Menace

This is my favorite fragrance from Henry Rose, and it deserves far more attention than it has received. Although the name evokes (I assume) an approaching thunderstorm, it smells more to me like the California Pacific coast in a thunderstorm's aftermath: sea notes and cypress, with some citruses to make it lighter and patchouli underneath to give it oomph. This a beautiful and relaxing scent.

I like this. Its definitely more of a male leaning fragrance but theres something about it I really love. Reminds me alot of the green polo cologne my dad wore in the 90s. I just went to see about getting a travel size and I'm sad to see it looks like its discontinued. What a bummer! If you live in Los Angeles and want to sell yours message me 🙏

I really like this one. It comes across the nose like some kind of aquatic Hollister style of fragrance. My favorite genre are the blue/aquatic/fresh type of fragrances, and this could well deserve a place in my collection as it fits the bill and boasts of the clean non-toxic ingredients that this brand is known for. Such as it is, this would be a great gift for men.

Salty green notes, lots of cedar and cypress, a bit of sweet musk in the drydown. Reminds me of a handsome man with sun kissed skin in a white oxford button down. Beautiful, easy to wear, but not groundbreaking - I’ve smelled similar aquatic colognes. Definitely leans masculine and is short lived, lasted around 2.5hrs on my skin.

subtle citrus notes at first and then started to smell like an evergreen tree. very fresh but not distinct enough to be memorable.

Smells like men's aftershave. More like something you'd want to gift to a boyfriend then wear yourself if you like it

Menace smells like any standard citrus-aquatic men's cologne from the 90s. Nostalgic, fresh, pleasant, but unoriginal. As a woman, it leans way too masculine for me, and as a Gen-Xer, it smells like every clean-cut, Levi's-and-collared-polo-wearing first date I ever went on as a teen...sweet memories but not really what I'm looking for.

Green dry citrus with hints of scream but not bad, just sharply woody in the background. A bit like being in a garden of spiky herbal leaves in the sun while wearing a lemon cologne. Rather nice, completely unisex.

This really does just smell like a generic men’s cologne. I personally really like it, but I can’t defend it. I get some weird reactions from people when I wear it.

It does lean towards the masculine side, however, on the dry down the Tangerine and Lime really stand out and make it wearable for a woman IMO.

pretty generic mens aquatic cologne but pleasant all the same. citrus forward, fresh and clean.
