Eartha

I have been wearing this for about a month now and it has become my signature scent. It has an earthy/woody, yet feminine profile that I truly love. I only wish the longevity was better.

Eartha is a very lemony zesty, peppery rose as it starts. It becomes much more woody and mossy rose as it goes a long. I get the guiac wood very strong and wish the rosewood shined more. Also, for me the pepper really dominated and turned this quite masculine for my taste. Along with the smoke. It overpowers the rose and the jasmine. I like this more for a man. This is a very dry, woody, smoky rose, slightly rose. I wish they had put more of a floral emphasis on this fragrance. I would have rather smelled more jasmine, more rose. Less, woods, and smoke. I don't hate it but I don't think it is the best feminine release. The marketing doesn't add up to what the fragrance actually smells like. There is a bit of a medicinal quality which olibanum can have at times. I like this better for a man. My husband will wear this fragrance. My favorite from this brand for myself continues to be Josephine which is absolutely stunning. I don't hate these new releases but they are a bit generic compared to some of the earlier releases like Josephine or Langston and Duke. This fragrance is quite dry. I'm not the biggest fan of dry fragrances for women. For me they work better for men. I do like the dry down of this fragrance. It is so much better than the opening and the mid. Still I have to enjoy a fragrance in all stages of its development before I buy a FB, especially at these prices. Josephine is still the best bang for your buck if you want vintage feminine sex appeal style that lasts.
