Old Fashioned

The closest scent I can think of to this is L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense, it's in that general feel of a fragrance, and I think I'd rather wear this one. L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense is supposed to evoke a smoky Tokyo city feel, and this makes me feel like a lumberjack hanging out in a speakeasy in the good ole USA during halloween. This could be in a yellow tinted Creed bottle costing north of $400 next to Delphinus or Creed Centaurus. It's a great and unique creation for a man's collection. Unlike the Creed frags, this knows it's not mass appealing enough to be costing so much. However, the quality is so high with this that maybe it should cost a bit more than what I paid.. I think I paid $30. It's a great Halloween/Thanksgiving scent or just a Carhart wearing lumberjack out on the town during fall or spring scent. It's basically as good as both Creed Delphinus or Creed Centaurus, this one goes the same cherry route as the Creed scents, but definitely into a more yellow/orange territory. There's something super weird and awesome going on in the base that's very unique with an aged oak barrel boozy smoked thing going on. It's uber festive and fun and could fit any warmer winter day, as odd as that might sound. I think it's best for the cooler summer nights or fall and winter. It mostly fresh if it weren't for the smoky oak booze thing going on, which decidely pushes it toward a heavier scent. To me it comes across like a mature freshie, with a short lived playful youthful top. I forgot to mention the spices that make you feel like you're in some niche Hobby Lobby type store, or where I'm from in Utah we have this store called The Quilted Bear that sells high end decorations and candles. The spices push the fragrance more toward a room scent that you can wear and it sort of forces you into the character you'll be playing for the duration of the wearing. As a scent, I think it's generally good, but it's definitely a niche scent. I think it gets a solid 6.5/10 as far as likability by the general public. As a creation that's high quality and something I personally like, I think it gets a solid 7.5/10. In terms of uniqueness and niche, I think it's a strong 9/10 in that regard.

This is an absolute stunning scent. Starts out with sweet luxardo cherries, orange peel, light smoked wood, and the notes of a good quality bourbon (vanilla and warm spices). Smells exactly like a top shelf masterfully crafted Old Fashioned. However, the dry down on my skin transforms into cherry, woody, with a hint of smoky incense. I also love the dry down. The cherry note reminds me of Tom Ford cherry fragrances like Lost Cherry and Cherry Smoke. The TF ones do not last long on me, so I am glad Gulf Orchid Old Fashion has exactly what I've been looking for.

Not going to lie the bottle may look a little tacky, but what’s inside is absolutely stunning. I picked this up for €27 with pretty low expectations, but it completely surprised me. It opens with a juicy, fruity candy vibe, quickly balanced by warm woody and spicy undertones that match the note breakdown perfectly. The performance is incredible also, yesterday I sprayed it a few times on my jumper, wore it again today, and it was still projecting beautifully without a single respray. For the price, this is an absolute steal!!

Just amazing. No fragrance this inexpensive deserves to smell this amazing. Starts as a boozey, fruity, warm scent and dries down to a sweetish woody, leathery, spicy dream. This is a perfect date scent. Just a couple sprays and I see a bar at a high end restaurant, some cocktails, some delicious food with a beautiful woman. Later on, back home, the dry down is spicy and sweet, so perfect for intimacy. The next morning it’s warm, comforting and clean. Just perfect for romance. Jeez, how is this sub $30?!?!

Fiance picked this up at Burlington. He's a lover of old fashions & middle eastern fragrances so we couldn't pass it up. The bottle design is so so cool - if you really hated the orange piece, it could be removed - but otherwise it is so unique. The main notes we pick up on are identical to what sara_a said: orange, wood, spices.

Grabbed this at Burlington for $30 and it smells like $$$$, I mean whoa. Buy it now , can’t imagine how good it will get after sitting a few. BOOZE, orange, cherry , leather , SMOKE ..yum Somehow they found a way to get the taste of aromatic bitters into a scent and I like. A lot.

Iam glad i brought decant even though i loved the notes but to me this smells just like Box dye bleaches It semlls chemical bleach only people who dyed their hair or went to salon know what iam talking about I dont smell any fruitness on this

Picked this up at Burlington about 2 months ago. At first, my wife and I hated it. Now, it is quite nice. I do get SLIGHT Monkey Special vibes but I don't consider it a clone. Lasts at least 8 hours.

Wow this juice is excellent! Another blind buy worthy masterpiece! Very long lasting fragrance that i can still smell when I wake! Buy it and find out .

Fragrance Journal Entry #116 At first i was not a huge fan of this and it wasn't until i actually went out and ordered an "Old Fashioned" drink...and then i got it...it's a perfect recreation of the drink. The aged rum in oak barrels, the cherry garnish, the cinnamon on the rim, it's great and i truly appriciate it for what it is now. With that said the wife is not a fan of this scent so i will likely be getting rid of it but it's solid for you boozy scent lovers. Rating: 7.4/10 Blind Buy Safe? NO

Just used it for the first time, maybe 5 min ago. I get a lot more cloves than the votings suggest. Actually i mainly get cloves past the first minute where the booze is stronger but subdues quickly. They for sure will change in the next weeks though so i will come back one day with review. I dont expect the cloves to be the front runner

This one is so interesting, it definitely smells like a cocktail. It's spicy and almost antiseptic, like a bug spray? Except I do like it. I'll probably test it out more in colder weather.

the smell of wood and orange is beautifully noticeable. it dries to this vanilla scented leather patchouli. I LIKE

Opened up with a fruity sweet cherry with a bit of rum, before the incense comes in and makes it a much darker fragrance. The spices and cloves start to come in and it smells like someone dropped a cigar in a 🥃 in the best way possible.

It opens up boozy- woody with noticeable amount of incense but the dry down is very balsamic velvety leather. Many other fragrances come to mind when I sniff this one.

I haven't smelled the original but this dupe smells like a slightly more feminine version of Dark Rebel by John Varvatos. I love it!
