Red Iceberg

Red Iceberg is the most mass-appealing fragrance out of the four Haute Fragrance Company scents I own. It’s all about orange blossom, presented here in a rich, wild, and elegant fashion. The citrus notes add brightness, especially during the opening phase. However, there is a mysterious element, likely from the patchouli, that creates an enigmatic and alluring undercurrent to the scent cloud. It isn’t as pure as it seems at first. My husband has never reacted positively to orange blossom as he finds it incredibly boring and banal, but he was taken with this one--a real compliment indeed! Versatile, easy-to-wear, brilliant and creamy white floral that leans strongly feminine. The longevity and projection are moderate on me. Plus, the bottle and presentation are fabulous, IMO. I bought this one new for a substantial discount. I can't say I would have spent full price on it. So, if you're interested in it, check out reputable discount websites.

I do get some citrus in the opening but on me this quickly settles to a white/yellow floral. The ylang is pretty prominent to my nose as there's a creamy sweetness it gives. I don't agree with Pure Poison being similar as I found that to be a fresher floral than this turns on me. I'd compare this more to a JAdore flanker? When I got to the drydown this was slightly less sweet. Overall longevity was pretty average- about 5 hours. With the price per ml though I'm not sure it's worth it.
