Shalimar Souffle de Parfum 2017

omg what an amaaaaazing scent !!!! i am not a fan of the original - for some reason its a stink bomb on me lol so i never bothered with the off shoots - thinking i wouldnt like them................well several years later- present day today lol - i decided to purchase this scent well i admit for the bottle - i love peacocks & this bottle is soooo beautiful.......... anyway i sprayed thinking i wouldnt like it & instantly went into dreamland after spraying it........its the most amazing scent ever.....i have never had a scent take me away to another dimension lol.....well this one did lol...........i felt like i was in a cloud of lemon-vanilla & musk....super comfy & romantically cozy :) its classy, romantic, soft, powdery, feminine, dreamlike......and it lasted a really long time on me.........so far its been 8 hrs & i can still smell it - yum yum yum so i cant wait to purchase more of shalimars off springs - i hope they are all dreamy.........and maybe one day i might even re-visit the original but i think i will hold off on that for a bit lol - i dont want to ruin any futures sniffs with the other shalimar scents lol

Same fragrance as the solid blue bottle, just in a special edition bottle. Lovely juice in a lovlier bottle.

I bought this mainly for the beautiful bottle, I just couldn't leave the shop without it, it seemed to special not to add to my modest Shalimar collection. Once I actually tested it I loved it- it is definitely a much lighter version than the original, but still very beautiful. I think its perfect for summer, and wear the original for winter. It did smell to me like absolutely delicious lemon meringue, light and airy but still had a surprising longevity and sillage. The vanilla is still pretty much the same vanilla that I adore in the original, and have nothing bad to say about it even if I am not normally a fan of flankers. I need to buy this in a normal bottle so I can spray away, its too precious in this peacock bottle to waste lightly.

I was admittedly only purchasing this at first because of the bottle. I usually don't do such things as I find it to be rather frivolous, but I luckily found myself head over heels for the scent. I had tried it before and while I enjoyed it, I didn't get any Shalimar connection and I also just found it a bit too dense. Once those phases passed, I found myself wearing it almost every day for over a month. It's an incredibly heavy scent, despite the name. Mostly a meringue pie, sweet and citrusy, but also quite full of jasmine of the non indolic variety. Exceedingly beautiful for me.

This is pretty and light and airy. Not too sweet, and with a light citrus scent. Perfect for the office or daily use. It won’t offend anyone. It doesn’t last long on my fair skin - or maybe my nose becomes immune to it. I layer it on top of original Shalimar Body Creme to help boost projection. It’s a safe fragrance to wear, and projects a classy edge. I think females of all ages can comfortably wear this.

I own the 2014 flanker and I can't detect any difference. Souffle is an easy to wear citrus and vanilla fragrance. I can't imagine anyone being bothered by it, and it's light enough to wear before bed, appropriate for any season. And yes, I'm a sucker for the beautiful bottle and that's why I bought it.

Light, airy, citrus plus floral. The name soufflé is very appropriate. This is a great and versatile summer fragrance. I only get a little sweetness from the vanilla, which balances the citrus and florals very well. Excellent for the 90 degree temps. This will be a part of my high heat summer rotation.

I finally tried this from a dancer vial. It’s a skin scent to me. It was very light, and I had to put my nose right up to my skin to smell anything. But what I did smell reminded me of a lemon, vanilla pie. The scent was quite nice, but too soft for me to give a second chance.

Could I trouble any one of you to head me in the direction to find a flanker with the gorgeous peacock embossed on the bottle. I got dupped, and received only the cobalt flanker. Who is to tell what is inside. Did they even pour some of the same juice inside in the blue flanker? There must be someone selling it yet, if the latest review is 11/11/20? An if you are up for a trade, I hav Mon Guerlain, tested only. Not my cup of tea. Thanks to anyone who answers. I am also looking for the D'oranger. Kinda perplexed in maybe they only made a few? I just got this! It’s my first Shalimar and I bought it because of the reviews of a lemon-vanilla which sounded amazing and the bottle is so beautiful with the peacock and sapphire blue cap!! So pretty. But, the perfume is not the lemon-vanilla dessert that everyone is saying! I’m SO incredibly sad but it smells like vintage men’s cologne! That’s the first impression I got from sniffing the bottle. I tried it on my skin and a cotton shirt and still men’s cologne. I woke up this morning and it was still on my arms and clothes but had tamed a bit to be powdery. I tried again, this time spraying into the air and walking into it. I finally got the faint lemon-vanilla! But then it disappeared to the vintage powdery men’s cologne. I’m incredibly sad. I’ll still keep it because of the gorgeous bottle and maybe try again this summer. I live in Minnesota and it’s pretty cold here still. Can anyone recommend a Shalimar that has the lemon vanilla dessert going on? I might try the Cologne (I think from 2005?) next but any advice would be great.

Like I'm chewing on a really unpleasant, old bar of soap, the kind that cuts through grease. It is super heavy and mixed with powder. I've tried to love it, but have to wash it off after an hour because it is so awful. I only get the tiniest bit of citrus in the first spray, but it is not fresh, clean, or airy, and certainly does not smell like lemon cookies. Super disappointed because of the stunning limited edition peacock bottle.

Sadly, my 5mL decant I purchased has turned. Citrus notes are the quickest to go bad as they are often the most natural of ingredients and can expire quickly. Amber notes tend to do well over time so after the pungent expired citrus burns off, I'm left with a pretty soft vanilla perfume. Has anyone purchased a bottle recently and had success? The seller looked as though she had this bottle so I didn't know which bottle was the most recently manufactured and to try that one that hasn't been sprayed or been exposed to larger quantities of air. I also thought I might have more success with the Souffle Intense with the benzoin ingredient added. I know for sure I will not be buying someone's used bottle. Such a tacky tacky thing to do, sell your bottle that you don't want anymore because it's gone bad and you don't want it. Please tell me you don't do things like this. It's just such poor perfume manners. If purchasing a decant of this, ask the seller first of the quality of the perfume. Has it turned? They need to be checking their product. They know-they have to spray it to decant it. It's really disrespectful to Guerlain and Mr. Wasser to sell an item that has gone bad because newer fragrance people might not know what the tell-tale signs of an expired perfume are-me, I just know. It's like knowing the milk has gone bad-it has a slightly rancid smell and you know that this is NOT what they would release. This does not smell lemony, citrus fresh. Smells like old perfume Granny could never part with because her son got it for her overseas in 1962. It's not the perfume's fault-it's the fact that it has oxidized, or not been cared for properly. After all, 8 years is a long time for a citrus perfume. I'd advise to only buy from a reputable seller and needs to be in the box. Find out the last year of production and purchase that edition.

Yes, I got this for the bottle! But it smells pretty good too. It actually reminds me more of Chanel No 5 L'Eau than Shalimar. Like this could be Shalimar's version of L'Eau. Or more like If L'Eau was it's own pillar, Shalimar Souffle de Parfum might be its' more vanilla-heavy flanker. "Chanel No 5 L'Eau - Vanille Extreme" or something... The big difference is that C#5 L'Eau opens with a bright, sparkly citrus accord and the vanilla is way in the background making things sweeter and creamier, and SSdP is the opposite, opens with a powdery cloud of vanilla with the citrus flavor in the background. The vanilla to citrus ratios are different. If you consider orange flower and neroli as interchangeable, then C#5L'E and SSdP have 7 notes in common (and more if you lump all the citrus into one note.) Anyway, if you can resist the beautiful bottle, you can get the same juice for MUCH cheaper in the basic bottle. SSdP feels like it's Shalimar's version of C#5L'E. (Well, I guess actually it would be the opposite since I just double-checked this came out in 2014 and L'Eau not until 2016!) I suggest looking at this without thinking about original Shalimar because they are both very similar and very different. But comparing the two is like comparing a mere mortal to a Goddess. (But it's still nice. I finally have a Shalimar I can wear to the gym!) Edit - It's bedtime here and I just sprayed this on my pillows and oh my! This is one of those perfumes that smells even lovelier on cloth! I'm going to have some pretty dreams tonight!

Excellent Fragrance !! will definitely catch compliments And by saying this, I do also mean it will dominate your presence in the crowd.It has good sillage and you do smell vanilla notes right from the moment you spray. Combination and jasmine and vanilla spreads sweetness but at a same time gives a firm definition to your personality.This fragrance has a sense of maturity and best to be worn by women in 30s to mid 40s. It has a mysterious character as the fragrance keeps jumping between Jasmine and vanilla and so you can never really point out which one is dominating. Would recommend to be worn at casual home parties with friends or families.. Also if you are going for the first time at someone's place for party as it will create a welcoming first impression on others. Good to be worn for Concerts or operas.. Do not recommend this for the Date nights or couple dinner dates as even though a nice fragrance but will dominate in the less crowd making it intruder in the conversations .

O my God thank you Guerlain! A friend of mine in Paris who work in the Guerlain store she gave it to me. This is the newest Shalimar. I have an old Shalimar that my grandmother she wore it when she was alive but this is so much better! Soft and powdery fruity feminine not unisex with good long lasting scent. For me this is so luxurious! I love the citrus the vanilla and the flowers. This is modern and sexy and I love the blue bottle. My friend she told me this is only a limited edition and they sell this as the regular Shalimar Souffle in similar blue bottle. This is delicious like vanilla cake. The flower of orange blossom rose and iris I can smell. Clean and sweet for woman.

@ Arida, I personally wouldn't pay more than 100$ for it. I bought it for 55$ in 2017... unfortunately, I am separated from the lady i bought it for. I wish I could at least beg her for the bottle ,LOL. I regret not buying multiple bottles ... i had initially planned to buy for 3 family members . The peacock is special to us because it's the emblem of our hometown . Remember again ... it's 50ml. Looks too small to me but very beautiful . Good luck .

I got this one from fragrancenet. it is very watered down version, does not last and weak projection. skin scent, a mere shadow of origin. It is good if you only want your boyfriend/lover/husband/mother to smell it. nice smell. bottle design is okay. peacock with purple color. good design but does not give me that luxury impression.

This is disappointing to me and quite yucky. It is nothing like Shalimar nor lemon dessert as the girl before me said- I need to try to get rid of it. I would pick Shalimar any day.

I didn't enjoy the opening part very much it was full of citrus but the dry down is amazing. Full creamy vanilla and jasmine. Almost like lemon cheesecake :D Lovely.

I like Shalimar Souffle and would be very tempted to purchase it if I could find this very attractive bottle.
