Rose Centifolia Extrait 1

Wow! I'm surprised, really. I LOVE rose flower with all my heart. And there are couple of perfumes I own with a very nice rose. I expected from this rose to be realistic but with a good amount of heavy notes, which can be aggressive if applied more than 1-2 sprays. Yesterday I got my Rose and it such a good lady. Very nice, pure red full body rose with it's warm velvety and slightly fruity accents. I sprayed it today right on the front side of the neck (1 spray) because it's so nice and not aggressive that there is no need to spay it far from nose, she does not need any distance and time to transform a lot. She is my best rose friend, I love her already. And this is my 2d bottle of extract (first one is Vanilla which is crazy awesome, be has more demanding character). Both are MASTERPIECES!!!! This is the most phenomenal rose! And then in the dry down the patchouli and earthiness comes on and it is a lot like oud. A much better implementation of rose and oud if you don’t love oud. But al kimiya by royal crown is the best rose oud yes even more than oud satin mood. Update: yesterday was my 3rd time wearing it and the first thing I noticed is what I called a “dizzy rose.” 1.) I love it even more now 2.) I’ve overcome any abrasion to the earthy dry down smell. A dizzy rose is not a headache, but a heavy, beautiful waff of a scent that consumed your sense of smell entirely. I’ve only been able to experience this with rose and first was with portrait of a lady. Except that took 5 or so sprays on my arms. Many will cause my crazy. For rose centerfolia 1, it took 2 sprays one on each wrist and someone walking behind me that has a diminished sense of smell complimented me.

At the city centre of Rotterdam at “De Bijenkorf” I walked into the same rep from Guerlain as a few weeks ago at another perfum store. We talked, again, and I was introduced to this scent. The rest of that day and the next, I was in heaven. What a deep, beautiful, long lasting scent. Although I already have 2 bottles of the new millesime rose... There is no doupt in my mind: This perfume wins by a landslide!!! But at 550 Euro’s. O, my. I was afraid to ask for a tester. But I would have loved having received one.

Comments are different because this rose is complex and the personal experience/expectations of each reader is different, as well as their skin chemistry. My relationship with this beauty has been excellent. It is moderately sharp and fresh, and keeps the uplifting rose sharpness for a long time. On my skin it is not amber, sweet or oriental, it is warmer and sweeter towards the end, but again moderately. There is a chypre/patchouli nuance but well balanced and not sharp. I love this rose.
