French Exit

This is an exquisitely crafted floral perfume. I am picturing a large vase filled with flowers of every kind. Tuberose, jasmine, aromatic lavender, freesia, peony, lilac. If you love florals really bombastic floral perfumes you should check this out. I got a steal second hand but I would pay full price for this extremely well blended floral perfume. It is like walking into a florist shop. You do sense the water and the cold the flowers are housed in as well while inhaling it's extremely powerful and unapologetically floral aroma. This is not Gucci Bloom remake or Do Son. French exit is much more complex than the original Bloom or Do Son. It isn't creamy bubble gum tuberose like Bloom or Do Son. French exit has a vintage aldehydic freshwater freshness, and unripened peach skin musk and greeness to it. If you like green fresh very naturalistic unsweetened floral perfumes that have a very classic approach you will love French Exit. Unlike anything Henry Rose has put out before. The woody notes only add a thin frame to this very large picture of the most lush floral garden. Edit: there is something of a very tart dark cherry here as well. A lingering desert perhaps? During a passionate date night? This is a great summer romance perfume.

Updating my comment: I love it, it’s nothing super unique but it’s sexy and I understand the advertising now. You can wear it day/ night, though I prefer night. If you give it a few tries, it’s probably top spot for longest lasting and strongest of HR scents - I mean that in a good way. I just add a touch of something vanilla or sweet like Torn or Bee by EB. For “clean” and HR specifically: Longevity: 9/10 Projection:8/10 Overall: 9/10 French Exit wasn’t what I was expecting. As mentioned below, it’s a truly vintage floral, and I had expected the profile to be very different. Not what I expected from HR, which is fine, but the marketing was very off for what it is. The tuberose and jasmine are thick and the black current seems to be what lets the florals come alive. I’m not getting any of the pepper but all in all, it’s a beautiful scent... just not something I’ll reach for often. Mostly for nostalgia.

In love with this for winter. Slightly spiced floral. Very unique; as indicated in the lack of entries for the " this remimds me of category". Truly a different kind of floral. Great segways betwen the many notes. Suitable for many scenarios or occasions. The hawthorn dry down is heaven. Smooth honey. Thank you Henry Rose! Update 1/5/26: Something turbulent occurring at Henry Rose. Buyer Beware! No customer service and products are failing.

Beyond obsessed with this sent. It's a white floral through and through, with notes of tuberose and jasmine, but not headache-inducing at all. The water and driftwood notes give it this aquaticness that I have not found too often in a white floral. The marketing that this perfume has a "phantom presence" that lingers is highly accurate.

Initially I was unsure, but it has quickly grown on me and has become my go-to. Very wearable on the daily with my chemistry, and it attracts my partner like a magnet. Fresh white petals floating in water, with a nectary, woody dry down. A timeless and distinct fragrance.

This is very similar to Gucci bloom EDT. One difference is Gucci has sandalwood in base so a touch deeper. I enjoy the bloom line so I am happy to have French exit but if you don’t like having similar scents I would test before purchasing.

I cannot stand the tuberose in this and ellis brooklyn's florist. I'm assuming that's what it is since both fragrances have it and are both clean perfume brands. There's just something nauseating about it. Id like my bottle to make a swift French exit from my life

A lot of bubblegum tuberose, a touch of jasmine, then the watery ISO E Super (or something similar) woody, peppery base. The advertising for this scent must really be confusing people. In one add they featured cherries and chocolate, a night time femme fatal vibe, which is misleading. Another add by Henry Rose claimed blackcurrant to be the main top note. Which in my opinion it’s barely detectable. It’s very tuberose focused in reality. I picture a beautiful humid summer garden, golden rays of light, and elegance. A nice scent for a “natural” scent. I do enjoy the woody/watery/peppery base that seems to be in most Henry Rose scents but this could get tiring if you want to try something new.

There’s something undeniably nostalgic and old-timey about this floral fragrance. If you’re drawn to the classic florals of decades past, French Exit delivers beautifully with white florals—particularly Tuberose and Jasmine—taking center stage. The choice to release it in the fall is a bit unexpected, though; I would have definitely pegged this as more of a Spring or Summer scent. All in all, it's a nice fragrance mature women will appreciate.

This is a very heady white floral that has a bold presence. The jasmine and tuberose notes announce themselves early and stay for the entire time. On the dry down you’re left with a smooth, airy wood, like ISO-E Super. The profile is a feminine scent that lasts for at least 4-6 hours. All that to say, you absolutely must love tuberose (and jasmine) because this is an indololic white floral that is unapologetic in its identity.

Inoffensive tuberose as someone that hates tuberose. Smells like it could ACTUALLY BE A FLOWER, and not like pure distilled screechy, grandma, wet-diaper, cheap (hair) conditioner white floral. Big ups.
