Vaniglia Verveine

This is a well kept hidden treasure: low budget, with an amazing performance, and coming from a pluri-certified italian herbalist company. This is my favourite vanilla for warmer months, but it's also a perfect gourmand during winter holydays. On my skin, the opening is lemony, citrusy, green. Citrus leaves everywere, but with a solid background of sweetness that grows, and grows to the point of delivering a perfectly balanced fragrance of bakery vanilla with a distinguished citrusy aroma. Just wait a minute before judging it. This is basically vanilla bakery goods with the citrus notes becoming more rounded, sweeter, not green anymore: it reminds me of candied bits of orange peel that you can find in many italian typical bakery products. Basically a delicious fluffy cake made of vanilla and butter, with candied citrus fruits. At this point, Vaniglia Verveine quickly becomes extremely similar to Dulcis in Fundo by Profumum Roma, maybe even more powerful in sillage, but the price is 70% less. VV has a bit more of citrus spice, while Dulcis is more subtle, but nonetheless, the DNA is the same and if you like the Profumum, this is a really close dupe. There's a touch of powdery flowers coming through, just to give a bit of complexity to the fragrance, but without ruining its gourmand vibe at all. It stays true to the citrus vanilla pair during the whole journey, coming back to a full gourmand vanilla lemony cake in the end, with a touch of deepness due to malt and amber. The actual pyramid, straight from the box, see citrus leaves in the head notes (lemon, lemongrass, verbena) and artemisia, both flowers and leaves. The middle adds Heliotrope flowers, sweet orange flowers, verbena flowers. The base uses real bourbon vanille from Reunion Isle, barley malt and amber notes. I hope that this is going to be updated. A safe blind buy for every citrus vanilla lover, absolutely marvelous.

At first it smells like lemon ice cream. Slowly it turns into something warmer ... like cookies or lemon tart freshly baked. The Bourbon vanilla is adorable with its absolutely natural scent. A sweet and gourmand scent suitable for all seasons. I love it!

the drydown is a very pretty lemon vanilla pound cake, but the opening is too green and harsh, too masculine, aftershavey. can't spray that thing on myself.

Una composizione gourmand che assomiglia moltissimo a Dvlcis in Fvndo di Profvmvm Roma. Le note verdi escono solo lievemente all'inizio, ma vengono quasi immediatamente coperte dalla parte agrumata e limonoso della verbena. La vaniglia è sostanzialmente ethilvanillina, che col passare del tempo si mescola al limone e rievoca un aspetto totalmente gourmand. La persistenza è molto alta, specie durante i mesi caldi. Fragranza molto piacevole, per gli amanti del genere o per chi voglia un profumo- coccola.
