Guess Seductive Noir Homme

This was the first fragrance I ordered from an online discounter almost a year ago. Total blind buy. I was really new to this game and didn't know what to expect, but I'd read some good reviews and it was cheap so why not? I was impressed when I first smelled it. Smooth, elegant, and really pleasant. But meh, I was sure there were better fragrances out there. After a year of exploring the vast landscape of men's fragrances and spending and reselling over $1000 worth of products, I could never let this one go. I heard it was like 1 million, so I tried them side by side. They're very similar, but I like this one more. Someone said it was similar to Boss Bottled EDP and I get that same vibe... but the vetiver for BB didn't sit well on me. Guess Seductive Noir is just a solid, beautiful fragrance that is a safe bet both in smell and price point. It doesn't knock anyone's socks off, but not one person I've asked has disliked it or even said it was just okay. Everyone likes it. Like water it morphs to it's surroundings. It can be dark and classy, or subtle and soothing, or fresh and clean. I've heard all those compliments. Worth a try 100%.

Everyone else says that it's close to 1 Million, but that's just the sweetness. 1 Million is pretty spicy with it cinnamon, but this fragrance doesn't have any spice to my nose. Which scent is 100% an individual's personal perception, and I get that. But I do own a fragrance that is a dead ringer for this one. Zara's Intense Dark Exclusive is exactly the same in the opening and mid. I'm sure that they remain identical through the dry-down also as they are both very much linear scents, but I honestly haven't compared that side by side and so I won't pass judgement on that part just yet. I like both, though I do enjoy the opening of the Zara frag a little bit more as the apple note is brighter and a tad less synthetic than the Guess fragrance. Though I think I prefer the mid of the Guess fragrance a little more as it literally seems to gain potency for the first 45 minutes to hour of wear. I'm going to go wash my left hand and test them side by side through to the dry-down and complete this review afterwards.

A great example of an ‘Excellent Cologne’. Off the rip when spraying it you get this Orange filled aroma with a mixture of chocolate, vanilla, and black pepper. It smells quite exactly like Paco Rabanne’s “One Million” cologne; the scent then slowly fades into this fresh and sweet orange, pepper with a hint of a grape fruit smell that is beautiful. In my opinion this fragrance is 9.2/10! Arguably the best one in my collection.

Guess Noir Men is a sophisticated fragrance that opens with fresh bergamot and evolves into a warm heart of lavender and spices. I purchased the blue edition before I bought the noir and the blue seems to really shine during colder weather cause I just didn’t like it when it was warmer out. about the noir it’s very synthetic on the blast just like the others but the dry down is semi luxurious I say it reminds me of a Cadillac :) modest yet elegant,it’s opening is very off putting but it’s perfect for layering once it drys down.

Instead of Invictus Victory or Azzaro The Most Wanted just get this for half the price! This is a sweet night out fragrance but good for day time purposes as well. I get a similarity to the first Guess Seductive, very bubblegum sweet but more Noir! This is a love at first sniff if you like this genre of sweet men's fragrances and it's an easy blind buy! For me this is worth getting a backup bottle!

This is a real hidden gem, If 1Million and Invictus spawned a cologne this would be it. I do not feel it is a clone, similar scent yes, but this would work well in the cooler months. Is starts out slightly spicy with the black pepper but within 20 minutes the Tonka is shouting, this is the sweet creaminess people are smelling. No problem on a blind buy either and 100ml <$20.00

Okay, for the price, all I can say is AMAZING. I get so many compliments from this fragrance and I just feel good about myself when I'm wearing it. It's definitely one of my daily go-to's. Longevity is very good and the balance of the different notes is incredible. I'm overly happy with this blind buy!

I am no perfumer nor have a nose that picks up different notes. On the opening I do get 1 million vibes and in the dry down I start to get somewhat of Givenchy gentleman boisée. I like it very much. I have yet to test longevity, but for a cheap fragrance additional resprays wont hurt.

Wow. Bought 100ml for €18. This opens up like a 2014 1 million batch (got one). But it settles down into a mix of 1 million and spicebomb extreme. About 60/40. About to test sillage and longevity but for the price this is actually really good! My new dumb to reach fragrance.

Just discovered this and I must say it is amazing. It has a very manly smell. I noticed a chemical smell mentioned by other users but it isn't overwhelming imo. You could wear this pretty much anywhere. 8.5/10.

It's an unnecessary clone of 1 Million which doesn't outperform or even match the performance of the original and it's sold for half the price of an already cheap and accessible fragrance

Very good value for money. No synthetic smell or middle eastern vibe (I bought this at a cost less than most of the popular middle eastern fragrance) 1 million's vibe/DNA in a budget.

One of the best winter smells ever. For 35 dollar at chemist warehouse this cheapie rocks. I sprayed it 11 hours ago and it smells great. The bottle looks great too.

The best guess fragrance and one of the best cheapies in the market, gets compliments and very suitable for cold winter days or autumn nights.

I immediately understand why everyone compares it to Paco Rabanne 1 Million but IMHO a better comparison would be the orginal Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb. The openings are almost identical. However, GSHN wastes no time moving into a sweet and fruity stage as it begins to dry down and this clearly top of everyone's mind based on the posts below me. Once fully dry, the sweet spice returnsa little as it settles into a powdery, musky and aromatic full drydown. The spice is much more noticeable and lasts longer on clothing than on skin. This is incredible value for the money as it's a discount fragrance and punches far above its low price point. So far so good. It's far superior to both the original and the Blue flanker in the line. Where it falls is that it's two main draws, the spice and the fruity sweetness, fade away far too quickly for my liking, leaving just the fresh powder and musk behind. This invites overspraying to get the opening and middle to last longer but that incurs the risk of the end notes becoming too strong and turning soapy and unpleasant. There are far better performers that fall into the spicy/oriental aroma family that have staying power on the spicy notes at all price levels (discount, clone, designer, niche). The entire Spicebomb line, Davidoff's Hot Water, YSL Tuxedo and its various clone competitors just to name a few. Note, however, that you also won't get these at the price you can get GSHN for. This is very good for cooler months, outdoor activities and formal occasions. It leans older for men in their 30s and above. Overall a very good buy at a great price unless you already have other better spicy/oriental style colognes in your collection already. I also want to note that the black and gold square bottle is really quite beautiful and stylish. IMHO this really deserves a stronger reformulation and a higher price tag that would raise this from discount level into a designer level cologne.

Blind bought this cheapie! I have the original (as well as Blue) so I wanted to add to the collection. If you're looking for something similar to those, I'm not sure I would bother. It has the clean powdery vibe that the others do? but not much else is similar. First impressions: it smells like 1 Million! But as someone who owns both, I wouldn't call it a clone. I find it closer to Halloween Man Shot (which I also have). It says grapefruit is a top note, but I get more of that fruitiness underneath the apple in the mids. Some people compare this apple/lavender to Ultra Male but its just SOO much more spicier. Overall? I'm not the biggest fan of this style because I kind of associate it with an old, outdated, unsavory man trying to get some action at a club or casino. Especially on the first few minutes of it. Not really my vibe. PUTTING THAT ASIDE, I like the peppery freshness of this one more than 1 Mil. My girlfriend likes it on me too, so even if it's not my favorite I've gotten decent compliments from it. I would probably skip this one if you're a teenager... If you already have 1 Million/Halloween Man Shot I might skip this one as well. Some people even compared this to Cuba Gold but I still prefer this over that one for sure. For $15-20? If you want something like the fragrances I mentioned, but a little younger and more versatile, it's a steal. I'd definitely wear this on a date or a night out for dinner where I don't really want to reek of the same frag the morning after, but still want a nice and sweet skin scent. It's more fall/winter, but you could wear this indoors in a cold space! Definitely an evening scent though. I'd give it a 7/10. Opening can be a bit harsh, but I love the dry down.

I bought a bunch of random fragrances from TJ Maxx on clearance one day about three months ago, and one of them was a 50ml of Guess Seductive Noir for 8 bucks. My fiance absolutely loved this fragrance, and two of her best friends gave it extremely positive reactions too. I decided to learn more about it as I had never heard of the house before, and in researching it on Fragrantica, I saw several people claim it was a 1 Million clone. One person said it was basically a bargain 1 Million with less longevity. I had always wanted to get into the 1 Million line anyways and had never gotten my nose on it before, so I finally got a bottle a month or so ago and I'll be damned if this isn't nearly identical to 1 Million! The biggest difference is it just doesn't last as long. The longevity isn't bad though. I honestly couldn't believe how close it is. I decided to compare them again today, having tested 1 Million out quite thoroughly since then, and it is STILL right on the money. If you can't afford some 1 Million, or just happen to stumble across Guess Seductive Noir at a steal, pick it up. It definitely doesn't have the same longevity but the scent is spot on. Seriously, this stuff is CRAZY close to it. I'm usually the guy who thinks clones are never as similar as people say, but this one smells totally indistinguishable to me on both tester strip and skin.

Blind buy and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't like 1 million. To me the dry down is way too much. The leather patchouli and the animalic accord do not smell good to me. This has a much softer dry down. It's more fresh spice and woody . At first spray it's not as good as 1million . But it follows the same road. You get the opening then it gets a little powdery then it settles. But right away " 1 million " will pop into your head. While 1 million goes into a warm spiced animalic patchouli dry down Noir goes into a fresh spiced lavender but stay in the 1 million range with the amber nutmeg and tonka. I was very surprised by this fragrance. Yeah this doesn't have all the notes and the higher quality ingredients but it smells great . Anyone that has a love/hate for 1 million should give this a try. It's a simple version of it and for $12 for a 1oz bottle it's worth a shot. Noir, so it's obviously an evening fragrance . Not formal but just about any evening occasion . Performance isn't bad. 6 sprays on my chest and arms have me about 2 to 3 hours of projection and a skin scent for another 2 or 3. It is pretty strong for the first hour so unless you are a very heavy sprayer I say stop at 6. Overall I like this and it does have a place in my collection. Once it dries down it smells higher quality. Solid fragrance 6/10

This smells like apples and incense with a balsamic twist, definitely a fall scent for me, it has a bit of a "boutique shop" smell you'd get around Halloween. Not saying that's bad at all, but I regret waiting until mid March to pick this up. It does smell good, albeit a little on the cheap and synthetic side. On my skin this is extremely linear, what you smell in the first 5 minutes is what you get for the next 5-6 hours. In terms of value for your money this is good stuff, especially for a beginning collector or enthusiast. Decent smell, decent longevity, decent performance and more people (specifically ladies) seem to like it rather than dislike it. This could be cloying in high heat or close environments so make sure you test this on your skin before getting trigger happy and getting all up in people's space. All in all this is the first Guess fragrance I've purchased that I didn't immediately regret, picked it up from fragrancex for like 20$, putting this into "hidden gem" territory.

This fragrance is very bold and great for the winter seasons. I think the black pepper spices up the grapefruit note pretty well (literally). The starting scent is very strong and leaves your nose buzzing. I believe it has a hair gel-esque smell but that might just be me. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the opening as it was just too much to be considered pleasant. But after a while of letting it cool, I was surprised about the dry-down! The entire smell is flipped on its head as it becomes very fresh, floral, and a little sweet while still having the same space as before. It's a very mature scent so I wouldn't suggest buying this if you want something youthful. Even though I do like this fragrance I don't see myself recommending it especially with some similar more expensive fragrances overshadowing it. However, if you are on a budget and you like spice or just want something that smells high quality but inexpensive, go ahead!

I stumbled upon this one at Kohls and wasn’t expecting it to be the one I purchased at all, but when I sprayed it I immediately enjoyed it! From the opening to the mid you get a fruity fresh sweet and spicy apple with and creamy sandalwood, tonka base. It’s mass appealing for sure and resembles some PR and HB scents, it’s definitely worth the money for what you’re paying. Don’t listen to the so called fragrance “specialists” it’s not a mess and it’s not overly synthetic at all. It’s not all natural of course but it’s not terribly “synthetic”. Most people try to use this to seem like they really know what they’re talking about and persuade you to move away from the fragrances they dislike when they really don’t know anything. This is a safe fall/winter purchase easily. Do yourself a favor and purchase a bottle for the price.

Don't get the comparisons to One Million (very sweet) & Bad Boy Le Parfum (cannibis vibe) which are both darker, WAY stronger & have leather notes. This one is fresher and has more citrus in in the opening (grapefruit & apple) with the sweetness dialed down compared to the other two. The spices in here don't smell super prominent to my nose. i do get lavender in this for sure. For the $20 i got this for its a pretty decent scent. Definitely not a must have. I also don't get the noir naming of this fragrance, its not dark at all to my nose though could definitely be worn at night and cooler nights just spray heavy but its a safe daytime fragrance too. This could be office safe. Boss bottled vibes with slightly less emphasis on the apple (though def there) to me with a little bit of fuzziness, ambroxan maybe?

Reminiscent of 1 Million but lighter, not as loud and definitely less offensive for a wider variety if occasions. It’s nice and not too pricey for anyone who wants a sweet fall scent. I don’t think it would work in extremely cold weather but definitely a solid choice for chilly days. I like this because it leans towards it’s own thing, while still in the ballpark of 1 Million. Now what confuses me is the red version, That one just REEKS of 1 Million, Odd that guess made 2 Million clones however noir is much better in my opinion. Id rather spend money on this, Glad they are both cheapies. Guess has solid stuff tho.

I purchased this for less than $20. I didn’t smell it prior to purchasing, but now that I’ve tried it, I believe that it is on par with my $40-50 scents. ... very happy with it and would recommend grabbing it at TJ Max or Burlington if you see it. It definitely has a Prada Luna Rossa Sport/ Cuba Gold/ F Black style going. It’s performance is not quite as good as F Black or Luna Rossa, but it is also smoother (with lower energy) than those scents. You could probably wear this to work, on a date, or casually. I don’t think anyone would regret purchasing this at a rack store.

This is a really affordable alternative to Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy Le Parfum. Very similar to my nose, which makes sense, because they do share the notes on Grapefruit and Black Pepper. I do think this is a little sharper - and by sharper I mean more "synthetic" - than BB Le Parfum but not by much. I'm continuously surprised by fragrances in the affordable ranges that find themselves on par with higher end designer and niche quality. This fragrance is perfect for the fall, especially fall nights. I'd prefer it for events outside versus close encounter spaces.

Not a bad scent. Is a bit cheaper on quality than 1 Million EDP. But I thank the reviewers on Fragrantica for helping me to make the blind buy. For about $21 I got the 1.7 Oz with a shower gel. I didn't like the opening at first but after a few minutes it's nice, it has the incense smell in the 1 Million vein. Everyone should have at least one spicy / incense scent aside from one with spice in it. Going to wear it tomorrow. Update: Sprayed on 1 Million EDT today. This smells just like it. If there's a difference, I have to strain to define what it really is.

I love this fragrance from Guess for men, it's very sweet and strong, smells very similar to 1 Million by Paco Rabanne but it's much cheaper. I love 1 Million but it's very expensive, Chemist Warehouse sells this Seductive Noir for only $39.99 for a 100ml bottle, so it's a very affordable fragrance that you can wear everyday. And since it's very sweet it's more of a unisex fragrance so women can wear this too, I wear this myself sometimes. So if you want a nice cheap 1 Million dupe then this Guess Seductive Noir is a great option.

Other reviewers so deftly discern this as smelling like 1 Million, and I couldn't agree more! I also agree that this is actually an improvement over the Paco Rabanne, this is a little spicier, drier, and less....you know, goopy. It has a piquant element, not realistic nutmeg to my nose, but pleasant nonetheless. It's warmly woody, with a decent dose of vanilla. I could see many women also enjoying this as well. It's not particularly upscale, but it's a familiar scent profile that has been proven to be enjoyable to many people.

This is an absolute must for a pick up if you run into it. This is by far one of the most expensive smelling colognes for the cheapest price I have tried as of lately. It has a nice moderate sweet smell but also very masculine and moderate spice, just the right amount in my opinion. I don’t quite pick up on any apple and am very surprised to see it as a top note. This is definitely one of those colognes if you blind smelled it and had to guess the price you’d be picking $80+. A solid cologne especially for the great value.

This is a bit like 1million, but not as loud and smoother and more refined than the lomani millionaire. Basically the office version of One million It lasts descent not a strong projector, but very nice smelling. The dry down is even smoother. Safe to blind buy only because it's so cheap, but not everyone will like it. I do pick up a almost Hugo apple smell with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla a hint of orange blossom and a fruity sweetness I can't quite put my finger on. Scent 8/10 Longevity 6/10 Sillage 4/10 Price 10/10

Decent scent for the price. A slightly synthetic scent in the immediate opening, with the sweetness of the grapefruit and apple a lot more noticeable for the first couple of minutes. To my nose, the lavender really overpowers everything else in the fragrance for the rest of its duration. Still a pleasant scent overall, just wish it was paired back a bit more to let the other notes come through.

Got it as a gift,so i appreciate it more than i usually would with this kind of scent...Its nothing new,very generic if you are into niche stuff,but its somehow still better than most cheapies..It has a fresh fruity opening and dries down to a creamy vanilla soap scent..Sometimes i use it as a layering fragrance just to add a bit of freshness,pretty good value for money

Purchased for $20 US Scent = 4/5 Sillage = 3.5/5 Value = 4/5 Woody, cedar, cyprus with a strong powdery base and hints of spice. Definitely a night time , Fall/Winter fragrance. Gets me compliments on a regular basis No more than 3 sprays. Not the most unique scent, but a good addition to any collection. Blind buy worthy for sure.

Picked this up for $15. IMO....under rated. A nice scent..easy to wear.....some "synthetic-ness"....but over-all I enjoy wearing this scent. Great buy for the price. IMHO....does not smell like One Million...or.....Invictus. Although it fits the "type" of scents in the reminds me of section above

Seductive smell. The fruity opening is amazing and the dry down is great. Very versatile. Can be worn anytime for any occasion. Does smell very similar to 1 million after the fruity opening. This projects very well. The longevity isn't great but overall it is a great fragrance.

It smells good and has quality for the price. I'm not sure how close it is to 1million but it's definitely not close to spicebomb Extreme, to whoever said that below. My biggest issue is longevity. I only get about an hour of projection then a skin scent for another hour or 2.

A pleasant fruity, slightly balsamic fragrance with amber and spices. This reminds me of Hugo Boss Bottled and that kind of thing, so perfect for this time of year and evening wear too. Nothing revolutionary here but a nice (if very safe) release with decent performance.

Smells like a apple pie apple and nutmeg tonka give off a apple cinnamon vibe smells amazing for only costing 16 bucks one of my favorite cheapies and performance is excellent all the guess seductive line up is good this is the best smelling and performing

Got this at Marshall’s discounted. It smells a lot like a one million clone. And for the price that’s a good thing! I also get Halloween man vibes from it. It’s my new go to for daily wear as one that’s affordable and has a nice moderate lasting fragrance.

Simply put, this is a 1 Million EDP clone. A touch synthetic and can be a bit cloying(just like the original), but overall it is a good clone especially for the price. Performance is decent, projects 1-2 hours, lasts 4-6 hours on skin. 6.5/10

The brother of Seductive Homme. I like the scent, has nothing in common to the normal Seductive but I can definitely see why some may think it has a something from PR 1 million. Sadly the scent does not last long, but for the price its okay

here's a tip if you find the opening too synthetic you can macerate it for like 2 months to lessen the opening. if you dont know how to macerate all you gotta do is spray it 5-10 times then store it in a dark place without the top.

For $20, this is a steal. It's like a budget date-night scent. It's sweet, fruity, easy to wear, and likable. In my opinion, it can suit older guys as well, depending on their taste.

it's good, but at first I thought it was feminine, but after a few wears, it was fine. There is great grapefruit and lavender I think is good perfume for night

This is an awesome blind buy for me. Nothing complex just a sweet, bubble gum, care-free fragrance that smells good with some sex appeal.
