opinion. You can find bottles of this for around $200 and they are 4.2 ounces. That works out to around $50 an ounce. You can definitely tell this is a Guerlain. It has that Guerlain base, just like you can always tell a Chanel from a Patou. A gorgeous slightly powdery, slightly sweet rose and clean patchouli. The olibanum is done in a subtle way which makes this much more feminine. Very musky but I adore Guerlain musks. They amplify the rose and create a rose haze that surrounds you completely. The bottle is absolutely stunning and would look great on my vanity. My husband adores this and would probably like me to drown myself in it. So on the want shelf it goes. Thanks Guerlain for having such great customer service and generous samples. You'll be hearing from me again. If you like Rose fragrances with patchouli like I do This is a beautiful one and a must sniff at the very least. Edit the dry down of this reminds me of my bottle of black perfecto. Very "black musk" with a hint of leather with the rose and patchouli. This is a winner in my book.

This is just so good! Smelt this and fell immediately in love. I agree with the reviews saying it smells a bit 'dirty' at first, to me the opening is indeed quite earthy etc, but wow the rose that remains is perfectly balanced between realistic rose and a sugary, seductive, wealthy rose (but still quite playful). This is not a grandma rose scent whatsoever! The image that comes up when I smell this is that of a really wealthy, playful, slightly mysterious, stunning young woman who is a guest at a billionaire's wedding in Monaco. She's very classy but is out to have some fun. This scent also reminded me of Van Cleef & Arpels 'moonlight rose' and I'd definitely say it's in the same vein! The Van Cleef one is much earthier and much mossier, though, and much better for wintertime. Van Cleef also has that kind of 'hippie shop'-vibe going on with that fragrance (because of the type of patchouli used I think), whereas the Guerlain Rose Amira doesn't have that vibe at all (which I kind of prefer)!

The rose note is strikingly similar to the rose in the L'Art et la Matière line's Rose Centifolia Extrait 1 but at a much more affordable price point. The patchouli, like all Guerlain patchoulis, is clean and herbal, verging on minty. But the rose is truly the star of the show, and even though I have far too many rose-dominant perfumes in my collection, I could see adding this one. I also love the bottles for the Aqua Allegoria and Aqua Allegoria Absolu or whatever the hell subsect of Guerlain AA this is. Perfume is a luxury item, but I appreciate the way that Guerlain offers a range of prices--if everything was as costly as the L'Art et la Matière line, I certainly would not have so many (if any). But the quality is unimpeachable among all the Guerlain offerings, and Rose Amira is no exception. If I had to compare this to a non-Guerlain perfume, I would say that it resembles my beloved Ungaro Diva slightly, only with amplified rose.

I have tested Rosa Amira on few occasions and finally purchased it today. This might not be a super unique scent, I agree with the comments as being similar to popular scents like Portrait of a Lady, or Diptyque Eau Rose EDP, HOWEVER, in those there was always something a bit off, (e.g the artichoke on my skin was a bit bitter or blackberry note too scratchy). Rosa Amira was perfect from the first moment without any little nuisances. It is indeed a dark, velvety, slightly sweet, blackish-red rose. The notes blended so perfectly, that you barely can distinguish, just enjoy the composition. The opening is earthy-incensy dark rose, transforming to velvety dark, rich, deep rose. The dry down is specifically magical, soft, sweeter rose, supported by patchouli so elegantly. It never gets soapy. On my skin musk was unnoticeable. Excellent autumn/winter and/or evening scent, perfect with black, crimson, burgundy or mahogany attire.

If I were in the market to get a rose scent for cooler seasons, Rose Amira would most likely be my first choice. Guerlain is still delivering high quality scents! It’s a deep, balsamic, jammy, but not too sweet, dark, red rose blended effortlessly with a clean, earthy patchouli, warm incense and clean, soft musk. It’s one of those scents that smells like the bottle looks like. Intense, rich and seductive. And it smells good and expensive! I really think Guerlain created a gorgeous, feminine leaning, rose centred fragrance with Rose Amira. It smells like an autumnal rose, so a great idea to release this in September, at least that’s when I was able to sample it for the first time. I wouldn’t purchase this right away but I wouldn’t mind getting as a gift a bottle. I would wear it proudly and it would make me feel like a princess. It’s really beautiful... Priced fairly reasonable, it’s being sold in 125 ml bottles.

Love ❤️ this!! I was recently in Guerlain and of all the fragrances I sniffed, this was my favorite! I rarely pay full retail prices for my fragrances but I decided to treat myself on vacation and I don’t regret it. It’s a stunning scent! It is a bit simplistic in the note structure, but it still works. It is deep and sexy, perfect for fall and winter nights out! It is a gorgeous jammy rose that even those who don’t typically like rose can appreciate. The patchouli is beautiful!! I understand many either love or hate this note, I happen to love it! There is a mysterious feel to it. I picture a femme fatale, sitting in an opulent, dimly lit room wrapped in lush velvet with some incense burning. Sexy and luxurious.

It was sometime in the 70's. I was 4-5 years old. My grandparents had a shop selling vegetables, fruit and potatoes. Turkish migrant workers were plentiful in the Netherlands and they always shopped at my grandparents because their products were fresh every day. We had a pleasant relationship with them and taught them all about the Netherlands. The Turkish men taught us some Turkish words I still know. During their vacation they visited their home country and brought us small gifts. I still have a few, one of which is a carved wooden minaret with a glass tube with rose oil in it. When I say it, I can still smell it in my mind. Now this perfume reminds me a lot of it. Ancient Turkish rose oil! And I love it.

Let me tell you, this perfume grasped me in its clutches. It came as a sample with my order but I was kind of put off by the dirty opening. I put it away. Months later, I thought about it again, bought another sample, and became like a feral junkie. Every time I sniff it, I get vivid images - real things, imagined things, emotions just running across my mind. It unlocks something in my imagination. It's deep and sexy. I came to CRAVE the dirt. It's an extravagant fragrance so I don't think I'll wear it often, but man does it pack a punch. I tracked down a gold label bottle before they become totally extinct. I have been very impressed by every Delphine Jelk creation I have smelled so far.

I think they've improved the formulation after releasing the batch that left people disappointed. I bought this in the beginning of 2026. It has a maroon label and when I read the reviews my heart sank because everyone was disappointed in the performance of the kew batch with a maroon label. But I was astonished and happily surprised when this perfume performed amazingly on me. It stays on my skin for up to 10h. I can work out and it won't budge. The next day after wearing it I can smell it on my clothes. It's a beautiful scent and I'm over the moon about the performance. It's a lovely rose perfume that develops gorgeously on the skin, worth every penny.

Indeed, this is a royal princess ... not yet a queen, for she is lively, flowery, blooming, but not thorny or arrogant. She is lovely, a royal princess who is in love ... with the universe, with herself, with her friends, but not in such a way that she desperately needs a husband to feel whole. She is at peace with herself. Recognizable notes: lots of blooming pink and red roses, a deep burgundy rose in the background, a hint of pepper, incense, liquid amber and some earthy patchouli that seems “weightless” at the same time. It is a wind that comes from middle east rose gardens at sunset, kind of "1000 and 1 nights".

Im not a rose scent girl but recently ive been exploring rose more and more. This is one that I love and once I tried it I bought it. I didnt need to wait. The quality of ingredients is high. Its a lovely clean rose scent with an oriental background if that makes sense! Its clean but not soapy clean because in comes the oriental side of it without it being too woody. Its a lovely balance. I wouldn't say its not for heat. I live in the uae and its summer and im wearing it! I find it unisex if a man wants to smell like a rose 🤷🏼♀️. I absolutely love it

Sophisticated, tangy, smokey, and other worldly rose. It smells like a wedding bouquet in a cathedral, the frankincense really comes through and makes the smell nostalgic and cozy as well. It is definitely a date night smell, wear it for your intimate occasions, and you will feel like a true seductress. I can spray this perfume in the morning and the smell stays with me for 24 hours, and even post shower. Clothes that were sprayed keep the smell for several days. This makes the otherwise higher price, completely worth it.

What a beauty! I gathered together several rose fragrances to wear for Valentine's week (some I have bottles of, some just samples) and this one is my favorite. The rose category isn't my first natural inclination as I more easily fall for white florals, but Rose Amira .... my goodness. This is a transcendent fragrance for me, and I don't even know what this magic is that I am smelling. I just had a little carded sample and today was desperately trying to get every last molecule out of it! It captivates me!

My most favourite scent in a long while this is gorgeous smells a little dirty at first but once it drys down smells like real red roses with the stem and leaves oh it’s so good it does dry down very earthy I’m presuming it’s the all natural products nothing extra added I compared this to mid night poison and wow this is loud so loud but so lovely gives me a boost during these lovely spring mornings and evenings I’m getting another bottle I got ambre samar and Santal royal which are equally lovely

Very beautiful rose petals and aloof frankincense. I like this release although it is so close to Amouge - Rose Incence that I had to smell them side by side to comprehend the differences. I can imagine it projecting beautifully all year round especially under the sun but avoid over spraying it during hotter days. P.S. I am so disappointed that they are using the aqua allegoria bottles for this collection now. The outgoing bottles used to be better in everyway possible.

Wow. An absolutely stunning execution of a rich rose patchouli musk. From initial spray to deepest drydown Rose Amira is gorgeous. Complex, interesting, sensual, 8+ hrs longevity, moderate sillage and projection. A very beautiful bottle with the prettiest plum colored juice inside as well. My batch code indicates this was made in Dec 2025 and it has a burgundy colored label. I haven't tried other versions but am very happy with this one.

I agree with Sibaraa, though this isn't an oud scent it's what I always hope rose and oud scents will smell like. I've tested it alongside a couple of popular rose and oud scents for comparison, and it's like a much more beautiful and refined version of the same concept. I don't think I'll get a full bottle because it's not really my scent profile and I don't think I'd get the use out of it, but I may get a larger decant.

Beautiful classic juicy rose scent, clean scent yet simultaneously layered and seductive during the dry down. Really beautiful, and a lovely choice for rose lovers. I didn't end up grabbing this one as it was more of a nighttime scent and I was looking for something brighter and more youthful. Though this one is excellent I can see how some people may see this as "mature" or erring on the side of matronly or older.

As many have said, this is a dark velvety rose with a light note of background spices and incense. What stays with me is the rose; the other notes simply seem to wrap themselves around the rose. The color of the bottle depicts my feeling of the fragrance. For a fragrance that could, based on the notes and the depth, be overpowering, it is in fact a rather soothing elegant fragrance. I absolutely love it.

This is gorgeous! I had waited a half year to smell this. When first time i tried on the store i was like mmmmm i like it. The second time i bought and when i smelled the cap, i was like : OH GOD!! (Masterpiece✨💎in a bottle) On my skin this last 6 hour at least, and kn my clothes more than 18 hour. This is a love for me, i adore, a melting scent that hugs me, and make me confident when i wear.

It’s okay the opening is interesting and then I got nose blind me but other people can smell it, while I was writing this my partner just walked in and said I can smell roses in the house and I was surprised . It’s stays on cloths pillows and so on. The dry out on the next morning took me back to the 80’s and reminded me of that old diaries with a padlock. Pleasant smell and I’ll say unisex

Pleasant enough. Reminds me as a lighter version with the same notes of Guerlain Rose Centifolia Extrait. I wouldn’t pay $630 for the extrait but knowing Rose Amira $260 and surely will be available at discounted stores soon worthy of the substitute. I’m not a rose scent person but this one is beautiful just like extrait did me in with its bouquet. Love.

This is very reminiscent of Radical Rose to my nose but a tad lighter, almost more airy. It's a darker, jammier rose that feels grounded and a bit earthy thanks to the patchouli. The dry down is where the patchouli really takes centerstage and becomes a big love for me. I really love this! Strong projection and solid longevity (8 hrs on my skin).

Ahhh I just purchased a bottle of this in Harrods (after one sniff) this rarely happens - I usually have to wear and test out perfumes for at least a few days! What a beautiful feminine scent. I smell it and feel like an Amira (which translates as princess) A truly classy royal scent! Makes me feel luxurious.

This is my favourite rose perfume, more jammy rose scent and its absolutely smells yummy to my nose. Dried down which is getting more floral vibe but I quite enjoy the taste from jammy roses to clean rosie floral scent in overall. It becomes more subtle scent on my skin as well as it has also musk in it.

this is GORGEOUS. do you ever wear a perfume and you just want to EAT It cause it’s so delicious? i had a sample and immediately purchased a full size. Such a beautiful dark rose with the slightest incense. smells like portrait of a lady without the spiceness of the clove. Guerlain has done it again.

I received a sample of Rose Amira from a bought from Guerlain web site directly. I sprayed twice on my arm and I loved. Is so cream rose, a little powdery, smooth, refine, elegant and timeless, immediately on my wish list. Guerlain mesmerize me every time💖☺️

MAGNIFICENT rose scent. Not what you re used to though, this reminds me of rose Turkish Delights ( lukum) not overly sweet, classy, feminine and rich. Perfect for all year round tbh One of my favorite perfumes in my collection

I don't plan on buying this now but boy do I want this. Jammy deep rose with incense is right up my alley. Lasts a surprisingly long time on my skin, must be pretty long lasting on clothes. I'll just keep getting samples :')

Very reminiscent of their magnificent and unfortunately long discontinued Rose Nacrée du Desert, which I loved so much. I love this one the same. Thanks for bringing it back, even if it’s changed a bit.☺️🌹🌹🌹

True, dark red rose from Guerlain. It was no surprise to me that this will be gorgeous! Elegant, deep, seductive, a bit mysterious. So classy and confident. Must try for heavy rose enjoyers! ;)

Omg! That one I am in love with! A very subtle perfume. Guerlain has made a great job creating this collection, knowing that from this series I have already two perfume which I really loved!

Very nice. It is a spicier version of Diptyque eau Rose. I love that it is a refillable bottle. For me, this is office friendly because it is beautiful but doesn’t punch you in the face.

Musky rose with patch support. Feminine and more suited for ladies. Remove the dew from rose Kabuki and add patch and u get rose Amira. Not complicated. Linear

Rose Amira smells amazing on paper. The notes smell like a rich deep, reliable fragrance. But try it on skin. For me, the first 30 mn were a dream, but then it vanished. I want to stress that I had prepped for this sampling by moisturizing my skin before going out to test perfumes. Still, 30 mn after spraying, nothing notable remained. This was 30mn of me just wandering through a shopping center, no strenuous outdoor activity, just the inner sleeve of my jacket against it. The scent hinted at something longer lasting, but unfortunately it didn't happen for me. While I like Guerlains LPRN line, I have overall been disappointed in their Aqua Allegorias, and Amira is no exception. It feels as though Guerlain took all the components of what could have been a legendary perfume, but skimped out on concentration.

Coming back to leave a second review, because something weird is clearly going on with this one. When I first tried Rose Amira in store a few months ago, I loved the scent but was very disappointed with the longevity. Any trace of it had vanished from my skin within less than an hour. Today I tried it again in a different store (same chain, different location). It stayed strong for a good four hours. As others have already noted below, there seem to be very inconsistent batches of Rose Amira. Guerlain needs to get on top of QC issues it seems, because this is a gorgeous perfume, but it's a lottery whether one gets a "good" bottle or not!

Oud Essentiel Flanker. It smells like Guerlain's Oud Essentiel. It has the same warm, spicy Arabic saffrony scent, but the woodiness of oud is replaced by the tenderness of rose. Soft, warm, spicy, oriental, rosey. It is mature and elegant. It is in the same category of warm, spicy Arabic rose fragrances as Armani's Rose d'Arabie, but Rose Amira lacks that syrupy sweetness. It is not a clone of it, after all. I like it. Some might find it redundant to own this and Oud Essentiel. However, this is more feminine compared to the more masculine Oud Essentiel. Cold weather, mature, nighttime unisex wear. P.S.: LVMH is on the BDS list.

Rose Amira Guerlain (Store tests, Skin test) I finally test this at Guerlain Thailand today. At first spray, I feel like this is quite similar to Musc Noble? However, went I compare side by side. I found they head quite difference direction. I really like Rose Amira, by the way of full package rose. Lightly place on sheer musk. Very sexy and not masculine / not heavy on Saffron like Musc Noble. This rendition, I found very sexy. Slight grown up but still young. I believe this is retake on Musc Noble by Delphine Jelk. I really enjoy, I might eventually get full bottle after few retest.

It’s a classic pairing of rose and patchouli. The rose isn’t a rich, oriental, candied type, but rather a fresh, natural rose, and the patchouli is earthy. The composition is nicely executed, yet I didn’t feel particularly captivated by it. In my view, it’s missing a certain something to make it stand out - it comes across as a bit too safe and familiar, and the rose isn’t bold enough for my taste. I like it, it's pretty and well blended, but ultimately too conventional.

Rose Amira starts off with a piercing woody note. It takes around 10 minutes until a lovely, slightly jammy rose takes over. The patchouli is noticeable, but not dominating. While I like the fragrance, I do not think that I will buy a full bottle because there is nothing in here that makes it superior or special compared to other fragrances in this category. It would have been nice if they added a new twist to that overdone oriental inspired rose and patchouli genre.

Honestly, I think this does smell like Centifolia Extrait 1, but its a tad dirtier and a fraction of the price. Surely, the performance isn't as spectacular as CE1, but it's definitely nice and expected of a Guerlain EDP. It does remind me of Radical Rose, the beauty that it is, but I do smell a tad bit more patchouli from this and a little less soapiness. Definitely more amber than RR.

I'm on a fence with this one: the opening is very medicinal and heavy on me, later it dries down with a quality rose jam and is barely there after 4 hours. It's close to a dark rose I am looking for but I'm not sure such compromise is acceptable for me at this price (more expensive than your usual Aqua Allegoria since this one's a boutique line).
