Tabac Headspace

This is SO good. My fav from the extraits collection, there’s smth so delicious about it Honeyed spices, lots of clove with sweetness, I cannot distinguish tobacco or patchouli as separate notes but some blend of those Definitely rich, chocolaty kind of patchouli I do think it’s unisex but probably just a delight on a male. Really impressive P.S. realised what it reminds me, and compared them on two wrists - La Rapsodie Noire by Dusita. The delicious coffee with spices on tobacco-patchouli-vanilla bed The opening and heart are quite different, but the drydown and “tone” resonate. No wonder I loved this one, La rapsodie Noire is also one of the fabs (and an acquired taste, I went back to a sample a few times over a year or so before I fell in love and bought a travel size bottle)

Yes this is good! A large bit is reminiscent of Tobacco Vanille with a hint of dirty chai and Chergui. Compared to the TF it's less sweet and adds some spiciness to the style. It smells pretty mature but also more modern and in a way more streamlined than the TF; less fruity and dense. Main notes apart from tobacco and vanilla to me are hay, anise seed, and coffee; in that order. I'm not a fan of tabacco stuff per se and I love this, so if you do are a fan you might want to get your nose on this.

It takes the best aspects (a sweet tobacco meets an understated coffee) of Tobacco Vanille and combines it with the best aspects of the anise-seed and spicy notes of Legacy of Petra. It’s a very scenic scent as can be expected from Julien Rasquinet. It reminds me of a kind Of mix between: a Turkish coffeebar at the Bosborus in the morning and what a 19the century dandy’s house would smell. It’s oppulent yet classy, it doesn’t scream, but gives a nice glow.

It starts off powerful and masculine: a ristretto, several cigarettes smoked in a row, the skin peeks out of the base. But after a few minutes, it's a spicy latte with ginger biscuits. Hay contributes air and volume to the composition. An interesting and beautiful variation of the perfume on the theme of coffee rather than tobacco.

The combination of tobacco and coffee is instantly exciting. The hay note, reminiscent of Chergui, feels warm and beautifully comforting. Nothing about it feels artificial or cloying. Definitely full-bottle worthy.
