Quino

Quino is very similar to Dunhill's Icon as they share the same accords and have many notes in common. You get the bergamot, neroli in the top, lavender, cardamom in the mid and a vetiver, woody base. Yet they are not identical. On a side by side comparison I do get a stronger citrus / sour-ish vibe from Quino, because of the lime, lemon and green mandarin. That zesty opening will stay for quite a while until you get to the woody and slightly herbal base. Longevity-wise Quino pushes easily the 8h mark. Projection-wise you will get 3-4hours moderate sillage and later on it will become more of a skinscent. All in all it is a beautiful fragrance and if you like Dunhill's Icon, then you will like Quino as well. The only problem is the price tag. 129usd for 50ml (Quino), compared to 30-40€ for 100ml (Icon). 8/10

Quino is my least favorite of the Helio scents. It is most similar to Capsene and Bloozeberry from the collection, similar herbal fresh citrus scent. But this is the dirtiest of the three, there is something distinctly dirty and sour here that I don't love on my skin. Half of the scent smells fresh and refreshing, the other half definitely makes me smell worse than I would otherwise. I don't know what it is. Maybe all the tart citrus plus a dirty vetiver? Spicy mint? Which breaks my heart, because I love mint, but this mint is too rough, no sweet herbal pull to lift up the scent. Also the drydown straight up smells like weed on me. I would pass on Quino.
