Frozen Flame

I was worried about trying "Target" fragrances that I got spammed with ads about from TikTok, but the 2000s-esque ad visuals suckered me in and the notes seemed cool so I went and tried it.. (I also started to notice Hawthorne had some serious perfumers behind their stuff) First whiff, I wasn't thrilled. Grew on me pretty quick though. It's pretty much exactly as they market it, its a very "chrome" and vanilla/woody scent that personally leans much too synthetically sweet for me but I still like it. Not that it smells like Babycat, but 'that' intense and unrelenting deep spicy sweetness is kinda present here, but it does fade into the drydown and I find the scent profile to be pretty unique and enjoyable. I got mine for 20$, I also got Night Swim which is decent. For the price, granted they're 50mls but parfum strength, I'd say Hawthorne is going to make a bit of a wave once more people hear about these. Studded Smoke smells a lot like Ebene Fume, turns out, same perfumer.. lmao. So Hawthorne is spending some money here, my guess is to compete with the influx of Middle Eastern houses everyone is buying from. Also, Santal Soundtrack from them isn't my jam but it is INTENSE and the smallest amount lasts on clothes stronger and longer than most "nuclear" niche frags. It was annoying how long that fragrance lasted on me after I tested it, if you like that DNA that's probably a killer deal. I like Frozen Flame, love the vibe the company is throwing out for the ad campaign, and I'll also be looking forward to new releases in the future

Listed notes: Black vanilla, chrome, and white cedar Presentation: I kinda like the chrome-plated bottle and the cheesy graphics the company uses. 50ml bottle. For a $25 USD fragrance that I bought at Target, this is blowing me away. I've spent much more money on much worse fragrances. The LAST thing I need is another vanilla fragrance in my collection but this was too good to pass up at such an affordable price. Hawthorne Frozen Flame takes a wonderfully cozy, warm, and pillowy vanilla note and wraps it around a fresh metallic sheen with a (slightly) woody backbone. Performance and longevity are both insane. I just wore this for the first time tonight, and I can still smell it on my skin after working a 12 hour shift AND taking a shower. I want to gatekeep this. This seriously deserves so much love and hype. It's an absolutely amazing fragrance at a steal of a price. Hands down the best supermarket fragrance I've ever tried, and quite possibly one of the best values in fragrance today. EDIT: This has some serious longevity. I could smell this on my shirts after washing them. In fact, it made most of my clean laundry smell like Frozen Flame.

Comfort in a bottle. Idk how to describe it in more words than that but that’s what it is. Last long with good projection but you can become noseblind to this a little easily. I’ve worn this before, literally could not smell it on my skin, but my mom still told me I smelled good. Everything from surround scent is good.

Mmm I love this one. It’s sweet, powdery, and soft. The metallic note gives it that “fresh” smell to it also. Really good cologne, one of my new favorites. also got it at target for 25$, only meh part is that it’s 50ml. Speaking of which I should definitely get some backups before they sell out. BLIND BUY #2: Amazing cheapie with niche qualities imo. Smells like eating a freeze-dried vanilla ice cream sandwich while you're floating in space. The metallic essence is captured well. Cedarwood provides a nice foundation. It's well-blended and underrated! Sweet, powdery, creamy, woody

Very nice scent combo. Sweet vanilla, little touch of woods. If you like vanilla scents this is a great one for the price point. Very good quality also. Haven’t tried yet but I imagine some good layering combos.

Such a nice fragrance for the price. It reminds me of a JPG with more focus on vanilla. I 100% recommend

This fragrance blew my expectations completely out of the water; I'm not even glazing. My expectations were low. I mean, historically, has any 20-something dollar fragrance ever been impressive?? Not really, at least not to the fragrance addicted. So, up here in the note pyramid it says 'metallic notes' but Hawthorne calls it 'chrome accord'-- either way, not entirely sure what that entails but it smells AMAZING with the vanilla either way. It smells like metal, obviously, but it's not gritty or weird and cold. The type of vanilla they use in this is warm, deep and rich. The vanilla is absolutely intoxicating. The kind of vanilla you're shocked to smell in a fragrance of this price tag. The cedar is subtle; it adds the slightest bit of spice to the vanilla. Overall, the way they all interact with each other has the depth of a much more expensive fragrance. It's well balanced and smooth, not sharp at all. The longevity on this is insane. I sprayed it on my wrist in target and kept getting whiffs of it hours after I left the store. It was insane. I could even still smell it on my skin after a shower. Absolutely amazing job by Hawthorne. Update- going on close to 20 hours since i put it on my wrist and I STILL smell it! It’s faint, but it’s there.

First spray gave me homemade vanilla ice cream vibes. There is definitely vanilla in this fragrance. Behind the vanilla is a nice classy easy wearing woody note. Woody like opening a new cedar dresser drawer. Just walk away with this: Vanilla bomb.

I’m not surprised why this one out of this line is the only one featured on the site (at the moment). It’s quite a remarkable scent for its price point.

I feel like The Silver Surfer wearing ts 7.4/10

A wonderful amalgamation of all of the male targeted vanilla fragrances with a slight niche twist. scent breakdown - Opens up surprisingly unique with this sharp, somewhat “metallic” vanilla (think Pegasus, Couleur Vanille, or Hyper Musc). As it dries down a lot of synthetic musks and other aroma chemicals, notably Ambroxan, come out to support and boost the sweetness with a BR540-esque sweet musk backbone. Not much change after that. personal thoughts - This whole collection of fragrances was a huge surprise for me when I stumbled on them at target. While this was not my favorite from the collection, it is a wonderful cheap vanilla fragrance that’s sure to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth without putting too big of a punch in their wallet. Fairly interesting in the beginning but dries down fairly boring, so if you’ve smelled your fair share of vanilla fragrances you’ve probably smelled this. Nothing special, what it does it does well. performance - Great performance of 10ish hours with good projection for the first 3 or so. Amazing for the price. rating - 6/10. when to wear - Chilly spring mornings; Cold rainy days in; Comfy sweatshirt + jeans weather. song vibe - Self Medication by Logic, Seth Macfarlane, Redman, DJ Statik Selektah TLDR - Vanilla + Slight Metallic/synthetic freshness + BR540 Backbone. A great cost conscious vanilla fragrance that while at its core an amalgamation of the vanillic trends of the time, it takes some notes and nuances from niche fragrances to make something unique. A must try if you have a target near you. Edit: I take back what I said about performance. This lasted 48 hours on me, through 2 showers, and kind of gave me a headache if I was in an enclosed space like a car. SPRAY WITH CAUTION.

Smells like a paycheck. Simple boring vanilla fragrance.

Definitely in the same realm as PDM Pegasus except it performs substantially better. I don't really notice any quality difference in the notes that my nose can pick up on either. Absolute no-brainer for $25.

kinda like pegasus and metallic musk spicebomb but more vanilla forward it’s light and easy to wear for the price i can’t really complain good job target frags lmaoooo
