Ōtĭum

Otium, from Latin, meaning leisure. Realistic wild berries with a slight white floral touch in the opening. Drying down, the shy florals hide behind a sweet ambery scent, with some slight but pleasant castoreum, which I didn't realize was here at first, but it adds a darker dirty touch amidst all the light freshness and cleanness, giving it lots of contrast. More versatile than I expected. As the name suggests, perfect for leisure time. Slightly leans feminine for me but I'd wear regardless. Pleasantly surprised

Starts out with a slightly green, indiscriminate fresh berries accord which fades quickly into a long lasting vanilla scent. There are more notes listed for this, but on my skin this is basically a berries and vanilla combo that lasts all day. It’s pleasant with good projection and I do enjoy it. Other than that, I don’t get much from this. The bottles are cool, but I haven’t found any of the perfumes from this house to stand out.

castoreum is one of the notes and adds a strange funky dry down to an otherwise really nice fragrance :(

Otium is a fragrance that transported me back to childhood memories of savoring Captain Crunch, surrounded by the sweetness of creamy berries and the warmth of a comforting treat. According to Hemcael's website, castoreum is listed as a note in this fragrance, but thankfully, it's expertly blended and doesn't dominate the scent. Upon initial spray, I'm greeted by a vibrant burst of sweet berries, subtly accompanied by a touch of fresh green leaves. As the fragrance evolves, it becomes increasingly sweet, but in a delightful, indulgent way. The florals are subtle and add a touch of freshness to the scent without overpowering it. I adore this scent and am thrilled to have it as a permanent addition to my collection. The performance of this fragrance, as well as every other one from Hemcael, is truly impressive! On my skin, it lasts a remarkable 8 hours, and when sprayed on my clothes, it seems to last forever. The projection is also noteworthy, filling the air with a beautiful scent that's sure to garner compliments. Overall, I highly recommend giving this fragrance a try - it's absolutely worth it!

This is really lovely it isn’t “powerhouse/beast mode” on me more of a moderate projecting skin scent. I can see this on men & women it’s not outrageously feminine or masculine. A soft natural composition not screechy or synthetic. I was worried of the “white floral” & “gardenia” Notes. Sometimes those notes can bombard the whole fragrance. Thankfully they are not pronounced. On me this is soft berries with a touch of powdered sugar. The “green notes” are also subtle. Reminds me of the perfect spring summer scent. Castoreum is here indeed and provides a sweetened base. Reminds me a little of Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac in the castoreum regard & these two would layer perfectly! Very nicely done and this company has amazing customer service too. Very nice people to work with☺️
