Correspondence

This is a gorgeous perfume. I have a tester strip that was sprayed with the EdP about 3 months ago & I can still smell it! To be honest I'm not a huge fan of oud but the rose used in this is beyond beautiful. And as it dries down the oud becomes softer-I'm assuming it's natural oud because it smells like the oud that Mandy Aftel uses in her Oud Luban (which I do like!). It's available in pure perfume or EdP and it's very expensive-$1133 for 15ml perfume & $1344 for the 100ml EdP. I need a much bigger perfume budget! As a side note I’m really beginning to enjoy the oud fragrances from HJ. I love this perfume & also Oudh Glam Or.

More masculine & mellower/softer than Onction

A dark, velvet like masculine rose and oud supported by patcholi and ambergris. Its like all Henry Jacques very high quality ingredients and well blended. This is a very deep, dark and a mesmerising rose oud. Perhaps the best rose oud ever. And I don't get the comparisons with other fragrances shown above.Correspondence remains a unique rose oud for me. I can compare it a bit with King Abdullah attar of ASAQ that sells for $ 5000 for 12 ml. That way Correspondence is a steal. Try it first becoz we all perceive fragrances differently.

I have the edp version and it is one of the dark versions of rose I have ever come across. The dark red roses with oud, ambergris, patchouli makes it even more dark and mesmerisingly masculine to my nose. I have tried the oil version as well and that one to me had more richness and woodiness to it than the edp. Overall a nice rose based masculine scent. Worth the price? Not sure.
