My World

Fresh tropical opening. It's fruity, floral and musky. Some aquatic aromas, a lil minty, a note of Clementine maybe? Has a fresh out the shower vibe. Turns airy, aromatic and slightly herbal. Still tropical. Notes of citrus pith, orange. Turns coniferous with cypress, pine/juniper and vetiver. Eventually becomes a soft-spicy patchouli skin scent. Performs well. Better for hot weather. Daytime wear. Smells a bit "90s" but is decent all round.

#1681 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this sprayette from scentwithsense.com. So many scents similar to this from the Paco Rabanne “Invictus” line to the YSL “L'Homme” line, but this most closely resembles Birkholz “Royal Amber” which is another example of ironic marketing since there’s no amber in it whatever (f—king marketing people). Basically a citrus-ginger freshie that’s nice, but not a standout. If you already have YSL “La Nuit De L’Homme Bleu Electrique” or the several hundred out there just like it, you’ve got this covered. But, 125ml of a fairly good EDP freshie for $30 is a deal I'd hesitate to pass up if I were in the market. The Birkholz this mimics is $285 and entirely synthetic. The quality is good for a freshie and this will work in any environment. Where this gets my vote is no lavender to make it smell like laundry detergent, but sage and juniper berries, giving it a more green lean like forest underbrush. And again, just $30, though I probably have a dozen $9 Al Rehab scents that are pretty close to this. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

My World Halloween is an aromatic, spicy, and woody fragrance. Its opening features sweet citrus and ginger notes. After a few minutes, it becomes spicier, with the presence of black pepper and some green aromatics increasing. After about an hour, a sweet note of praline and wood emerges, vaguely reminding me of Paco Rabanne's Black XS. From then on, the fragrance doesn't offer any further aromatic twists. My World struck me as a fragrance for autumn and winter or for evening wear in spring. It's more suited to casual and informal occasions than special events or those requiring elegance, as this fragrance seems somewhat carefree and youthful. Its longevity was approximately 6 hours, with a sillage that starts off moderate and then gradually fades. I liked the scent, but I didn't love it. However, I think it could be very appealing to a wide audience, from young people to those who have a touch of nostalgia for Black XS. Finally, as I always say, this is my opinion, but I invite you to try the fragrance and form your own opinion.
