Sunset Kiss

Sunset Kiss is so far under the radar it might as well be in a locked vault. Think Indiana Jones: rare map, hidden trail, forgotten temple... except the treasure only costs pocket change. I mean it’s only been reviewed once in an entire year?! That single rave review was enough to make me buy it (thank you synthwavebaby, you are probably my scented soulmate.) This fragrance is a surprisingly sophisticated tropical-amber scent that radiates warmth and a touch of intrigue. It projects beautifully and has extraordinary longevity - I sprayed it in the early evening and it was still very much alive 11-12 hours later when I woke up. It's very unique in my otherwise massive perfume collection, and it's one of those fragrances where you can't really discern the individual notes; this perfume has many specific notes, except the moment you smell it, none of them step forward to introduce themselves. It's like they combine to create a new super note that's completely unforgettable. The price is absurdly low for the quality, and while I’m tempted to keep quiet, this one deserves more than cult status in a dusty corner of the internet. This is one of my top perfumes of all time. I came across this fragrance online by chance, and knew after seeing the notes that I needed to have it. For $40 on eBay, it was a very good deal. It’s a shame that few others seem to know of Sunset Kiss—if more people did, it would quickly become the new it girl scent, this year’s Yara. It's gorgeous: a hint of berries and bergamot at the beginning followed by lovely, sweet florals, and rounded off with delicious vanilla and amber. Positively lovely on all counts! I'm on my second bottle already, and I love wearing it to bed for its sweet, soft, floral comfort. Edit: my heart skipped a beat upon seeing this in a Middle Eastern fragrance store. People must be catching on to how good it is!!!

I love white floral and amber so this perfume appealed to me. I don't like a floral fruity mix but the opening to this isn't offensive, its bright. I got it in the winter so I'm interested to see how it will fare in the spring/summer. The dry down is absolutely gorgeous and creamy. Gulf Orchid is becoming one of my favourite perfume houses. Its sits close to the skin but I have only just got it, I'm hoping the performance improves. It's worth the buy. Love ❤️

This has grown on me. At first I only got pistachio and some very familiar fruity oriental ( ? )...but...I've been rummaging through my closet and I can't identify this with anything there. First of all, the scent is strong, I think it's also suitable for evening and winter wear. I still get that pistachio, but it's not the main star of this scent, it just gives a bit of that "shaving foam nuance"to the bottom. The scent is not sparkling, although the scent bubble is big, light and pleasant. What my nose picks up most is blackcurrant. I get it even a little pungent at the opening, but on my skin all that sour tartness melts very quickly into a honeyed amber sweetness. I also have its sister scent Honey Moon, this one has the same kind honey at the base but very, very lightly. In this scent, the "honey" doesn't overpower the scent, like that Scandal-style honey in the green bottle does. As the previous reviewer said, I also don't think this is a one-note song, who charmed with it's unexpectedness, but this is a really pleasant, very balanced scent, the performance is excellent and the sillage is just right. Let me also mention that there is no that nostrils burning musk in this one, the pistachio drives that base so much more beautifully. I think this scent has all the elements to become someone's favorite scent.

My bottle has been maturing for a couple mos. This is probably my third time sampling. At first I thought it was just meh, but right now, 9 hours later, 2 sprays, there is a delicious dry down. I look at the notes and surprise, surprise one of my favorite dry down combos vanilla, vetiver and musk=heaven. I do get quite a bit of black currant, a little pistachio and a little pink pepper in the top and I smell something tropical, but nothing in the notes. I’m really surprised, I thought it would list tropical fruits or something! Is it just the name that’s giving tropical? It does smell like the color peach! It’s pretty! Will probably put away until Spring though because it is kind of synthetic. I think she needs to mature more and I will update!
