Blue Dog

*BLUE DOG* was my second HEZ purchase. I was already loving *MUSES* and was motivated by the notes - Rosemary, Pink Pepper, Ginger, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Marine, Ozone, Lavender, Lily of the Valley, Cardamom, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Incense, Vetiver, Patchouli, Musk and....the original label artwork. I love George Rodrigue's Blue Dog painting. (It looks like the new bottles don't have the painting.) *BLUE DOG* is not (to me....at all) a typical *bleu* perfume (of which I'm not a fan) and is very different from *MUSES*. Everything works very well together.....it feels like a a HEZ original creation. I love it.

Definitely blue but definitely unique! The powdery marine, ozonic, and lavender combination off the top is immediately attention grabbing in a way that makes your brain go, "Wait... what is THAT!?" Then, the whiff of incense and spicy musk undergird that bright yet powdery blue and hold it up throughout the life of the fragrance. Longevity is great on this one too, especially on clothes. A total win from this house! I truly think that if Blue Dog were released by a major brand, it would be the talk of fragcomm and an instant sell-out at retailers.

One of the best blues on planet earth currently. A unique take, but still very appealing. This is definitely my favorite blue fragrance by far at this point.

It’s like a clean soapy slightly tropical baby powder fragrance. Very interesting take on a bleu fragrance

Hard to explain. Smells kind of like a "blue" Tobacco Vanille or Spicebomb Extreme. Very nice

Its a unisex perfume, but kind of leading to the femenine side. Its fresh, blooming flowers, not too sweet and not too serious. Its a perfume that is very relaxed and not complicated. I dont feel it too spicy and to be honest i dont feel too much cardamom. So if you dont like that note or it gives you headache, then you can relax because in this perfume cardamom is not the strongest note. Its fresh, light and dont smell like ocean but the perfume takes you to somewhere where you can feel and smell water running. A lake, river but not the beach. Its like just a river in the middle of a jungle (without the green notes). Its fresh but not in a citrusy way. Its kind of expensive, and i think this will like to everybody but because of the price, i will recommend you to ask for a test before buying it.

This one way too masculine for me-- think I'm sensitive to that patchouli note and is the main focus for my nose on dry down. Think many men would rock this though!
