Rose Centifolia Extrait 1

Wow! I'm surprised, really. I LOVE rose flower with all my heart. And there are couple of perfumes I own with a very nice rose. I expected from this rose to be realistic but with a good amount of heavy notes, which can be aggressive if applied more than 1-2 sprays. Yesterday I got my Rose and it such a good lady. Very nice, pure red full body rose with it's warm velvety and slightly fruity accents. I sprayed it today right on the front side of the neck (1 spray) because it's so nice and not aggressive that there is no need to spay it far from nose, she does not need any distance and time to transform a lot. She is my best rose friend, I love her already. And this is my 2d bottle of extract (first one is Vanilla which is crazy awesome, be has more demanding character). Both are MASTERPIECES!!!! AWWWWW!!! thank you, Guerlain!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕👌🏻💕💕💕💕💕💕 PS: I'm very into essential oils right now, cause my body demands clean stuff now, and this beautiful perfume (the sole of the Rose) is aligned very much with all this natural-stuff craving, no contradiction at all. This is the most phenomenal rose! And then in the dry down the patchouli and earthiness comes on and it is a lot like oud. A much better implementation of rose and oud if you don’t love oud. But al kimiya by royal crown is the best rose oud yes even more than oud satin mood. For the best rose perfumes this is my list: 1.) al kimiya by royal crown (oud rose) 2.) rose centerfolia extrait 1 (this) (green rose) 3.) portrait of a lady (spicy rose) 4.) Update: yesterday was my 3rd time wearing it and the first thing I noticed is what I called a “dizzy rose.” 1.) I love it even more now 2.) I’ve overcome any abrasion to the earthy dry down smell. A dizzy rose is not a headache, but a heavy, beautiful waff of a scent that consumed your sense of smell entirely. I’ve only been able to experience this with rose and first was with portrait of a lady. Except that took 5 or so sprays on my arms. Many will cause my crazy. For rose centerfolia 1, it took 2 sprays one on each wrist and someone walking behind me that has a diminished sense of smell complimented me.

At the city centre of Rotterdam at “De Bijenkorf” I walked into the same rep from Guerlain as a few weeks ago at another perfum store. We talked, again, and I was introduced to this scent. The rest of that day and the next, I was in heaven. What a deep, beautiful, long lasting scent. Although I already have 2 bottles of the new millesime rose... There is no doupt in my mind: This perfume wins by a landslide!!! But at 550 Euro’s. O, my. I was afraid to ask for a tester. But I would have loved having received one.

Comments are different because this rose is complex and the personal experience/expectations of each reader is different, as well as their skin chemistry. My relationship with this beauty has been excellent. It is moderately sharp and fresh, and keeps the uplifting rose sharpness for a long time. On my skin it is not amber, sweet or oriental, it is warmer and sweeter towards the end, but again moderately. There is a chypre/patchouli nuance but well balanced and not sharp. I love this rose.

Is it delightful and high quality? Yes. Does it lean old fashioned? Not really. A very very pure rose heart that manages not to be overly sweet or cloying. A very straightforward note profile, but superbly well executed. Completely unisex and for me suitable all seasons. It’s polished and elegant while doing absolutely nothing adventurous. Quiet luxury vibes. Is it worth the money? Absolutely not. Did I buy it anyway as a rose enthusiast? Yes.

Beautiful Gorgeous Rose. Fabulous scent. I had to buy. The rose definitely dominates, sweet, soo well done. I am soo drawn to this kind of Rose. Just amazing. Yes, patchouli is there, but it is smooth, not dirty, or sharp. To me, the patchouli here, reads almost 'chocolatey' with the hint of olibanum. Honestly, I tend to steer clear of patchouli in fragrances, but this perfect, and it doesn't over power the star of the fragrance - rose.

This is an intensely rich and deep rose perfume, entirely centered around the theme of roses. Patchouli dominates at the beginning, but gradually fades with time, allowing the exquisite scent of roses to stand out alongside olibanum. I absolutely love it, and the 30% concentration of perfume extract ensures its fragrance lasts for an extended period. But to be honest, the price of this is making me feel queasy.

If u are looking for a rose fragrance, this is it. I think this one is very unisex although i understand people saying it leans feminine. If u want more masculine, go for Radical Rose from matiere premiere, more spice and less rose. But this is a 10/10 fragrance for me, i almost want to say that the price is justifiable for the extremely good quality and the fact that u only need two sprays of it.

My Holy Lord! This rose is THE BEST ROSE EVER! I love and appreciate rose, however it’s hard to have good perfume rose and I’m lucky to own rose masterpieces in my collection, but this one is a queen of the queens. Love it. It just posh, natural, mature and enveloping. Technical characteristics of this masterpiece are outstanding-1-2 sprays lasts forever. Thank you, my lovely Guerlain!!!

This opens with a patchouli sweet scent of full bloom heavy Rose similar to Portrait of a Lady, and the dry down is a wonderful soft rose similar to Lipstick Rose from Frederic Malle. Long lasting, but perhaps not as potent as the vanilla, jasmine and Tonka in this range. It is a very nostalgic scent for me, hence purchase of the full bottle.

I only have a sample of it. It's very real, and has a honey-sweetness that some real roses have. It reminds me of Jo Malone's Red Roses but stronger. It's much better than Forte Rosa Rossa. I don't love it enough to buy a full bottle at that price. Any season. Day or night.

My favourite Guerlain Extrait at the minute, this is just fantastic. Not talked about enough for how good this is. It smells exactly like what I would imagine heaven smells like. AMAZING. Smell: 9.8/10 Performance: 7.5/10 Bottle/atomiser: 8.4/10 Overall: 9.5/10

I am 💯 agreeing the privious rivew its the best rose fragrance in market and this is for all rose and non rose lovers too ,more feminine leaning but if men also use its beauty in bottles and ohh yes i love Gurlain bottles

It is a fresh rose, slightly sweet and oriental. Extremely long lasting, due to a high content of oils. Does not smell like POAL, which contains different type of rose (damascena).

What a beautiful extrait. This Rose Centifolia is luxurious on its own and great for layering with masculine scent to add dimension and luxury. Long lasting and nice sillage.

This is one of the best rose fragrance in market as my self not a rose lover but this is so so good mens can wear it too oh my God i love it

I can’t believe I’m about to say this.... But I think it’s worth the price .

I am going through the samples of the extraits. The opening is gorgeous. It's such a majestic rose! There is no old-fashioned Bulgarian rose (which is usually associated with a bold rose), but rather slightly jammy rose, somewhere in-between Rose de Taif and Rose centifolia which is a fresher rose. I think if you love rose scents, it's a must-to-try. Me, personally; I'm not a big rose fan, but even I was impressed. After the opening, I feel an earthy note. I wouldn't definitely say it's patchouli, but there is only patchouli listed, so attribute it to it. An earthy note is almost solid. Like having first smelled a rose bud and going down to smell the roots of the plant. I can't really find it too attractive however, it adds a certain edge to the scent. Unfortunately for me, I can't get over it. It stays pretty linear after that. Conclusion: worth sampling, I'm not sure I can splurge on this one, but would definitely wear it if gifted. It's not close or similar to POAL or Eau Capitale in my opinion.

Alright, this is a perfect example of a very strong scented natural dark pink rose. Not enough depth for red rose but deep and fresh smelling enough for a dark pink rose. If youve had a rose garden you know what im talking about. Patchouli is there, it doesnt smell bitter or dirty, it makes it smell more natural, like a rose after rain, the ground, plants, trees around it are still wet from the rain. I find it pretty, not my favorite rose though

This is just pure rose extract almost. I am just not sure how much real rose absolute is in this because my bottle of rose extract I have in my pantry that i use to make sweets and desserts smell just like this and I am pretty sure that is not made of real rose because it cost like $2 lol. After the drydown it does transtion into something more complex and you can definitely smell the incense.

Blossoming strawberry rose, sweet slightly spiced rose. Opening reminds me of the strawberry flavoured Cadbury's Roses. Strong opulent rose. Earthy, punchy rich orange pink and red rosy bliss. I see someone drew a comparison to Perles de Lalique and I can pick up those accords woven around the perimeter of this fragrance. However, Rose Centiflora's entire personality, Id and superego is ROSE.

This is an earthy citrusy rose scent. The opening reminds me of Portrait of a Lady, but the earthy tones are different. POL’s earthy tone is patchouly, Rose Centifolia is like real moist soil. The rose tone is sweet lychee rose. The drydown is beautiful, and I can recognize the aldehyde inside. This is a nice rose scent. Nothing original but easy to wear and adorable.

I'll be honest: I don't really like rose perfumes, they always remind me of air-fresheners. That being said, this is without a doubt the best rose perfume I've ever encountered. I also have rosa rossa from the aqua allegoria line and this extract is a lot better. If it was the same price, I would've definitely bought this one, but at 5 times more expensive...

Unremarkable, and about ten years behind the spicy rose-patch trend. It's a nice perfume, but not necessary, plus the price is casa de la batshit.

Beautiful rose fragrance with an exquisite open. However, I don't enjoy the drydown. Specifically, I don't enjoy how the patchouli comes closer to the front and dulls the rose. This is not a scrubber, nonetheless, I was happy to wash it off at the end of the day. In fairness, my skin chemistry works with so few perfumes, so I think this was a mismatch between fragrance and wearer.

Chérie Guerlain hang-over Choked myself out this morning on 1.5 mls of the Guerlain. A regretfully spent $30 USD for 2 ml. Resulted in a raging headache and migraine that lasted 2-3 hours, appeased only by breakfast brunch at 12:30 pm. it's a very saffron-heavy violet rose, that smells a bit like guerlain's Rose Chérie in the middle and base notes.

A opulent juicy, spicy Rose. Patchouli becomes very potent the more this dries down and starts to remind me of Frederic Malle’s Portrait of a Lady or Eau Capitale by Diptyque, but Rose Centifolia is more Rose forward and more subtle in patchouli and spice. (If you have one of these already, Rose Centifolia might be redundant for you.) *However, so gorgeous layered with Iris Pallida. My favourite combination of them all - I also layered Iris Pallida with Portrait of a lady to see the difference and have to honestly say (i was expecting a very similar outcome) but that combination is definitely more Rose patchouli forward.Still nice, the creamy almond-butter iris and Rose patchouli mix so well, but I prefer it with Rose Centifolia, it is a little less intense combined. 7/10 As Guerlain intend for this Line is for us to create our own little Guerlinad-esque mixture I tested layering this with all the other Extraits and my favourite combinations with this are Iris Pallida and Jasmine Grandiflorum.

Does this have the same type of rose as Rose Barbare 75ml (gold side label, gold packaging and atomizer?) I’m tempted, but even the sample is the $30 and I was completely nose blind to the rose in Rose Barbare. I try it again every year... and just white flowers, honey and blech. The rose in OG TM Cafe Rose and independent Rising Phoenix Attars on Etsy and I know it’s beautiful, but I just can’t smell the beauty. So, I’m leery of Guerlain roses. Conversely, if anyone is interested in the Rose Barbare and the Rising Phoenix Damask Rose attar, please DM.

It starts with the smell of sharp green of real fresh rose oil, and the herbal, astringent, somewhat fishy, also sweet real rose absolute, and ends with amber and patchouli, which makes me sad. this last ruins every real natural feeling. It reminds me of the lesser sharp Renne de Nuit (Byredo) or the more floral, sweet version of Eau Capitale (Diptyque). It is such a ludicrous price but think of nowadays niche brands and their prices... Guerlain wants their right to justice haha.

Tiziana Terenzi Gold Rose Oudh is what this extrait smells like. I Just put this on so not sure of longevity but I know TT last FOREVER and not as expensive. Definitely a winter only scent thinking about layering with Feve Gourmand.

Surprisingly, it's masculine and feminine, and even better on men! Long lasting, one of a kind, and one of the best scents

I smell nothing but Taif Rose! very similar to ASQ Ta'if Rose

the base is from PEARLS DE LALIQUE
