Guess Seductive Homme

A browsing, newbie nose versus an experienced nose makes all the difference! I originally tried Guess Seductive back in summer of 2013 while testing several other fragrances. I wrote this off as an odd, sweet blob of a fragrance and moved on to the latest Ed Hardy gimmick (at the time it was the Skull & Roses fragrance). Fast forward 4 years later, I kept seeing Guess Seductive pop up in threads and recent Fragrantica reviews. The reviews intrigued me each time - whether positive or negative. By this time, the fragrance was so inexpensive, no stores locally carried it. Thus, I couldn't go and sample it again. So I took the plunge and I purchased the 3.4oz for $15. I'm glad I did! It became an instant love for me! Seductive opens with iced tropical fruits. At times, these iced tropical fruits can resemble the tropical flavor of Skittles with the sweet "citrus" fruits slightly dominating (pineapple, mandarin, orange, etc). This icy tropical fruit accord lasts for close to an hour. In the meantime, the amber and musk are peaking through this wonderfully fruity and sweet top and heart notes. The musk comes through first and Guess Seductive starts to truly get... well seductive . The reason for this is because the musk is "sweat-on-clean-skin" type of musk. Like the erotic smell of a man after a few drinks and he's been dancing for a good hour out on the dancefloor. Inhibitions are disappearing, you're feeling comfortable, you're just out having a great time, and you get a whiff of him. As cheesy as that sounds, it's true that Guess Seductive is seductive! Who would have guessed? The iced tropical fruits / Skittles accord submits to the amber and musk for the drydown. The drydown is where Seductive can be perceived as unisex with a masculine slant due to the musk. I can imagine a wonderful night out with a date... maybe the third or fourth date where PG13 rated physical contact might happen... smelling this sweet, fruity musk would be so tantalizing! I highly recommend this to newbies who like sweet and fruity fragrances. Yes, it's synthetic, but not jarringly so... not anymore than any other designer level fragrance. Sugared fruits, musk, and amber is the simplest way to describe Guess Seductive. A definite recommend from me!

This smells sweet but not in an obnoxious way. A very inoffensive smell that I think few people would dislike, although it doesn't do anything that absolutely blows me away, except provide a sweet and somewhat warm "glow" type of scent. In that way I think it would be a pretty safe blind buy. Occasionally I detect a faint grape note, and as I don't really like grapes that would be a negative, but I think it won't really smell like grape to most people. Perhaps it's just what the mix of Orchid, Violet, and Vetiver smell like to my nose, as I'm still new to fragrances and aren't used to smelling flowers. Edit: Wore it some more. To me it has fairly low projection, which can be a good thing depending on your preferences. There is a very pleasant ambery smell that I find quite addictive in this. Although it's meant to be more of a "date night" or cold weather scent, because it doesn't have any polarizing aromas and its projection is on the weaker end, I really think you could wear it in the office. It also doesn't smell like an "older man's" fragrance to me, it would likely appeal to the younger crowd.

For 20 bucks it's an unbelievable bargain, it truly has a more expensive cologne feel to it. My nose must be different because I don't get all sweet, the amber powder is what gets me, I just don't get how powder can come off so strongly sweet but hey we're all different. I love powder colognes and this amber dominates all other notes in seductive. I can't imagine any girl not finding this smell nice. Although different it's flanker seductive blue is a great smell too. Either way this cologne is seductive, it definitely lives up to its name. I don't care if youre new or have 40 colognes, for 20 bucks this deserves to be in every collectors collection. Sillage and longevity are just okay. Nothing great, not terrible either

For those who think yall going to get a YSL LNDL clone, just so yall know it smells nothing like YSL LNDL. YSL is more floral and a bright scent that has lavender and bergamot which for some reason when those 2 mixed together make a bright floral smell. This cologne is more musk warm, yes it has orchids and violet leaves but it’s very small amount.. The only thing I smelled possibly similar was the cardamon THATS IT!! I did side by side on tester sheet and skin. This cologne actually SMELLS BETTER THAN YSL!! And that’s saying a lot from me bc YSL LNDL is my favorite cologne!! But doesn’t last as long as LNDL. But very good cologne it smells realllllllly good!!

This is a wonderful fragrance for the price point. I have almost 70 fragrances and still wanted this one in my collection. I like to toss it on for work in the cool weather, it wears well. It has a slight masculine edge about it and also a touch of an old school vibe to it. It also possesses some richness/sweetness to it that pairs nicely with everything else. It actually reminds me some of Burberry - Brit which I love. I was able to get the gift set that comes with the 3.4oz cologne, the body spray and body wash along with a cool little zipper bath bag. Price was fantastic for everything included.

Leaving another review on Guess Seductive Homme. If you’re looking for a very budget friendly cooler weather fragrance thats extremely appealing, masculine but also slightly playful then look no further. This fragrance checks all those boxes well. This is one of the few budget fragrances that isn’t trying so hard and or trying to be something else. It does its own sort of thing and it does it well especially considering the price point. To be fair even if this stuff costs $80 I still believe it to be worth its value in smell and performance. Try it out if you haven’t yet, it’s definitely worth it!

while everyone may say this smells like ysl lndl, I actually think it smells more like Ysl Myslf, but without the smooth vanilla and a more peppery opening. obviously not the same quality, but for the price this smells REALLY good, like I said , almost like ysl myslf in that bubblegum sweet, powdery, citrusy, slightly musky aspect. Honestly in scent alone is in my top 5, if only it was reaally high quality. This has actually gotten me compliments from different female friends, and sometimes it doesn’t hurt to overspray as you won’t be hurting your wallet buying this. Recommend 100%

Who said that fragrances have to get compliments have to turn heads have to command your presence. This is sensual and sexy this sits close to the skin but I cant stop smelling it your not going to get a bunch of compliments with this scent but you will get a very happy gf or wifey with her nose buried in your chest and thats what this scent is for people "seductive" cmon this is a 10 in that situation absolute amber peppery soft sexiness. Scent: 10/10 Projection: 4/10 Longetivity: 6/10 If you use it the way its meant tk be used you'll enjoy it.

Half vanilla, half amber. I love it. Those big 6oz body spray cans sell on Amazon for $8.45, basically the same price-per-oz as Axe typically is (4oz for $4.50). It smells similar to Axe Gold (Oud Wood and Dark Vanilla) but much better and much sweeter. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. Out of all the aerosol body sprays I've used, this is by far my favorite. Really impressive for the price. I can see how the staying power and potency is considered somewhat low, which is certainly true, but for a sale price I can totally forgive it.

This kicks off with lots and lots of pink pepper with citric/aromatic notes. As the scent starts to develop on my skin I can definitely detect vanilla orchid, which is sweet, but not too sweet at all since it's perked up by the violet leaf. In the dry-down I get earthy patchouli blent with creamy sandalwood and sensual amber. The notes and reviews made it sound to me that it would be suitable for women as well. But now I can say that it is definitely masculine, not even unisex. However, I would still wear it because it smells great! ♥♥♥♥

This is amazing! I've never liked any of the Guess fragrances, a matter of fact i hated them, but I discovered this beast last week and fell in love. It's warm, it's sweet, and fuggin sexy. I tested it at Ulta and it actually lasted on me for quite a while, even after I worked out. I made it my mission to add this bad boy to my collection, and picked up a 3.4oz bottle today.

To me this smells like Gucci Guilty the first one, the EDT. I'm not sure why people haven't put the two together yet. For me this is one of the best Guess fragrances if you're curious about the Guess brand. This is affordable and an easy blind buy. If you buy this blindly you won't be disappointed, it's fantastic! A fragrance for dates and mass appeal.

This is an amazing aromatic amber fragrance. Reminds LNDL from YSL. As skin scent it lasts around 5-6 hrs. Projects for half an hour to one hour Max if macerated. Inoffensive, intimate, aromatic fragrance. I use it as mood booster at home in the evening. I have a year old bottle macerated well. Perfect for evenings. Not synthetic at all. 10/10.

I ran out of Curve several months ago. Was at Ross and decided I wanted a new scent. Curve is all I've worn now for years. Blind bought this because it was cheap. $14.99 for a 50ml. Opened it up and fell in love! Then I decided I wanted to sample more cheap stuff and now I'm an fragrance addict. But this is still one of my favorites.

Great blind buy, Had no regrets and now I'm going for my second bottle. A very affortable younger version of La Nuit. Be careful with the sprays since the dry down is very very sweet Cardamon/Vanilla and Amber I'll Rate this 8/10 overall IMHO. Buy/Try/Pass: Buy! for any under 30. I does fits me well (College student 22 YO)

Sometimes I need to smell some male perfumes for myself. It was a bargain, a blind impulse order online, you said it was sweet, and it is, and I love sweet perfumes, and this beauty smells great in my nose and on my skin =)) It's a big love from me, 9 of 10 ;))

bought this blindly because of it being labeled a "sweet" scent...and boy am i glad i did...very sweet and almost playful(?) like more of a come smell more sweet then a smell like cake 10 from feet away scent

In 2019 this became the first fragrance I ever owned. It's pretty good! Works well for cooler weather. Not very strong and doesn't last so long but I will always love it for being my gateway drug.

Sweet, has a hint of alcohol or synthetic-ness, gives a cool (as in cold) vibe. Good for office and winters. One spray lasts 2-3 hours or I get used to the smell.

Smelled this on a tester at target. It reminded me axe dark temptation but stepped up a notch and made more unique. This and adam Levine are on my shopping list!

Man this is Fantastic ❤️ One of the best under 50$ fragrance. Highly underrated fragrance. A Versatile fragrance but best for Winter nights.

Definitely a going-out fragrance. Okay for the office, but goes on cold dry skin well, and lasts a good 3-4 hours. Good first date smell.

best smell worst lasting power!

This is not in my rotation, and I have only worn it maybe twice in the 1-2 years I’ve had it. I don’t know why. It smells very nice. I just sprayed it to test before bed (I do that with ones I want to revisit) and I don’t know why I pass on this in the daytime. I’ll wear it tomorrow I think. Anyways.. It opens fruity sweet. Some have compared it to skittles and yes, I get the comparison. It’s not a sharp cheapo opening either. It’s pretty smooth and not headache enducing like some very fruity scents can be. I am sensitive to mandarin, meaning sometimes that’s all I smell if it’s in the top notes, but this ones more subtle. Almost like a multi flavored fruit candy (not syrupy) with softness from the florals. About 5-10 min in the “skittles” vibe is still there just more calm, and the vetiver/violet/orchid give it a nice light touch. Still fruity, only lighter and more inviting. It’s sweet with some warmth, with a little tartness kind of like chewy spree. Gotta be chewy. As it dries down I get some powder (not too much which is good since I’m not a fan) and the fruit and florals are keeping it light enough that it’s not flat. Once it’s fully dried down I get a warm, floral, slightly spicy amber scent with a light fruit accord hangin on. After all the candy references I wouldn’t consider this gourmand.. but it satisfies my sweet tooth. Ages are college and up, as the dry down is a bit more refined than some linear fruity scents. Definitely evolves. Day to night (possibly literally) since the opening is sweet and playful, and the dry down is heavier, creamier, and more.. seductive. Seasons are all year round, but might not be suited for scorching heat as it could get cloying. I’d say spring/early summer, fall and nice winter days though it won’t cut through the cold. Projection is just ok and longevity could be better on my skin. I’ll definitely be wearing this more this year, and I’m glad I decided to revisit. Overall.. good juice.

Watch out and take cover here comes a candy bomb! Sheesh I wish Guess had made a sweet energy drink that smelled like this because I'd go out and buy me a six pack or two. I was amazed by this stuff and my soul has a hard time dealing with sweet stuff but this comforted my soul. And to think I almost laughed at the waitress who recommended Guess Seductive to me but she was right... its a fun scent you don't need to take so seriously! First spray is a storm of sweet and spicy pork but with out the pork. Instead of pork its like a piece of wood was thrown in there for good measure. And then the substance begins to change to a powdery sweet deal that begins to set on your skin and continues this for an hour or two. The strong lollipop candy begins to fade out and makes way to the wonders of the earth... wood!!! And it finally ends with a faint smell of sandalwood and a orange vanilla flavored lollipop thats been watered down. Not my go to scent but better for the younger crowd and for those nights you want to have fun. I rather be smelling sweet women and not be the one who smells like candy but hey if a girl wants to bite me I am cool with it. 8 out of 10

Scent: 4/5 - The opening cardamom and pink pepper smell fantastic and remind me of YSL's La Nuit De L'Homme. The problem with this fragrance is that it's all about that opening, and there's not much after that. Longevity: 1/5 - Pretty much on par with D&G's The One for me. Having said that, since it's cheap, reapplication is a viable option. Sillage: 3/5 - Wouldn't write home about it. The opening projects respectably, then falls apart after that. Design & Packaging: 2/5 - It's big and cumbersome. The lid and part where the brand are smudge really easily and leave water residue marks like no other. And the lid is lightweight, so I can't get off over it. But hey, we don't buy fragrances for their design, right? Riiight? Value: AU25¢/mL (I paid AU$25 for 100mL from Terry White) ----- As others have said, this is a great beginner or casual fragrance. The opening and price are both really good. For a more serious collector, La Nuit De L'Homme is a more respectable choice. Both this and La Nuit De L'Homme inspired me to go and buy cardamom just for the scent. Turns out it also tastes great in oatmeal.

I have a hard time over complicating this. Generally I just think of skittles when I smell this as others have said. That being said bang for your buck I think this is fantastic. You can easily pick this up at places like marshalls for 20 bucks no problem. It gets good compliments, and although longevity projection isnt huge by any means it lasts a reasonable amount of time for what your spending. Chances are you dont get a full day out of it, but 5 hours or so is reasonable. Honestly my only compliant would be that I find it boring. There isnt much change, theres that pink pepper at the begining to tingle your nose, but I always think of skittles from begining to end so I do find myself bored while wearing it despite the compliments sometimes. For other stuff similar to it, one that hasnt been mentioned is curve crush. Surpised no one has mentioned this yet that I see. Both have a pretty similar vibe. For what its worth if you are one of those that care about bottles, the bottle is nice however it is very cheaply made so beware.

Guess Seductive Homme instantly reminds me of the dry down(best part) of Polo Ralph Lauren Explorer. If you like that one, and can't find it now that it's discontinued, this will make an excellent replacement. It doesn't have Explorer's bubble gum sweet opening, however the warm richness of Explorer's dry down is where GSH starts and finishes. I mostly detect the base notes in this one along with the pepper and mostly vetiver in dry down. It's good! Seductive Homme is an appropriate name for the newest Guess fragrance. Perfect for Fall and Winter evenings. It will also work in any setting and in any season when you are comfortable wearing it. As long as you are feeling a little seductive. Edit: 11/02/12 For me this DOES smell very similar to Polo Explorer and I am familar with both more than simply having sampled them. We all have our opinions and experience fragrance in different ways. Wow!

I like this. To me its a "I don't take myself too seriously" kind of smell. Kind of inviting for women to strike up a conversation. Sweet and playful cologne. I do see the Skittles comparison and who doesn't like themselves a big ol' slice of Skittles? The price is awesome and the only knock I have is that, on me, this stuff just doesn't last or project. Neither. I'll smell some Skittles when I initially put it on and within 20 minutes it becomes a skin scent. After an hour it's just gone and it needs to rain more Seductive. Shame because otherwise I'd wear this more often. Could just be me. Maybe I'm just not the right person for rainbows to flourish. Anyways, you'll only smell the rainbow for a short while and then, like a rainbow, it fades quickly.I Man, I'd gladly pay more for this if Guess reformulated it and made it stronger. It would be worth it.

Very pleasant fragrance! Very mass appealing and very youthful smelling! It's perfect for a younger guy, teens to 30's. I took a spritz from a body spray bottle at Ross and immediately went over to the fragrance section to get this in the 3.4 oz eau de toilette which was only 20 bucks. This is all over at discount stores! Seductive Homme is perfect if you're young and just starting out with fragrances and you want to smell good for the pretty ladies. This is a very good fragrance and I haven't smelled anything quite like it. I'm also now interested in trying the Seductive Homme Blue which is all over discounters as well. This was a lucky gem that I wasn't expecting to find! I give this a 9.2/10 If you want a crowd pleasing scent that is very affordable and lasts until the next day on clothes then GO FOR THIS!

This smells really good. It is pretty light, and borderline feminine. It is sweet, but not too sweet. I mainly get amber and floral notes from this, maybe a hint of spice. I think it is pretty versatile, not ideal for summer though. The performance is ok, I notice it lasts alot longer on clothes than skin. I would say it's a nice, safe, inexpensive beginner fragrance. Update: Randomly decided to spray this today after several months. Wow, it smells incredible! There's really nothing masculine about this fragrance, but there's no denying it smells good. I've grown to prefer more masculine, less sweet fragrances, but there might still be room in my rotation for this. It smells fruity, floral, sweet, with maybe a hint of spice. Very youthful.

As the name implies there's a seductive quality to this fragrance. The orchid takes center stage and it's definitely a vanilla orchid accord delivering a warm sweetness that captivates you from the start. As the other notes begin to emerge they further add to this slightly spicy, warm, floral symphony. This is a sweet men's fragrance done correctly. Never did I find it to cross into sickly saccharine territory or that overly loud bubblegum cry for attention some others have. It's not gourmand, but does resemble a delicious confectionary scent like cupcakes baking in your oven mixed with that ambered spice. Performance could be better, not a lot of projection after a while and it lasts a few hours but for $11 this is an absolute gem.

Don't let this escape notice at Rack stores! I passed over this and the rest of the line multiple times thinking it was cheap and Guess brand so probably just not worth it at all. Got this one and sprayed on a hot day (idk why but who cares). This stuff was projecting off my skin for several hours and detectable hours after that. Like a scent I really noticed on myself. Comparison? I don't know many of the ones listed above, but I think there are similarities to Gucci Envy. It is NOT gucci envy dupe or substitute, but if you like Gucci Envy I think you would like this at the price point especially. It is sweeter than Envy also I should add. But I'm surprised! Worth $20 for 100 ml easily.

If there was ever a fragrance that evokes the color purple in someones mind, this would be it. Truly a nice sweet and unique scent. If you take a fun sized bag of skittles and chew them all up at the same time, the taste translates to the opening of this fragrance. An almost candy like opening which later settles down with the spice from the pink pepper and little hints of musk. Longevity is pretty good on my skin. 6-8 hours easily. Sillage is great for the first few hours as well. If your looking for something that is attractive and fairly safe and you don't want to smell like the typical aquatic ADG fragrances, Guess Seductive Homme is for you!!

Love at first sniff. In offensive, sweet, but not sticky sweet. Enough musk to keep it masculine. It does project ok for the first 30 min. Musk pops out a bit more in the dry down and then the layers like the violet leaf and vetiver becomes more noticeable. Youthfull more night out, but can be worn anywhere. Spray away with this one because it's not real strong and it won't offend. Due to its light nature it can be worn any time of year even in Fl, but is better suited for night or cooler weather. Scent 8/10 Sillage 5/10 Longevity 4/10 Price 8/10 Overall glad I bought this at the rack store. It's a dumb reach when I just don't know what to wear.

The DNA and price on this scent are safe for someone new to colognes. That being said, this scent goes from a 2 hour projection, to 6-7 hours after macerating for 6 months or so. This brings me back to when I got into sales. I bought this in early fall not knowing a ton about fragrances and started wearing it when this cologne shines the most (55-65 degree day temps). I will absolutely always have this cologne in my collection, and it is one of those perfect dumb reach frags for fall days when you're unsure what to wear. OH AND IT'S CHEAP AND INOFFENSIVE! 7.5/10 overall rating IMO when you factor price and versatility.

Update: this has now become one of my favorite fragrances. You get alot for what it is; a very pleasing scent. Worth every penny! After having seen gift box sets at TJ Maxx and watching a YouTube review, I decided to try a small 1.7oz bottle of this fragrance. It's nice, different then CK Reveal, although they do share a similarity at the outset, but that's all. This quickly changes into a sharp, peppery top note, and then gets ever slightly sweet with the violet and then the musk. I paid 14.99 at Burlington. Not bad at all. Longevity is 7 hours on me; at 3.5 hours, it's a skin scent and sillage is moderate at best.

This fragrance is definitely suitable to wear at night in cold days. The scent to me is very close to Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Men, which I have bought a week ago. I think probably because of the amber & pepper make them quite close, but this one is not as strong as 212 VIP Men, so if you like something strong for party / clubbing, pick 212 VIP Men for sure. If you want something seductive but mild like a dating, and you don't want to smell too strong, this one could be one of a possible choice. Since I've got 212 VIP Men already, I would consider this one again for substitution of 212 VIP Men once finished it...

Opens with a bold burst of pepper and bright citrus, energetic and attention-grabbing. As it settles, the composition shifts into a beautifully clean, woody drydown that feels warm and quietly masculine. For me, it really shines on colder evenings — there’s something comforting and subtly elegant about it. My only gripe is the longevity. My bottle is a few years old, so that may be the culprit, but on my skin it fades after about 1–2 hours. If it lasted longer, it would easily be a much more frequent wear for me. Still, the scent itself is undeniably well done and absolutely worth enjoying.

I had the Body Spray well before trying the cologne & much prefer the Spray. It’s more powdery Which I REALLY enjoy. It makes the scent more masculine balancing the sweet. More linear- orange skittles, amber, powder, cardamom & lacks a lot of the patchouli. Hints at LNDL & Endymion Cologne. Cologne is way more fruity sweet for the first 1hr+ Opening/mid: Basically fruity pebble’s cotton candy w/ an amber musk. Orchid helps to lend a bit of freshness. Dry down: classic patchouli Fougère dry down like for ex.. found in Antidote, Viking.. Late Dry down: patchouli & sandalwood

i got some samples of this. i find Guess Homme Seductive very pleasant, warm spicy with a sexy, manly attitude. it's better than many expensive perfumes for sure. a great cheap fragrance in my opinion, u can use it in every situation and i can assure girls love it. better for fall and winter, but it can be wearable in cold summer nights. a great deal!grazie. scent: 7,5 longevity: 7,5 sillage: 7,5 versatility: 8 uniqueness: 6,5 bottle:6 my vote: 7,5 in one word: bargain

I have had Paco Rabanne's Invictus for a while and today purchased Guess Seductive Homme and wow the openings are super similar but the dry down is a little different but not by alot. I get a little bit of Gucci Guilty on the dry down. Guess Seductive transitions into a skin scent very fast but I don't mind it for the price. It really is an amazing scent. I will be wearing this on colder days and nights. Smell: 7/10 Performance: 5/10 Price: 9/10

This perfume was a blind buy but it was the purchase that i made, this is a good masculine winter fragrance. I love the spicy and citrusy intro that transitions to this cozy, woody, musky and a hint of sweet undertones (once it was fully dried down i kept smelling my wrist trying to figure out why it smelled like cloud (very sweet ariana grande perfume). I use 4 spray on my pulse points on my clothes and sticks on through out the day at school.

Well, I had some doubts about this, but at 6.50 euro on discount for 100ml, who can resist?? I'm not normally a fan of blends of sweetness morphing into one scent. They usually end up tacky, in my opinion. But this one pulls it off nicely. I'd say it is a good scent with poor performance. Just double spray. I'm not disappointed but not exactly thrilled either. There is better stuff to be had, save your money for something better.

Smells like generic "For Men" kinda shower gel to me. Fresh indeed, just not really interesting. Cardamom is kind of nice, it has that La Nuit de L'homme vibe, but not that refined, the musk is not disturbing at all. It's a safe, boring fragrance. It's for the man who wanna smell good, but not interested in fragrances, and just wanna grab something which will provide the "just out of the shower" feeling. 5/10
