While the perfume is undeniably pleasant, it does not capture the true essence and depth of a natural rose. The scent profile of Rose Bulgare Composée leans heavily on a rose base, which lacks the complexity and richness that one would expect from natural rose extracts. The fragrance doesn't possess the multi-faceted, deep aroma that comes with authentic rose otto or rose absolute. Instead, it feels somewhat flat and one-dimensional, a common trait of synthetic rose bases. One must consider the regulatory restrictions imposed by IFRA and the European Cosmetic Directive, which severely limit the use of natural rose ingredients due to their Methyl Eugenol content. Methyl Eugenol is restricted to 0.01% in the final product. Given that rose otto contains around 2% Methyl Eugenol and rose absolute slightly less, even sourcing a low Methyl Eugenol variant wouldn't justify the astronomical price of this perfume. The high cost seems even more unreasonable when you realize that purchasing real rose otto or rose absolute, despite being expensive, would still be cheaper than buying this perfume. Additionally, many people have noticed that perfumes from Henry Jacques tend to solidify at low temperatures, leading to the misconception that they contain a significant amount of rose otto. However, this is not the case here. The solidification is due to the use of thickeners designed to create the impression of real rose content. Even real rose otto, when diluted, won't solidify in the same way. Furthermore, Rose Bulgare Composée has weak projection, meaning it doesn't radiate far from the skin, which can be disappointing for those expecting a bold statement fragrance. However, it does have decent longevity, lasting several hours on the skin, but this endurance does not compensate for its lack of projection. If you smell Rose Bulgare Composée next to real rose otto or rose absolute, the difference is striking. The natural extracts offer a depth and richness that this perfume simply cannot replicate, highlighting the disparity between a true natural rose essence and a synthetic base. Moreover, the fragrance, while enjoyable, doesn't offer the olfactory journey or luxurious experience one expects from such an exclusive and costly product. For a perfume that commands such a high price, one anticipates a blend that showcases the finest and rarest ingredients, delivering a rich and immersive experience. Unfortunately, Rose Bulgare Composée does not meet these lofty expectations. Rose Bulgare Composée by Henry Jacques is a nice fragrance, but it fails to deliver the true depth and richness of natural rose. Given the limitations on natural rose usage and the high cost of the perfume, it does not offer the value one would expect from such a premium product. It’s a decent scent, but for those seeking the true luxury of natural rose, this perfume may not satisfy.

Bulgare Composee is a Rose geranium fragrance accentuated by cloves or nutmeg and other ingredients which are extremely well blended. And they come as single ingredient. Decidedly feminine scent. Henry Jacques rose supreme is another fragrance which is not listed here but I liked it much better. Rose Supreme is like an avalanche of very high quality, luxurious fresh roses that envelopes and buries (in a good way) the wearer and creates an exotic rosy cloud around him. But the most desirable rose was a taif rose fragrance attractively named Evening in Taief. Only 100 bottles have been made and smells just fabulous. Priced at around $ 5000 for a 70 ml in an exclusive hand made crystal bottle. Both Rose Supreme and Evening in Taitef smell so good and provide an exotic scent cloud that as a wearer you want to breathe in more and more. These are all fabulous creations.
