Twilly d’Hermès

- Everybody loves the sunshine - ★★★★★ Twilly has been on my purchase list for over a year now but I, for reasons unknown, never found the momentum to buy and wear it myself. I fell for Twilly on the first spray a year back and convinced my equally gorgeous friend to buying it. Needless to say, Twilly complements her carefree sunny personality perfectly and she absolutely radiates with it. Who wouldn’t want a bottle of sunshine? So spring came and I got one. The real mastery in Twilly is how deceptively easy and simple it smells. A tuberose of such size as in Twilly is no easy task to tame and the usual collar consists of heavy oriental bases and lots of spices. Another contemporary mainstream tuberose Gucci Bloom also attempted to switch the oriental riding crop to something else, but the tuberose wouldn’t calm and stayed screechy. Twilly however, succeeded. How the perfumer did it seems easy now that its executed, but it must’ve been no easy puzzle. Here the tuberose is stripped from its, typically amplified, sweet mothball aspects and instead transformed with herbal and soapy accents. The tuberose is immediately lifted from a fatale red velvet gown into an airy summer dress without losing a single drop of maturity or femininity. Who knew tuberose could be joyous and playful without the usual sexual mischief. Tuberose in itself wasn’t a ground-breaking ingredient since it has been a trend for a while now, but the brain of Twilly’s composition lies by the ginger and sandalwood. Ginger is dominantly a masculine note used to improve spiciness without losing freshness and it is deviously used here in that exact same way. In fact, the fresh-sweet and disciplined spicy character of this ginger in Twilly is very similar to the one in the original YSL l’Homme pillar. They both share an elegantly carefree attitude that I believe is achieved with the right dose of sweetened ginger. Now sandalwood is virtually present in every composition and yet again an unsurprising choice but perhaps that’s where simple genius of Twilly (and Narciso with cedar) comes in – it doesn’t try too hard. Why would you infuse the base with more ambitious notes like oud or patchouli when you can just do the trick with some good old creamy sandalwood vanilla. The tuberose in Twilly is genuinely friendly and the ginger is relaxed, a heavier base would just ruin the fun and bury their poor unfortunate souls with unnecessary heaviness. This is what happened with another ginger-sandalwood floral Tom Ford Noir Femme. In Noir the base is yummy enough but it lacks a sense of freedom and seems forcefully sexualized. To smell a fragrance aimed specifically at young women which can actually be taken seriously is something not often done. Twilly is no simple floral nor a loud oriental, but a nimble mix of both. She is smart and well-spoken with genuine warmth, positivity and curiosity that is achieved only on the path to unconditional acceptance of self. Lovely! Now, let the spring bloom! I am testing this from an official sample, sprayed twice to the back of my hand. One word review: CLASSY If more is needed... To me, the ginger isn't particularly strong, even when first sprayed. It's not a "foody" ginger, but more of a warm sensation - a tingle, if you like, at the back of my nose. What I smell from the start is a stunningly beautiful, creamy tuberose. This is not a gourmand, but the tuberose is so delicious, I could lick my hand. It's not "shrill" as in Fracas or Madonna's Truth or Dare. I'm not being negative about either (I love them), just want to establish that you won't find the animalic and raunchy facets of tuberose in Twilly; this is a poised, refined lady who makes her entrance quietly. Fracas (definition: "A noisy disturbance or quarrel") is aptly named. ToD is similarly boisterous and has huge, room-filling sillage (someone at least six metres away from me complimented me on my perfume. Admittedly, a breeze was blowing through the window and they were downwind of me, but still...). After about 30 minutes, I can smell the sandalwood, which can sometimes mimic a light oud (in Vilhelm Parfumerie's Fleur Burlesque, for example); not so in Twilly. This is a gentle sandalwood, there to provide a base for that glorious tuberose. Sillage is moderate at best (or worst, depending on your outlook) and longevity...? I don't know yet. To be honest, I don't care either. It's lasted for well over two hours already and I am happy to respray every few hours - I'm buying it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This fragrance is highly underrated. I regret not buying it sooner. Twilly has quickly become my most worn fragrance. It's such an easy grab. It smells like expensive French soap. I'm not into Paris or Parisian things, but this gives me Luxurious bubble bath in a large white and gold claw-foot tub at a prestigious hotel in Paris with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance as you bathe LOL Very dramatic, but that's what I get every time. It doesn't smell soapy though or like a typical clean fragrance or like laundry. It says ginger as the 1st note. I use ginger daily and don't smell much in this lol However, like many, I do smell rose, but a sweet soft rose. Yes! Add sweet roses to that bubble bath haha It's beautiful. Fresh and luxurious but not so luxurious that you can only wear it for special occasions. This is a daily scent or signature scent. Hermes always blends their fragrances so well. It smells like nothing else I own. Definitely a compliment getter! My #1 fragrance overall but also #1 for the heat. It will keep you smelling fresh and fragrant all day. Also good as a gym scent if you're like me and don't like to smell sweaty. During the Fall season, it thrives in the cool breeze. Though it's technically more feminine, this smells good on a lot of men too. BUT as much as I personally love it, I agree that body chemistry is very important, so I do recommend you test it first.

This is a strong feminine scent to me and I love it. I don't even care if other people like it on me, I like it on me and it makes me happy. Very surprised to see such a mixed bag of reviews with this one, must be one to try before you buy. I've just opened the lid and without spraying, to me the sandalwood is the most prominent note. Maybe a bit too much for summer or hot humid weather. The staying power on this is just phenomenal. I'll quite often use this when I plan to use it or a few days in a row as I just love how powdery it smells the next day. I have sprayed it on clothes and washed them they still had hints of this left in a really pretty way. It smells like a younger version of a perfume an older woman would wear for a special occasion when she wants to be noticed. Probably also a bit too heavy for the office but could be pleasant if sprayed the day before to give it a chance to settle. I wouldn't immediately call this classy or sophisticated as its a bit loud, but I would call it intentional and luxurious. 8.5/10

Wowsers! This...resonates... with me. I can't quite explain it, but just as ginger ale can settle my stomach, this settles my psychy somehow. I get ginger, tuberose and the vanilla mostly. Touches of citrus and wood, but its the ginger that appeals to me. I went to bed wearing this last night and slept very very deeply. Best sleep I've had in...well I can't remember when. I've had it on all day today as well and I am so drawn to it. I can stop smelling it and it's giving me a soothing, peaceful vibe. It's bizarre actually and kind of freaking me out a bit 😳. I've only bought a 30ml bottle as a blind buy. I'm definately going to get the largest one, or multiple 30mls. I can't even say it's love at first sniff because it's not, its actually beyond that. Perhaps this is my true signature scent? Regardless, this will sit besides my bed as my sleeping fragrance for now because I need some more of that wonderful sleep. ❤️

My new favourite ! Twill is very lovable in my opinion. It's an everyday joyful, fun, happy scent. A warm floral, a fresh , fruity gingery tuberose that smells warm and inviting and very fresh. Upon first spray it opens with ginger and tuberose , completely addictive ! Then the tuberose turns into a creamy warm slightly soapy fresh scent that turns very soft . Throughout the day I catch fresh whiffs not knowing if that is Twilly or fresh laundry or someone else around me that smells clean and fresh. I believe the ginger paired with the tuberose is very peppy and clean but soft and warm. I just love it. I love the presentation , the colours, the lid and the entire fragrance 10 out of 10 , best Hermes fragrance to me.

I have 2 bottles of Twilly edp, one from 2018 batch CCABP, and the other from 2020 batch ECBA0, and they seem two different perfumes, different color of juice, still sharing the same DNA. The first one is rich and dense and incensy, like being an Essence EDP as compared to the second one which is light and little spicy and seems an EDT. The 2018 is really impressive... it lasts days on fabrics and 12h on the skin, and it is a perfect blend smelling very luxurious, recalling somehow Miss Dior Le Parfum. I think I’ll have make my first bottle last for 2 years until the second one ages :))) in my collection the 2018 Twilly is among the first 10 preferences. Well done, congratulations 👍

This perfume is so unique. The dry down is a complex warm musk with a hint of spiciness. I can't stop smelling my wrist, it smells so comforting and sophisticated. The opening is definitely sharper, with white florals and ginger shining through, and I can see how some would consider it "old lady", but I would consider it more "classic / vintage" in a fancy way. Besides, that part doesn't last very long, and I think it adds character. This perfume feels both bold and cozy at the same time ; spunky but inviting. I would not consider this a safe blind buy but if this works for you, it is a gem. (Also, MetaMystic's review of this is absolutely spot on!)

It is the middle of winter in the Southern Hemisphere and it has been extremely cold and depressingly wet. Wearing this now makes me feel warm and uplifted and I love it! After sitting dormant for a few years slowly moving towards the back of the cupboard, I pulled it out while decluttering and have not been able to stop using it all winter. I like to think of it as a cup of Earl Grey (which I've been loving too) with a sharp kick of ginger and bergamont at the beginning before gradually settling to a warm aroma that drifts up from within (my many layers of clothes) as I go about my day.

For years, I've treated myself by buying decants of classic, niche, and new fragrances. I've probably smelled 1000's of fragrances, but I've never fallen in love, until now. The crisp light ginger paired with the rich tuberose and the warm soft sandalwood is just perfection. I do not get any bubblegum, vanilla, or gourmand, sugary vibe here at all nor is this a heavy spicy fragrance -it is crisp while being warm. My dad once had a ginger plant that produced huge beautiful, white fragrant flowers. Twilly might be this fragrance memory. Twilly sprayed on clothing lasts for daaaays, FYI.

Such beautiful composition, one of my favorites at the moment. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. It opens up with a more mature older women smell and initially I thought oh my God I have to return this but after 10 minutes later, it starts to smell so absolutely beautiful and divine. I could not stop smelling my wrist. It smells sweet on me but in a very complex way. So don’t be so quick to judge this one let it sit with you a little bit work with your body chemistry. It’s truly beautiful.

This doesn’t smell like anything I’ve ever smelled before. In a good way. It reminds me of my rich auntie 😂 it’s a very fresh laundry type of scent. It lasts FOREVER on me, I put some on this morning at 6:30 am and it’s 12:30 pm and I still smell it which is rare. For some reason perfumes don’t really last on me. And I always get compliments anytime I wear this! I feel this is a daytime scent or maybe a good one for work or something along the lines.

This is my favorite fragrance I own and I will die on this hill lol - it is a perfect blend of spicy with the ginger, sweet vanilla and bright and bubbly orange blossom. cozy, spicy and sweet all at once, theres a slight sensual scent but not an outright sex-bomb lol, its the allure of a quiet sensuality. the longevity is good and the sillage is pretty strong but not a strong trail. It is expensive tho so i only use it on occasion :(

Creamy, soft, warm, cohesive, cute & whimsical. Twilly is so well-rounded that it could seem a bit generic or one-dimensional at times. The fading process could be a bit boring. But overall, twilly is an extremely delightful, inoffensive, pleasant scent to be around. It offers a fantastic adorability that is hard to reject. I would wear it when I feel cozy, playful or wanna have a cute cuddle on the couch with my partner. 8/10

This was a gift by my mother, what an eye she has for perfumes! it started very intriguing and if i had to guess i wouldve said i smelled honey. Once i found out the notes i realized it was most accurate. I think i love this perfume! it sort of remindes me of baby perfume, but just a hint. Its very long lasting and turns delicious on my skin. I am a fan of bergamot, jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood. It is done very well.

I will always have a special place in my heart for this perfume. I had a chance to smell Twilly d’Hermès for the first time in 2017, at Dubai Intl. Airport. I bought a few things so they handed me a small sample as a gift. I had never smelt something as divine before. Modern, floral, confident, fruity, and it lasts forever on clothes. My mom bought it recently, and she wears it a lot. Sideways 8/10. Legendary.

My absolute favorite. LOVE IT. I kept buying Twilly though I never like to repeat the perfume. Its weird for me to read all the negative comments, I guess this is the sort of perfume either you absolutely love or absolutely hate. I had my fair share of good perfumes, I always have 20 plus perfumes at one time and keep buying and trying different ones but this one is certainly among my top 5.

Nostalgic in a sense that this fragrance reminds me of some scent my mom used to wear while I was growing up. Unlike many, I don't get the gingery opening. While it is warm and inviting, this scent also brings out a very preppy and fun layer to it. That being said, you can definitely dress this up or down depending on the occasion. Love this scent a lot!

It’s strange that this is the only perfume I own from hermès, since it’s one of the brands I respect the most. Smelling this again tells me I need to change that urgently. Ginger, modern, fun, and classy. Very cool. It’s also possible that a lot of fragrantica users are teenagers, don’t listen to the noise, just try it in the air during spring.

It is sad that in 2025 there are people leaving reviews based on the the first few minutes after testing a perfume. The opening is odd, i get it but after that the perfume is top notch if you are looking for a clean, fresh and inofensive perfume. If you like narciso rodriguez pure musc, you’ll like this as well, they both smell similar.

There is nothing similar to this as far as I know. So I think it is unique. Absolutely beautiful scent!!!Done to perfection, you can't pick a single note apart from the others.Suitable for all seasons and all occasions. When I don't know what perfume to wear I just wear Twilly and I feel amazing and ready to go. Twilly I love you!!

I love this perfume, my mother gifted it to me this summer and this perfume gives me summer nights vibes. I imagine myself wearing this somewhere in the coast of the mediterranean sea, going to a fancy dinner with a gorgeous white dress and sipping champagne while listening to music and the sound of the waves

Proper replacement for my fav Poeme by Lancome, which is discontinued. Its not a dupe, but they fill the same place and purpose, lush, powdery flowers, warm, classy, sweet (not gourmand sweet). This one works better in spring-summer tho, and Lancome was projecting like crazy in cold weather. Girly elegance!

It was my 18-21 yo signature perfume that always gave me that classic, fresh, energetic confidence boost when I put it on. Astounding performance. Probably one of my most high-performance perfumes when it comes to sillage and longevity. It's a balanced mix of freshness and sophistication.

Sophisticated is the word I would use to describe Twilly by Hermes. My first ginger perfume, I can smell the spicy note mixing so well with the flowery notes, it is a complex scent and I love it. I think it can be worn day and night, but I think it works excellent as a day perfume.

A tuberose and jasmine with indolic orange blossom, you need to love tuberose. She has the DNA of an 80’s scent, with bombastic white flowers at its heart. It’s winter while wearing this and it feels like a hug by the fire. Will be interesting to try in the dry heat of summer.

I really like this one, its bubblegummy, fresh, sweet and spicy. Perfect for spring and summer. Its efortles and elegant but playful at the same time and this bottle is adorable too. I dont think its for everyone tho, you must like spicy/floral scents

One of my warm weather signature scents (yes I have more than one). Stunning Ginger/Tuberose opening. Very beautiful Faceted fragrance, suitable for any occasion and season really. But definitely not a safe blind buy. Good sillage and longevity. 9/10

I love it so much, it might be the ginger that makes it so special. It ́s also refreshing because it ́s not sweet at all and will suit many ages, my mom loves it aswell. I like to wear it in spring and summer because it ́s fresh and classy to me.

I love this so much! Initially, it smells like a fresh ginger flower like they make leis in Hawaii with. so warm, sweet, crisp, fresh, but woodsy and powdery on the dry down. It lasts for daaaaays on clothing and my hubby loves it.

The first thought I had when I sprayed this on was "JPG 2" - you know, the one with the magnetic bottles. It's got that bubbly orange blossom thing going on. I'm a man but can't wait to wear this out.

This is a distinctive smell. It has a vintage and a modern style at the same time. It starts with some kind of spicy smell and then settles into something creamy and smoothy.

Clean, classic and elegant, it does smell like it was made decades ago. It's feminine and not "in your face". Defnitely very wearable for every occasion.

White foral, cutruc, vanilla gives the sweetest and the tubrose overall it's very classic and beautiful.

"Old lady" is only used by perfume illiterates. Why don't you just say "dated" and be a decent human ?

It smells good but it smells a lot like soap

The cutesy name and the quaint bottle with a little Barbie-hair-type bow on top betray the contents. Or is it intentionally misleading? Is Hermes finally getting a sense of humor? This isn’t cutesy. Nor quaint. Nor Barbie. This is tuberose. But I, like Hermes, also mislead you a bit. A confusing thing to me is that Nagel doesn’t overdose this “overtly tuberose” perfume with tuberose. Instead the carnal flower is kept fairly demur in the heart, while the ginger at the top and the big heaping doses of milky sandalwood and vanilla at the base are given more room to play. Maybe using a lot of real (or synthetic) tuberose material was cost prohibitive? Ginger certainly evokes the green and citrusy piquancy tuberose can and often has, and the milky sandalwood more-or-less reflects the creaminess that often comes with tuberose. Regardless, this perfume is loud. It’s a contralto opera singer at full volume in your ear. Tuberose could certainly do that on its own, but it’s the supporting characters that shoulder the mandate of strength. In the crowded field of feminine floral-woody perfumes this seems to have garnered mixed appraisals for that reason, but it also seems to have done well enough for Hermes to release a stupid number of flankers (or maybe to also quell the nay-sayers and give them something they like). In my opinion, as it sits next to the innumerable feminine floral-woody perfumes on retail shelves these days, I will point to this one more readily than the majority of others. At least it’s been made with care and good materials. It’s nothing special; even its loudness is commonplace these days. But there is just something about it that frequently draws my mind back to it when I think of modern feminine floral-woody perfumes. I do really like it, and I’ll be damned if I could properly explain why. Maybe it’s simply that rare sense of humor and crudeness we never see from Hermes. They lure you in with a Barbie facade, and then give you something very vulgar and outlandish.

Personal: 7/10 - I don't dislike it. It's a soapy, white floral, gingery scent. It's not bad. Mass appeal: 7.5/10 - White florals with spice are generally likable, but not for everyone. Performance: 7/10 - Moderate. Solid for a floral, but it doesn't stick around too long. Value: 6/10 - At Heremes prices, it's fair for the quality, but it's not unique enough to justify it. Uniqueness: 6/10 - Ginger and tuberose isn't particularly unique, but it's less generic than the overdone white florals of most designers. SCORE: 67/100 Full bottle buy? YES, it's nice but I don't know that I would reach for it often. Blind buy? NO, tuberose is fine but with ginger it may be divisive. But it's not that pricey. Recommend? YES, for those who want a pleasant white floral, but with a little oriental spice. Date night? YES, it's girly, fun, and pleasant. Casual dates only. Office safe? YES, professional and easy to enjoy. Please don't overspray though. Pros: Chic, sweet, soft white florals with spicy twist. Elegance matches expectations of Heremes. Cons: Tuberose isn't for everyone. Too safe for niche fans, and not exciting enough for the money. It opens with a super clean, almost soapy, tuberose that's complimented nicely by the ginger note. Though I don't often enjoy spice, this fragrance does it quite well. It's playful, but not adventurous. It's well polished, but I think I would rather smell this on someone else than myself. It's clean, a bit soapy, and distinctly floral, but not in a bad way. I find it enjoyable. *Review #51 in my fragrance journey - this fragrance I own as a decant*

I've always had an interest in foraging, much to the chagrin of my neurotic mother. Around age 10, I somehow convinced her that I could identify wild ginger, and she allowed me to harvest the roots and use them in herbal teas. I mention this because the ginger in Twilly reminds me of the wild variant I grew up with, rather than the cultivated product available in grocery stores. The effervescent, candied citrus zest & big, beautiful tuberose make the first gust mesmerizing, and the perfume improves with time. The aforementioned stunning ginger note does a lot. Subtly bitter, with licorice-y, anisic touches alongside the familiar dry-spicy, tannic, lemon-lime facets we associate with ginger. The sandalwood note is masterfully worked out, with hints of vanilla peaking through. It's a fairly new release, so there's a sharp molecule note in the base, but I don't pick up on it for hours. I've read a lot of reviews from people saying this perfume is weak/doesn't last, but I think these people are going anosmic. To my nose Twilly is intensive, powerful, long lasting. A modern twist on a classic style, and a true work of art. I think Christine Nagel's work on Twilly perfectly demonstrates that the lack of interesting designer perfumes has more to do with the perfume-buying public than it does with the perfumer's palette, or their creativity & talent. Every time I encounter one I like, I feel the urge to wax poetic. Beautiful job, more of this please.

I just got this as a gift for Xmas, and asked for it because of the scent profile and love ginger in fragances. But the thing is I don't smell much ginger. It's there sure, but it's very subtle. Maybe because I'm used to arabian fragances, and expected a ginger bomb. I do smell a lot of white floral and orange. I also don't smell something plastic-y in the dry down but I guess everybody's skin is different. The dry down is fresh and clean on me, soft musk-y bergamot like...Can't pick up on any vanilla. To me it's a perfume I'd put on at the start of the day when you feel kind of "Meh, I am so looking up to the day, so tired. I have so much stuff to do and am definitely not feeling it." Spray this on and it's like an instant motivation boost. It's happy, uplifting and cheerful. It's a comforting and very recognisable easy scent. Classic & warm. It's very generic and a little boring, but that's OK, sometimes I need a bit of easy generic and uncomplicated. It's perfect for the office or travelling. (Or just when I feel a little melancholic or tired.) The sillage is armslength and it lasts about 4 hours on my skin. I don't understand how this would last so long on other people in the comments, maybe it's my skin? Could be.

Looking at the notes, the bottle and the description- I was convinced I would like it. Bought the cutest miniature with a bowler hat. From the bottle, it smells wonderful. Soft, spicy ginger with just a hint of sweetness, all the while remaining clean and luxuriously soapy. So different from anything I've ever smelled and wearable year-round. On my skin, there seems to be very little projection. Oh well, blame it on the dabber. The scent appears and goes as it wishes, but that expensive soap feeling turns into imperceptible dusty powder on my skin. Unremarkable and sometimes even unpleasant/sickly. However, sometimes (but still rarely), when I'm not trying to catch whiffs of it, I smell the aroma from the bottle in the air around me. My favourite is the dry down: a creamy sandalwood that rears its head 2-3 hours in. In my opinion, you must like sandalwood and ginger in order to appreciate this. I've also been told I smell "wonderful" by two people, but I think I'm either anosmic to it or not using enough of the dabber. Maybe this is one of those fragrances that smell great in the air and horrid on skin. Might get a travel spray and try it out again. NOT a safe blind buy. Longevity is around 5-6h in warm weather.

For me, this is a great example of a perfume that I don't want to wear every day but love for the moments when it's exactly what I want. Firstly: yes, it's got a vintage structure that is not everybody's cup of tea. I think it's the bitter orange top - tuberose mid - sandalwood base thing. For me this came through as a dose of pure nostalgia: the super-bright gingery-orange top and soft comforting sandalwood-vanilla base all upstaged by bunches and bunches of soapy, flirty tuberose. It's peppy and joyful and a lot, actually, and it makes me think of the way I saw girls in their 20s when I was about 10: so free and so pretty and for-sure-grown-up. I love that about it. I don't usually seek out this flavor of happy-femme-floral, but I bought Twilly d'Hermes on a whim at an airport after a lovely vacation because the first sniff was so cute and nostalgic and different, which seems like the correct way to buy this perfume, somehow. Is it the most elegantly-blended white floral on the planet? Probably not, but that's not the niche it's filling for me.

Well this is pleasant! I have been feeling bored with all my perfumes so I decided to start re smelling my samples ( I have hundreds ) the ginger is quite potent , you get a blast of ginger and then I smell musky tuberose. Also very soapy , it almost smells like Irish spring soap mixed with ginger and tuberose. The tuberose reminds me of narciso Rodriguez musc like musc noir rose or kayali deja vue white flower . This is a more crisp sharp version with no incense . It’s really nice . It’s funny how a lot of rhr time I will quickly smell the samples and not really be interested but then later will discover a new like . I wore aerin Mediterranean honeysuckle clementine today which is not my style of scent at all but I really liked it . Same with this. This would layer beautifully with kayali vanilla 28. Edit - this scent has grown on me so much I ordered a small bottle and I will absolutely order a big one as soon as I can afford it ! Love it !!!! This is just the right amount of mature and pretty and musky , I’m 34 and it’s amazing

Stunning, underrated, beautiful, spicy, elegant. I completely agree with the reviewer before me who described this fragrance. However, be warned - the opening is STRONG. I have to psych myself up to wear this because of it. Definitely one you want to spray an hour before going out (so it has time to settle down) But it is worth it - the compliments I get on this are amazing. Weird thing is - I think other people like it more than I do. As nice as it is, I just don't reach for it as often as I should. (That said - it is a special occasion fragrance. I spend most of my time scrolling in sweatpants vs going out - don't be fooled by my profile pic lol). If you have this and are struggling with it - pair it up with the SDJ Bum Bum cream as a base. The two combine so beautifully. If this combo existed when I got married, it would have been my wedding scent.

It opens spicy with ginger and citrus —just like the notes, but at the same time I can smell white flowers in the background. I like white florals in perfume, and this brings an interesting twist to them. Having said that, I was hoping that the spicy ginger would be more subtle. Thus, I am somewhat ambivalent. Not outstanding, not bad. I think I want to test this during colder months to see if it is better for my olfactory senses. Update: 06/02/2023. I sprayed again. And I like it more; this ever slightly spiciness of ginger makes it so different from the rest of my rather soft mild-mannered perfumes. I am upgrading to like. Besides, my partner, who smelled for the first time today, loves it. That’s gotta count, right?😘

With my initial whiff of the bottle, I found the white florals and powder together off-putting - "Too mature for me" I thought. But something kept drawing me back - these florals are fresh and light, a spryness assisted by the citrus and ginger. The powder is grounding, but not overwhelming. My subsequent whiffs are much different now. I think this perfume is what I expected - wanted - Chanel No. 5 to be like. I would not characterize it as a "modern" scent, despite its more recent creation. But this is something I feel could have been worn in the 1940s, and is equally fitting in 2023. I'm not sure if this is full bottle worthy for me yet, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

I loooooooveeee the scents, but.....The fragrance exhibits very weak performance on my skin, lasting only around 1-1.5 hours. I wore it to the cinema, and after finishing the movie, the scent completely vanished from my skin without leaving any trace. Although it lingers longer on my hair, the sillage remains poor. Despite my love for the scent, I doubt I'll purchase it again, because I have to reapply it every hour and this is not a cheap parfume to buy here in Indonesia. In contrast, the Un Jardin Collection, even as EDTs, boasts impressive longevity, particularly the La Lagune can last for days. Eau Poivree longetivity also good
