Dusk

This is an essential oil based cologne with notes of cedar leaf, sandalwood and sage. I fell in love with the Herban Cowboy Dusk shower gel for its projection and clean scent back in 2019. I just found out about this cologne today and that same heightened boost of seductive self-confidence I felt with the shower gel back then slapped my thalamus once I sprayed myself with the Dusk cologne tester in sprouts. My wife loves this on me as it is a banger filled with bold masculinity in every spray. Worth the buy and blows many designer colognes out the water. Date nights in spring, winter and fall for sure.

I bought Herban Cowboy's Dusk for my boyfriend. It was a blind buy. I really liked Blossom (also a blind buy) so I figured this would be nice, too. It might be favorite men's cologne due to the clary sage note present. It reminds me of the smell of a forest bed on a really hot, humid day. Love it.

Oh how my sister made me feel old when I showed her this cologne and let her sniff it a few times. She had a negative look on her face and told me it smelled like old man. I was like "ouch" sis that was a bit harsh and cruel but her comments did not change my mind on this scent. But her keen sense of smell is far more advance than mine. This has a powerful blast of lavender and spice that comes out almost musky to me. After that initial blast it slows down and the citrus starts to make way and I was shocked to smell this 5 hours in. Being a more natural scent it does feel less synthetic and not as complicated like other colognes. This is not the best but something different in my opinion despite smelling like old man like my sister said HAHA! 7 out of 10

I think its time to review this. I don't own it, but I sample it every time I go to the health food store (once per week). Herban Cowboy has a few offerings for men and a few others for women. Dusk is my favorite; it has a pleasant lavender scent with a little citrus in the background. I've also tried True West, which is not listed in the database; didn't like that one as much -- reminded me of bug spray. I really want to try Forest, but there is no tester available at my local store. My daughter liked Blossom, so I purchased that one for her. These are pretty much essential oils with absolutely no synthetics. Perfect for health-conscious people and a great change of pace from all the designer synthetics that exist now.

I was very intrigued with this company and their vegan approach to beauty products. Naturally I was drawn to this cologne. I decided to pick it up from Whole Foods on a blind buy and one the initial spray you get a heavy dose of sweet spicy lavender with that sage coming through. As it dries down the scent almost all but disappears but not before leaving a gentle note of the bergamot. All in all I would rate this fragrance 5/10 due to its lack of performance and originality for the scent. I'd recommend spraying a little more on since it's an eau de cologne.

Ok, it's been YEARS since wearing this, but a quick review. It was pleasant enough, but, although not listed, I distinctly remember a strong CARROT note that totally turned me off! I'm willing to try again, but I doubt it will work for me.

Oh, this is good. REALLY good. Worth more than twice the price. It opens like any one of those typical high-quality lavender fragrances that you've smelled many times before ... but then it takes you on a journey through all the notes listed (plus a few more) before ending on a warm and woody note, laced with a faint whiff of citrus. Sillage and projection are slightly above average, and longevity is average. All this, and it is organic and vegan too! This is the only product I own by Herban Cowboy, but the near niche-like attributes of Dusk and its quality pretty much guarantee I will be trying their other products.

I tried this on at the natural food market. On the drive home it began to grow on me, so searched here and finally found it! I didn't remember the whole name just that it had the word 'cowboy' in it. And as I smelled my wrist I could swear it had a slight musty dirt note with the woodsy notes, I thought they really nailed the cowboy vibe! But now after two hours that note is gone. Still smells great. If I was a man I'd get this.

I bought this because of friendly recommend. I like it but it does not last on me. It is a lovely and complex scent, and I wish it lasted a little longer with my skin chemistry.
