Les Dieux aux Bains

Just got my 15ml from the company. These are my first impressions after one day of wear. Didn’t love the opening, everything came on strong, but in an odd way... kind of herbal citrus, disinfectant. That lasted a couple minutes then it calmed down a little. Then I got a strong eucalyptus and floral. There’s something fruity in there buts it’s very much in the background. It smells like a spa. I think that was what they were going for, so I think they accomplished that. The floral component is very prominent on my skin and makes this lean feminine. I actually don’t get any mineral notes per se, but there is something that makes it seem aquatic, and I’m guessing it’s the eucalyptus. It’s not aquatic like ADG, (not the ocean breeze) but like there is humidity in the air. Hard to explain. When I smell this on paper, the juniper berry is much more prominent, that gets swallowed up on my skin, just leaving the floral and eucalyptus. Longevity, it pushed out for 3 hours or so, then stayed closer to the skin. Lasted about 8 hours, but was more of a skin scent after 5-6 hours. TBH I’m not sure if I like this one or not. It smells like a spa and it smells like soap. Not an offensive fragrance, but not blind but safe IMO, because it’s a weird sort of soapy smell. Leans feminine, but I like think guys can rock it. I’m going to give it several more wears over the next month. I like to wear it in lots of different scenarios to get a fuller picture. I’ll report back.

This is the best fragrance from the brand, and honestly, one of, if not the best, fragrances I’ve ever smelled out of the hundreds, if not thousands, I’ve tried. For a fresh and clean scent, it has great projection and longevity, which is what you would expect from a fragrance around the $200 price point. I only wish they made it in a 6.7 oz bottle. I know it sounds redundant, but it truly smells like a spa, and the scent fits the name perfectly: Les Dieux aux Bains which is literally “bath of the gods.” What makes it stand out from other citrus fragrances is its complexity. The combination of juniper berry and eucalyptus creates that incredibly clean, refreshing spa-like atmosphere, but it’s blended in a way that feels like a complex citrus fragrance It’s absolutely worth trying, and at this point it’s the best fragrance in my entire collection. Hopefully this hits the discounters someday because if it does, I’ll definitely be stocking up... and bathing myself (and maybe my kids) in it.

Ok, I’m doing a follow up to my review below. I’ve worn this for a month now, gotten to understand and smell it in just about every situation that is common to me, office, meetings, gym, chilling, yard work, etc. To cut to the chase, I love this stuff. It has quickly shot to the top three in my collection, the other two being Green Irish Tweed and L’Immensite. It’s fresh, relaxing, and pleasant. I’ve grown to love the opening, and the florals have died down to my nose a little and now I just find this unisex or maybe slightly masculine leaning, in as far as a spa can smell masculine. It still lasts about 7 hours with 3-4 sprays. This is really great stuff. I also don’t find it basic, it is sparkling and herbal and floral and citrusy. Definitely getting a full bottle of this stuff when the 15ml runs out.

This smells like if a niche, herbal, minerally Acqua Di Gio was mixed with high end epsom salts with a dash of woods in the back, with lots of lemon on top. This smells amazing. But the projection on this is abysmal. I'm not someone who lives or dies on if a fragrance is beast mode or not but I have cheapies under $25 that project way better and last just as long as this fragrance. Which is a bummer because it's so nice. This is so signature scent worthy and anywhere you go, you'd be the cleanest smelling person in the room, if people could actually smell you. This is one of those scents that if need to be low key with your fragrance, this is great for that. The longevity is great though, it just sits more as a skin scent. Incredible fragrance, piss poor projection.

Honestly, this is my new favorite "aromatic water" fragrance. There are a few fragrances that lean into that minimal smell, like Pacific Rock Moss, Wood Sage and Sea Salt, or Sailing Day. To me, this fragrance has them all beat. The main notes here are Juniper Berries, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary; these linger throughout the entire 8 hours that it remains identifiable on my skin. Although the fragrance is definitely in the "aromatherapy" realm of fragrances, it actually smells and projects as a wearable fragrance should. While the longevity is great, still radiating off my pulse points after 8 hours of work, at no point are any of the notes overwhelming. If you're looking for a niche aquatic or "aromatic water" fragrance, give this a shot.

The name for this fragrance seems so appropriate to me because it reminds me so much of 000 by Le Monde Gourmand which is basically a clean, musky Sprite smell that I enjoy using after a shower. Les Dieux aux Bains has a bit more of an aromatic dimension to it and is generally more substantial smell (000 is so light and fleeting), drying down to a very clean musk that actually sticks around. I suppose more appropriate for a godly bath, compared to 000 for my peasant shower 🤣 Oh and kudos to this house for making 15ml bottles!! I hope more follow suit.

A fresh, aquatic, herbal opening with the juniper berries, lemon and rosemary notes all distinct. The eucalyptus is just a bit medicinal for me in the opening, but not unbearably so, and fortunately the note softens and fades quickly as it dries down. It’s a gorgeous, unisex fragrance and I love the long dry down which is so clean, fresh and just a little sweet - you really do feel like you have emerged from the bath of the gods ...

My signature scent the only negative point is the performance. It’s a very fresh, subtle mineral scent that I’ve never smelled anything like before. In the opening, it smells like a cleaning product (on a good way), but as it develops, it transforms into a very clean, slightly marine, and mineral scent. It’s also very easy to please people, and I can’t go wrong with it. It’s also a compliment magnet.

Fresh & clean fragrances are without a doubt my favorite, out of my 215+ bottle collection. This is hands down my top in that category. It's literally perfection in a bottle. I could wear this every day of the year for every situation, and it would work. Who doesn't want to smell like the cleanest person in the room? This is 100% blind buy safe!

A sharp aromatic opening that transitions into a watery ambroxan drydown. Very enjoyable and clean, reminds me of Pacific rock flower more than Pacific rock moss. Has a similar salty wateryness, but this is much more airy and clean. Good stuff.

I don't know about y'all but this is worth all money! If they ask for a million give them! If Naxos and Imagination had a baby something like this would come out. It's classy and beautiful! 10/10

The scent of this fragrance resembles the bottle it's in. Very clean, fresh blue bubble bath type of scent. Incredible after a shower or going to the office. Inoffensive gem.

I bought a full bought as soon I smelt it. It smells like a luxurious aromatic bath. This continues to wow me the more I smell it. Definitely my new signature.

Amazing simplistic French fragrance, smells like a bathroom after a hot shower with eucalyptus and lemons

Just got this and I'm here to review! I saw a lot of hype with this one, and then I saw a lot of people disappointed as well because of the hype. Well, when I first got it, I was expecting something basic because of all the disappointed peoples' reviews I was reading elsewhere. And yes, I was a little underwhelmed at first. I had just got home from work, ripped open the package and gave it a spray. It first reminded me of Azzaro Chrome- something basic, soapy and clean. It was meh... at first. But hours later, when I had time to relax and give it another shot (as opposed to smelling it before I even got to take my jacket off from work and relax) I was really able to appreciate the notes so much more. This fragrance is WAY more woody than soapy. My initial thoughts were that this was almost like Terre d'Hermes- and now that I see people saying it's like Le Labo Baie 19 I must agree. They are both clean citrus wood heavy fragrances, and that's is exactly what Hellenist LDAB is. Very clean, very fresh, and VERY woody. Something else I almost forgot to mention- the opening is VERY ozonic (perhaps those are the mineral notes). But the opening really reminds me of Bond No 9 Bleecker Street or ATH Ozone. I'm glad I got this ultimately. In total, some of these frags are wildly different from each other, but throughout the stages of development, the frags I'm reminded of with this one is: Azzaro Chrome, LV Meteore, ATH Ozone, Bond No 9 Bleecker St, Le Labo Baie 19, ATH Hombre, and ATH Morpheus.

I’m wearing Les Dieux Aux Bains right now. On paper, initial spray it’s like your typical Aqua de Gio fresh, aquatic, juniper berry scent. Kinda alcohol like rubbing alcohol. Leans masculine. Something I would wear right out the shower or for the gym. I have a strip that I sprayed yesterday and smelling it now...it’s actually sweet?! Like some sort of fruit kind of sweet. I dunno maybe like a guava or maybe a melon? I dunno definitely some kind of fleshy fruit I’ve smelled before. Very pleasant I like it when it’s dried down. On my skin, I can barely smell it. Maybe I’m nose blind but it’s very faint. Overall it’s a good scent, don’t know how it will wear the rest of the day but I would buy it from someone if they were selling a decant or partial bottle.

because of the hype my bar was overly high, but to keep it real. this smells very citrusy, i do get a hint of moss. think of like a spa where it smells like lemon and a vaporub humidifier is on. is it worth 220? no, luckily i got it for 180. Again it does not smell bad at all it actually smells very good, extremely fresh and clean almost relaxing. and i will wear this alot. the problem is for that price point there is alot more options. if this wasn't so overhyped i would appreciate it more. 8.6/10

I really like this! Probably wont go full size but happy to use up my sample spray. It's crisp, bright, fresh, and I definitely get the waterfall image. Super enjoyable scent that'd be easy to reach for on warmer days.

Start is a bit punchy with the citrus and pine. Dry down and further feels similar to an herbal epsom bath kind of vibe going on. Quite refreshing in a meditative sense and different honestly.

I can’t believe y’all have been hyping this bullshit up, especially in the Facebook fragrance groups. It smells like an adidas cologne you can get at Ross dress for less, Burlington or tjmaxx and to charge 2 bills for something with such a basic mediocre profile is diabolical. It smells cheap too. Shoutout to the homie daggersack for giving me this sample from our recent swap though. It’s good to have friends so you can try shit out and not waste your money. This is not a terrible scent, but it’s garbage for the price. It shouldn’t be more thank 50-60 bucks tops.

Opening: There’s this type of seaweed note that reminds me of Megamare by Orto Parisi and Sirenis by Liquides Imaginaires, but here, it’s toned down. It’s like an aromatic version of those two together. It’s also a bit camphoric thanks to the eucalyptus. As it dries down: It reminds me of Nuda Veritas Extrait by Atelier des Ors with the white florals and marine notes. The “seaweed” smell is still there, nonetheless. Overall: I’m not really into the marine/seaweed type of smell (except for Mariner’s Rhyme by Francesca Bianchi), so this one is a pass for me. 3/5

Strong, aromatic, boring. Unfortunately, I didn't go noseblind like some of the lucky people here, so I was stuck with this smell for a few hours.

@IsmellGud69: what other options come to mind. The suggestions for similar fragrances on this page look like nonsense to me. And, whoever said this smelled like adidas cologne, huh? I get not thinking it’s worth $200, but it isn’t a basic ‘90s designer blue cologne. It’s in the same ballpark as imagination in that it’s intended to be a soapy, clean fragrance, but it blows imagination away, IMO. Obviously, much of this can be subjective, but your comparison to adidas is just absurd.

To those interested in this beautiful frag..it smells nothing like Orpheon. I have and wear both quite a bit. Les Dieux au Bains is much more aquatic mineralic, more camphor and citrus with a dryer woody backbone. This is inherently summery, beachy and even sharper more along the lines of something from the Un Jardin line or even an aromatic cologne style frag. It's one of my favs, but maybe not even the best from this insanely good line.

The people saying this doesn’t last or project are simply going nose blind because of the ambroxan in the base, others can still smell it i promise. It is a shame though because it’s lovely while you can smell it. It’s a mix between Hammam by Regalien and Aqcua Di Gio and Sedley. Aromatic aquatic soapy, i will be giving this some wears in the hot weather this year for sure, aalong with Imagination and Wulong Cha and Vibrato

I wore a sample of this to a outdoor concert over the weekend. And i'm confused by the people saying it doesn't last or project. The sample had about 5 sprays in it and those 5 sprays lasted the entire day (8 hours) outdoors. I will look to get a full bottle very soon.

guarantee people are going noseblind to this, i sure do. sprayed 6 or so sprays an hour plus before hanging out with the lady and she commented that i smell good but that it was strong. Mind you, i could barely smell it at all at that point.

I was expecting this to be "nice", but it's really good. Very fresh with a touch of acqua. There is a very slight bit of Soul Cafe here as well. FBW for me at least. I was not expecting to like this as much as I do.

There are many scents that, no matter how pleasant the opening, on my skin, "go soapy on the dry down." This is one of those many. Once dry this could be Toy2, Indomitable, or YSL Libre--soap, soap, soap. Nope.
