Guess Amore Portofino

A pleasant, blue, ultra-safe shower gel scent. A safe reach if you're on your way to the shower, on your way out of the shower, on your way to the gym to work out, or on your way to the gym to take a shower before going back to living in your car. Of the two supposedly genderless scents I've tried from this Amore line - the other being Venezia - that one was too feminine to be unisex, and this one is far too masculine. Guess needs to have their noses checked out, and I mean that they need to have their actual perfumers investigated by a team of psychiatric health professionals, because they have failed at creating a truly genderless scent (which is totally subjective anyhow) twice now, and this is real serious business...

I am female and I like this fragrance a lot. It starts kind of manly (top notes), but the fragrance develops unisex. I can wear unisex fragrances so no problem for me, I like the scent the most of the whole series. At first Portofino reminded me of a licorice candy. The fragrance is sweet, kind of oriental-spicy-gourmand even. The sillage is moderate and lasting time is about 12 hours or more on me. A bit suede-like. Patchouli, vetiver, salt and cypress noticeable, salt too. Not too much of geranium fortunately. Not a wowzer but really nice to wear.

This one’s fine, it’s pleasant, safe, bright. Not really a head turner but it is very nice and fresh. Safe to say this would make a solid Dumb reach fragrance for work or gym. I got my bottle for $22 and I wouldn’t pay much more for it. Terracotta? Come on...

I blind buyed this one for every day use in the cold weather and was absolutely the perfect choise, the terracode in the opening, blended with the citrics are a great warm combination, perfect for daily use in winter time especialy.

I got it from a sample from a perfume shop when I bought YSL libre intense. From my point of view, although it is described as a unisex perfume, this perfume is a male perfume which it is not my cup of tea. My first impression was like typical male scent: dark greenish aromatic scent. when I gave it a try to my boyfriend, he liked it very much. As it is a typical scent it would be a great gift for men.
