A citrus forward classic style chypre. A truly beautiful scent that harkens back to days gone by before Ambroxan bubble gum and diabetes inducing gourmands scents become all the rage. Reminiscent of a 70, 80s powerhouse. The kind of stuff that put hair on your chest. The lime stays present throughout. You never forget you’re wearing a citrus green chypre throughout the wear. This is leathery and animalic. Almost as if there is an unlisted Civet accord in here. True refinement in a bottle. I’m not a fan boy of the brand by any means, I’ve tested some of their scents and never pulled the trigger wary of the brands pedigree. But this is different. It’s not for everyone’s tastes. People will say oh it smells old and grandpa like. To me it is a beautiful reminder of past great chypres. Only Diaghelev by Roja Dove and this do justice to vintage chypres. This is an elevated gents scent for people who get it. Even though the perfume oil smelt better in the blotter, I went with the spray version as it projects far better. I would advise to do the same if you want to get your moneys worth.

A breathtaking masculine aromatic scent that truly defines refined sophistication. The perfume opens on an almost mentholated cloud with notes of lavender, lime and mint. Once these notes fade, we are introduced to a brief heart of clary sage, lily of the valley and benzoin. The perfume magically transforms to an ambery musk as it completely dries with faint leathery traces. This is classical French perfumery at its finest producing another enigmatic scent that makes you feel like a noble royal and a modern gentleman at the same time. Bravo!

This is an elegant beauty no doubt about it. It is tres chere so it is only for the rich or for those who can find a sample. I could wear this for many many days and never get tired of it at least that is what I believe would be true. His fragrances are among the most opulent I have smelled.

After around 30 minutes, you start getting some delicate, sweet, and subtle aroma that is very fresh, green, and slightly floral. Imagine a stroll through a lush forest, surrounded by the delicate white bloom. The sweet, vanilla-like warmth of benzoin provides a comforting base, while the earthy, herbaceous aroma of clary sage adds a sense of grounding and clarity to it which is both soothing and uplifting. The drydown is very rich and sensua. EP is both luxurious and alluring at the same time. The strong and rugged leather in the base makes it very interesting and smoky but the velvety and creamy texture of Musk is blended to perfection which adds a soft, sensual quality, like the gentle caress of silk. ET is a scent that exudes power, mystery, and indulgence!
