Dirty Jasmine

This is a beautifully natural but modern and easy-to-wear jasmine. It's notably indolic for only a few minutes, but then dries down to a photorealistic, slightly desiccated jasmine. There's an undercurrent that's dry and a bit earthy. Slightly more adventurous jasmine lovers might find Heretic's "Jasmine Smoke" to be more to their tastes. That one is by far the dirtier of the two Heretic jasmine fragrances. This one is simple but sophisticated.

This is a natural fragrance without any synthetic ingredients. The ingredients listed are jasmine absolute, grapefruit peel EO, lemon peel EO, hay oil extract, ylang ylang flower essential oil, black pepper fruit EO, vetiver root extract, tuberose flower extract, neroli absolute, orange leaf extract, jasmine flower extract, white champa leaf EO, honeysuckle EO. I thought that I smelled a mix of jasmine and vetiver to begin with, but then it settles down so that some of the other scents - maybe especially the honeysuckle - come out. While I am happy that this company is making fragrances without synthetics, I think I would have been happier with less vetiver since that is really quite strong.

If you like the smell of diapers (maybe that’s where the dirty comes in), or maybe it’s baby wipes, then Dirty Jasmine is for you. I do not. My favorite jasmine fragrance is by Intelligent Nutrients. I’m also working my way through samples of all the Heretic perfumes. So far, I haven’t found one that appeals to me. Sadly.

This one was not for me. I agree it had a weird smoky diaper/medicinal scent. I love jasmine too so I was bummed!

Lovely realistic jasmine with a hint of green earthiness. I was hoping for something a bit more narcotic and rich, but this is a good office friendly jasmine, not particularly indolic or overwhelming. Projection is weak but it lasts a solid eight hours at least on the skin. A beautiful springtime scent.
