Cheat Day

You immediately smell chocolate. I prefer the chocolate scent in this to Chocolate Wasted. There are no boozy notes that make this turn bitter, this is pure sweetness. Then you get a little bit of strawberry. After that is settles down into an indistinguishable chocolate/sweet scent that definitely reminds me of neopolitan ice cream. This is different enough from Ice Cream Shoppe that you could buy both. Ice Cream Shoppe is vanilla ice cream while this is chocolate. Definitely a favorite, although don't expect others to smell it on you. While long lasting the sillage is really soft so that only you can smell it. For this reason I wouldn't repurchase.

The notes are all there and they are strong! I was concerned that the strawberry might be too much but it's not, and it's not too sweet for what it is (perhaps the strong notes are keeping the sweetness in check). If you wanted the gourmand notes in Rebelle to be really strong and the rest to be more or less gone, then this is probably what you're seeking. The musk is mild here, so if you are like me and find the musk in Play Intense for Men to be irritating, that's not the case here. Cheat Day is what I expected niche to be like when I first learned about it, nearly ten years ago, but was usually disappointed (this smells entirely natural to me as well). Apparently, the company is gone now, which is unfortunate, if this one is an example of their other offerings and what they could have done if they had stayed in business. UPDATE: I'm still really enjoying the scent, a year or so after acquiring a bottle. Does anyone know if their new company, Ganache Parfums, has released this scent under a new name?
