Cuba

This is an LA exclusive and another outstanding creation from HJ. Very masculine fougere. Extremely beautiful and easy to wear.

I want a full bottle so bad. I don't know how, but I will get it!

With the name Cuba, I was expecting more tobacco but this is more of an aromatic fougere feel with hints of tobacco and honey and a LOT of juniper. Very nice, cool and warm mix with the lavender and large dose of juniper giving it a clean effervescent feel with the sweet notes and slight touches of smoke, and the floral aspects from the geranium at the side. The vetiver is clearly there and the longer it dries down the more I feel it comes out from under the juniper and geranium. If you're a smoker this feels like one of those that would blend excellently with the tobacco traces left on your clothes so you smell like a refined gent rather than an ash tray :) Great performance too, but maybe a bit rich for me to get a full bottle for what this does; I'll stick with the decant.

If you live niche perfume and the best ingredients on earth, there are three his I think you must put your nose on asap. Roi sans equipage, bonjuer for men, and this the latter two are la exclusives so they may be tough to get your nose on, I contacted a rep from there and he sent me samples through the mail. Now for the scent. I just received my bottle today so I've only had the one wearing experience. Though it, like the gentleman above stated, has very little too so with honey like tobacco like a Cuban cigar, or ashy tobacco like Mandarin tobacco from byredo. I think it's more like unripe leaves before they are harvested. Unlike the reviewer above me stated, I think the patchouli shines more than the vetiver, especially initially. Geranium and juniper make this an uplifting scent. The tobacco and honey give it a warning heart. This is class personified. I think I don't care it's so expensive I'm going to pull for it a lot in every occasion.

Cuba is the deepest perfumes I’ve tried. When I say deepest, I dont mean that it's dark in any way, I mean that it changes and unfolds more than any other perfume. It has layers upon layers. You get the perfect balance of classy, fresh green fougere masculine notes, mixed with the more sweet and deep honey and Tobacco. It last a long time with pretty nice projection. I have the spray version, but I’ve heard that the Oil is even deeper and stronger when it comes to the Tobacco and honey.

I smelled this yesterday for the first time at a botique and I have to tell you - this may be my favorite fragrance house. It really wow'd me. Cuba, Blue Vanille & Heron were my favorites to smell.
