Flora Carnivora

A very pretty realistic flower tuberose. Opens soft and youthful, lily-like. Clean and reminds me of something marketed toward rich classy young women. Dries down to a tuberose that feels closer to Lys 41 or Do Son but less aquatic and more powdery. Summery solar tuberose. Very nice. I prefer Carnal Flower or Lys 41 but this is a very good alternative, and more feminine than Carnal Flower. I don’t understand the “tuberose being mature” comments for many tuberose scents like this. I must’ve never grown up around adults wearing tuberose scents. To me, this smells like a hot rich classy woman who lives a dream life of luxury and beauty, she can be 18 or 40, it makes no difference, you wish you could be her. Spending $50 on tea and cookies to snack on next to a rose garden. Wearing a Chloe sun dress that costs more than most people spend on rent. Greek vacations and expensive sunglasses. Probably not an ideal scent for 21 year olds covered in glitter chugging vodka Red Bulls at a frat party, so in that sense, yeah a bit more mature. This isn’t nearly as loud as some reviews say. A couple of sprays and it’s very much a skin scent on me, 5-6 inches is the most it projects. Very soft and delicate. Like having a small vase of flowers across the room. I’d compare the performance and silage to Lys 41 or Do Son. I initially had this mini spray in a pile of freebies I received as gifts with purchase to give away/resell but I will be keeping this one and ordering a bottle. Fantastic scent and my husband, who worked 10 years in a fine dining restaurant selling $1000+ bottles of wine to billionaires, loves it and says it’s classy and expensive.

I sprayed a bunch of perfumes at Sephora and accidentally sprayed my wrist with this one. That night I couldn’t stop smelling my arm. Right when I first smelled this, I thought how this is how Poison Ivy (from DC Comics) would smell. Smells like you have just walked outside into your garden after heavy rain. The floral notes are so realistic, like I’m nose deep in a beautiful bouquet of fresh cut flowers. I saw a previous review saying they detected notes of honeysuckle and I second this. Reminds me of when I was a child running around with honeysuckle in my mouth. I’ve also been seeing a lot of comments saying this smells like laundry detergent... I have to say when I wore this to work, a customer said “it smells like fresh clean laundry in here!” so I guess this seems to be a common belief. That being said, florals are quite common in cleaning supplies so I can understand the correlation. To me, Flora Carnivora is an addicting scent that is both sweet and mysterious. I spray this on before I sleep and pretend I’m sleeping in a bed of flowers :)

I got the sample set of all the fragrances from Henry Rose and this was the one that stood out to me the most. Even my partner was impressed by this one as well as Torn. I love a white floral fragrance and this one does not fall short. Beautiful realistic white floral but what’s unique about this one is that the tuberose in this has an almost candy grape like quality that I surprisingly like and feels familiar. Not cloying or one of those fragrances I feel like the fragrance is wearing me so I’m happy about that. Honestly the whole line is like that, they are all very wearable and versatile. I’m also happy with the longevity of this one... some in the line I loved but lasted a short time. This one lasts much longer on my skin than some others like Smyth (which lasted like 30 minutes then barely there). Overall love the whole line but this was the main one I felt was worth the investment of a full size. If you love white floral fragrances I have no doubt you’ll love this one.

Love this one but it's definitely not for everyone. This honestly reaalllyyy reminds me of PMB baby cologne which is super specific. I can understand the laundry comments but laundry detergent tends to be floral scented so that makes sense. I really love how complex it is, I wear it when I want to feel niche and mysterious. It's great for layering, which I did with the dossier Libre dupe and that got me a lot of compliments! I would say it lasts a while on clothes and a standard on skin but nothing crazy. It also doesn't project without spraying a good amount which I don't want to do since it is a small bottle and pretty pricey. Over all I really like it though. A good, clean, effortless vibe, intimate perf!

I am shocked by how much I like Fora Carnivora. I typically do not like white floral, or actually florals at all, but this is one scent that has become my gateway to enjoying them. I absolutely love the green dirtiness of these floral. They aren’t crazy sweet. There is a spiciest to them that make them extremely wearable to me. Actually this and queens and monsters have been my favorites from this house and I own jakes house, torn, fog, char, windows down, sheep clothing. I would consider a full bottle of this, I currently own travels of them.

The fragrance I didn't know I needed. Those who said it smells like laundry, it does but in the best of ways. Laundry fragrances can smell kind of cheap and synthetic; This is much nicer with a beautiful creaminess in the dry down. It opens with a sunscreen-vibe, which I just love and does fade quite quickly. This fragrance was developed over three years designed to smell like sneaking into a garden. It's such a perfect white floral. I would hate to see this get discontinued.

A super soft, delicate floral with a fresh orange blossom note that adds a breath of fresh air. There’s a subtle powdery quality to it that makes the scent feel really gentle and refined. It’s very feminine and unique, but the light musk underneath keeps it from becoming too sweet or fragile. The musk adds just enough depth to balance the softness. Overall it feels calm, cozy, and unique; its perfect for a wet, cold spring day🌧️🌸

I am not typically a white floral/tuberose kind of girl but this perfume might make a convert out of me! This is classic white floral with a modern twist. There’s something a little salty and creamy about it that I just loveeee, makes the scent just meld into my skin in the most delectable way. It’s romantic, sensual, and so feminine. Maybe not groundbreaking but I think she’s just gorgeous!

My fav scent for spring. Maybe i'm drunk right now but this is the juiciest, stickiest most delectable white floral scent i've ever smelled....it almost triggers my spring allergies and I love it. Obsessed and enamoured. Makes me feel so joyful. Even if it lasted forever it wouldn't be enough...I love you Flora Carnivora

Tuberose&Jasmine of my dreams! Soft, Elegant, Beautiful! It is what I wish Gucci Bloom and Do Sun were. FBW but I will have to force myself to finish the other two first. I can see where people get expensive laundry detergent. Might be the neroli? Too bad there’s minimal projection.

this perfume has changed my whole outlook on life. i thought i didn’t like tuberose. i’ve never enjoyed the smell of jasmine. until now. this smells like laundry detergent... my favourite scent.... is laundry detergent floral?! what’s going on here?! i love this.

Flora Carnivora is flowery, fierce, dusty, and animalistic. Everyone who says it smells like laundry detergent had better laundry detergent than me. Love this scent on me. Layers well with other scents.

Loved the clean linen dry down that I got on paper but on skin it was a little bit too sharp for me.

Henry Rose perfumes, more than any other house I've purchased from, seem to respond very very strongly and inconsistently to the wearer's skin chemistry. For me, this perfume smells absolutely lovely. Pure and hyper realistic. It smells exactly like a walk through the streets of Vietnam in the cool of the evening. The night is soft and humid, and the blossoms are releasing their fragrances in the night air. No laundry, no tortillas, no metals. I would highly recommend always buying HR testers before ever buying full sized bottles because of the inconsistency. The scents that work with my skin are *amazing* and the ones that don't are so bad they need to be scrubbed off.

Candied white florals, so sweet that at first I thought they were violets; but lighter and airier than that. It's not bad, and for Henry Rose, it's pretty potent stuff, since sometimes their fragrances are too light (this has a particularly strong opening) or dissipate too quickly. This is too pretty-pretty for me to wear, since it leans exceptionally decidedly feminine; but if you want something both clean and girlish, this is a good choice. As with so many of the Henry Rose fragrances, do not expect from the name of the scent anything dangerous or Gothic--this is the antithesis of that.

I honestly didnt care for this scent when I tried its sample. But I purchased a gift set that included a mini bottle with 2 of my favorites. I intended to just layer it and tolerate it, but something changed. I sprayed myself with this last night and fell in love. Maybe it was the weather changing or maybe it was just me craving a different scent then when I used it before. All I can say is, now I get from it what I originally wanted. A sexy scent that makes me feel like a man eater. Im a femme fatale on the prowl like the best Catwoman, Michelle Pfeiffer herself

I surprisingly enjoy this fragrance from the line and I am not a person who prefers white floral notes. It is sweet and fresh and thankfully reminiscent of a warm spring/summer breeze outside rather than “old lady” stuffy florals. Definitely neroli-dominant at first and strong, two sprays was enough for me, but it fades fairly quickly and turns more tuberose/vetiver/cedar. I got about 3-4 hours before I couldn’t detect it anymore. I like tuberose so it works for me but I can see it being nauseatingly sweet for others

For some reason this reads to me as a very green fragrance? I don’t pick up on the powdery laundry detergent vibes other have pointed out. To me this feels like running through a grass field and a almost nectary mushed off grass citrus vibe that I LOVE. To me this fragrance screams SUMMER and nature. Maybe not an every day but this is definitely one of my summer staples. Very unique and unisex. Maybe too feminine for a lot of men but to my mascs and androgynous ppl, this is a floral for you!

Im addicted to this fragrance! It’s almost like a candy floral to me? First spray is very floral, white florals, but after some time it comes down to this sweet, floral, laundry scent. It smells so soothing and sits on my skin so nicely! For some reason, it reminds me of when I was younger and had everyone call me Rose, rather than my actual name. It’s like the scent of that memory for me, the scent of what that name was for me. I love this one and hope to buy a big bottle eventually!

This is such a beautiful scent. It starts off pretty green and floral (I mostly smell the jasmine) and turns more smooth as time goes on. It’s definitely a clean girl scent. I just wish it lasted longer and was a little bit stronger. After about four hours, all I smell is a very, VERY faint whiff of amber when I place my arm right up to my nose. I used to wonder if I usually become nose blind to Henry Rose perfumes, but I think it’s really just the scents’ poor longevity.

I'm giving this to my son. Smells like fresh herbs that were just rinsed off. And also smells like a laundry mat. It's very unique. I definitely get the aquatic vibe. I definitely think this fits a young masculine adult. One of those pool boy types? Or back in the day we would say preppy. Honestly if a masc person worse this to a pool party or beach meet up, it would fit the vibe.

“Your perfume is very strong today,” said my husband, with a sour look on his face. Powerful, floral, musky. I don’t love it but I don’t hate it. Bought it on holiday and clearly got carried away because it’s not sold in the UK. Glad I only got a travel size now. Not one for confined spaces, unless you want to piss off your companions.

Trying this for the first time. At first I definitely got the boring laundry detergent smell, but now it's drying down to a sexy jasmine sunscreen. This would be an awesome summer date night scent. Not sure if I like it enough for a full bottle or if I would say it is super unique or stands out, but it smells really nice.

Just like walking into a garden full of flowers and plants. Smells very realistic, not sharp and synthetic as some floral scents can be. Not heavy, tuberose is not overpowering. I've only tried 2 scents from the brand, but I'm excited to try the remaining 9, if they're as good as Windows Down and Flora Carnivora.

A basic white floral with a lot of emphasis on the jasmine sambac. I agree with the reviews saying that this smells like laundry, but I don't see that as a bad thing. If you like a clean, fresh albeit basic scent and white florals (like me), this would be one to check out.

Got the sample set of Henry Rose. I liked this at first--a strong heady floral that reminds me a bit of the Gucci Bloom in the yellow bottle, which I love. However, my kids think it smells like corn tortillas for some reason, and that dissuaded me from buying a bottle.

this is like carnal flower's pleasant younger sister. the tuberose and the jasmine really make an entrance upon your first whiff but they calm down and succumb to the neroli as it dries down. beautifully put together, it doesnt make a statement for me, though.

it smells just like a box of bottlecaps. specifically the purple one, i think. sweet, playful, even a bit powdery like the inside of the cardboard. very fun ! i think it's an interesting take in a sea of white florals.

Freshly plucked white flowers in real time. Not thick or cloying at all. Longevity could be better. I'm liking it as a hair mist. Almost any from the line might be great as hair mists, might yield more longevity.

Purchase the sample set and when I sprayed this on I immediately got clean laundry hanging in the sunshine, crisp white t-shirt with subtle light florals. Def a nice light clean scent, really like this

I get straight honeysuckle. Very true to the flower itself! Nothing harsh about it very pleasant and projects nicely at arms length. Very clean soft honeysuckle (I know it’s not a note).

This smells like clean white florals on a humid day. There is an indolic quality to this fragrance where the slightest bit of funk hits the back of your nose. It’s also slightly green.

I didn't understand this one until I wore it while walking around West Village. It's Manhattan in a scent. Beautiful, bright, dirty, unique.

Wet, lush white florals that fade into a sun-kissed musk. Reminds me of Hawaii. Potent (you’ll only need one spritz), beautiful.

Flora Carnivora is the final scent for me to try from my Henry Rose discovery set. I have been impressed overall with this house, the brainchild of Michelle Pfeiffer, one of my favourite actors. Their perfumes are made with cruelty-free, clean ingredients, and are on the subtle side, perhaps due to said ingredients. I am a big fan of white floral scents, with tuberose in particular a favourite note of mine, and so was excited to try Henry Rose's take on a white floral. Given the name, I expected something tuberose-heavy, perhaps leaning into its carnal side. Unfortunately, it falls flat for me. It is a squeaky-clean, fresh white floral, reminiscent of fabric conditioner. The orange-tinged neroli is the most dominant note, and is likely the culprit. FC is a clean white floral from initial spray, with fruity neroli dominant from the early stages. Jasmine follows, and is so squeaky-clean, it smells synthetic. It is soapy and bright, but without aldehydes. I get very little tuberose. Orange blossom adds syrupy sweetness as it progresses, a lazy attempt at adding body. It is imbued with clean, white musk throughout, enhancing the fabric conditioner quality. Some soft woody notes creep in as it dries down, but there is little nuance here. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a feminine-leaning, spring/summer daytime scent. Soapy, sterile white florals by way of fabric conditioner, FC is a "clean girl" scent, to quote the TikTok trend, but is ultimately disappointing. Look elsewhere if you seek lush white florals, because Carnal Flower this ain't. Flora Sterila. 2/5.

This is a neroli-forward fragrance to me, so, hating neroli like I do, I was surprised I liked it at all. It's very aggressive (neroli/orange flower/jasmine/white floral, though I don't get much tuberose) after the initial spray, though even so it's not as indolent as white florals can be. It's mature for sure, but not overly sweet or cloying. It leans more photorealistic, but I wouldn't call it especially fresh. Once it's had 15-20 minutes on the skin, the amber/musk/vetiver comes out a bit more, though it's still very neroli-heavy. I don't get cedar at all, but I do get a very slight powder note (but if you hate powder, know that it's pretty light). I sprayed about half of my sample vial, maybe 5-6 sprays, and I found it to be quite present but not overwhelming once it settled a bit; take that with a grain of salt, as I think my skin eats fragrances. It is definitely a stronger fragrance, and while I wouldn't say it's extreme in it's longevity, I was still catching occasional whiffs of it at the end of the day. It ended up being a reasonably pleasant white floral that's mature but still feels contemporary. 6/10

I like this, but it's just pleasant, it doesn't excite me. I'm currently on the hunt for a natural / realistic smelling white floral. This one is closer than many I've tried, but still not what I'm looking for. I'm grateful that it doesn't seem to have any added sweetness or other notes that compete with the white florals or make them take a backseat—it really is predominantly white florals. I don't personally get soap / detergent from this, which is good. But it's missing something. It's a sweet, round white floral, somewhere in the middle on the spectrum from nectary to dry. I don't get anything distinctly perfumey / artificial from this, yet it still doesn't smell realistic to me either. It feels like they surgically removed all the pleasant smells from white florals to make this fragrance, and I'm wishing there were also something bright, green, and/or earthy to make it smell more fresh and realistic, like real, freshly cut flowers or a blooming plant in the garden.

On first spray, do you know what this smells like right off the bat? Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner. Probably an older version because I haven’t smelled it in a long time, but this is that. It’s actually quite pleasant. When you stick your nose up to it, it becomes very floral as the name suggests with pretty strong neroli and jasmine coming through. I typically hate white floral fragrances, but this is okay for what it is. The opening is definitely strong though, so keep that in mind. Since I don’t feel the need to run out and buy a white floral, this one will remain on my “nice, but not voluntarily purchasing” list. 5/10 Edit: Husband said I smelled like an old dead lady in a funeral parlor and old flowers. All I'm going to say to that is that I can definitely see where he's coming from.

This is a heavy musky white floral. It smells elderly and very familiar. My first thought was White Diamonds, although the notes aren’t the same, same vibe. The noisy white florals overpower most of the more subtle notes that almost reduce them to a powdery background remnant. It’s tuberose all the way down. The fragrance calms, but it doesn’t evolve. Just a smaller less boisterous grandmother. I find white florals to be a more depressing note, they lack the vibrancy and brightness of other flowers, and I associate them with the lovely white floral sprays draped atop a casket during a funeral service. If you love a white flowery punch then you’ll love this scent. Personally it was not for me.

Pretty! I think this is a fresh smell, not too too floral in a powdery way, but in a more juicy dewy garden way. Like one other reviewer mentioned, it reminds me a lot of Do-Son. I prefer greener, fresher scents honestly and while tuberose smells good to me for 30 minutes, it becomes annoying after a few hours. I've only tried this on my wrist after a visit to sephora, and it dries down to a musk that lingers. I'm on the fence of whether this is too sweet for me. Might try to get a sample to use longer-term and see how it fares. I think if you're the type to like Gucci bloom and more sweet florals that don't smell grandma-y but still youthful this is the scent for you.

Agree with another view posted by "Seaena". HR fragrances are very inconsistent! Flora Carnivora and Torn have been the most consistent so far, however. Flora Carnivora on its own, has had some longevity issues on my skin. This morning, layered Flora Carnivora with Char, and it is a magnetic combination! Hopeful that HR customer service has improved before I place my next order, as this has been extremely inconsistent and frustrating, and a layer of their business that they cannot seem to remedy.

At first sniff I thought “ohhh, I like this.” It was pleasant and familiar. Then I realized the familiarity was that it smells exactly like diaper rash cream and while I still think it’s not bad scent I cannot unsmell the diaper cream note. The dry down did redeem it some, but idk. There’s so many great white florals out there and diaper rash cream just isn’t the vibe I’m going for. It would have been better if I had never realized why it was familiar. Oh well.

I was getting a ton of jasmine and tuberose. It's pleasant. Not for me as I don't tend to love white florals. Smells in a similar family to J'Adore if you're wondering if you'd like it - less fruity though. Henry Rose is an excellent fragrance company though and I love several of their perfumes. Well worth trying their sampler (for Dark is Night, Windows Down, Torn, Jake's House...)

Typical white floral, grandmotherly at initial spritz turns actually decently pleasant with 30 minutes or so. Close to skin. 2 to 3 hours max. Reminds me of Vintage soap meets L'air du temps that becomes fresh tuberose and jasmine composition. Not sure if this is in relation to MP childhood memories, nostalgic scents as I read in regards to creation of her perfume line.

Not my vibe, but I see the appeal. It smells like a classic perfume that many generic people would probably think of when they hear the word "perfume," but doesn't smell floral to me. I don't know why but all I can think of is DSW or similar shoe stores when I smell this perfume, new shoe smell I guess lol

oh this is a WHITE white floral at it's core. a touch of laundry but veryyy heavy on the jasmine, nearly indolic. i wouldn't recommend this if you hate jasmine in the slightest, but i do think this would wear very well in hot, humid weather. the base notes do turn lovely after some time though...!

A pleasant floral fragrance with some musk and amber to ground it. It is well balanced and non cloying nor sweet but otherwise very similar to many common designer perfumes (hey, they work.) I don't feel compelled to buy a full size.

when i first smelled it, it took me back to snack time near the end of the day in kindergarten. then i realized it kind of smells like the hand sanitizer my elementary school used. very metallalic and kind of chemically floral.

A bit nauseating to me, too strong. Once it dries down, not unpleasant, kind of like shampoo, but nothing special to me either. I wouldn’t hate it on someone else as long as they didn’t overdo it.
